Hands down THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY EVER. My car was hit in the parking lot when I was out of my car shopping inside Walgreens.First let me me say that Brandon my sales agent in Sarasota, Florida was fabulous. He really was great.. My issues with this dirty company came into play when a claim rep need Angelia DeJournie got involved. It took her a week to return my call. During that week I paid out of pocket for the rental car. She did finally speak to me and took a recording of my statement. I was not in my car. It was parked at Walgreens and I was found at fault. Seriously, I have always had rental car reimbursement for the last 40+ years I have been a driver. Somehow she said I did not have it. I know thats a lie. Unfortunately, I did not get a hardcopy of my policy.Run from Direct Insurance! As I said my salesman was awesome but it started and stopped there. Direct Insurance i have been told by the repair shop and Enterprise Rental that Direct Insurance is the worst company they deal with and 100% were not shocked by what the claims rep did to me.I thought Id save a few dollars so I went to a cheaper rate with Direct. I should have paid a little more and stayed with GEICO. After this whole ordeal I went back to GEICO and wish I never heard of Direct Insurance. Do yourself a favor and dont use them. I have had 2 weeks of expensive hell with them. Run, run run.

I came into the office today and was greeted by Bryon Towery. He was very friendly and easy to work with. I walked out of there with car and life insurance for $100.00 less than I had been paying just for car insurance alone. Big shout out to Direct Auto for having such kind and professional reps and making my switch to Direct a painless and enjoyable experience!

WARNING WARNING WARNING!!!! Pleas read before giving this establishment your business!!!! Me and my fiancé have paid $250 a month for over ten years on an assortments of newer vehicles up until about two months ago my fiancé was in an accident. The other party was cited for the accident as they ran a light and totaled our 2020. Direct not only denied our claim trying to state they weren’t informed I lived in the same house (I own a company vehicle and have NEVER even driven these vehicles) but is now also trying to sue my fiancé for false information!!!! This insurance company is a %100 scam and I would never steer my business or colleagues toward using them ever again. This is the FIRST accident EVER in over ten years and they denied our claim instantly to get out of paying for our vehicle. I hope this helps anyone shopping for insurance because the other parties insurance company has already paid what they were obligated to pay.

Direct Auto and life insurance in Sarasota offers insurance and auto and life and out-of-pocket medical cost. I havent heard too many good things about this place but they are a major insurance carrier and they should provide an excellent service when approached in the proper way.
