The number listed for this office hangs up after one ring. No voicemail, no hold, nothing. The 800 number listed on the website takes you through an automated system that takes at least 15 minutes to input all the info they want from you, only to be put on hold. I waited for over an hour today while the automated message told me my wait would be over 20 minutes - for over an hour. I dont know, I guess with the pandemic they are THAT swamped but it seems unlikely theyre completely incapable of being reached. But what do I know? Either way, dont expect to talk to an actual human if you need help.

Get there early, it gets crowded. If you cant get there early, go around noon. People get tired of waiting and they leave, so you get seen fairly quickly in the afternoon. Customer service is great, the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Luckily, i didnt have to interact with the people who work there since i was only dropping off documents. The 2 stars is for the resentful hatred that my memories of past interactions conjure up. If you ever wondered what its like to be treated like a complete and total scumbag, then come here with a legitimate question that they dont know how to answer.... And you will be treated like vile scum because.... Projection is a complicated concept...

Human services has improved so much I used to work there at CSED, the application process is so you have the option to take care of all information gathering online, you really never need to appear in person any more, you can have your interviews complete by phone. If you dont have the ability to upload your necessary documents you can always go by at any time and drop off your documents, if you need copies made they will also do that for you. There is no longer an excuse for not applying for benefits. The most time I ever had to spend going to HSD for certification is 15 mins. Time is precious and of the essence here.

My hubby and I need proof that we were on the same case for tanf B4 our son was born as well as after. CSED also needed proof from a previous case that my hubby and I were not together at that time. At this location the human services department is in the same building as the child support enforcement department. The HSD office switched to a new computer programming and they can only go back as far as the beginning of 2013 on the computer. CSED wanted proof from 2009-2011 and no matter how many times I told the worked she just kept telling me she needed it in order to close the case. We got so frustrated with each other that we ended up in yelling match over it. Turns out it was her boss and on up that were not understanding what was going on. It took 7 almost 8 months just to get some one to belive us and even then they still didnt seem to understand that there were 2 separate cases unrelated to one another. Then it took another month just to get our money back and m poor hubby still has to keep the letter of completion on him just in case to show proof to MVD,game and fish and the cops cuz they still messed every thing up. 10 months was wasted on closing a child support case cuz we decided to work things out and stay married. Wages garnished, taxes withheld, license revoked not to mention all the money spent to take the train cuz we had to go to that location cuz thats where it was filed. When all they had to do was walk to the next office over in order to get verification that they could not get verification that far back even though they have hardcopy s on file. I understand that there are a lot of people that need to be dealt with and things happen but really? ! Instead of emailing back and forth pick up a phone or better yet talk a 2 min walk to talk face to face with some one who knows what is going on and how to help resolve this the problem. Communication is the key people!

State personnel here tend to be a little on the grouchy side but will generally put you in the right direction but the security guards seem to be a little lacking here in terms of professionalism
