Manhattan GMAT is really worth the money! I took an in-person course with Ryan Jacobs, and the overall quality of the class far surpassed my expectations. If you make full use of the homework, subject guides, practice tests, and online Interact Lessons, you will see significant improvement in your scores (from my first practice test, I improved 260 points)!
The Manhattan GMAT program was essential in my GMAT prep (I received a 760/800). Chris Peckover was an incredible instructor. He was able to make the classes fun, engaging and highlight the key concepts and strategies that were vital to achieving a 700+ score. The course materials were well-organized and prepared me for the exam. I highly recommend Manhattan GMAT!
I had a great experience with Manhattan Prep as Ive attended both classes and private tutoring. Id recommend taking classes early on in the study process, and Id recommend taking private sessions closer to the end of your GMAT studies to really polish off challenging topics.
Manhattan is definitely the best GMAT prep option. I spoke to several friends who used different services, and the consensus is that Manhattan is the most comprehensive. It does take a lot of time, and you will have to devote many hours to reviewing what you learned in class, reviewing practice problems, and taking mock tests. At times it feels like there is too much information, so its important to focus on areas you can improve and to keep a running list/flash cards of strategies that can be applied to multiple problems.
I was extremely pleased with the Manhattan GMAT Prep experience. Everything was laid out in a professional, easy-to-understand manner, and my instructor Elaine was a huge asset the entire way through. I was able to make an enormous improvement from my first practice test to my actual GMAT, and attribute much of this to their program.
Very happy with Manhattan Prep! Class was incredibly helpful in mastering the test taking strategies. Ryan was clear, patient, and very thorough. Well worth the money!
The Manhattan Prep 9-session GMAT training course greatly exceeded my expectations and made it possible for me to achieve my target GMAT score. One of the best investments I have made.
I took an In-Person GMAT class with Patrick Tyrrell on Saturdays and I wholeheartedly believe that it was the foundation to why I was able to achieve a high score on the GMAT. Patrick is friendly, helpful, and approachable, making going to a class on your down time enjoyable. Although he was teaching a class with multiple students with varying skill levels, he made sure to give everyone the specific attention and assistance they needed.Throughout the course of my studying journey (post class), i was able to email Patrick for help and additional resources. He always had suggestions on how I could keep getting better. Not only was he a great instructor, but also a great motivator. A few days before my exam, I sent him an email and his words of encouragement helped get me into the right mental space to take on the exam.I would recommend Manhattan Prep to anyone looking for a GMAT Prep Class and I would absolutely recommend Patrick Tyrrell for anyone looking for a great instructor.
Ben is a great teacher. I took a standard 9-week class, and my overall score on the GMAT went up 120 points. If youre planning to take a class in the LA area, you cant go wrong with Ben Ku.
As I began the MBA application process, I wanted to get a good jumpstart on my GMAT studies. I decided to sign up for Manhattan Prep’s live class in Santa Monica. I tested out the online classes but it wasn’t for me. I signed up for a weekday night class with Elaine Loh and I was not disappointed. Elaine was a great instructor. She really knows her stuff and brings tons of excitement and energy to the classroom. This is especially important when you are covering a dull topic at 9:00 at night after a long day of work. Elaine was also very willing to help outside of the classroom and was very responsive to any email questions or concerns I had. The live classes and assigned homework also force you to stay on track while studying. In order to get the most out of the class, I recommend doing the assigned homework and coming to class prepared and with questions. In the end, the classes do a great job of laying out the core concepts and strategies to help you succeed on the test. For anyone looking at options for GMAT prep, I would definitely recommend the Manhattan Prep Live class with Elaine Loh.
When I was first considering which prep course to take for the GMAT, I asked around and did some research online to find that ManhattanGMAT was the most highly recommended prep course. After taking the 9-week prep course with my instructor, Patrick Tyrrell, I now know why. With Patrick’s help and the help of the material available on their website, I finished the course with total confidence that I have the necessary foundation to excel on the GMAT.Okay so now that the douchey paragraph is over, I can start talking like a real person. Trust me guys, if you want to do well on the GMAT, Manhattan is the way to go. They give you so many tools to help you learn and review. Now I’m not sure about the other instructors, but my instructor, Patrick, was the man. Having to sit in a classroom for 3 hours and focus on all the material will be hell if you don’t choose the right instructor. My classmates and I wouldn’t leave for at least 30 minutes after each class was over because we kept picking at Patrick’s brain for every bit on information we could get out of him. When I first considered signing up, I thought maybe I could just get away with paying for online access and prerecorded class videos, but I’m glad I didn’t. Patrick taught us different ways to approach problems that made ridiculously difficult looking problems child’s play. After taking this course, all I can tell you is this: if you’re studying for the GMAT, go with Manhattan. If you live in Los Angeles, go with Patrick Tyrrell. You will get your moneys worth.
