My fiancé and I rented a 20 foot truck and car trailer to take from NM to Washington. The service rep at the counter was helpful and straightforward. He appeared over qualified for the job and we appreciated his professionalism and careful instruction. Thats where the good new ends.Two days into our 1500 miles trip we blow a tire on the highway. It was the inside rear, so luckily no accident. We searched the paperwork, contacted roadside assistance and soon enough a tow truck was set to meet us at our motel that evening. In the morning, the tire we arrived at the truck to a brand new tire and hit the road with confidence.About two hours into our drive the next day, yep, you guess it, we blew another tire! This time its the drivers side front. If you havent felt a 90 pounds of air pressure explode through a thick layer of rubber and steel well let me tell you, its a wake up call. Lucky for us, I was able to steer the truck to the median safely and managed to find enough reception to call roadside assistance, again.Long story short: It appears U-Haul has an unofficial tire policy: if it aint blown, we aint fixing it. Only a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured if it hasnt happened already. Be careful.

Uhaul wanted to charge me $300 to return my truck to this Santa Fe location instead of the Albuquerque location where I originally picked it up. That is a rip off, which is what I told the employee. He proceeded to lecture me that he is not personally trying to rip me off and that I signed a contract agreeing to certain things. Thank you for that unhelpful information.This company knows moving is a hassle and takes advantage of the fact most of us are stuck. Use Penske trucks next time.

Everything went down like clockwork. When I initially called this business, I was told that all their trucks were rented out for the weekend. I contacted another location abd they referred me to this location to pick up my truck. When I arrived, the lot was chock-full of trucks. I addressed my concerns in person. Hopefully you wont have any issues!

Transaction was smooth as silk. Got our van, even earlier than our reservation! Not saying thats always going to happen - they had a line out the door when they opened. Now THAT is great word-of-mouth, and great customer service! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

The kid that hooked up my trailer in New Haven didnt even check to see if the trailer tongue was mounted high enough to prevent the trailer from dragging on every bump and dip the whole way from Connecticut to New Mexico. Which it DID!!

Reserved a trailer to relocate 2500 miles away planning to tow my pick up truck and it turns out the trailer is too short and there’s nothing he can do about it, though I was assured beforehand it would be just fine. Had to spend another $1600 to have my truck transported last minute.

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews; maybe only people that have bad experiences are posting. Experience was very straightforward, owner was very easy to deal with, and we got charged for exactly what we used. We would definitely use this company again.

This store has a lot of bad reviews. This much is obvious. One reason can certainly be that only the very upset customers left reviews. There is talk of shady practices and swindling business tactics at this store. That being said, nothing about my entire transaction was negative. I called ahead to see if they had the pickup truck available, and asked them to hold it for me. When I arrived, we filled out the paper work. I made sure that the truck was covered by their insurance, (which in my head should not be optional) and then, less than 10 minutes later, I was on my way to move a sofa down to Albuquerque. A few hours later when I was returning the truck, the store had already closed, but I made sure to refuel the truck to the correct mark, and simply put the key in the drop box in front of the store. I called the next day to make sure everything was squared away and I ended up paying less than anticipated. The staff were friendly and answered any questions that I had. Because of this pleasant experience, I am bound to go back to this store next time I am in need of a moving vehicle.

The staff are very nice but a $20 rental for a small trailer ending up costing over $70. Had to purchase a hitch/ and the adapter for the lights. Felt nickled and dimed to death. They should be includuded or able to be rented too. Then they were out of adaptors and we had to run next door to Pep Boys for one which was more expensive. Pretty frustrating experience.

Guys were straight up. Brother left wallet and phone in truck and they saved those for us. Service was good too.

AVOID! Once they have charged you, customer service is non-existent. Was charged for fuel and nine additional miles even though I have proof that they must have checked out the returned car improperly. They wont listen or provide an email address for a formal complaint and act unapologetic (claiming $24 for 80 miles is realistic, then hanging up) .

Good service. Most of transaction was done online. Staff was not very helpful, I had to find my trailer, and attach it by myself.

Ive used this location twice, and each time theyve been very efficient and professional. I used online registration both times and never had a problem.

