Amazing experience with Jeff and Alain! Got a brand new 22’ Subaru Legacy sport, no haggle and straight forward. Alain did not try to sell me the car but offered me an excellent experience with the car, very professional and personable man! Jeff was straight forward with the numbers he told me to see if I like the car before making a decision on buying it, which in my opinion is how dealerships should be, they both were very patient with myself and wife talking things over along with a fussy 3 month old lol! Late review but 5 stars none the less. This was January of 2020 and I saw a used 3.6 Outback (unicorn) that fit my criteria. Im located 5 hours from Schaumburg but I called and spoke with Chris and he made sure it would be sitting out front waiting for me when I arrived the next day. When I arrived it was out front waiting for me and looked as described by Chris. He navigated me through the buying process seamlessly and Max was there to seal the financials. Great team and positive buying experience. Definitely worth the drive from Kentucky. I was in and out with a new car in less that 2 hours. Couldnt ask for more.

Customer service tip.If a customer offers to put a deposit on a vehicle, sets an appointment, is ready to buy, and you assure them the appointment is set and the car will be ready up front, when they arrive. Then they show up and you have someone looking at the vehicle during their scheduled time. Maybe instead of taking their license and walking away for 20+ minutes after they drove an hour. Maybe it would be a good idea to see if you have any other vehicles you have that would fit their needs.Just a thought. Keep up the great work. You wont earn a dollar from me.
Long post alert:We have been looking for a car for our 17 year old for months. We ended up coming across a 2013 Honda Accord with great miles on their website! We reached out that night and by the next morning Jeff had made contact. Let me tell you, Jeff was AMAZING! We live 4 1/2 hours away and did not want to make the drive to see or purchase the car if wasn’t worth it. Jeff took a personal video on his phone detailing the ins and outs (flaws and all) of the car and sent it to me. Because we live so far away, he worked with us to put down a deposit so they could hold the car for us. Before we drove up, I noticed there was a recall on the car. I informed Jeff, he scheduled it to be taken care of at the local Honda dealership and supplied us with the paperwork detailing the inspection; this is all BEFORE we purchased. When we arrived, we brought a local mechanic to inspect the car, and Jeff accommodated us all while being attentive and helping other customers. Any issues I had, he was patient, told me to take my time and never rushed the process! We secured our own financing and I knew days before making the trip how much the car would be, taxes, fees and all! And that was the EXACT price we paid when I arrived! This was a very stressful process trying to find the perfect car for our outstanding kid, but Jeff made this process painless. Extremely professional, patient, and courteous. Not to mention he served in the Marines!! I’m BIG on customer service and we were extremely pleased!

After 7+ years of holding off any big life purchases to focus on paying down my school loans, I finally decided it was time to invest in a new car. I came in really nervous and didnt know what to expect since Ive been at other dealerships for other brands and had a variety of experiences. ANTHONY was so nice and comforting. He was very straight forward and looked out for my best interest. He asked questions other dealerships didnt ask like: What are the things you REALLY need in a car? or How do you want this car to fit with your life?. I went to Jeep down the road and the guy literally was just trying to up-sell me with a bunch of add-ons I wasnt really into.Long story short, Ive been driving my Subaru outback for a couple days and Im so happy with it. Ive been putting off buying a car for soo long and its really nice to be able to finally have my dream car in real life. It really boils down to the help of Anthony and his willingness to meet me where I was at and work with my credit history and my downpayment. Russ at Napleton’s Suburu was great to work with. Communication was slower than other dealerships, however, we felt he treated us honestly and fairly. Napleton’s recently allow for online negotiations and that cut down on the amount of time spent at the dealership which we appreciated. Russ took the time to show us a lot of the bells and whistles, which was fun.

