Good customer service and attention to details is alive and well in this old school watch repair shop in Woodfield mall of all places. They walked me through how to keep better care of my watches and they do honor their lifetime battery replacement program. Good job gentlemen.

I found this place in a pinch in a hurry, & I am eternally grateful that I met the jeweler who I now trust with some of my most valuable possessions, I will never take my jewelry to anyone else ever again. The guy has done custom work for me, he has adjusted rings chains bracelets and I even bought my stepsons graduation watch from this store, and I have plans to make quite a few more purchases through this store based on the jeweler and how he is taking care of me. I signed up for their (great value) lifetime replacement battery watch program they have. I hadn’t brought my watches in for about 3 plus years. I have expensive watches and they give them tender loving care here. I got all 3 watches batteries replaced and August the jeweler did a fine job getting me back on time! Very professional and quick. The only place you need to go for watch replacement and jewelry fixes!

I had to repair a Maurice lacroix watch before a wedding and these guys did it on time and an excellent job.

Holland, the master jeweler, was very professional in his work. Despite the fact that it was a small job needed to be done on my watch, he treated it as if it was a million bucks. For years a gold bracket I had needed to be fixed and no one would fix it because it wasn’t bought at their store. I remembered fast fix and when I first went they were closed and remolding. I waited this past yr for them to open and bought it in. It was ready the following day the repair guy fixed my bracelet and shined and polished it. I cannot express in words how grateful I am to Holland. I gave him my baby’s 14k gold cross urn to put a larger Bail and fix jumper. This is the most important piece of jewelry I have ever had as my baby’s ashes will be placed inside. I was so nervous to see it completed. I received a text when it was ready and I rushed over to pick it up. The second I seen it I instantly started to cry... It is so beautiful. The style of the Bail was chosen by Holland as I told him he can pick what would be best for the size of the urn. It is stunning and looks like it should have always been that way. The bail matches the urn and makes it more beautiful. Incredibly beautiful. Holland also fixed an antique 18k gold and diamond ring and it is perfect and more beautiful than I could have wished for. We went in with 3 watches that needed new batteries. 2 had been previously replaced with their Lifetime Battery program, so those were replaced at no charge. Service for all 3 was very prompt and courteous.

I live an hour away from here but heard good things about it from someone. I have a platinum engagement ring and wanted to get it resized but since my finger changes size with temperature they recommended sizing beads. I was super excited about them especially so my ring wouldn’t spin. I left my ring there and it wasn’t done for a little over 2 weeks, I was told they were ordering platinum beads to use (I specifically didn’t want white gold since it would rub away quickly with my job). I got my ring and within a week I realized my beads were too sharp and I went back and Holland the jeweler was more than kind and made them perfect for me. He is a true artist and cares so much about his work. He is why I gave the 3 stars.Within about a month I noticed my beads were completely tarnished. I went back again and asked Holland if he could just remove them. He did and said they were white gold beads and he was sorry and literally took the ring back immediately and removed them while I was standing there. He was super helpful and the ring looked great again, just too big but oh well. I paid $100 cash for my original service and said I don’t want my money back since he was so helpful.I went back again last week because in the spot the beads were removed there is a black mark all of a sudden and I wanted to get it fixed. Also, my ring is still too big… unfortunately Holland wasn’t there, only the owner was. The owner was deeply disappointing honestly and now I won’t go back. He wasn’t friendly, made me feel dumb that I thought I was getting platinum beads the first time around even tho he’s the one who told me he was ordering them over the phone and that’s why my ring took 2 weeks instead of 4 days like I was told. He also said that mark on my band is just there now unless we coat it, he also couldn’t resize it since he doesn’t have quarter sizers and I don’t need a whole or half. I told him I am bringing my new wedding band that’s coming in and it’s sterling silver and I want that resized by them since they’ve been helpful and kind. He harshly asked if I don’t want tarnishing why would I buy sterling silver. The answer to that is I don’t have any money and this is temporary for a few years. I ended up walking away not getting any service, very disappointed, confused, feeling demeaned and with a whole change of mind about this place. I’ve spent a lot of time getting to and being patient with them. I work in the service industry so I was never hard on them.I was nice to the owner and thanked him for being honest about not resizing my ring without being able to try on a sizer first since he doesn’t have any and carried on with my day. It’s been almost a week since this happened and I wasn’t going to write a review but this experience did not feel good at all and I definitely can’t go back.All in all I am $100 down, 4- 2 hour round trips wasted, and have the same $5,000 ring I started with except now it has a permanent black mark on the inside. This is the nicest thing I have ever had and probably ever will so it’s sad it will look this way the rest of my life unless I coat it. Can’t do anything now but learn my lesson and move on to another store to try and figure all this out.I’ve noticed anyone who gives a poor review is replied to with defensiveness explaining what they did right instead of simple ownership and understanding, I would assume that is the owner and his customer service skills.

