There were a total of 2 technicians that came by. The first one told me that he fixed the issue but an hour after he left, the problem had not been resolved. I called back and was told that theyd order a new part for the ice dispenser that wasnt working. It took over 1 month for the part to arrive. Then, I received a call (via voicemail) asking if the technician could arrive 2-3 hours from when the call was made. I listened to the message 30 minutes after it was left when I heard someone at my door. It was the Sears technician. I wasnt ready for them, as I was cleaning house, but allowed him to come in since my dispenser had been out of order for quite some time. In the end, he did fix the issue. Thank goodness.

For the first service call, the technician did not arrive within the four hour window. I called Sears and they determined he would be late and arrived an hour and a half later. What happened to calling the customer when you anticipate being late? Technician arrived and said he had no part for the water heater repair even though I clearly told Sears that burner replacement was needed. So he left and stated he would call Monday. He didnt. I called Sears again and they gave me an appointment for 2 days Later. I asked them to send a different technician because the first one sounded sick and said he was a technician, not a maintenance repair guy. They promised they would send someone else. On the day of my appointment, the technician again did not show up within the four hours. I called Sears and they said he would be late. When he arrived, it was the same technician from the first time. He did the repair satisfactorily. I have a maintenance contract which I may not be renewing. I suspect that repairs where no money is involved get less priority.

I HAVE HAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH THE SEARS PROTECTION PLAN. THEY HAVE BEEN OUT TO REPAIR MY REFRIGERATOR FOUR TIMES AND HAVE REPLACED JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING ON THE REFRIGERATOR.. FOUR MONTHS LATER AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE A WORKING REFRIGERATOR. THEY SHOULD HAVE JUST REPLACED THE UNIT.. BUT NO.. THEY HAVE LEFT ME WITHOUT A WORKING REFRIGERATOR FOR FOUR MONTHS AND THEY NOW HAVE FINALLY DETERMINED IT WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED... BUT WHEN I CALL THE NUMBER PROVIDED I AM PUT ON HOLD FOR HOURS...AFTER HOLDING FOR NEAR THREE HOURS I FINALLY THINK SOMEONE IS GOING TO ANSWER, BUT NO... I AM HUNG UP ON! SO AS OF TODAY, I STILL HAVE NO WORKING REFRIGERATOR AND I DO NOT EVEN KNOW TO GET A HOLD OF THEM TO SEND A REPLACEMENT. THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE AND THE WARRANTY I PURCHASED IS USELESS!

We have been having issues with our cook top and the refrigerator stopped working all the sudden (and were in the middle of a pandemic)! The technician has been out couple of times and nothing is done yet. July 2nd we had an appointment for repair between 8 and 12 the technician arrived 1:30. He did not even touch the cook top and he even said it “ I do not want to touch/fix this”. But on the document when I called he said the job was completed! July 27th we had an appointment for repair again between 8-12 we wait all day and the guy doesn’t show up. When I called A plus the operator was so rude. they claimed it’s our fault for not calling! It is my job to call them and remind them that they have a repair to do! At 1:46 I get an email that the appointment was canceled! Very funny that they initially said we don’t have an appoint scheduled and then they send an email that it was canceled! So I called sears literally 16 times to figure out what happened I was on the phone for over three hours. representative keep transferring me from one to another. No one knew what to do. Very unprofessional! Bad service from sears and horrible service from the repair company, it is by far the worst I had to deal with! Sears used to be one of the best services but that had all changed sadly!

Tech was fantastic. But Sears is way overbooked. This Refrigerator stopped working in JUNE. It took Sears over a month to send a tech to complete the THIRD repair. I have little confidence this will work. Sears habitually over schedules, cancels at the last minute and then reschedules weeks or nearly a month away. Quality of Techs is great. But scheduling requires adequate resources or effective schedule management. Why not leave a window to catch up on missed appointments? It was a BIG FAILURE by Sears. If an appliance last nearly 20 years that is great but you need to back up your ADS!!!!~

