I called to make a reservation (Wednesday at 11am). No one picks up the phone, after selecting that Id like to speak to a representative at the location by selecting option 4, I immediately get transferred to hold music. After 10 minutes, you would hear the phone ring 5 times, someone would pick up the call and then immediately place you back on hold. Youll experience this every 10 minutes, I was on hold for 60 minutes...and after an hour, a computerized voice comes on and says Good Bye and disconnects the call...yes they wasted an hour of my time. During this time, I tried calling another location (2703 Santa Monica Blvd....thinking I might have better luck since this location was rated 5 Star vs. 4.3 Star ) using my mobile phone. After 10 minutes on hold, it does the same thing...rings 5 times and because no one picks up the call, a computerized voice comes on and says Good Bye and disconnects you (at least this location only wasted 10 minutes of my time). If it wasnt for the fact that my auto insurance requires me to go to Enterprise for my rental, I would never put up with this horrific customer service. Very accommodating! Everything was done outdoors, no need for masks.I accidentally landed at the wrong Enterprise location but they quickly transferred my reservation and gave me a choice between a few nice cars. Offered the insurance coverage but didnt hard-sell at me, which I appreciated.And when I turned out to need the car for only 3 days instead of a week, they refunded the difference with a smile. I wasnt using USAA this time but I have in the past and it always goes smoothly.
No international licenses accepted. I scanned my license online when I made my reservation. I took a 40 min Uber ride to get here. A heads up would’ve been nice.
This place has the friendliest people who exhibit loads of patience. I watched them get berated and belittled by frustrated people and they maintained their composure the whole time. Not an easy feat.
Over the phone was great experience, reservation was made and ready to go - in person good luck renting a car if youre Black or Brown. Totally profiled by staff and denied service - Ive rented at other branches before with no problem many times. Better Business Bureau complaint in process. Take your business elsewhere - There are other fine establishments to rent cars from in the area.
I love that I can complete all of the forms on line prior to picking up my vehicle. Once I arrive at Enterprise, my vehicle is always ready to go and i can be on my way. Returning the car is just as easy and the copy of my invoice is sent directly to my email.

I reserved a minivan a week before to use to carry my daughter and her things back from college for the summer. None was available when I arrived for the drive so I was assigned a full-sized SUV (Tahoe) with a $20 a day reduction. The discount didnt quite cover the extra gas costs for the 1,500 mile round trip from Santa Monica. Also, its a large vehicle to park in San Francisco on the drive north. Were used to a minivan providing pleasing space, economy, comfort and ease. This is one of the rare times Enterprise disappointed my family. In all fairness, I admit maybe this is a just an anomaly as demand for vehicles rises as we exit Covid restrictions. If Enterprise had accommodated us as promised and as usual, I would have awarded the friendliest company five stars again. Since Ive been asked to rate this particular rental, I can give three stars in good conscience.
*MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS “DISAPPEARED”* I was having my car repaired at Caliber Collision and I received a rental car from Enterprise. I left the Enterprise car at Caliber when I picked up my repaired car. Just 15 minutes after I dropped off the vehicle, I realized I left a brand new pair of $150 Nike shoes on the back seat—they were never worn and still in the box. I contacted Caliber and they said the car was just picked up by Enterprise and they immediately reached out to the manager at Enterprise, Rene, and I was told she would get back to me soon. The next day, after not hearing anything and contacting Caliber twice, I called Enterprise and Rene told me that they didn’t have the shoes and the car had been rented! Somehow, during their process of picking up the car and prepping it for re-rental, my expensive new shoes had gone missing. To be honest, I feel like they were stolen from me by someone at Enterprise. You would expect a company that touts itself in its marketing to have such great customer service would do a better job of caring for items left in vehicles and ensuring they’re not stolen from customers. I’m really disappointed that the shoes “disappeared” and I feel taken advantage of.
Straight forward - great fleet of vehicles. Plenty to choose from. I’ve been a member with enterprise for a bit so everything was done in line. Pick up and drop off was effortless (got a ride for both). Staff is very attentive, helpful and friendly. Thank you Enterprise!

Their prices tend to be higher than some of the other places, but their service is top-notch and their cars are always clean (some locations dont clean the inside of the windshield, though). With the online check-in, its much faster getting your car, now. And returning the car took just 5 minutes.Im glad to see that they are now open on Sundays. Before the pandemic, they used to be closed on Sundays (except for the airport location) so if I needed a car for just one day starting on Saturday, Id have to use another company.