Went in to have a visor replaced under my warranty, waited 2.5 hrs for a visor to be replaced. Also, even though I was assured several times that under my warranty it would not cost anything, the service rep called me A WEEK LATER to tell me I owed $100 (for a $35 visor). Left two messages for service manager and never heard back.
Buyer be ware.. worst dealership ever! My daughter purchased a car and her first scheduled oil change was 6 months after purchase.. so we took the car in for a oil change to the dealership.. she was told her break pads were worn out and needed to be replaced right a way ! she rarely drove the car due to Covid-19 restrictions at work! she was sold a car that was not inspected properly and now told she has too pay for the the repair her breaks! i called plenty of times and yet too hear a respond from management.. going on 4 months now!

Ordered a car, put money down, waited months, car came in and when we called about pick up we were informed they sold it. Refused to explain how/why, refused to honor the Bill of Sale we had, refused to provide another car at same price, never offered an apology of any kind. Lots of shrugging and smirking.I won’t shop this Auto Group again. Plenty of dealerships who honor deals know the wisdom of taking care of customers. No reason to deal with dirty dealing, apathy and rudeness. Bought 10 cars within last decade, will like do so over the next 10. Napleton Auto Group will sell me an my family none of those.
I bought my car here over 3 years ago. Ive never taken here for maintenance or recalls. Because I found homophobic slurs written on the back of my license plate. To this day I still have not gotten an apology from anybody. I drive 30 minutes all the way to Grand Subaru in Bensenville which has amazing service there. If I could I would give it no stars. So my advice is check the back of your license plate maybe they did the same to you. I regret buying my car there. Definitely next time Im going to Grand Subaru

There are few car dealerships that deserve a 5 star review. But Napleton Subaru in Schaumburg has earned this 5 star review. I leased a Crosstrek from them 3 years ago and it was a wonderful experience. Now it was time to either turn it in, upgrade or buy out the current lease and own the car. I worked with Kyle and Nick to purchase the car from the lease. They listened to my concerns. They understood my financial wishes. They then adapted the terms of the transaction to make sure all was addressed. They did it quickly and without me ever feeling pressured. I had my son with me and Nick took the time to explain things to my adult son, since this was going to be the first car he owned. Not all Napleton dealerships are equal. We go out of our way to go to the Schaumburg location versus the Palatine location, (and we are very close to the Palatine location) because the service is just more friendly in Schaumburg. The service department has earned this 5 start review also, because, while we were finishing up the purchase the Service Manager came out and performed a routine service for us while we waited and he made sure that the service department finished the service quickly so we didnt have to wait. Nick, Kyle, and the Service Manager at Napletons Schaumburg Subaru earned this 5 star rating.
Walked the lot for 10-15 min, then walked into the building full of salespeople. Not a single person even looked up much less said Hello. As we walked the showroom we noticed that three of the salespeople were just playing games on their phones. Apparently they dont want business.
Today was a great day! We emailed the dealership before they were open this morning and received a response within minutes. We chatted with Charles briefly on the phone and set up an appointment. Charles was a great person to work with. We were able to test drive and work through the paperwork quickly. Charles and the finance team (Nick) answered all of our questions and got us out the door with our 2020 Forester. Although not the closest Suburu dealership, it was well worth the trip!
I went to a couple other Subaru dealers before I made it to Napleton. The other dealers had added accessories to their cars and were trying to sell them over MSRP. I understand these are hard times but I dont want to feel like Im getting robbed buying a car. I came to Napleton and met Jeff. I was in and out in less then an hour and a half and found a car I love! I will definitely be coming back here for my next vehicle.
I would give zero stars if I could. My husband and I were very interested in purchasing a Crosstrek and the inventory has been very limited lately. We inquired about a used Crosstrek listed for sale on the website and set an appointment to view it on a Tuesday afternoon. The exact model was unavailable to view at the appointment and we were told that the vehicle could not be sold to us until it reached 1000 miles (which, was not how the vehicle was advertised - nor was there any mention of this on the listing). However, due to the limited inventory and our desire to purchase this particular model, we placed a deposit on the car and were told we could pick it up by the weekend. A full week had passed without any word from anyone at the dealership. We called and emailed multiple times trying to get answers from our salesman and were eventually told the vehicle was still not available. We have asked for our deposit back and have since purchased a different vehicle elsewhere and had a much better experience. Horrible customer service and absolutely no regard for their customers. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new or used car.
Before buying a car my research had already been completed, as in I already new what car I wanted. While I do commend them for there service as in staying late etc. I do recommend to everyone and for every dealer to do research first so you do not get hosed with so called “dealer fees”
Bought our 1st Outback here, and returned for regular service. Done promptly and professionally with a reasonable amount of time. Meanwhile, good free packet-brewed coffee and snacks, plus peeking at newer models.

