This place is the pit. I have come here several times and each time I have dealt with pushy sales people who aren’t interested in what you are looking for, but how much money they can get out of you. Today I went in to have them repair a lifetime warranty chain for a sentimental necklace I planned to wear on my wedding day. Prior to being aware that I purchased this chain from their location the sales woman went on about how poor the quality of my necklace was and that I should buy a new chain from them instead. Once I was finally able to tell her it was from Jared she took my necklace to the back where they told her it would take days to repair a broken link. Rather than wait I decided I should return another time to have this serviced. Again, the person helping me insisted I buy a new chain because the one I had will break again and again. Interestingly enough when I originally bought this chain from them, the selling point from the other sales woman was that even though the chain is delicate it wouldn’t matter because I could always have it REPLACED if it broke. You have to be very careful if you choose to buy any jewelry from this company, as you can see they are deceitful in their phrasing and simply do not care about anything but their money. My advice is to go to a real jeweler rather than a major company like this one.
I have been with Jared for 15yrs. I never left a review until today. The reason I am giving a 5 star review is because of DEBORAH! She made my experience such a happy one. She went above and beyond for me. Fantastic hire. We need more Deborahs in this world. Keep smiling!
As always, a great experience at Jared. Unfortunately my local Jared closed and I had to make the trek to Schaumburg which is a 45 min drive (no traffic).I called beforehand and made an appointment with Tina to get my jewelry serviced. I was greeted by Laura who took care of getting my ring serviced. Big thanks to her and Tina who made my visit quick and painless. Really appreciate that they were able to accommodate me.Will definitely be back here to get my rings serviced & for future purchases.Thanks Ladies!

Felt very unwelcomed employee had an attitude didn’t seem like he wanted to help at all. They make you feel like you’re not going to buy or a criminal! I can see from the reviews this is a common thing. DO BETTER I will not spend a dime here and make my purchase at a different jewelry store.

Horrible services! Only nice people when you are buying and if you speak Spanish or look Hispanic they treat you even worse. I took my ring for a resize as I have the plan to have all this done and I couldn’t go pick it up the day it was going to be ready so I put it under my fathers name to pick up as I could and it indicates on the ticket I got back to pick up my ring. So my dad goes he was never greeted well then he gives his ID and they can’t find him apparently and then out of nowhere they find his name on the system. The whole time they were rude until we mentioned we were going to give them a bad review as I am because no one should be treated bad. Horrible service and treatment. WORKERS THERE HAVE HORRIBLE ATTITUDE.

I had the pleasure of being helped by Marina, who was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and never once did I feel pressured or misguided into buying something I didnt want. I never bought any jewelry from anywhere else but the prices seem pretty competitive for the quality of jewelry they sell. I purchased both an engagement ring and wedding band(s) from here along with the warranty that honestly pays for itself, and will always keep your jewelry looking new. All in all great service!
I got what I needed, but Ive never been treated as rudely in a Jared. I purchased one ring (which was fantastic), but when I wanted to have another ring resized, they said no and gave no explanation. We left confused, and were luckily able to find another jeweler to explain to us why the ring could not be resized. I will be going to a different Jared in the future: I have had kinder service from other Jareds in the past.
It was the worst and horrible experience to visit this place. My husband ordered Pandora ring through Jared, as a Christmas gift and I had to exchange it into a bigger size. I went there and there were no other customers than me. Four staff members looked at me as I approached the counter. I felt like a thief from the very beginning but I thought it was just my impression. JACKIE - this was the name of the least professional sales assistant that I ever met, she made everything to make it impossible for me to return this ring. Was it because I didnt buy expensive jewelry? JACKIE informed me that I needed an order number to return - no problem, I had it on my email. Than I needed a credit card of the person who placed the order - three other employees, who were looking at me all the time, repeated the same information like an echo - no problem, I called my sister to verify if she was the one who placed the order. During the time I was talking with my sister, Jackie went to a different corner of the store and left and the counter, not even looking at me. I ended the phone conversation in 2 minutes and she did not bother to get back to me!!! I had to call her twice! What an attitude... My sister was waiting outside the store. I took the ring and asked my sister to return if for me. She had her credit card with her but they asked for drivers license - she gave the document. They asked for phone number that was listed on the order confirmation. Then JACKIE started to make weird noises to express her dissatisfaction. My sister was so embarrassed that she took the ring and told them that this is not the way to treat people. We did not go there to ask them to us jewelry that we cannot afford. We just wanted to exchange the ring, or simply return it. I’m disgusted with the quality of their service and unprofessional approach to a customer.
Would not recommend to anyone to buy something from that store!If you would like to refund something you paid with cash, they can’t give your money back, you should wait for over a month to receive the check!If you would like to exchange be patient to wait 3 months to receive the replacement!
Pretty good location I come to buy Tissot watch as they are my favorite brand from Switzerland. I forget the name but one older lady was very helpful on showing me a couple of watches. I eventually bought a Tissot watch and the whole time I felt very welcome. My one and only complaint is just the parking outside but I will not let that affect the experience I had here, thank you Jared for helping me in a professional manner.