Would have given them a 5 star but they dont usually put gas in the tank, one time was even empty n I needed to get going right away but had to go get gas first, never saw a rental that did this. Enterprise is the only good thing that happened with my car accident!!!Everything else is a nightmare .. car repair, insurance adjuster, and therapy. Enterprise made me feel like a real person ... They picked me up, my reservation was ready, the staff was polite and courteous, explained the terms ... and I returned the car about 10 days later. The return was as easy and smooth as the pickup ...with the same etiquette and courteousness when they dropped me off! Thank you for being the bright spot in a miserable ordeal!!!!

Despite COVID restrictions, the checkout process was fast and easy, and completely electronic. Although the car had a flat the next morning (and it was a one-day rental for a business meeting), which I changed myself, the manager Iryna H. graciously compensated me for the trouble I had. Ill definitely be using Enterprise for future rentals!
I have rented cars from enterprise several times in the past and recently about 3-5 times this year and I have never had a complaint or experienced any negative problems. I had a nearly 3 week rental set up by Geico while my car was in the shop. The pick-up process was very smooth - an Enterprise guy dropped off the new RAV4 at the shop where I dropped my car off and simply asked for a $50 deposit which I was told would be returned if the car was returned in good shape with 1/2 a tank of gas- the rest I was told would be covered by my insurance company (ultimately passed on to the other, at-fault partys insurance co). The three stars off are for false advertising/unexpected and non-transparent tack-on charges. On drop-off, the lady confirmed the car was in good shape and that there would be no gas charges, then stated I would be charted $45 for a daily time & distance fee plus a daily vehicle license recovery fee on top of CA sales tax. As Geico had already paid them $630 up front for what I had, and apparently Geico had -on talking with them- assumed would be the full cost of the rental. This definitely annoying, but I didnt have time to argue with her because I had to race to pick up my own car before the shop closed. I asked her if it would be charged against my security deposit. She seemed to respond yes, that is, she did not state it was $45 in addition to the $50 deposit, which, on later review of the receipt and my credit card bill, was the case. In short, after giving my insurance company a quote for the total rental which they paid, Enterprise then charged me an additional $95 for the rental. It then took another 30 mins of calls to Geico to have them acknowledge that this was NOT OK and agree to comp that fee too. Of course, Im out the addl opportunity cost of my time for this hassle. No wonder alternatives to big rental companies like Turo are gaining traction...

Honestly it was the location I received the car from, Wilshire and 17th, I believe. I will never go to that location again. Completely rude staff, dirty car, no gas was in the tank, when I picked up. I filled it up and when I returned it had 1/2 a tank. no refund was given for gas. I think that they were more concerned with people renting the exclusive cars, in which I would have loved but was not offered. Just because I was in scrubs, do not judge. This place needs a customer service training month. Their staff is rude as all get up.
Very negative experience. Made reservation for highest-end SUV weeks ahead. Confirmed day before. At pickup, promised cars were gone. Tried to rent me a car with bubble in front tire! Had to settle for mini-SUV bottom of the line. Worst customer service. 5 calls and texts trying to speak to mamager. NEVER CALLED BACK! Terrible customer service. Terrible management.

0 stars. I was never explained the 24hr billing process by any representative at this location. I got billed an extra day and was not refunded my full deposit. Also, waited about 45 min just to have the car prepared.Scott Manchester the Branch Manager was completely unprofessional and unapologetic for the misunderstanding. Did not accept fault whatsoever and had a smug, childish attitude the entire conversation.
As always very happy with the quality of service by Enterprise staff and the very competitive pricing of my USA hire.My only complaint is that in processing the $200 deposit along with the hire fee customers from England lose on exchange rates twice before the deposit is returned at the end of the hire period. Cannot the deposit be held rather than processed immediately? It only cost me an extra £7.30 but remains a little off-putting.

