I took my car to Jessies Garage for them to do an inspection on my car because my warranty was expiring and to check into my engine light as I was told my transmission fluid needed to be changed by another business that all they did was drive the car- they didnt even look under it. Nothing. . I made an appointment with Jim and dropped of my car to them early in the morning without even meeting them. Jim took care of me and the loyalty this business has is amazing. There are many car repair businesses that rip you off and tell you everything is wrong with your car just for the money. Not Jessies Garage. They are very loyal and honest. I called Jesses Garage in a panic after my daughter ran over a blown out tractor tire with her 2005 Honda CR-V while driving in traffic. We have just moved to the area and had no idea where to take the car. I looked online and Jesses Garage had nothing but excellent reviews, so decided to call. Well, I am so happy that I did! He had me bring the car right in (actually had to get it towed in). He was waiting for me and immediately put it up on the lift. After a few minutes he called me over and SHOWED me all the problems that I needed to address. He even prioritized them in order of safety so that I could address them independently. If you own a European vehicle, Jesses Garage is the place for you! Having owned mostly European vehicles, I know how important it is to have the right mechanic. My only regret is not finding Jesse sooner! He would have saved me a lot of money and headache with my Landrover, had I found him several years ago. Jesses garage provides excellent,punctual professional service.Recently,I experienced difficulty starting my 997 911 Porsche.That problem can indicate a variety of issues ranging from spark plugs, sensors or even a malfunction of the high pressure fuel pump.Jesse and his fine mechanics first tested the car to ensure the reliability of their diagnosis.In my case,it turned out that the high pressure fuel pump was indeed,defective.They promptly replaced the pump,after giving me an accurate estimate of costs,and serviced my car, at my request,while it was there.My car now starts very quickly and easily,and,runs much smoother thru the gears and especially upon gear change.There had been a slight hesitation when upshifting that is now gone,completely .Repairs on Porsches are never inexpensive,but Jesses rates are fair,and the work performed is outstanding.

I had Jesse perform a PPI on a prospective 2006 Porsche 911 C2S. He was able to set a timely appointment which was extremely important as I was doing this from out of state. His work and evaluation of the car were top notch. He provided a comprehensive report and followed up with a phone call to review his findings. I went to Jesses garage back in 2013 when I had a leak in one of my cooling pipes. I initially asked a nearby dealership for a quote and they came back with $650 to replace the entire system! They gave me some shady answer about the material of pipes that had to be used for my car. Made no sense really. Jesse was able to fix the problem in about 2 hours or so and went out his way to diagnose the source: hot engine oil continuously leaking on the pipe until it ruptured. He even reminded me not to forget to check on my timing belt as my mileage was high. Jesse isnt the cheapest but I think his honesty and hospitality more than justifies the price. I appreciate hard working and honest individuals as yourself. We definitely need more people like you.

I make the drive from Tampa to see Jesse and his awesome team. Dimitri took my beloved vehicle, with its engine that needed to be replaced, and completely rebuilt the vehicle from the firewall forward. Almost every component was replaced; Dimitri pulled everything out, put everything back together and raised the engine/driveline back into the body. I bought the extended Mercedes warranty of 100K or 10 years, but once it expired, I had to find a good mechanic that I could trust. To everyone who has no clue where to take your foreign auto just out of warranty look no further. I met Jesse about five or six years ago around the end of the recession and my Mortgage company had been closed for about two years. Money was more than just tight. My Mercedes ML 320 had every dash light on that could be on, warning me of impending doom. The real problem was in the abs box and a short. I was quoted $2000 by the main place your supposed to go and $1200 by a reputable shop supposedly. I heard about Jesse from a friend at Discount Auto at the time and I thought why not get a third opinion. He knew the problem immediately and said $600. to fix. I thought lets try this man and see. Two days later he called with the car ready. Al the idiot lights were gone and the car stopped on a dime. Jessie is a honest man of his word and no one knows foreign cars better in my opinion. l am very glad I met him and I still use him on al our vehicles today.

Jesse personally replaced the worn out rear differential on my 1988 BMW 325is. I was expecting parts and labor to be a lot higher and was pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable quote. Jesse and his staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the shop is clean and organized. Definitely will return if I’m in the area the next time my old car breaks.

