I showed up 10 minutes before they were closing (unknowingly). After learning they were closing soon, I offered to come back so they wouldnt have to stay late. The staff told me not to worry and welcomed me. I was really impressed with their communication and overall professionalism. There were 3 employees working, and none of them showed any frustration at the fact that they ended up staying 30 minutes past close. I really appreciated this.

Very professional. Always makes clear what needs to be worked on. Very fast service. Only complaint is that the check engine light came back on by the time I got home, but I was told I could bring it back in if that happened and theyd look at it some more. The customer service is always fantastic and the crew is above and beyond when it comes to being friendly and giving you updates with what’s happening as they service your car. Rob, Nesto, Jacob and Daniel all worked together as a team and explained in detail what was going on with my car and how they could fix it. I am so grateful Grease Monkey was able to help me in a pinch. Smoke was coming from under my hood, and, panicking, I turned right off the road and happened to see their shop. It felt like a sign. They didnt think twice and immediately took my car in, and were able to get repairs done the next day. Rob was very kind and knowledgeable, and he explained everything to me in concise terms without condescension. He even did research into the issue and parts that would be needed for the fix. They made the best of a bad situation and I dont know what I would have done otherwise. I highly recommend them for services!

Well there was a small problem and I commend this company for being honest, and having integrity. They sent me a check as compensation for the damage caused on their part. I appreciate it in these days and times where most people arent responsible for their own actions. I do commend this company to anyone who needs an honest mechanic.

I am usually overwhelmed by the service at this Grease Monkey. Today may have been just a bad day for them. It took a very long time for the oil change and after that they found both tag lights were out and proceeded to fix them but could only fix one and still charged me for two. I got home to take a look around the car and noticed it covered in greasy slim in the areas that they were working. I had just went to Paradise car wash before the oil change so getting the car washed ($28.00) was a waste. Not that I wont go back, just really disappointed on this trip.

I have written a review before but this place continues to impress me! They brought to my attention that I had a leaky oil gasket. Although they dont do such work, they did give me a recommendation on where to get it repaired. Because of the cost of repair I didnt get it fixed right away. I was told I could push off the repair for a bit if I kept the oil topped off. Well, that is the great thing about getting an oil change at Grease Monkey, they offer free oil check/top offs as well as checking air in your tires. They were great about my frequent visits for top offs the last month while I waited for my repair to get done. When I had a leaky tire they saw a lot of me too! It really feels like I have little brothers that are good with cars that will check things out when I drive up. Grease Monkey ROCK!

Love going here. Theyre fast and thorough. Everything they do, they say aloud and another Tech confirms. Tire rotations, 2 separate Techs come around to check the torque specs. Have done all my oil changes since I moved to the area.

I appreciated the quick oil change service and that they brought to my attention anything about my car that concerned them (in my case my windshield washing fluid was leaking from the reservoir). They did not pressure me for additional services either, which I love!

Highly recommend Grease Monkey! Had my oil changed there today. The manager Ernesto walked me thru additional services that could be helpful for my car. I didn’t feel pressured at all, loved that he took the time to answer my questions and fill me in on what everything meant, and felt super respected. 100% will go there in the future!Also the entire shop just looked like they loved their job. What a cool atmosphere! Prices were also very reasonable and fair!

I recently got my car diagnosed by another local car auto service and they confirm that the issue is still relevant as well as the parts that were replaced water outlet is still leaking. This has actually trickled down to cause other greater system failures that cost well over another 2k dollars. I did bring it back to grease monkey this morning and spoke to Robert the original person who worked on my issue. He was extremely defensive from the beginning, didnt even greet me or anything (pretty horrible customer service) as well as not even looking thoroughly into the issue. I advised him of what parts were leaking and he claimed that there is nothing wrong with my parts theyre holding up I dont see anything leaking however the clear spots in my driveway state otherwise as well as the itemization Ive acquired by the alternate auto service shop. Imagine consistently having the same issue since October 26th 2020 the first day I entered the shop with this overheating issue. Now where I would expect grease monkey to be willing to work with me to resolve this issue like the owner Curtis said, there would need to be less ego on the mechanics end and more collaboration. I just want the parts that Ive paid for to be functioning properly as its been less than 6 months. Ive never had such failures as Ive had with this repair shop, if you can please avoid this place at all costs. Save yourself the stress, time and the money while youre ahead. Oh and this picture was taken this morning 30 minutes before I left to grease monkey however they dont know what the issue is... I digress

I have never spent the amount of money I have spent on an oil change with them. I walked out $250 on my Corolla. That being said, think my car got the best work ever. Sports cars roll up to this place and they told me to bring my car to themIf I wasn’t happy.

When I lived elsewhere Ive always gone to Grease Monkey so I was very excited to see that they had a Twin Cities location, actually 2 now! Everyone here went above and beyond to make sure my car was very well taken care of, made sure I felt comfortable in the lobby, took the time to make sure I knew I was valued as a customer and much more! They offered services but were not pushy at all unlike other places which was great and also informative to me so I know what I can do to keep my car healthy! They treated my car as if it was their own. If you need an oil change definitely give Grease Monkey a try, you will not be disappointed! Great service, good oil used (I dont like Pennzoil), I like the snacks and beverages offered while you wait. I also feel informed but not pressured to buy their additional services. I was loyal to Valvoline Instant Oil Change for years and theyve become too overpriced so I was hungry for something else. This place is a good alternative. I must also admit that I love that they vacuum my floors.