Jeff Calhoun was one of the better car sales reps I’ve dealt with over the years. Started my adventure at Another Subaru dealership in the city it was nothing short of a nightmare. The next day came out to see these guys much more professional knowledgeable and friendly. Working with Jeff and Matt in finance was a breeze.

The BIGGEST scam of a business I have ever been a customer of. I took a loss of around $1500 from what was supposed to be a simple fix to a cam carrier leak that was covered under warranty. Everyone claims to be the highest up but the general manager was never to be seen. No system of accountability here.So I go in for a check up and when I was told there was a leak on my cam carrier where they have to remove the whole engine to seal the leak, a work that typically costs a couple thousand dollars at the least. I told the service manager his name is John I had power train warranty that covers any repair work required for the engine. So when I told him this should have been my biggest red flag because his whole demeanor changed. And he had a helpful attitude at first but after I told him this he got upset i could tell his body language and he was not happy. He made me wait for 4 to 5 hours and barely ever checked up on me to give an update. Then he tells me I had to wait 3 days for get it verified by the warranty guy to make sure there was in fact damaged. So John tells me to wait. I have been to plenty of different subaru dealers to know they offer a replacement car while the car is getting worked on. John never offered and I was forced to rent a car for the 3 days out of my own pocket bc i needed a car.Then after about a month of work, I finally get the car fixed and am very relieved to finally get my car. I drive it for not even ONE DAY and while I am driving the car suddenly stops in the middle of the road. Luckily I am near a parking lot so I was able to coast out of traffic and into the lot. I try to get a jump but nothing worked. Apparently the starter blew. I get it towed the next day to napleton and they diagnose it as the starter. I was told by John the service manager that a rodent chewed up my wires and this was not the fault of the dealer and they could not able to fix it and I had to pay $350 to get it repaired. One of several occasions of coincidence? Mind you I had this car for a while and never did I ever have any problems with my starter. So I get corporate involved (subaru of america) and luckily they are able to pay for the repairs. BUt it was very stressful dealing with them and I had to wait for approval had to go through many hoops. And so they fix the starter. They do not cover the tow charges for about $150.This is not the end of it. Then as I continue driving the car I notice several small issues in my vehicle. Issues I have never had before I took the car in for the cam carrier leak. I start to notice my windows dont work randomly to the point where they stopped working completely and had to pay to get my windows fixed on my own dime. Another coincidence? I also start to notice the AC does not blow cold air anymore and I am left driving in this humid heat with no AC where I am sweating everytime I have to drive the car making my driving experience very inconvenient. Apparetnly it was no compressor and had to get it repaired. I have never had this issue before I took it in for the cam carrier leak. Another coincidence? After I notice this I take it back to napleton and John tells me they cannot fix it and it will cost me around $900 to get it compressor replaced. Even though they took the whole engine out of the car. At this point I ask for a higher up where John tells me he is the highest up. I don;t believe it. I then go to the sales department and ask for a higher up where the sales manager tells me he is the highest up. I come to find out the general manager is never there and so there is no system of accountability and everyone has so much freedom to screw you over.I am still working on trying to get these issues resolved on the subaru. This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced in my entire life. A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE.So many red flags in retrospect. Dont ever go to this place. They claim they treat you like family but it could not be farthest from the truth.
Just a quick review about my experience at Napleton’s Subaru, specifically Jeff. We communicated before I went to the dealership via email and text. I took a day to go test drive a few vehicles I was looking into purchasing. We made one stop before Subaru and it was not impressive. As soon as I got to Napleton’s, I felt very comfortable. Everyone was practicing social distancing and wearing masks at all times.I was interested in a specific color vehicle and we looked in the lot but could not find it. I thought we would need to come back but Jeff was able to locate it and the deal I got was very reasonable. I appreciated the no nonsense approach to car buying. There were no games, just simple facts.I will definitely be recommending them for all future purchases and vehicle maintenance.

