Chris and Nick do such a good job keeping me updated and explaining what’s going on with my car. Everyone is super friendly, and I’m always happy with the work done.

When I needed a routine tire rotation, I was able to schedule the work without an appointment, and it was done in less than 45 minutes. Thats real convenience!

I have been going to Lloyds Tire for years.always had great service.Bought tires 07/08/2019 from the new Lloyds Invoice#365550 (TWO YEARS )I went in last week for tire rotation and oil change.I was told I needed new tires@#$% # Took the car to another tire shop the man looked at my tires and said I DID NOT NEED NEW TIRES!!!I dont know what is going on with the new Lloyds. Very Sad.

Basic service: oil change, safety check for my metris was 1/2 of what the dealer was asking and was able to make an appointment for the next day and they had it done quickly. Oh, plus a good deal on tires.It’s hard to find a service shop you trust. Lloyd’s earns it every time.

These guys are amazing! They squeezed me in with an emergency on my truck and got me back on the road headed out to my home in Idaho. They were honest, fast, and I felt the price was very reasonable. If I’m ever down on this side of California again I hope I break down near them LOL!

Went in for a distributor o-ring leak on my Accord. They were polite and finished in good time.There were some resulting complications, but after talking with the manager Chris, they really helped me diagnose and fix the problem. I can tell they care about customer satisfaction.Would strongly recommend this place if youre looking for a reliable and respectful service.

The best place for tires and service

They used to be good. Not anymore. Extremely overcharged ($300 for a battery that I replaced for $150), misdiagnosed (around $1000 for unneeded spark plugs and caps?), had to return repeatedly because problem not fixed. Was treated poorly, ignored, spoken down to every time I had to go back. Never again. So disappointing.

I just recently bought tires here 3 months ago and am so disappointed that they dont warranty their tires. I spent $450+ and my tire blew yesterday. The tire pressure light came on and 2 min later (before I had a chance to pull over safely and check the tire pressure) the tire had already blew. I had a spare put on and brought the damaged tire in my trunk to Lloyds and they wont cover the charge of my tire. They are making me pay $200 for a new tire. Not only am I disappointed I have to pay for the cost of a new tire here but I was misquoted the second I walked through the door. The guy who helped me at the desk told me this visit would be free of charge today which turned into $200. Huge difference! I will not be coming here in the future and am writing this to save someone the terrible experience.

I had a slow leak in my tire and their Sister store, where I purchased my tires, were super busy and was told to go here.I was helped as soon as I pulled in and was treated with what I believe were smiles under the COVID masks.A nail was found and I was on my way quickly for under $30.Very good experience and I recommend them to y’all!!Today, 3 days later, the same tire was slowly losing air again.The Manager Jose showed me a small piece of metal and small nail in the tire.He got me out in a flash and didn’t charge me.Bless you, Jose!Please check them out and you will not be disappointed!😃

I only recommend this place for their tire services.I would not go here again nor recommend this place to any of my friends for any other sort of non-tire car issues or maintenance. I had issues with my turn signals. They charged me $140 to diagnose the issue and wanted to charge me an additional $140 for another hour of diagnostic time because they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. I googled my issue and easily realized the turn signal flasher needed to be replaced. This issue is SIMPLE and it costs $14 for a new part at AutoZone. I think mechanics should be paid for their labor, but $280 dollars to diagnose this simple issue... I can not in good conscience recommend this shop.

This place is no longer Lloyd’s, which had a reputation for integrity and value. They answer their phone as Lloyd’s, and it still says Lloyd’s on the sign outside, but they are actually doing business as TireChoice. I called the day before, asked about tires and mileage warranty, and went in the next day to get my tires; no one during that process mentioned the warranty. When I checked my invoice later, the warranty mileage said ZERO. When I called to ask why that was, I was told the warranty was extra. I’ve been buying my own tires for about 50 years now, and I’ve never been told that the tires don’t come with a warranty. Shady operation-I’ll be calling Goodyear in the morning to file a complaint. Beware of this business!UPDATE TO REVIEW-The manager of Tire Choice reached out to me today and wanted to make things right. I called, went in and they changed out the tires I was given with the correct tires. No extra charge-Original review stands; what happened, happened. But I’m very happy with how they responded-

Lloyds used to be the best tire shop in Santa Cruz but, since the owners sold it the service, communication and quality of repairs have all suffered. Time and cost estimates are way off, repairs are not done right, and they dont even return phone calls! Take your are somewhere else!

These folks are great! I needed a couple of rims and tires for my commuter car that didn’t break the bank and Jeff found exactly what I asked for. He’s also kinda funny. They came in on time and I was able to get them installed in less than an hour (on a drop in). Super helpful, budget friendly and great to work with.

Fast, very nice, fair price.

My car broke down and so I had it towed here. They asked for 170 dollars for a diagnosis. Since towing cost me almost as much I conceded to this highway robbery. They proceeded to do a very simple check that took them 10 minutes at most. To no one’s surprise my starter was dead. They asked for an additional 750 dollars to replace it. Feel free to look it up, that is significantly higher than the upper estimates for a starter replacement.I asked if I can bring in my own starter, the answer was obviously no, because then they can’t sell it to me at a huge mark up.I got quotes from other auto shops nearby and found rene’s which was willing to do the exact same operation with the exact same starter model for 550. It was cheaper for me to tow my car again from this auto shop to another one to do the same procedure.I’m sure they do a good job of repairing vehicles, but their prices are ridiculous, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they marked things up higher since they knew my car was stuck with them.Unless you are happy burning cash instead of firewood just because it gets the job done, I would not recommend coming here. They should be ashamed.