Getting where I needed to go was easy. Unfortunately I came here an paid no drop off fee and now I’m planning on heading back and there’s a drop off which which is more than double the price it took to get here. (6hrs away)
SCAM!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!Dealing with this Enterprise has essentially wasted more than 12 dedicated hours of our vacation dealing with them. We rented a vehicle to take on a one way trip to San Diego. They offered a free upgrade to a Challenger which we accepted. In hind sight, this was a mistake. They did not offer an explanation for why they were giving the upgrade. They were friendly and we continued on. The associate who inspected the vehicle (verbalized to us he is new and still learning) did not look under the rear bumper while we were with him. We are not trained car inspectors and trusted his inspection. Upon returning the car to San Diego, there was noted damage to the decorative cover around one of the tail pipes. We certainly did not cause this damage and told them this. We would be the first ones to take responsibility for something we did. But the issue is we did not do this, and there is no way this happened while the vehicle was in our care and parked based on the unique location of the damage. But they want us to pay for the hidden damage under the car!!! From there, it has been a nightmare to deal with resolving this issue. Endless calls between the branch, corporate, and regional offices, being put on hold over and over again, and managers Brian and Kai who are evasive and hoping we just go away. We now wonder if they intended on renting the damaged car hoping we wouldn’t see the damage so we would be stuck with the bill.Buyer beware!!! Do not trust the inspection if you are inexperienced in renting cars. The Santa Monica Branch refuses to help us through this, not giving proper contact info for managers above them, and telling us they are too busy with customers in store to talk with us. We are forced to dispute the payment through our bank.TRUST THIS STRANGER-Take your business elsewhere!!! We are left with hundreds and hundreds of dollars charged to us and feel like the company from the bottom to the top are too busy to help us.
The agents at this office are always welcoming, accommodating, and professional. Even my early arrival didnt present a problem. They have late drop off (key box) and are always eager to make car rental a smooth process. Great folks!!!

The staff was great and the rental was perfect. The process was quick as well. The only thing that bothered me had nothing to do with any of these things but with the actual company policy on returning the vehicle and gas. I made a reservation and was given the vehicle on empty and I agreed to it since we were in a hurry and had to hit the road. They seemed very busy so I didnt want to be that person lol. But when I returned the vehicle it had a little over a quarter tank. The company charges you gas if you did not fill the tank to where it was when you received the vehicle but they will not discount you for returning it with more gas than it was given to you with. I think even refunding half the price of each gallon would be sufficient considering the price of gas right now. But thats just me. Again the staff is great and fast but this policy should be changed.

This was easily the worst rental experience Ive ever had. I will never use Enterprise again. I rented a 12 passenger van for a church youth trip. Two of the rows of seats were not properly anchored in when we picked up the van. You would think theyd inspect that, especially considering those vans are commonly used for transporting kids. The the air conditioner worked at first, until halfway through our trip it would only blow really hot air on us, even when we turned it off. It never got over 70 degrees on our trip, so theres no reason 100 degree air should be coming out. Finally, I chose Enterprise because we were leaving early in the morning. They were the only ones that said I could pick up the van at 7am and return a few days later at 4pm. Even my confirmation email said so. I was extremely disappointed that the location didnt open until 7:30am, so I had to just wait around while they got the office set up for a half hour. This made me late to grab some last minute things like ice for our trip. Then I went to return it a few days later, and the location had been closed since 12pm!!! Why would you give me e-confirmation that I could drop off at 4pm, or at least tell me in person that you close at 12pm that day?!?! Then they charged me for bringing it in the next day. I wouldve been far better off renting from one of their competitors, and so will you.

Incorrectly charged me an extra $200, claiming the car was returned 2 hours late, even though it was returned on-time during their after hours return period. No one was there to check it in at the actual time.

Excellent customer service provided by Zac! He rented the car three times for three weeks in a row and he was always courteous and cheerful. Cayman, the new management trainee was very friendly and dropped me back, making the ride very interesting and comfortable . Lawrence, the driver always picks me up on time and makes the ride pleasant. I have been renting cars for years from this place and have had only good experience. I wish the place had more females to balance it off. It will be nice to have some variety. Not too long ago, this particular office was thriving with very efficient male and female reps helping customers. Now, all of a sudden, it has become a staid and prosaic all-male outfit. Women like to see a sprinkling of women, just like men feel comfortable dealing with men. I strongly recommend hiring some female management trainees to bring back the vitality that this place once had.

