I wish I could give no stars. The service was abysmal and the car we got was whorafying it had writing on the windows was completely dirty, there was a dent in the driverside door and the back seats seemed like someone had been sick in them they had some kind of dryed on liquid that looked oddly like flem. When I got the car reservation I was told that all the cars are cleaned to a higher standard due to Covid so this is completely unacceptable! I will never get from this location again, maybe not from avis again eather their customer service hotline is useless and will not help you at all until the car is returned! BE WARNED!Additionally I somehow got to a manager who said I could return the car and get a refund and if we got disconnected I could give their name and employee number to who ever answered the phone and they could transfer me, how ever all the location in the area were closed he said he would find another solution and asked to put me on hold for 2 minutes, I waited for 20 and when I called back turned out know one could transfer me and when I asked to speak to management they insisted they did not have managers when I asked to be transfered to employee by name number and position title they said they cant do that.

The vehicle that I rented smelled like smoke, had a cigarette burn hole in the passengers seat and a funeral program left behind in the visor. It was obvious this car was not cleaned. Very surprised considering we all in a pandemic. I told the counter person and he didnt seem to care. I would have expected something more from him.

One of the most affordable car rental place out there. I have been a customer for really long time, and they always take care of you very well. I want to remind that I at least rent from this place once every month for business. Mike is the one who helps me most of the time.

I just checked out a car at this facility and am less then impressed. The only reason that they get two stars is actually for customer service. The front desk lady helping me was super sweet and she did her best.My rental is for one month. I plan to use the car over this one month a decent amount. The first vehicle was dusty inside, the engine spurted once I turned the engine and the first thing I saw on the digital dash was that Maintenance Required. So I went back in, the lady helped me get a new car. Now, Car #2 was a 2020 Toyota Camry with a little over 5,000 Miles, it was a bit cleaner inside but it had the WORST BODY ODOR stench that I have ever smelled - words cant describe how gross and far from acceptable. It was so bad I cannot believe that someone would approve that vehicle to be rented out again. Unbearable. SO I went back in for car #3. I received a Ford Fusion, it seems to be in pretty good condition as it drives nice but the cup holders had crumbs, and it wasnt as one would say, COVID-19 - pandemic clean. Inside it smells a bit damp and like possibly there was a smoker before inside of this vehicle. stains are visible on the passenger side seatThe front lady did not escort me to the car to check it out and make sure it was looking OK before I left. But she was also completely alone. I am sure COVID is the reason that she was alone and thats OK. IT just seems like she was trying to provide good service but their cars here are so far from OK(from my experience today)that it made it hard for her to do just that.I wasted 45 extra minutes in the middle of my work day to switch cars over and over and over again.If I can do things over again I would go to Enterprise for the additional $60 it would have cost me to do a monthly rental.

Worst service ever. With unruly employee at the hoffman estates branch. Ive never been yelled at from a representative of a company for their faults. Did not do his job right and called me a liar. Ill never use this company for their service ever again. Not only did they not have my car ready (which I prepaid month in a half. My car was suppose to be ready at 9 but didnt get it till 1230. They made me late to my destination which which made me late to a court order destination. In turn made me i have a violation. I was transferred to two other branches due to the employee yelling at me. I didnt even get the car I prepaid for. Never againDont use this company

!!!!!NEVER BOOK FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!!Confirmation No. 37788728US5This is the first time I rented from Schaumburg Illinois Avis and it was a horrible experience.First, staffs available at that location were not wearing any face mask. They were not aware of the system and kept on checking for the reservation process. We asked them to include and an additional driver and they told that other person can drive too without being added in system. When we insisted then he added but again he just charged the amount for additional driver without updating information. After we asked him to update details then they updated the same.When we were confirming the car they mentioned they can rent out Tahoe and started the process and at that moment he got a call from a customer and after he hung up he told us they have only Dodge Journey which we rented since we were already late with all the above process.When we inspected car, it was showing oil change message on the displayed and he just ignored the same. We were already waited for an hour at that location and got delayed so don’t wanted to delay further and took the same. Later during Journey when we tried to connect phone through Bluetooth it was always giving error on the screen. When we went back to return car and told the issue they told looks like your phone is not compatible which was very funny since we have to lates iPhone.

This location is absolutely horrible. I have used this location 4 times for 8 weeks of rentals for the last 2 months and had problems at every interaction. Dealing with this location is absolutely ridiculous. The only reason I have gone back, is because my company has a contract with Avis. I will ensure they hear about all the troubles and evaluate the rental car vendor...