After a completely and utterly terrible experience with Jareds online ordering, the people at the Schaumburg location were just fantastic. Lora went out of her way to find the engagement ring setting I really wanted and worked hard to fix all the issues from the online order. Overall, they were very nice, friendly and really made things so much better. They also were very attentive to the current situation with COVID; everyone had a mask, and the manager took peoples temperatures while I was there. Definitely a good place to go if you are looking for jewelry.

Overall rude employees. I purchased a ring online and came into this Jared location to get information about sizing etc. long story short, I left that day and couldn’t not believe how incredibly rude the sales woman was to my mother. I went back the next day to return the ring. This is the third experience I’ve had like this with Jared. Rude sales employees. At this location itself. Will not be purchasing in the further at the location.

If you are looking for rings do not go here. I bought an engagement ring for my fiance and my brother in law bought an engagement ring for his fiance. They told me that the stone I got was better then another stone and would not cloud or scratch. The stone looks absolutely horrendous and the band is so scratched. My brother in laws ring is missing many stones and is scratched horribly as well. If you dont want to ruin a special moment do not spend your hard earned money at this terrible establishment.
Harold was an absolute pleasure to have as a jewelry specialist. He actually seemed to care and showed genuine concern about my situation. What I liked most was that he gave some time to look through the selection rather than hovering over like most other jewelry stores do. Great experience!
If I could give this location zero stars I would. I’m not one to write reviews or complain but this location is very unprofessional in my opinion. I took my engagement ring in because a diamond was loose they explained they would inspect, fix the loose diamond and polish the ring. I went back the next day to pick up my ring and the same diamond was loose. I brought my fiancé back with me to tell them it was still loose and they assured me it would be fixed I came back when they said it would be ready and checked it before I left and the SAME diamond was still loose. The woman helping me rolled her eyes and huffed when I told her it was still loose. She gave it to the jewelers and told me it would just be a few minutes. The jeweler came out with my ring and told me because my ring is “shiny” it’s not as durable as some and my diamonds are more exposed so they will get loose easily. Okay that’s fine it might need more maintenance but WHY is it still loose after being “repaired” THREE times? And why is the jeweler implying that my ring is cheap when it was bought at a Jared store? Meanwhile the manager who was standing there did absolutely nothing so now after having them “fix” my diamond three times it’s still loose. Seems like they made an excuse to not do their job in my opinion.
Jared in Schaumburg is a professional business that employs kind, helpful, and knowledgeable associates. Every time I visit for cleaning and inspection, I am warmly welcomed and well taken care of to the best of their ability. Kayla, the store manager, is probably the nicest manager I have ever encountered. She goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is 100% satisfied and truly cares about who she is serving. If I could give Jared more stars, I absolutely would! My husband and I have always had a positive and exceptional experience at Jared. They are even willing to clean and inspect jewelry that was not purchased from them. Keep up the great work, Jared!
Not this location but Jared as a online retailer. Placed order back on Nov 30th online and today it still has not shipped. Went online and tried many times to see what the hold up is and keep getting run around. Spend your money elsewhere this company and its parent company are not in this business to serve the public. We have the duty as the public to make it aware our money keeps them in business and am willing to spend it with a local person who treats the customers right!
Sales staff is amazing. They where very helpful and knew there diamonds. Prices very fair. We had the rings appraised after the purchase by an independent insurance company and they appraised much higher than the purchase price. I would recommend them to everyone. Great experience.
This was my orginal review Tina was fantastic! She helped us pick out our wedding bands. She was supper nice and helped guide us to finding the perfect rings. 10/10 service!Make sure you dont fall for there tricks.I take it back as I have had nothing but issues because of them. She had me purchase the ring then do an exchange for the correct size. By doing the exchange I got screwed into paying interest on my ring because I didnt have the $1000 required for 0 interest for 12 mon. anymore because the lady returned my ring instead of exchanging it. Its just sad that they dont work along with there bank to make sure that they are educated in what financing plans.. Also, they didnt log the cleaning for the warranty in the system.
I went in to Jareds to look at wedding rings and other jewelry pieces. When I walked in the door I the sales lady stood still and looked at me up and down in disgust and rolled her eyes.Okay sure I wasnt dressed to the hilt, but my money is green enough to for Jared.It stung to be treated that way and as quick as I walked in I walked right back out.I dont want the joy of looking at wedding bands to be diminished by snobs.
We worked with Jacquie picking my engagement ring. She went above and beyond helping me to find something I love!! The kids room was a bonus for my 3 year old. And they even sent us a card to congratulate us on our wedding. Wonderful place with a wonderful staff. I will definitely be back!!!

