This review is for Terra Dispirito.TERRA BURNED MY SCALP GIVING ME A PERMANENT BALD SPOTI had a nightmare experience with Terra Dispirito. I wanted to dye my hair silver/grey while keeping the roots dark. My cousin shelled out over $350 to pay for the appointment. She has a chill personality when you first meet her and seemed very nice throughout my appointment. Turns out shes just incompetent amateur. When Terra began adding her bleach solution to my hair and wrapping it in foil it started to get hot. I calmly asked her if it was supposed to burn and she inspected it and didnt see anything wrong. She didnt believe me. It started to BURN and caused me to start yelling in pain with tears streaming down my face. She rushed me to the sink and removed everything. She felt the foil and said it was extremely hot. The burning stopped but I now had that same spot pulsing with pain. Terra said it looked pink. She gave me ibuprofen and some ice packs to put on the spot and apologized profusely. I knew that it was an accident so I was not mad at her. I was more concerned about why it hurt so badly and why it was still hurting. Her bleach solution reacted badly. Eventually the ibuprofen kicked in and we proceeded with the appointment. She took caution around the burn and dyed my hair differently than what I originally wanted to avoid causing me more pain. The next day Terra texted me asking how the burn was. I told her the pain had subsided. Then later I emailed her telling her the spot now became a big scab. She acknowledged it in the email and apologized again. Eventually the scab healed and as it sloughed off the hair there fell out with it. I was horrified but people assured me it would grow back 6 months - 1 year minimum. When it didnt grow back in that time frame I started using topical creams and oils. Each treatment states that it takes a few months to work so I used them and waited for results. When I exhausted my options, I emailed Terra asking if she had any advice or suggestions on how to fix it. I had heard about microblading, new topical oils, hair extensions etc and had wanted to see if she knew of anything considering shes a hair professional. She tried to tell me I had alopecia. When I told her its not she still pushed and said it was. That behavior is called gaslighting (a manipulation tactic abusers use to cause self doubt in the victim). She then contacted my cousin (who is very aware of her burning me) and tried to claim that I was lying and denied ever burning me.I cannot believe this woman. She burned me causing PERMANENT damage and is now trying to lie about it ever happening. I have texts, I have emails, I have pictures, I have people who have seen the entire duration of its progression. I cannot understand why shes lying now when all I asked her was for help trying to fix it. The statute of limitations for this situation has run out. She has no reason to lie. If I wanted to sue her (which I should have) I would have done it then when people were advising me to do so. I naively told them I wouldnt because it was an accident, she was apologetic, and seemed willing to work with me to fix it. Had I known then that she was a liar and would pull this type of behavior I would have taken a different course of action. Its a bald spot at the crown of my head so no matter how I part my hair it shows. To rule out alopecia I went to see three different dermatologists. All three confirmed it was a bald spot secondary to a burn. One doctor said wow she burnt the hell out of you explaining she burnt me so badly that scar tissue had formed over, meaning I am permanently bald. The only way to fix it is to get a hair transplant that will cost $4000.The moral of the story is dont go to Terra. If you can afford her, you can afford someone better. This woman is incompetent, dishonest, disgraceful, and has no integrity or class.
