Its hit or mis with the bus system. First off its better than walking. We desperately need our local bus system to start running the bus routes full time as it was before Coronavirus. For the most part of the bus drivers are great usually theres one nasty driver.

They done fell off, which I mean slacking shutting down the buses early around 6PM and 7! When people out there still need to catch bus and on the ticket says until 1159 or at least 11PM? Lets get it together Cat Authority Transit....

How come Savannah doesn’t have bus benches for people to have a seat while they’re waiting for the bus to go to work, or even worse! When they’re coming back on their way home, riding the bus, exhausted after a full shift as a waitress, laborer, etc.? And how come no corresponding authority has noticed this??I used to ride the bus twenty years ago on the West Coast, where there’s not as much rain as here! Please! Have a heart, the people deserve it!

Good transportation for seniors taking them back and forth to theYMCA to the doctor to the grocery stores.....

The buses are just like lyft and uber you dont know if theyre coming and when? Some never come. And not considerate at all. Only use if youre last resort is a cat bus truthfully

Its what it says it is. Public transportation and Grey Hound station. Its clean and well managed by the staff.Cabs are normally waiting near by, if toy have the money. You can practically get to anywhere in Savannah and other islands, cities and states from here.

The bus that Google told me to ride just never came. The bus stop had a sign saying that bus would be there, but nope.

These buses are a waste of tax payers money the 30 to an hour wait or have to walk long distance to a destinations show a lack of concern for the people who ride I honestly believe it could be better but don’t see it happening, there’s not one reason why you don’t have seats at all the stops if your going to make a customer wait 45 minutes or hour, then during these times the buses are way to small for the amount of passengers they’re trying to carry, being that the 14 goes thru the of the city why is it the only bus running before 6am or later then 8pm causing many to have to walk homie long distance sometimes thru areas that are not that safe to walk at night, now I bearly ride the bus but been here long enough to notice their bottom line is the dollar not the customers!!

They pick you up 2hours ahead of your required time and not on time for return and they always have excuses whenever you call with a question

Fast cheap small hassle transportation

I was impressed by this public transportation bus station. Routes are explained clearly, buses seemed to keep to schedule, precautions were enforced, and it was an affordable trip. If you’re looking for a frugal way to get around Savannah, this is the place to come!

I love CAT and ride it all the time. I like that we can put our bike on the bus. The drivers are great. Buses are run on time and are reliable, as much as possible for a city system (like 90%+ my experience with 17) Some people have a stigma about the bus which is weird. You will feel just fine riding it no matter who you are. Its fine. The Airport route is very nice. I hope someday it connects to Amtrak station somehow which would be neat. I am looking forwarding to them creating a live tracking app to show where all the buses are in real time on a map.

Bus 1112 had a lady that was driving recklessly today 10/28/2020. How do you operate a big piece of equipment and not take heed to your passengers and those around you.

I ride buses very frequently. The Cat Terminal is very convenient to go around in Savannah. I purchase my bus card here and get information on places I need to visit. The drivers are friendly and courteous and have no problem answering questions.

Its the local bus station, it could use a power washing outside, ppl smoking in non- smoking areas, when I told the person working in the desk inside, she just shook her shoulders & walked away, so much empathy for ppl that cant or shouldnt be exposed to smoke...

Buses rarely stick to schedule and there are way to many rude and hostile drivers. I totally appreciate the considerate ones. I have no choice but to ride the bus since I am 66 and dont drive, so I feel trapped and use Uber as much as I can afford to.

CAT MOBILITY IS A JOKE! Leave my disabled father always STRANDED AT THE DOCTOR! I cant believe our tax money goes to this horribly ran transport company! Always late, drivers have the education of a 5 year old, and rude people.

CAT employees here are very helpful. I love the soda and snack vendors. The bathrooms are always clean. And the schedule of all the buses is legible and extremely helpful.

Why are these bus drivers so rude I’ll say 95% of them are grumpy and flat out nasty, young or old female or men it doesn’t matter! Granted there’s only a handful of very nice bus drivers but most are over shadowed by the bad ones

I’ve been using the Cat bus for several years now. I’ve pretty much have every route down that runs from downtown to Southside, back Downtown to Garden City. These last few weeks, I’ve been left behind because the driver has “missed” my stop and had to wait another hour or just walk a little further to the bus station so as to not be “missed”. I usually wait at MLK and Liberty, but if traffic is heavy or the driver is late, it’s the first stop to be skipped. It’s happening at least once a week now and it’s getting frustrating. Love the drivers and most buses are on time (I know the schedules), but don’t make a stop a stop if you are only going to drive by it half the time.