Car was dirty inside and outside. The change oil light came on when we were driving down to Tennessee and the passenger side air conditioning didnt work and was hot on passenger side. Horrible car to rent wont use Avis again.

This is the best Avis location I have used. They have a small staff and fewer choices than airport facilities but the service is more personal. I often work directly with the owner of this franchise. I like that I can leave my personal car in a safe spot when taking theirs for business, and that I can drop off at any hour since they are not open 24/7. I have never had a problem with availability.

Had nothing but the best service in renting a car. My wife and I decided to rent from Avis because of the better selections of autos available. Even though the auto the we wanted wasnt on the lot just then when I arrived to pick it up, the owner at this location gave us an upgrade at no extra charge. All in all, everything went well and I would for sure let others know that this is where you go when looking to rent an auto for yourself!

I will never use Avis for my car rentals. They charged double for an economy car when Enterprise was charging half of that. I spoke with a supervisor to extend my rental and they have an extension fee on top of it. I asked them how much it would be to return and rent out the car the price varied dramatically between different Avis branches. I asked the supervisor so I couldve called another Avis and gotten a cheaper price she said yes. I do not trust a company whose prices vary from branch to branch and from their nearby competitors. They also told me that they do not match prices after the fact and couldnt do anything for me. Lesson learned never use Avis for rentals. Enterprise supplied us with a cheaper car and also same day pickup. I didnt have to schedule pickup a day before. Ill be sure to tell everyone I know that there are better places out there than Avis.

Renting here has been an ok ok experience.Car rental was OK.. but1) within 100 miles of driving got the Oil change warning and by the time we completed our trip half way Oil was less than 8%2) by the next day morning the car ran out of Windshield cleaning liquidThey need to step up their maintenance game for the cars that they rent

I wish I can give negative stars especially for your Boston Logan Airport staff and Facility.You delayed my pickup by 1.5hrs whilst I stood in line patiently. My flight took lesser time than your wait time.Then you charged my card $23 additional because I dropped it off 40mins later and added an extra day of insurance and a bunch of BS charges. Beware scam rental company!

I wish I could give 0 stars because thats what this place deserves. From the time that I walked in the manager was super rude and I then had to wait 25 minutes for a car to be found. When I got into the car it smelled bad and it wasnt in great condition. I then asked what the manager or owner as he called himself what he could do for me and he said we have nothing else available. My only other options would be to upgrade and spend more. So I said if I upgrade what are my choices were but there was only one other car available which was totally unacceptable for me. I then proceeded to call the customer service number when in fact is speaking to reservations for over an hour. They then told me that customer service was closed and I would have to call back at 730 in the morning, which was the day I had to leave for my trip. In the meantime I made reservations with Enterprise. When I spoke to the Avis people in the morning no one could help me. Needless to say I will never rent from Avis ever again Enterprise is the only way to go.

This Avis, and Avis in general, is terrible. I reserved a specific vehicle and told it was in stock. When I arrived 30 minutes later, it was not, and I had to get a much larger vehicle. Fine. The vehicle was nice, and the condition was good, so I didnt complain. As always, I brought my IPass with me when using a rental vehicle. I took my trip and returned without incident. Then, approximately 3 weeks later, I started seeing multiple charges on my credit card for tolls. I went on to my IPass account to see if maybe one didnt register, but they had all been charged to me. Over the next week, I was charged again by Avis for tolls. So I contacted this office, and was given a number for their toll department. I waited on hold for 30 minutes listening to the same song over and over again. No one ever answered, no automated voice telling me how long it was going to be, nothing. So basically, I can not contest these charges with AVIS since they refuse to answer, and I cant contest these charges with my credit card, since I havent been able to confirm why I was charged in the first place, and therefore can not submit an affidavit that I dont owe these charges. Cute scam. Either way, after this hassle, I wont use AVIS or Budget, or any of their subsidiaries. Hope they enjoy my $7.00.

One of worst experience ever. I called them up beforehand and confirmed for a change of car. When I walked in, owner outright refused to change the car, just because someone didnt not write the name on paper when I called. He was extremely rude and didnt bother to be apologetic. Never from this place again.

This place (Schaumburg IL) charged me fees outside what was told to me. The owner lied in my face and the vehicle I wanted was given. They gave me a vehicle with expired plates. This place is a rip off.

Very dishonest place!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!I showed up and handed over my license and card like normal. She swiped the card and told me they performed a credit check. I asked how did you perform a credit check using my name? She said she doesnt know how only that they take your name and bank information (from the card) and send the personal info to another company who then run your credit.So basically they will take your personal information including bank information from the card, and send it to another company they dont tell you the name of, then run an unauthorized credit check.Extremely unethical business practices.