I ordered tires from a website and had them delivered to the shop to be installed. There was a little confusion with the price I was quoted from the website I got the tires from and what LIoyds gave me but the staff worked out quickly and without any drama. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone who asks and working with them again in the future. Great job.

The workers here are always very friendly and helpful. Any question I ask is taken seriously, they are always happy to explain if Im unfamiliar with a type of car issue or what work may need to be done, and they are honest about when I should buy the higher quality part and when its unnecessary. On top of all of this, they do not talk down to me for being a female young-adult who is not super knowledgeable about fixing cars. It is hard to find a car shop that treats me seriously and does great work. Thank you for all that you do for me, Lloyds team!

The people That work here are always prompt and professional, very polite and welcoming. They have a good organization who gets the job done. I can’t say I have ever been disappointed with this tire installation company. Everyone seems to care about keeping the client happy. The bathrooms are clean, the waiting room is very inviting and comforting, there’s a place you can actually continue to work if you’re taking time away from your busy schedule, they have fresh coffee and soft drinks and bottled water in a refreshment area for your convenience. The only thing I was a little surprised at recently but I would not take it away from their service, was I recently went there to have my tires aligned, They were unable to complete the job because an issue with some ball joints and cushions, when they return the they were unable to complete the job because an issue with some ball joints and cushions, when they return the car to me and told me they could not do the job they charge me $50. Next time, my only recommendation to someone in the organization to let the client know if you’re going to charge an inspection fee before the customer finds out at the very end. I brought my car here for a diagnostics test which ended up revealing thousands of dollars of damage (rodent damage and wear and tear of a 15 year old VW). The customer service at Lloyds is incredible. They are happy and willing to spend atleast half an hour on the phone explaining the detailed inspection of your car and answering any questions you have. I highly recommend. Unfortunately cant afford any fixes right now, but its great to have a team of professionals passionate about auto care and details.

Lloyd’s is great! I love it that they don’t just do tires, like Costco, but they can also change your oil, do your brakes, alignments and many other services. I have a lot of confidence in the owner and all his employees. It’s really great to have a good place to take your car.

Best place in town. Ive had a lot of problems with my car recently and have been in and out of there for the last month or so and they always are super kind, professional, and fast. They do not overcharge you for things which is why I keep going back over and over again. Tyler specifically is who I worked with and he has excellent customer service, and even though I called a ton, he never seemed impatient with me, lol

I got home and found a nail in my tire and called them to see when they could take me in. It was a Saturday and they told me first come first server as long as I am in before 11 (they close at noon on Saturdays).I got in a little before 11 and never felt rushed and these guys were done very fast. There is a nice waiting area and you can always stroll around the hardware store across the street. These guys were super fast, friendly, and had great pricing. I will definitely continue doing my business here.

These guys busted out 8 tires for me super quickly right before a holiday weekend, I knew it was bad timing and they killed it! I was shocked when they called so quick and they did everything perfectly. One note is they did come in around 50 bucks higher than everyone else but they were able to do it same day when the others didnt even want to try. These guys deserved the 50 extra for the attidue and effort :) top notch service means I will definitely be a return customer!

Extremely professional. There may be cheaper prices elsewhere but they offer high quality service. If you just want the cheap corporate experience where you cease to exist as soon as you pay, go somewhere else. But, if you want your work done right the first time, this is the place for you.

I took my car in to get the AC re-charged. They tried to talk me into paying for an expensive diagnostic but I was fairly certain that I just needed a re-charge so I declined. Then they called me and told me that the AC wasn’t working after re-charging, again pushing the diagnostics. I declined again. I picked my car up, and surprise surprise- the AC has been working great. Scammers!!

The days of complimentary flat repair are long gone. Replaced by concerns about liability.I cant ever recall having a flat tire that cant be repaired, now its frequently brought up. Conveniently, this takes a free customer loyalty service to a $200+ tire replacement.I guess if this is the game now, Lloyds is the most professional and prompt service in Santa Cruz.

Ive been going to Lloyds Tire Service for decades, ever since they saved me one Thanksgiving Eve (fixing a tire as I was about to travel to my relatives)! They are extremely friendly, courteous, and conscientious. They do great work, and stand behind it. Its reassuring to find a repair shop that has integrity, and is completely trustworthy. I highly recommend them!

Chris was great about checking my car.The two things that really irritated me were:1 They found nothing wrong with my car. That was ok. What was bad is that they didn’t tell me until 1:30 in the afternoon. I live in Aptos and had to fight traffic both ways. I had to call Chris because he hadn’t got back to me yet. I brought the car in at 8:30 with an appointment I made.2 I asked where my car was and they said it was behind the building by the railroad tracks!I got to my car and saw a bunch people standing around with their car door open.I have a mustang that I cherish and was so glad I didn’t get a door ding.Also having a single woman have to go back there to get her car alone is outrageous! I did not feel safe!I normally don’t give bad reviews. I know you are busy. You just need to take care of your customers a little better.

They are professional, honest and always easy to deal with. I have had other mechanics tell me something is wrong with my car. I took it to Loyds after and they told me the car was fine. Ever time I have had to had work done on my car, they always do a great job very quickly.The charge a little extra than other auto shops but worth every penny for the piece of mind.

On our road trip from southwest Washington to my nephews wedding in Carlsbad we we unfortunate enough to encounter brake trouble..We were most fortunate in choosing Lloyds to help us out. Even though they were booked for the day they worked us in and our brakes were fixed by 4:30 enabling us to continue on our journey without having to give up a full day of travel. They were great. They knew we were from out of town and yet they treated us as valuable customers. The gal in the office even gave us directions for shopping and sightseeing.