Car was fine, original rate was fine. The problem was they conned me with the extra insurance. The blonde woman who I rented the car from was very dishonest, did not specify the insurance rate she quoted was daily. Why would I add close to 20 dollars a day in extra insurance to a car that was only 25? I never consented to that rate. The guy I returned the car to and who broke the news to me was empathetic and helpful, but only so much he can do. The single star was for him. I wish I remembered his name, I was just still in shock from the bill. I reached out to enterprise through the website but didnt even receive a reply.Plenty of other options to rent a car from, almost 5 within a mile radius, countless more in the city. Save yourself the time and money and check elsewhere.
I love this office becaue they really try to get the car you want.They are always busy and yet they never lose patience. Many people are there demanding their attention but they stay calm and friendly.

The only reason I do not give 5 stars is because they usually dont have the car I rented online, so Ive had to compromise on my choice of auto when I get to the location. So far, theyve provided suitable substitution, but it would be nice to get what you book online.

If you have a wealthy bank account you should not be required to use a credit card for Luxary Car Rentals. Credit-Cards are a system designed to put you in further debt. I got rid of my credit card years ago. No point in spending what you do not have.

This is my favorite location. Everyone is friendly and they go out of their way to make sure that they offer top level customer service. I can truly appreciate a place where every member that Ive encountered is knowledgeable and puts such effort into what they do.
I am accustomed to receiving excellent service at an Enterprise location. Unfortunately, renting a vehicle on a Saturday at the Wilshire location Santa Monica was a not a good idea. Due to the very heavy traffic of customers I waited over an hour for my vehicle. The staff tried their best, being understaffed they could only do what the could.
This Enterprise location picked us up at our hotel and upgraded us to a pristine Jeep Cherokee. We received a call the day we returned the car to a different location to check if everything had gone well. It had. We always use Enterprise as their service is impeccable.
I return to this location because it’s close to where my son lives, the service is excellent and th staff has very good customer related skills.
First time to rent in this location, employees were very courteous and helpful. Very satisfied with their service and have a reasonable rate. I highly recommend this location.

I want to thank all the people at Enterprise rent a car located at 1719 Wilshire Blvd, I have been renting cars for years from them but starting in September 2014, I have no car & when needed (which was often) I rented from them every person always has a smile & is trying there best to help. Recently I had a family emergency & needed a car quickly, I called & they said we will come pick you up & take care of you, & this was during the time of spring break/Easter, I had the car for 2 weeks & my bill was under $ 450.00 when I thought I would have to pay $ 44.99 per day + Insurance. They were there when needed & I can not thank them enough, I also called & said I need to drop off the car at another location they just said OK & I did with the Simi Valley branch & they were also great, I have always thought Enterprise rent a car was great & now I can confirm it. I like Enterprise on Wilshire in Santa Monica. Their group hustles, handles a crowded rental center with professionalism. They dont push on insurance if you let them know that you understand what it means to pass on it.The cars are okay, clean, good transportation.

The customer service and ease of a local pickup from Santa Monica Enterprise is great. However, the condition of the last vehicle I picked up was suboptimal: (a) car was dirty on the interior with trash which I had to throw out, (b) dirty on the exterior - had to actually get it washed, (c) car smelled like cigarette smoke, and (d) the car was basically empty on gas - which meant i had to fill it up right after picking it up.Again - service reps were great - and they knocked off a days rent for the problems - but basically the vehicle condition fouled the experience.
I actually had a pretty easy time getting back on the road after my car was totaled.

I have been renting a car since April... About 31 weeks at $138.00 a week. $4238.00. When my contract expires I come in to rewrite it and leave another deposit. Today the manager Adria called me and before I could return the call... Began calling my references humiliating me. I called immediately as I have not been contacted by Enterprise for my month seven rewrite and did not initiate contact because Enterprise had removed funds from an account without letting me know. I have never been treated so poorly!!

My experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car goes about 12 years back. If I need to sum up my total experience with all Enterprise branches, I think 3 stars are fair enough. This branch only recievs 2 stars though. The cars are the same cars, no complaints, however the customer service I got here was pretty bad. One of their cars, I picked up from another branch, had a check engine light the day after I first got it. I drove to the nearest branch (this one) to have it replaced and they pretty much told me to leave the car and go to another branch to pick up a car because they have too many reservations and cant spare any of their cars. Yep, didnt even offer me a ride to another branch or any assistance in finding a replacement car. Only reason they get two stars and not one is that I keep one stars for the worst experience ever, which was not the case here.