We bought my engagement ring here in February 2018. We had to order in the ring, so I didnt get to see it until the proposal. I almost immediately noticed a blemish in one of my smaller diamonds but tried to ignore it to avoid upsetting my new fiance. In April 2019, I could still see the blemish almost all of the time, and I went in to have it fixed before my wedding. I expected to have to fight with staff or be asked to pay, but Tina determined the issue (blemish in the diamond), and replaced it right away, no charge! I was in and out in five minutes.
Nice clean store though I stopped by after work and was ignored for 20 minutes probably because I was still in work clothes. No problem Im part of the real world I personally do not judge a book by its cover, finally I was approached by the gentlemen that took care of everyone who had arrived after me. I declined as I was planning on purchasing pandora bracelets and charms for my mom, wife, and grandmother. I was helped by a nice guy that was a pleasure to deal with.A few weeks later I stopped in to see the new charms and was approached by maybe a manager? Not sure but was told that I should not shop their anymore as I was not welcome so I went across the parking lot to woodfield mall and have never been back very bad people wouldnt and do not recomend woodfield mall is better than Jared.
I work here so this is an 7nfair review. But everyone here really does strive to bring the best experience you can get from a Jared location. The shop is very skilled and the sales team are focused on making you happy!!!

The service is very slow and they took people who just walked in over me even though i have been waiting for an hour. All i have to get is one necklace that i already have picked out and everyone is still deciding and looking. never coming back again.

They try to stick you with what they want you to buy not what you want to.The sales person there just walked away from me after showing me few pieces. Two of the older guys were giving me dirty looks made me feel like I was at a wrong place.I did buy that day but not from this store though. Please do your D.D before going to this location. I’m not stepping there ever again, my “$” is as good as anyone else.

Starting from selling a wedding band that cant be resized but they told me they can and we had to purchase another one.2 repairs a horrible, I left the ring under warranty to replace 2 diamonds, ended up damaging it and having to replace it.3. Resizing took them 3 days instead of 20 minutes and they keep apologizing but Im so fed up with them, i hope they get better technicians because these ones keep walking out for smoke break every time i walk in. Imagine how many times Ive been here already!!!Stay away from this place, take your money elsewhere.

Careful with staff at this store. They engage in deceptive practices when it comes to their store credit card accounts. Very angry and frustrated about my experience with them and the unwillingness of store management to help resolve the situation.

We bought my husbands wedding band here 5 - 6 weeks prior to our wedding. It was supposed to come in 3 weeks. When we had not received a call it was ready we called them. The rind was back ordered and expected to arrive after our wedding date. My husband then went into the store and chose a similar ring in a size that was too big and purchased it. We were supposed to swamp it for our orignial order when it finally came in. Low and behold they cancelled our order. Not the best experience.
They have good jewelry but they definitely try to take advantage of uninformed consumers. You can save thousands by buying loose diamonds online but they don’t like when you do that and make you feel like you’re doing something wrong. The older lady salesman woman was just staring at me with a very judgmental look when I told her I had my own diamonds.The manager said he could “come close” to the price for similar diamonds. Why would I have somebody “come close”? I got superior diamonds online than they could sell me for the same price. They try to sell you on the “diamond setting guarantee” but they don’t tell you that many homeowners insurance will cover diamonds that are lost or break off.Needless to say I went somewhere else (C.D. Peacock) and they were absolutely fantastic. They made me a custom engagement ring with no resentment for me getting better, diamonds online for less $ and not pressuring me to return my diamonds.
Happy overall with the experience, will certainly return when looking for a piece of jewelry.Staff very knowledgeable and courteous.

My husband picked the most beautiful engagement ring and matching band here and while i love it beyond reason i dont love the service. Their computers seem to be running on windows 95, when you drop your ring off for cleaning and insepction expect to sit for no less than 15-20 minutes while they hand write the paper work. Also dont forget when your significant other purchased the ring because this is how they look you up (many people dont even know this! What a flawed system.) Secondly i have set up four, yes four, appraisals and each time they swear up and down that they will make reminder calls but they NEVER do. I find it extremely bad business when you make promises you have no intention on keeping. And as i sit here at my appraisal (the lady doing the appraisal is fabulous i have no hard feelings toward her) i am the only customer in the shop on a slow tuesday and i listened to the phone ring no less than 6 times before someone decided to answer in. So in conclusion i love what we bought here but with so much competition especially in this area they should try alot harder to please the public. If i had the knowledge i have now i personally would not bother doing business with them.