Fixed something here got ruined the next day. He refused to fix our jewelry. It’s as simple as that don’t come back here “ he couldn’t fix our necklace becuz it is easy stuff to fix” the guy is super rude and I don’t understand why he was being so like that. When I should be the one who’s rude and asked for simple thing to get done.

Terrible service... STAY AWAY From this business! Completely unprofessional jeweler, was yelled at after receiving my jewelry back.They sized my ring wrong even have a written acknowledgment from the store manager that checked the sizing issue. This has been reported to the mall security.

Bought some opal stone and wanna make some simple jewelry with them but with low budget. Asking around 25+miles of jeweler stores. They either dont do sterling silver mount and charge crazy money or they gives me an horrid attitude because they cant dig big money from me. Found her, walked in. Owner and workers are very nice and helpful. Made me a pretty ring in short weeks and keep me in my budget. Will definitely come back and get more of my stone mounted!

My beautiful engagement ring is very old and passed down by my future husbands family. It had a dent in the prong so we brought it in to adjust it since we used these guys to re size and they did a wonderful job. They were super professional and nice and got the job done fast. When they gave the ring back it looked brand new! They cleaned it and i cannot stop looking at it. We will continue to go there for our rings :)

This is the the second time I have brought a watch or clock that was under a warranty that I was unaware of or did not require repair, just a tweak. Neither time was I charged. No way I would have known . Honesty. Go to this store. I have been coming here for more than 17 years, that’s the year I purchased the warranty on my watch battery.🤗

Brought in a necklace with broken clasp. I was told it would be done in an hour and a half. It was done as promised and the staff was wonderful. They even polished it and now it looks brand new. It is 35 yrs old. Thanks for a great experience. I will come back again with broken jewelry to be fixed.

I purchased a ring at Zales but I wouldnt be in the area to wait 3 weeks for it to be sized. The ring was a diamond with composite diamonds on top of onyx. The manager warned me there was a possibility the onyx would crack during the resizing process. I exchanged the ring at Zales for second choice. I brought the ring back to fast fix. In addition to the new ring I needed sized, I had another ring that was severely tarnished. I asked about cleaning. I thought the band was silver but the man working the counter explained that it was white gold and the ring required what I remember as rhodium treatment. I opted for the treatment for 39$. The resizing was 89 which was only slightly more than I wanted to pay but was by no means excessively inflated. About an hour and a half after I dropped the rings off I received a phone call from the store that my rings were ready. The band on the restored ring looked as good as the band on the new ring, and the new ring fit perfectly with no damage to the ring from the resizing process. Great customer service, and an excellent service provided.