Thank you for allowing me to share my experience. I wasnt planning on buying a vehicle when I stopped by. My son had recently purchased a Subaru Ascent in St. Louis and I was interested in seeing what it looked like. It looks like a great vehicle and my son enjoys it tremendously. My current Subaru Legacy had around 94,000 miles on it and was running fine. But I did ask to see what they had in stock in regards to Legacys. My wife and I will be travelling a lot since our two children live within 4-5 hours of us. So it would be nice to have a newer vehicle. After discussing my situation and finding a vehicle that would fit our needs, Jake and the rest of the staff were able to come up with a price that was very reasonable. Jake was a very kind and compassionate individual, as well as the rest of the team. I showed my the vehicle through FaceTime to my wife as she was in Dayton taking care of our grandchildren. I think she will enjoy it when she gets home. This is a color vehicle we have never had before in our 36 years of marriage. I always have her with me when I buy a vehicle, but because the situation seemed right to purchase a new Legacy, I did it with her approval over the phone. There was some hesitation over the phone about the color, but I hope she will like it when she sees it.

STAY AWAY!!! Company uses deceptive sales tactics to charge for extra warranties while avoiding to disclose full amount of the warranty cost! Sales person was Charles and finance person is Nick I believe.In addition they have slipped in a 2nd extended warranty contract with pile of paperwork that was ready for signing hoping I won’t notice and I didn’t until I got first bill from financing bank stating what I owe. Dealership effectively charged me extra $4,000 for warranties I didn’t want and are now refusing to cancel them for a pro-rated refund. I have been trying to get a hold of them but they keep avoiding me and transferring to different employees.TERRIBLE customer service! I ended up paying 38K for the car and they couldn’t even put in all four screws on my license plate, wheel rims have sticker residue (it was dark when I bought the car and they knew I couldn’t see it).Worst car buying experiences I ever had in my life!
NEW CAR BUYERS BEWARE !(And any customer looking to buy)1. Dealership is not transparent about price. Salesman said he will give us an offer less than the sticker price, but will not let me know what that was. When I asked, he kept on saying that the price he gives me will depend on what I want my monthly payments to be.2. Salesman was aggressive. Not only did he not tell me a price but he ran a credit check when I expressed I didn’t want one ran unless I knew what price I was getting. I was being pressured to buy a car without even knowing the final price. When I was finally given a price (that I was strongly considering in taking) the salesman brings over the manager who states he cannot sell me the car at that price. And instead will be at least $500 more because if they sold it to me at the price I was offered, they’d lose money. How does that even make sense !?!?3. Manager is not professional. I cannot believe this guy was the manager or if he just pretended to be. Not only did he not honor the offer I was given, but he lost his temper and called us names that are not appropriate to write on Google, not appropriate for a workplace, and even less appropriate for a manager to call a customer this.We will be taking our business elsewhere. If you have never bought a vehicle before, please stay away !! They want to trick you to blindly sign the sale paperwork.