These guys are awesome. Pulled coupons I didn’t know about, ran and got tools they didn’t have for unforeseen problems, stayed after closing, and no hidden charges. Definitely coming back

I went to the Grease Monkey to get my oil change thinking it was a just typical car service business, turned out to be much more. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, fast and friendly. I went with my family and they made us feel comfortable with drinks for the children while they got to work on the car. They got done very fast (My oil change was less then 15 mins) and the job was done well. They let me know of some things that may need to be taken care of on the car in the future, but I didnt feel pressure from them if they were trying to make a sales pitch. I highly recommend this place to some friends of mine and they all said they will give me it a try. Well some Grease Monkey! 👍

I used to work at Grease Monkey during the time of the grand opening and they have made their way through hard times. The owner Curtis and his hard working managers Nic and Ernesto are great people to talk to when you get your car serviced at their shop and they don’t sell you anything. Needed oil change for my truck and was able to get right in. They were timely, super friendly and I was very impressed at how much they value customer service. They gave me a discount for being two minutes longer than expected and wiped down my truck dash interior and cleaned windows...which is part of their normal routine! I was very disappointed at first and expressed my disappointment in this post. The owner contacted me and asked what they could do to make my experience better. We discussed expectations and service and he was very open to changing some things they do and explained other concerns I had. It turned out to be a very positive experience with a company that obviously cares about their customers and their business. He was willing to go over and above to correct the issues. How can you not want to do business with a company with so much integrity?!I will be back.

My husband just had the worst experience with this establishment. We came in a few weeks ago to have our oil changed in both of our cars. We were there much longer than expected. When we finally found out that one of the techs was highly inexperienced and he stripped the oil plug. When we got home the car leaked oil everywhere so the next day my husband called and had a discussion with the manager, Craig, and asked for a full refund because my husband had to reschedule all of his work appointments (costing us thousands of dollars) for the day for them to fix it. Craig agreed and apologized again for the incompetence of the worker who originally made the mistake and fixed the issue. We had no problems with them after that and were even going to leave a glowing review for having remedied the situation to the best of their ability until today. Today we went in to get our refund and Craig said it was no problem they would take care of it. Craig called the owner of the store to go over how to refund us our money which ended with the owner coming to the store in person and he proceeded to call my husband a liar (even though when asked his manager backed up everything my husband was saying) got in my husbands face, and told him to “get the f**k out of his store”. I understand everyone has off days and emotions run high but if you own a business that is service based you NEVER speak to someone the way the owner of this store spoke to my husband. I recommend you take your business elsewhere.

Went here to have my headlights restored they over sprayed clear coat on to my fenders to where you could see it was darker on the paint went to wash it and the clear coat chipped off. I ended up just buying new headlights had to take to a body shop to get the clear coat off the fenders so the paint color matched the rest of the car.

I needed a last minute oil change and this place was AMAZING! I loved that they had a service time guaranteed board so you knew exactly when your car was going to be done. The staff was very professional and easy to work with- they didn’t pressure me into services I didn’t need and the prices were very reasonable. I’ll be back again for my next oil change! Great customer service!!! Didnt try to hassle me to buy stuff I didnt need, but informed me of things I may need to update soon. Very friendly people, they have a timer to show you how long youve been waiting and how long they expect you to be waiting. Im not one for leaving reviews but they did such a great job I felt the need to write one up for them. Wish I remembered the name of the guy that helped me, possibly the owner.

Going into a mechanic when you know very little about cars can be nervewracking. These guys made me feel at ease. I got my oil changed here and Curtis walked me through my options and price points, telling me what he honestly thought I did and didn’t need. I had such a great experience, I came back to get my brakes done. Curtis gave me an initial breakdown of possible costs, and called me with the updated quote before they started. 10/10 I reccomend these guys to everyone.

Recommended:Curtis and his team did great work on my 2001 Jetta TDI (diesel). He prides himself on doing great work and providing excellent customer service. As a DIY-er, I was glad to have these guys do the dirty work for replacing the filter and fluid for my transmission. Id explained that if the transmission fails on these vehicles, its 3-5k to repair so I really wanted to keep up on the regular maintenance. Curtis logically talked me into a fluid flush even though I had heard polarized opinions about flushes. After his explanation for why hed do a flush, I was confident he was was right. I should also mention that he replaced my cabin air filter at cost and didnt charge me extra. (He also made sure my oil filter housing was tightened to spec since I didnt have a torque wrench when I changed the oil at home)In other words, these folks are fair, they pay attention to detail, provide excellent service, and come highly recommended (for good reason).

These guys get customer service!First time I came in for a minor issue with my undercarriage. They not only fixed it, they cleaned my car inside and out! Afterwards the owner had me greet their team and every one was so polite and professional. The Grease Monkey expends too much effort up-selling filters, batteries etc. In my case, they removed the cabin air filter that had been replaced just three months previously by a Toyota dealership. The cabin air filter is located behind the glove compartment. My glove compartment door is now damaged and falls out or malfunctions periodically. So, stick to performing the services requested by the customer. The up-sale effort wastes customer time and your technicians may not have the skills to prevent vehicle damage.

Finally the south metro get a quality while-you-wait oil change that is reliable honest. Grease Monkey has a deal where you get 1$ off for every minute past 30 minutes you wait. SO... in the waiting room they have a free Keurig coffee with every pod you can imagine. I like the caribou one. Plus real creamer. And free soda : pepsi products, coke products, juices, water. First class waiting room for sure. Altho the synth oil change is 79$, I got discount w/ AAA plus there a delay so I saved another 6$. Either way, a thousand times better than Jiffy Lube or Precision. Franchise owner actually works the line, and I will def give my business! First Grease Monkey in Minnesota!