Recently I visited the store with a variety of jewelry that needed repair. My grandmothers ring, my diamond wedding ring, special bracelets and two necklaces that were severely tangled together. Very bad cistomer serviceThey have ruined my expensive watch

They sold me a life time warranty on my watch battery. When the battery went dead after 2 years, they gave a replacement battery at no charge. The replacement only lasted a few months--- they told me the watch is getting old, and you are lucky to get a year out of a battery from an older watch.I took the watch to another watch shop-- they looked at my battery, and told me the the replacement battery is a cheap battery.They sold me their battery-- and guaranteed I would get at least 2 years out of its charge.Lesson learned.... Do not fall for the lifetime warrantee

If there was a lower rating than Poor-Fair Id have selected it. This is by far the WORST experience Ive ever had with a company. My watch had a dead battery and a rattling noise when shook. I was told that my watch would need to be sent out for an ESTIMATE, to which I agreed to. Two weeks later I received a call that my watch had been repaired and the total due was $135. I NEVER GAVE THE GO-AHEAD for the repair and explained this to the employee. I went in to see my watch and discuss the misunderstanding with management. To my surprise it WASNT EVEN FIXED. The battery was still dead and the rattling noise was still present. I wanted my watch returned and they refused to let me have it. I spoke with all levels of management with no success. They ended up resending out the watch for repairs, which I never consented to. I again repeated the situation over the phone with the owners daughter HILARY RYAN, who HUNG UP in the middle of our conversation and then repeatedly ignored my return calls. My final experience was with the OWNER of the company, GEOFFREY F. STOREY, when one of the managers put him on the phone with me. He was the most IGNORANT BUSINESS OWNER I have ever spoken with. Aside from not letting me speak, being degrading and demanding a payment of $100, as if he was doing me a favor by taking off $35 for a service I never agreed to in the first place, he also ended up hanging up the phone on me in the middle of the conversation. All the while, the phone was on speaker and all of his employees could hear the conversation. It was evident that they were embarrassed by his conduct and felt bad because there was nothing they could do. Almost 2 years later of dealing with them I still dont have my watch back.If you value your jewelry DO NOT TRUST Fast-Fix Jewelry & Watch Repairs!

I brought in a 1977 vintage Seiko watch for a new batteryI have had this watch on daily for the last 35 years.The battery had died just the day before. Personnel was very friendly and inspected the watch noted the serial number and wrote me a receipt for the battery replacement. I was hanging around the mall when I got a call that the battery had been replaced but the buttons to set the time were missing!I am convinced that the watch was fine condition when I turned it in. I told them they looked over the watch and did not remark about any missing buttons. Their only answer was sorry must have been missing when you brought it in!

The worst place ever to fix your phone. Rood and unfriendly employee. Get repaired my screen, was not satisfied at all, cheap and light screen. They even did not apologize.

Took a 14K gold necklace with a plate here to be engraved that I just bought elsewhere in the Mall 15 minutes prior. They accepted it as being in perfect condition, which it was, and was supposed to be ready in an hour. 45 minutes later they called telling us there was an imperfection in the metal after all. Made it seem like something only noticeable under a magnifying glass, so we thought nothing of it. When i picked it up this imperfection turned out to be a hole noticeable across the room. According to them somehow me, the person I was with, and Fast Fix employee who accepted it didnt notice this hole before hand, but I am supposed to take their word that it was there already. Then the owner, Hilary Ryan, called security after I used the term BS. I havent been this blatantly lied to and disrespected for as long as I can remember.That was my experience with Fast Fix. Take away what you will.

I have been a customer of the Fast-Fix location in Vernon Hills for over 7 years and have had many, many batteries installed in my watches (as I have several costume jewelry watches). I now work nearer the Schaumburg location and had 6 watches under a 3 year warranty that died and I needed to have the batteries replaced. I had my receipt, showing how much Id paid for the watch batteries (so it was clear that Id paid for the 3 year warranty service) and the Vernon Hills employee had even written on the receipt which watches they were for. However, the Schaumburg location employee stated that because no where on the receipt, keep in mind this is a computer generated receipt detailing everything, did it say 3 year warranty she would not honor the receipt and would not replace the batteries. This will necessitate a separate trip (way out of my way) to Vernon Hills. I had 10 (yes 10) additional watches needing batteries but as Fast-Fix Schaumburg doesnt honor warranties, Ill be taking my business elsehwere.