It all started with a dealer asking to buy my Legacy. I told him I leased it and to call Napleton Schaumburg Subaru and get the buyout. Meanwhile I called Nick at Napleton who leased me the car and explained what had happened and asked what my liability was. I also told him I may be interested in an Outback. He got back to me with my buyout and other options. He told me to bring my car in to be appraised but to ask for Jeff as Nick had been promoted and Jeff would take care of me as Nick had filled him in. Jim showed me a couple of buy/lease options on Outbacks. I decided to upgrade to the Limited model in red. In a short time found one that another dealer was getting in a 2 weeks and I said Id take it. 2 days later Jeff had to call me with the bad new that the other dealer defaulted on their deal and sold the car to someone else. With this being the end of the season they couldnt order one from Subaru so he found me a car in a another color on his lot and took GREAT care of me. I went there and within a couple hours had the car ready all the paperwork done and drove home very happy. This is my second experience here and at both Ive been taken care of very well.
Probably our best dealership experience yet! Jeff took care of us and ensured we got what we wanted and that our budget was met. Could not be happier with our new Crosstrek! Jeff is also pretty tall!
Beware of this dealership. Yeah, we negotiated a fair deal on a nice vehicle, but the service after the sale is pitiful. First I was told I wouldnt be able to get the 2nd key fob unless I brought the car to them (I live over 350 miles away). After contacting a sales manager I finally received the fob via mail, but then had to pay my local dealership to pair it. Now Im trying to get the title of the vehicle. After several unreturned voicemails I asked to speak to someone other than their title clerk, well turns out their title clerk no longer works there and the person covering the title department is on vacation. What a joke and a waste of my time. Highly disappointed.
My wife and I recently traveled to Shaumburg Subaru to look at a Subaru Forester blackout edition they recently had gotten in stock. We were greeted by Jeff Calhoun who was friendly, polite, and not pushy. We took the SUV for a drive and he was charismatic and answered all our questions about the vehicle. Because of the experience, we ended up purchasing the car. A couple days after purchasing, Jeff was kind enough to follow up and make sure we were still satisfied with everything and to see if he could help us with anything else. Personally, I’ve never had that happen before so it was greatly appreciated. It’s clear this dealership actually cares and isn’t out to screw you over where they forget about you after you leave. That simple follow up says a lot about the culture of this place.Thanks again, Jeff!
Just ought a Subaru from them and the process could not have been easier. Tim helped me through the entire process, answered all my questions, and made sure I got exactly what I was looking for in the car. Could not recommend them enough as the process was made as simple and easy.