It seemed all she was waiting for was me, to have everything start breaking! A friend mentioned his wonderful mechanic- Jesse, and I was off to see him. He was very kind and attentive and was very honest about repairs that were necessary and those that could wait. This of course saved me money and put my mind at ease! When he has had my car for repair, it is always a very quick turn around for me to get it back. I have also been able to stop by unannounced and he has taken the time to help me. Although the total bill was substantial, this was because of the amount of work that was needed and was significantly less than what a dealership would charge. I just moved to the area with my 76 Mercedes. I left a trusted Mercedes mechanic, who kept my car running for damn near one million miles. The odometer stopped at 693,000 and i drove it for 300-500 miles a week for 5 years after that. My alternator was failing and when i called another shop, they immediately said $700 for the part alone. Thats when i called my previous mechanic, who promptly screamed hell no,! An alternator is not that much and it could be the voltage regulator, which is a quick, cheap fix. I called Jesse and he told me the exact same thing as my former mechanic. I just left there and called my mechanic in Maryland to let him know that i found someone quite possibly as good as him! My experience this morning, especially after they looked at my engine and handled some minor repairs was seamless! It is a relief to know that my new car will be in very good hands! Thank you!

The greatest and most professional experience I have ever had at a repair shop. I had my BMW 335D towed in due to the harmonic balancer and my belt going out on me. He immediately looked at the vehicle and came up with a diagnosis in the same day. He called me during his conversation with my warranty company so that I could hear the conversation and how it went. Greetings all, sharing my experience for your benefit. Last week my 2003 BMW 530i told me we were low on coolant, topped her off and the next time I took her out she asked for more. A quick survey under the bonnet and the imbroglio was manifest, leaked coolant coming from the side of the radiator. The situation was dire. I called Jesse the following day half an hour prior to shop hours and lo and behold Jesse answers. A brief description of my situation and Jesse says lets get it in the shop and hed pressure test the system and if needed get the radiator. Long story short, same morning dropped my car, it was a Friday. Returned to collect my car complete with new radiator for the price expected at 430pm the same day. If you have a European car you will save yourself money and get honest mechanics- two things not easy to find

Several months ago I bought a fixer-upper - a 30-year old BMW with a few quirks. Theres a special place in my heart for E30s (reason #1 for the purchase), and I knew that Id be able to learn the basics of car repair by bringing my new ride back to life. Theres a well-established community for these cars, and I assumed help would be plentiful...What I didnt realize is that even the most reputable mechanics cringe at the thought of diagnosing problems without the help of a computer code read-out.Well, most mechanics.Of the three mechanics to whom I brought my car, Jesse was the only one who looked at the list of work I had done, who talked to me about potential solutions, who spent two hours fiddling under the hood - removing and checking hoses and sensors - while I was standing next to him. While other mechanics recommended that I just start replacing parts (or replace the whole car...), he tackled my cold-start / idle problem pragmatically and methodically. And for the additional work (suspension, brakes, etc), he made lists of what I could do with basic knowledge and tools before bringing the car back to him, to reduce cost of labor.The other two mechanics are good - and in the end, they were helpful - but Jesse was the only one who approached my problem with enthusiasm, dedication, and honesty. Im happy to pay for diagnostic work, and I did - but ultimately, it was Jessies free help that put my on the right track to fix my car. There are a few great mechanics for BMWs in Sarasota, and if your vehicle throws a code when its sick, you can take it just about anywhere. But if youre looking for someone who will work with you, who will honor your desire to learn from the experience, who will share his knowledge with you, theres only one guy in town.If youre looking for a great price and for good advice, head to Jesses. Ladies, it is so difficult to find an honest mechanic that wont try to rip you off because you are a female and easy to prey upon. Well, you found the best in Sarasota County if you trust your foreign car to Jesse. Within the first few minutes I knew he would be the one mechanic I could trust and after a year my feelings have been justified over and over. He has never tried to get me to do things that are unnecessary and always suggests options that are good for my pocket book. My BMW is over 100,000 miles and runs like it’s new. I moved to Sarasota last year (July, 2013), having just bought a used Nissan, and was looking for a good mechanic to help me take care of it. After reading the other great reviews of Jesses Garage, I decided to give him a try, and Ive never been happier! Jesses Garage provides great mechanical ability and knowledge, customer service, and good availability as well. Ive never had to wait longer than a few days to get my car in. Whats more, Jesse gives the high quality care/maintenance/repair at great prices, and doesnt nickel-and-dime or perform/recommend unnecessary labor or repairs just to pad the bill.You may have read that Jesse tends to specialize in BMWs and other German makes, but dont think that he wont take great care of your non-German vehicle. He now performs the maintenance for both my Nissan and my wifes Toyota, and were both incredibly happy with the service weve received! Give his garage a try - you wont regret it!