I had a great experience with this uhaul dealership. I drove from Phoenix AZ to Santa Fe NM one way, when i got there i was late by a few hours and the gentelmen were very professional and very cool. When I walked in they greeted me immediately even though they had a small line. I was in and out in a short period and quite happy.

I used this company last weekend to move. I am honestly shocked that there are all these negative reviews here. The guy was pleasant, I was in and out within fifteen minutes. I was not overcharged at all, the truck was clean and service was fantastic.

I cant believe some of the negative reviews. If you turn in a vehicle late you will be charged an extra day. That is in the contract. This is a fine uHaul establishment. I guess some people are just overly critical. And by the way, they are a franchisee, so they are a local small business.

Lots of vehicle types to rent, you can leave your car parked there while you are using the rental, and the customer service is very good.

While I had some problems with the U-Haul reservation, staff here was great and helped untill the problem resolved. The owner is super helpful!

Garbage. If you think youre getting a $30 truck for anywhere near $30 then youre in for a bad time. Paid $240 for a truck that shouldve been $80. Fine print and fees raped me. DO NOT sign anything before you read every single line of text, I dont care if there is a line all the way to the plaza.

Equipmnet is clean and well maintained, and service is by friendly folks who know their job. The Camino Carlos Rey UHaul is my go to place for trailer rental.

I have had a nightmare experience with Uhaul over the past 24 hours. My trailer has popped off twice while driving down the highway. Kyle came the 2nd time as my roadside assistance technician. He has been the only thing thats been right about this moving experience so far, and actually repaired the trailer, instead of just hooking it back up. If all uhaul franchises were ran with the same integrity and customer service level that Kyle had showed me, my family and I wouldve never been put in danger in the first place. I only hauled stucco. I swept out the bed and he still charged me the $15 cleaning fee.

I wish we would have read the comments below! we returned our truck one hour late on memorial day and got charged for a full extra day. the parking lot was full of the same size trucks, and not a customer in sight. as a small business owner, i see no reason to nickel and dime your local customers. i hope the extra $60 was worth it for him- he (and Uhaul for that matter) lost my business for life. all Santa Fe folks should avoid this place like the plague!

I have returned out of state rental trucks here 3 times. But it is now my last time.Owner acused me of damage....a small area that was already there. In fact, the place I rented the truck from backed me up and said it was already done. But he kept trying to acuse me of the damage. He was unpleasant, rude, and not a customer friendly experience what so ever. I have to rent a truck again today, and I am shopping else where.

The owner is a LIAR and a thief! He makes extra money by overcharging and claiming that you dont return the key, even though he has the PROOF thru video surveillance of the drop box. Read the reviews, this is his M.O. This is a horrible thievy franchise!! Spend some extra money and rent from Ryder. Even though their rates are a little higher, by the time the Moving Store tacks on bogus prices, it should be about the same! Or go to the uhaul on Cerrillos. I wish I had compared reviews BEFORE I had the misfortune of being scammed. There should be negative stars, because 1 * is too much!

Absolute worst. The owner will not help you at all, he will not answer questions about your move, in fact I believe he outright lied to me. I asked for a 10ft truck, and he would only rent me a 14ft, though he had a 10ft. Im out a few hundred dollars b/c of him Nor would he ensure that I had properly secured my car to the trailer which was too large forthe car, although he had a smaller sized trailer on his lot. I asked him several questions, and he refused to provid straight answer. In fact, he refused to provide any service at all. Dont be a sucker. This company should lose its uhaul franchise. This experience makes me want to not ever use uhaul again.

Doesnt honor uhaul box prices, this company is cheating its customers, and profiting $6.50 for every 25 small boxes sold by not selling at bundle rate as shown offered on uhaul website.

The old guy is rude, rude, rude! Stopped in at 10 minutes before they closed and he did not want to take the trailer. He said he was closed, clearly it was not closing time posted! We unhooked and parked it with the others and left. RUDE, and NO customer service what so ever!!!!

24 hour drop off. The guy was a little grumpy on the phone, but you can drop your trailer or van off here after hours and not have to pay for the next day.