After not being called back by three separate dealerships, two of which I visited and met with a salesperson, I made an inquiry to a car around 1am online. By 4am, I had received a non-automated reply. Someone was awake early!I set an appointment, met with Charles, and did my test drive. I told him I needed some time to think about it, but Id have an answer in 7 days and to give me a call if he didnt hear back from me. Mike the manager wrote an email to me checking in. I had a few questions. We answered those in e-mail correspondence. A few days later, I texted Charles and said I was good to go. He immediately scheduled me an appointment first thing in the morning to get me in and out. We went over the paperwork, had a quick conversation with finance, and I was out as simple as that with my new Subaru.Finally a sales team that understands sales. You respond to the customer in a timely manner, follow through on your commitments, and you respect their time. Five stars for Napletons Schaumburg Subaru. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Worst experience ever! Wish l can give 0 stars!! I walked in late Friday evening because that was the only time l can get there. No one greeted us. Actually the guy who seemed like a manager just looked at us from his office. We walked around the dealership waited a while but still nobody. Finally we asked if we can get help and he said he is closing at 8 (contrary to his website that said 9pm) and his 2 salesmen are busy with customers. He asked if l would like to make an appointment for tomorrow. I can certainly understand that he is short-staffed and we came without an appointment but l would expect the guy to come out and tell us that, instead of sitting around ignoring us. There is no way I would ever go back to this dealer. There are plenty of other dealers that want my business and if subaru dealers are that snobbish, then l will go with another brand.
Easily one of the best experiences Ive had buying a car. Rob Dippel was a phenomenal help during my search, and went at bat for me multiple times with the finance people to make sure that I was getting the best deal I could with my new Subaru. They treat you like family there, and Rob was absolutely exceptional. He not only made sure that I understood everything about my car, but he also set everything up for me and helped teach me how to drive manual.Everyone there treats me like family now, the service is great, and I would definitely recommend them over some of their competition in the city.On the note of the Subaru WRX, if youre in the market, just get it. Its the best car Ive ever driven, and is worth every penny!
Experience Ive had was extremely unprofessional as I was treated as I didnt belong the moment I walked through the door. Max the manager on site had a horrible attitude and was immediately trying to dimiss any issues that were explained about the purchased vehicle 3 days after initial purchase. When presented with several issue codes about the car they were dismissed and I was treated as a liar
This is my 5th visit for a remote start installment every time something goes wrong and yet again I’m driving here only to be received with another problem when the car is a 2018 model and has no previous issues.
We bought our Subaru there and they maintain it. Nice place and they are Subaru experts; why go anywhere else?
Jeff saved us a lot of time. We talked on the phone previous day and he gave a good price on a hard to find model. We showed up at 9:45 AM on a Saturday morning and test drove the Outback XT and completed purchase and financing in less than 2 hours. Very efficient, and nice folks. I highly recommend talking to Jeff if you are looking for a good price and dont have time to go from dealership to dealership.
What a great dealership! The sales folks have a wealth of knowledge and are willing to work with you on finding the right car for your needs. This is my 2nd Forester and I think I am now a Subaru fan for life. I would also like to point out that this car is just phenomenal for tall folks. At 63 I find myself with plenty of room and dont get leg cramps like I do in other cars where my knees are resting in my cheat. Finally, the amount of safety features on their vehicles is amazing. I am finding that its making me much more aware of my surroundings and helping me to become a more defensive driver.

I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!A family member of mine just recently purchased a 2014 Chevy Equinox and literally 2 days later the car was broken down. She took the car back and they provided her with the worst customer service anyone could imagine. The used car manager Max, was especially rude, disrespectful and did NOT try to do anything to help the situation, not to mention my cousin had to wait over 30 minutes to receive this horrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and save your time and money, DO NOT do any business with Napletons Schaumburg Subaru! They are getting over on people by selling broken down cars and not taking accountability to help out their customers who they have put in a bad situation. My cousin is now out of a car and money because she was sold a true lemon!! Please DO NOT do any business with Napletons Schaumburg Subaru!

Dont buy their maintenance plan. My battery has left me stranded twice. The common sense thing to do would be to replace it. Instead their service advisors appeared powerless behind a faceless corporation rather than spend their cost on a battery to keep a customer. They would rather see me stranded a third time. I wouldnt recommend them at all.
My sister purchased a Chevy Equinox from here, and literally two days after buying the car she finds out the car needs a new computer, both converters and a alternator. We went back to the Subaru dealership and they basically told us there’s nothing there welling to do. The used car manager Max was extremely rude and showed no remorse for the situation that occurred. I wouldn’t recommend this place to nobody EVER!!! They don’t take care of there customers, or show any respect once they’ve taken your money😔

I went to Napletons expecting to buy a 2 year old Forester found on the website but with the narrow difference in price and mileage difference it was an easy choice to buy the new 2021 Forester. We first met Jeff Calhoun (late August 2020) because a banker at Chase recommended that we see him with issues we were having converting our lease into a purchase for our 2017 Outback. We had gone to another Subaru dealership in Chicagoland looking for help but go nowhere. Jeff agreed to meet us on a busy Saturday afternoon because we told him how frustrated we were with our experience at Subaru Finance/Chase. I can not begin to explain how truly wonderful Jeff is... even though he was busy, he patiently explained how we could convert our lease into a purchase. He then made sure he guided us through the process with his finance person. Even though Jeff was very busy that day with appointments, he never made us feel like anything but valued customers. He was courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and I feel like I could really trust him. As an aside, hes also former military so I not only thanked him for helping us with this conversion I also thanked him for his service.
