I had a breakdown in Pismo Beach on my way to Santa Barbara in the evening yesterday. I called just about every tow company in the area and most of them were not willing to tow me all the way to Santa Barbara. Gils accepted the challenge and sent Mike to pick me and my car up. Vincent with Gil’s towing provided excellent service. My car was stuck with a dead battery in a two hour parking zone as the vacation town I was visiting was shutting down. Without Vincent’s quick service my car could have been impounded. Vincent delivered my car to the Ford dealership after hours with a picture proof of delivery with it ready for first of the line service the next morning! If not for COVID, I would have hugged the driver Miguel! I was trying to get my car to the tire shop to repair and it went super FLAT on the way. I pulled over to a gas station and my husband, who was following in his car, tried to put the spare on but the lug nuts were on too tight. We decided to call for a tow to just get it to the shop. Miguel arrived in about 5 minutes and was super friendly and professional. He asked what happened and we explained. He had better equipment on his truck and was able to help change the tire so we didn’t need the tow. He could have easily just picked up as a tow and made us pay more but he was honest and helpful. I will definitely use and recommend Gil’s for a tow next time it’s needed!

I lost my van key and it was parked in my car port at my condo complex. My insurance called Gils Towing to take it to the dealer. Vincent showed up promptly, and after some assessment, began positioning the truck in the very tight space in front of the van. It took some effort, but he was able to load the van without any trouble. I was very impressed and thanked him profusely. I highly recommend this towing company.

Needed a tow. Gils was chosen by our Good Sams service. Tow Truck arrived on site sooner than estimated. Tow truck was in good condition and the driver Ben was professional and courteous. My car is very low to the ground. Ben took extra care not to damage the vehicle through the whole loading and off loading process. I would definitely use Gils towing in the future.

Alternator went out in my car. So I called my insurance they had GILS towing come out. I live in lompoc but Vincent was there quick. He also had my suburban loaded quickly and dropped it off at a mechanic shop for me. He is a very kind, hard working and very professional. I hope my insurance continues to call them for services. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS IF YOU EXPECT COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS!This morning, a driver entered my 84 year old post surgery fathers house during a simple battery recharge and tow. Apparently, this company doesnt care about keeping people safe or following state wide precautions. This driver could not wait to use a nearby public restroom and instead put my father in an awkward and potentially life threatening situation!

This place is the best. Vincente has been our tow driver twice now and both times were emergencies with a really big RV. Vincente was super nice and understanding. Really friendly guy too. Thanks my friend!

My experience with Gils towing was exceptional. I do not drive this area alot and got myself in a bind with side of the road mud. Short story, driver named Vincent showed up for the recovery project. I dont even know where to start. Vicente from Gils Towing is the man. I needed a tow from Lompoc to San Luis Obispo. My classic 46 pickup was a big truck. I called 10 or so tow companies from Lompoc, Santa Maria, and Luis Obispo. Vicente was the only person who didnt eye gouge me when he found out it was a vintage vehicle. He was professional and was very careful with my vintage vehicle. He worked hard and didnt milk the time. Gils Towing was the best price by far. I wouldnt have a problem calling them again. Vicente has twenty years experience in the tow business. Do yourself a favor and call them first.

Today was my first experience with tow service. I didnt know whom to call so I took a shot at Gils Towing. First, their prices are exceptional, secondly, the customer service is very spot on, and third - the tow truck driver, Vicente, was wonderful to work with. He pays attention to customer needs and is diligent that the customer knows where their car is. Poor service. Unfortunately my auto insurance contracts with Gils so I did not have an option. Made the call for a tow at 9:30am through my insurance. Received a text 30 minutes later from Gils, no ETA. Tried calling Gils by phone, phone rang and rang, no answer, no voicemail option. On the 4th try, got though. Was assured someone would be there in 45 minutes. After an hour and a half, the driver told my insurance he was at my location, which he wasnt. Finally, 10 minutes later, he showed up, more than 2 hours after service call. He apologized for the delay, and expressed surprise that his boss did not dispatch another available driver. He stated there were other drivers, but he did not start work until 11am.I can understand delays - as long as they are justified. But the dishonest reporting to my insurance and the extended delay shows neglect and unethical business practices.There are other tow companies in the area. One stopped by my location asking if I needed assistance and offered me some bottled water. I wish my insurance contracted with them instead.

After my insurance company recommended a different tow service somehow the ball got dropped and Gils Towing were the ones that were coming out to get me and my vehicle. I got estimated between 60 and 90 minutes but tow truck driver Ben through Gils Towing of Santa Maria got to me in 25 minutes and charged great prices. Friendly service and ETA was earlier than expected! I recommend Gils Towing for anybodys towing needs.

Gil’s Towing117 W Mill StSanta Maria, CA 93458To Whom It May Concern:.On October 24, 2015 your company came by to change a flat tire, and your technition broke the nut and bolt that holds the wheel. I took it to a place to remove the bolt and they ended up having to put a bigger whole into my alloy wheel so that they can remove the tire, They also destroyed the lock for the wheels and I had to replace a complete set, due to the fact that the key lock willl not match to the lock I had to purchase. Attach are the invoices of which I had to purchase items that are destroyed. The total bill comes to $547.75.*I have tried to no avail to communicate to you regarding the damage, and to date have not received a response. It is best you contact me, if not I will see you in small claims court, and you will definitely lose the case.

Called to make sure that i was good to go, even though i had called Gils and canceled service requirement (through AAA) as I had found someone with a jack at 7 Eleven on 4th & Grand in Grover. Also, service from Gils would have been 45 minutes earlier than quoted by AAA. Thanks fellas

Excellent service Vincent was very professional and efficient AAA came out there and they refused to tow my car but vincent came at 10 pm to Montaña de oro in los osos california and towed my car no damage to anythin would definitely recommend if ur in san luis obispo santa maria pismo beach..

I made an appointment the day before I needed a tow to get it to the body shop the next morning. I needed it towed over 100 miles and an hour after they were supposed to arrive I called them and they said, sorry an emergency came up, we wont be able to tow it, you need to find someone else. They didnt even give me a courtesy call saying they wouldnt make it so I could try to make different plans sooner. So frustrating when you have everything planned and they screwed the whole day up. If I could give zero stars I would!