I brought in my 01 VW Cabrio to Jesse for a routine timing belt and water pump job….Well it turned in to much more trouble. Anyways, Jesse and Dimitri worked very hard to make sure the engine was timed perfectly and everything else was done properly on my car. He even changed my thermostat which I brought in with me for free. He is understanding and honest and I would recommend him to anyone with a imported car.

I brought my 2008 BMW 535i into Jesses garage last Friday for an oil change, new spark plugs and radiator flush/ coolant service, and I asked him to go over the car and let me know what else might need to be done. Jesse got back to me with a list of items that needed to be addressed- some critical, some can wait a few months. My tires were badly worn, dangerously so, and he gave me a very fair price for 4 new tires, he balanced them and aligned the wheels. He also discovered a crack in the radiator expansion tank, which explained why I had to keep adding coolant. Jesse replaced that, as well.All in all a great experience- excellent work at a fare price, done quickly.My car runs and drives like new again.Thanks Jesse!

I had my 97 MBZ E320 alternator replaced. Work was done professionally. The garage is small but organized and clean. I wouldnt hesitate recommending him. I paid a fraction (~1/3) of what my local MBZ dealer would have charged.

Jesse is a diamond in the rough among mechanics. I typically am very picky about who works on my BMW and after a consult with Jesse I decided to have him do some work. He was able to repair several parts which had broken and unlike past experiences where a shop would just order new parts, he took the time to find out what the real problem was and fix it saving me a tremendous amount of money on my repair bill. Ive been coming to Jesse for years. Hes always diagnosis any problems I have quickly and charges me a better than fair price. I mostly come here for fluid changes and regular maintenances because we keep an eye on what regular maintenances my car requires. I drive 26,000 miles a year because I commute to Tampa and I wouldnt be in nearly as good shape if I didnt have Jesse to take car of my car.

After reading other reviews I stopped by Jesses for an assessment of an idling problem with my older Landcruiser. Jesse diagnosed the problem and discussed solutions - the most optimal being a DIY fix - Jesse articulated how I could replace an idle system valve by myself, saving me at least a few hundred dollars. It is incredibly rare to find a mechanic who offers this sort of honesty and isnt simply looking for a means to make $$ off of his customers. Jesse lives up to the reviews, I highly recommend him.

Took my wifes Prius for a rubbing noise in front end. I have experience with cars so, I know what certain noises mean.. I also know how much those repairs should cost. Jesse was able to recognize the problem with the front passenger side hub and had it replaced the very next day under what I budgeted for. Not only is he a mechanic, he is also a car guy the kind of car guy that you want working on your vehicle. I will be back! Great experience!

Jesse fixed several problems on my 1978 Alfa Romeo Spider (Niki Lauda edition) that a much more prestigious shop charged me a hefty bill to screw up. He then replaced the wheel bearings for 40% less than the aforementioned shop had quoted. He is honest and tells it like it is. I have to admit that his shop is not a showplace of cleanliness and order, but ultimately what matters is the quality of the mechanic and his work, and reasonable prices. Jesse knocks it out of the park on all three counts.

First visit Jesse looked at my car right away (around 5pm), found the part needed for a new headlight and ordered it on the spot. Saved me a couple hundred dollars as opposed to the dealership. (FYI...I have a Prius)Today, Jesse did me a solid. He gave me a price originally to repair my bumper. Once he had the car he realized it wouldnt be a good idea to repair.
