Fabulous service. We were arranging things from the other side of the country and everything worked out perfectly. They even arranged to meet us at a convenient location to provide the death certificate, which they managed to get early, and my daughter’s ashes. They went above and beyond what was expected. They made a difficult time easier with their care and compassion.

The staff at FRIENDS were so responsive and accommodating during a very difficult time. They facilitated everything, even going out of their way to meet us in unconventional locations to deliver the death certificates and ashes. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We are so very grateful for the service they provided.

My mom passed away a few weeks ago. Was searching around and I found friends Friends Funeral home in Venice. Called them up and within 2 hours they were at my mom and dads place to help us out. Ziri and Baxley were the best ever. They were very helpful with us in explaining what will happen and took care of everything really fast.I also needed a boat to spread my moms ashes and they arranged that also and the boat was beautiful. Ziri is unparalleled in her ability to provide comfort and context in what can be the most shattering of experiences. Ziri guided my wife and me through my mother in laws death and cremation, and more recently put me at great ease as my wife was dying. She brings generations of wisdom to the practice of guiding the dying and their loved ones through one of lifes most challenging experiences. She is a gem and to be treasured.

My husband passed away suddenly of a heart attack at the end of July. I was so traumatized I could barely function - but Ziri and Baxley and their team graciously took care of everything. They found a Hindu priest who performed all the symbolic cremation rites and arranged every last detail, down to coming to pick up the clothes my husband would wear during his journey to the other side. Diana, who works with FRIENDS, came to our home several weeks later to deliver my husbands ashes, and sat with me as I wept, showing me nothing but comfort and compassion. As hard as this time in my life was, it was made substantially easier by these lovely people.

Friends recently helped me with the passing of a friend. They were recommended by another friend who had recently gone through the same thing. They were kind and immediately responsive, which is what you want from such a service. I appreciated the help they were able to give me, including personal delivery of the death certificates and the ashes.

Her team is professional and compassionate, when my fathers death was unprecedented and a total surprise for me and my family, ziri was there to help us go through the whole process and we were able to make the funeral happened in timely manner. I found Friends Funeral Home while searching for a funeral home that could help with cremation services for my Mom and sending ashes internationally. All of the other funeral homes I contacted, as well as the Neptune society, did not know about any of the conditions regarding sending ashes abroad and had no experience with it. My Mom wanted her ashes buried in a family plot in a small city in Germany. When I called the number for Friends Funeral Home, Ziri answered with her lovely German accent. She knew exactly what needed to be done including the need for completing forms from the German Consulate. Amazingly, she even knew the town in Germany where my Mom wanted to be buried. She was able to use her German language skills to work everything out with the cemetery and funeral director in Germany. At a difficult time I did not have to face any ambiguity or complete any additional paperwork. Ziri is such a lovely person with an extremely kind, comforting soul. She also helped me navigate my Mom’s illness, hospice experience and final days of life. She calmed my fears and concerns and made me feel that I was doing the right things for my Mom. She gave me insights into what my Mom’s experience might be of departing this life and beginning anew. I am forever grateful to Ziri and the wonderful staff of Friends Funeral Home for their practical expertise and emotional support.

One of the best gifts I ever received was learning about Friends Funeral Home from a friend after her mother died. Friends provides highly personalized assistance, tremendous professionalism and creativity, and genuine kindness and support through every step of the very difficult road of saying goodbye to a loved one. Ziri Rideaux has wide-ranging experience in planning all kinds of events, as well as great connections, and she helped me design a memorial service for my mother that was in our price range and absolutely exquisite. The mortuary services were excellent, and carried out with great sensitivity to our wishes. Friends provided such wonderful service, and took so much of the burden off of my shoulders. The company is genuinely concerned about helping people. Do yourself a favor and forget about the big-name mortuary/funeral companies in town--all overpriced rackets.
