I cannot recommend Smiles Of Distinction enough!! From their front desk staff, to the hygienists, to Dr. Bart — everyone makes you feel like family. They know my family of five well, and my kids love going in for their cleanings! Dr. Bart is a hoot - hilarious and so personable. :) Yet extremely knowledgeable and does extra studies on how to help his patients with their sleep, in addition to early intervention dental care in kids (to prevent bigger problems in the future). He truly cares, and shares his knowledge. We love Smiles of Distinction!

Im a HUGE fan of Smiles of Distinction. I have fussy teeth, and dealing with my dental health can be really hard on my morale, so this team has been AMAZING. This is the gold standard of dental care: 100% gentle, exceptional levels of expertise, with scholar-level detective skills. I found the office by driving by, then I looked at them online and saw they have high level equipment in office... that sounded like a good fit for me and Ive been VERY happy with their skills. Well worth it.

Smiles of Distinction is THE best dentist I have ever been to! We had some very poor experiences at other private practices (that called themselves “family dentistry”), but walking into Smiles of Distinction felt like coming home. After your first visit, everyone in the office knows you by name & remembers you & your family. They are SO friendly, they truly care about their patients, and they prioritize making their patients feel comfortable and at ease. You can tell they love what they do & that they are treated well as employees. Dr. Bart is fantastic - he’s fun, hilarious, and passionate about exploring the ways our teeth/mouth/throat impact our daily lives (ie: poor sleep, headaches...etc). He noticed my daughters tonsils were very enlarged, which can have many other health implications in children. We’re excited to do a sleep study & discover what kind of sleep she’s getting at night and how we can improve that. I love how Dr. Bart is passionate about this, and how poor sleep affects a child’s brain development. (And that’s not even dental work - he just cares.) Dr. Schultz and his dental assistants are great! They always do quality work and find ways to get you in if urgent. Theyre always concerned for their patients and never make you feel embarrassed. My only issue is theyre not in network with my insurance. But they will submit out of network claims and the payment comes directly to me from my insurance.

This is a fantastic dental clinic! Dr. Schultz has extremely good bedside manner. He is so kind, puts you at ease, and explains everything he is doing along the way. I have had a difficult time getting numb at prior dental clinics, but he has absolutely no trouble ensuring I am numb and comfortable. His technical skills are superior to any other dentist I have seen. The team at the clinic is also fantastic. Jill at the front desk always remembers you, explains things thoroughly, and is very helpful. I had a cleaning with Karlye--I highly recommend her. She is really personable, does a very thorough cleaning, but is also quite gentle. Lastly, Dr. Schultzs assistant, Kassie, is also great. Like everyone else at the clinic, she is so personable and thoughtful. This team really goes out of their way to make sure your dental experiences are top notch. I highly recommend this place!

I am also MUCH happier with the root canal/ crown experience I have had here than any of the chain dental care Ive had in the Twin Cities.I found them when I was looking for boutique-level care with a team who can routinely provide gas and print crowns in-house. I have a long history of finicky teeth... so I end up needing more work than most people. This has left me with HIGH expectations of my provider... and Smiles of Distinction truly delivers top notch care. The price is very reasonable considering the 5 star-level work they do. I dont have any other connection to their business, I am a just a fan of mastery any time I see it - and these guys are masters at what they do. Ive been going here as long as I can remember. The staff is out of their way nice! I come in twice a year for teeth cleaning. They have done a fantastic job throughout the years (including the three I had braces). I even had all four wisdom teeth removed here and they took complete care of me, no issues whatsoever. They take perfect care of my teeth- zero cavities or fillings or anything of that nature! I also do my part of brushing everyday though ;)This is the dentist for you!

Dr. Schultz and his staff are amazing. Which is great since going to the dentist was one of my biggest fears. I travel from Northern Wisconsin. I have had many procedures done. The staff at Smiles of Distinction are so nice, respectful, kind, they are accommodating and soothing as well. My experiences have been so wonderful with them since the beginning for cleaning to a filling.I was quite nervous once it was time for the real world to begin (the filling) but they went slow, they were patient, they calmed my nerves and made me feel so comfortable.Dr. Schultz was very careful and kind he told me everything that he was doing every step of the way. We first came into to Smiles of Distinction because my daughter had an emergency. It was after hours on a weekend and we had called - left messages at several dental offices. It has been a while since Ive been to the dentist, since I went out of state for college. I found these guys and I am happy I did. Everyone in the office is great, starting from the office manager, to the hygienist, the assistant and of course the dentist. The office manager did a great job of communicating and explaining the work that needed to be done and how it translates with my dental benefits. They gave me recommendations and different options and were not pushy with what I should have done, which I appreciate. They ended up doing a procedure that I ultimately chose to have done. The dentist is good at what he does and he made sure I was comfortable every time I came in.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here. My first time here a couple years ago when I needed a tooth pulled was excellent. Recently I decided to become a regular patient. The cleaning done was barely existent, and Jill was difficult to deal with-it was like pulling teeth (literally). Arrogant and snooty all around. Ive never seen a receptionist that argues with a patient about insurance then makes ten claims for one service. Luckily, there are plenty of dentists in the area.Response to office comment: At this point I believe someone at your office should be working with these specific staff members in order to provide extensive customer service training. The way I was treated by Jill is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I tried working with her and her attitude and was at this office three times with no positive changes. No apology from her in terms of her inability and lack of knowledge in processing insurance claims. I have a new dentist that I am very happy with and in order for me to spend any more time on this issue (other than this response) would mean more than likely hell has frozen over. Also, your response doesnt include an apology after the poor treatment I received. At least take responsibility for your actions.

I was referred to Bart because I had a problem getting numb and had a cracked filling that needed to come out. After the previous dentist made 3 attempts (3 different appointments within a 6 month span), 24 Novocaine injections later, he gave up and said I needed to see someone who could offer sedation.Bart and his staff were incredibly friendly and professional. Barts techniques made sure my jaw was thoroughly numb, and IT WORKED without sedation. I nearly cried when he said Okay, the fillings are out.A couple of other things I like about this dentist, the atmosphere was calming, they have TVs on the ceiling and headphones so you dont have to listen to the drill as much. Bart kept me posted on what he was doing the whole time and was very careful to make sure I was not in any pain. Honestly, I couldnt thank him enough for finally fixing something that had stretched into nearly an entire year of pain and suffering.I owe a million thanks to Bart and his team.