I have been in Savannah 4 months now. Once I learned the bus system its great. Like in life if you have a positive outlook positive things will happen. I have seen from crazy ppl talking to themselves, to rude drivers, (I let them pass me), to a man cuss out a driver try to spit on her then broke the window out n ran. All to say even in these instances I wasnt in a hurry so no inconvenience to me. We all have bad days give a human a chance. Believe in God and it will come. Keep riding C.A.T. stay blessed. Where do I start? New buses are needed. Bus drivers should be reminded that the customers help pay their salaries. A couple of the female drivers are just plain rude. I’ve noticed that the SCAD students and Caucasian’s get the best treatment. I attempted to ask a female driver a question, her reply was “ did you just leave from inside the terminal.”Last week, one holler at me and tolded me to hurry up. I truly dislike riding these buses and only do so, if I can walk to my destination.

Got to the bus stop at 3:44, didnt get picked up until 5. Nobody could tell me where the bus was or why it was late. This is the service we pay for at its finest.

I love riding the bus, and CAT is a great bus system. I use it often. Shout out to the 100x drivers, they are great, and will get you there on time dependably. I realized thats the best way to fly out of the airport, no paying for parking.Like Shanika said a few times the route 17 was early and I missed it. I hate to have to call them and ask to radio the drivers to see where it is, but they dont have GPS on the buses. I wish theyd have the buses shown on Google Maps, moving around in real-time so we could see where they are. Or at least have an app that tells us how many minutes until the next bus arrives, for a particular stop. Most colleges have that so I imagine it would be easy for a county-wide system to afford and implement. Should be even cheaper, with economy of scale. I would prefer they get GPS system for the buses and invest in making softer seats inside, before building silly things like streetcar lines that I have yet to hear anyone cares about and will cost tens of millions.The Google scheduler is great. It works perfectly. (thank you for this, some cities still dont have this) Times arent exactly right sometimes... be sure and get there 10 mins early.But they have the basics down, its a good system. I see that you (CAT) are replying to these which is great (and really, impressive, and appreciated)... can you comment as to showing bus locations or at least arrival times, to Google Maps or an app?

The bus usually runs well enough for me, except for the lack of availabilty for Route 20. With it only running twice in the morning and twice in the evening, ending by 8pm, it is one of the most inconsistent routes, forcing me to leave much earlier than I need to and leaving me without transportation home until 4:40pm. 7:20pm is my last chance to make it home and that is way too early to end a route that goes to Walmart and the Oglethorpe Mall. If the bus ran more consistently, then people in the Route 20 area can really save time and money

I just had the Silk Hope bus #17 pull over & basically push me into another lane. I blew my horn & the driver looked at me as if saying, “oh well.” Terribly reckless driving!

Ive been riding the CAT bus for years. Theyve had there small ups and many annoying downs.The worst down I have just experienced is that they no longer give you change cards. I put my 2 dollars in to pay a 1.50 fare and the screen says Im credited 50 cents. A 50 cents I have no way of getting. Where does it say you must pay in exact change ? No Where !This is just a way to steal money from poor people that have no alternative.Shame on you Chatam Area Transit.

It snowed all of 2 hours. Your system has been closed for 3 days now. I find this highly unusual and it disregard the personal needs of the people. I have to use the bus to get to work and have missed due to your bus systems incompetence.

I am not pleased with route 3 West Chatham. My bus is scheduled to be at the bus stop at 1:59. I arrived at the bus stop 15 minutes early and as I was approaching I saw the bus left. As I called catch a cat, I was told that it was a matter of you say and I say, but phone records can prove I contacted the bus company 15 mins prior to 2:00. Sadly, I had to wait another hour for the next bus. #poorservices

I usually take the 10 bus and most of the regular drivers are cool and know me by name but I had this one non regular driver on the 10 bus that kicked a guy off for telling people about something that was not rude or bad in any way and was she was a rude driver all around but then one day I took the 14 bus and I asked the driver a question and she sighed and responded in a rude tone like it was such a bad job smh

Date 8/30/16Time 11:15pm.I was at the bus stop on Eisenhower and waters at 10:15pm. At 11:15pm a bus never came. Im a female and have to walk home all the way to east 39th and water. I hate the bus system they run when they want to. I hate these new drivers, they are rude and dont have customer service.

I was stranded trying to figure out if I missed my bus. And I called the cat hub center, they had horrible customer service. The woman didnt help at all, and she hanged up in my face. WORSE SERVICE