Having a warranty with Sears is worth it but can be very frustrating. They must give out warranties to everyone...I have a Bosch refrigerator warrantied through Sears...usually get an appointment 5 days from when you call in...Sears does not carry parts for appliances they do not sell so then you need to wait for the part to arrive at your house via shipping. Then you can make an appointment to make the repair which will take another 5 business day. All in all youre are waiting two weeks to fix the appliance since Sears does not hold the parts needed for specialty items (Bosch). With not having a fridge for two weeks you are stuck eating out a lot. They do reimburse for lost food but they only cover food items and no condiments or drinks. In the end I still lose money. If you own an appliance they service regularly it may be different but expect delayed repairs with specialty appliances.In the past 5 months I have had to have my refrigerator serviced 3 times and since Sears hands out warranties like ice trays they are not contracting independent service men/women so this is actually a plus. You only speak with that repair man and they will contact you when parts are ready and service appointments. Now if they could hire customer service people who work in the US

Although we have a warranty, the first scheduled date someone could look at the washer was 8 days out. We use this washer for our business every single day. Customer service neglected to mention that washer rental was covered on our warranty until after I asked. After I made arrangements for the rental, I was notified a technician would be out in 2 days. Cancelled the rental at that time. When technician arrived, he was (while I wouldnt say rude, definitely not friendly). We were quickly told that parts would take 5-10 business days with the time starting the following Monday. Reordered the rental. We are at day 5 now and have not had any updates. While we are glad the service appointment was moved forward, the entire experience thus far has not been satisfactory.

Our technician Scott was so attentive, on time and did a real thorough job completing maintenance on our appliances.Love this maintenance plan they have, every year they come out and check all of the appliances and double check all in good running condition. This way we don’t have to worry about maybe having to buy a new appliance cause something wore out.Love Sears repair! Keep up th good work

Horrible process! I have yet another appointment scheduled this week for the same issue. I have had Sears coming to look at my dryer since mid-March. Its still not working properly. Since then, technicians have taken the dryer off the plastic feet that help it stay level, put kinks in the dryer duct, which now I have to replace because its outside of the warranty, loosened the gas connection, causing me to have to schedule a Gas Company visit because I thought it was a leak. So far the best advice Ive received is to use smaller loads (which I did and it still not dry) and dry for longer period. Whats the point of having a warranty if its going to take at least 6 months to get my appliance to work properly? Are you just waiting for the warranty to run out? I cant keep taking time off of work to deal with the same issue!

I needed someone to come and do the yearly maintenance check on my fridge & to check an intermittent issue with my washer. Frank arrived and was great! He took care of my fridge like no other tech has! He even removed the front bottom panel in order to be able to get in & clean it out better. No one has done that before. 👍🏼👍🏼 in my book!I think he went above & beyond- if only they all were like that!

On April 28th my $3400 Kenmore Elite quit on me just shy of 5 years. We all knew it was the poor quality LG compressor, yet it took 6 weeks to finally get around the bureaucracy and poor customer service to get my parts ordered(Which arrived in 3 days). The compressor was installed and the service completed on June 12th. I will never buy from Sears again!

First repairman did not show up for the first appointment and gave no advance notice of that. Same repairman, made it to the 2nd appointment a week later. He diagnosed the problem; said we needed two replacement parts, one of which had to be ordered. He submitted the order but put in an incomplete address so the part did not make to us within 2 weeks when the 3rd appointment was scheduled for. I had to track down the package, and go to a UPS location to pick the part up and made a 4th appointment for repair. The 2nd repairman came this time, installed the new parts and the dishwasher still did not work. He did some on the phone consultation to discover that there was one small burned out wire. Replacing that wire fixed the problem. And We probably never needed the new parts. I am glad that the dishwasher is fixed and the 2nd guy was very professional. But the whole process took many weeks and was frustrating. I chose to leave the new parts in which cost me money I probably did not need to spend.

Service technician arrived on time as scheduled. This is appreciated because we cant wait all day for someone to show up. Technician diagnosed the problem quickly and replaced fan assembly and control panel. He had parts with him so there was no waiting or ordering items or having to schedule another appointment. Technician was courteous and easy to understand. He explained the problem and then fixed it quickly. We bought the extended service contract awhile ago and it was well worth it because all repairs and service were covered. Highly recommend this technician and the service!

Our LG refrigerator, only 1 1/2 years old, quit on July 14, 2017. Sears could not provide an appointment with a technician until July 24, 2017. That technician ordered a new compressor and scheduled an appointment to install it on August 11, 2017. When that technician did not show up, I called Sears and was told the part was back ordered. After a frustrating string of phone calls over the next three weeks, the part finally arrived on September 1, 2017. Sears promised priority service once the part was received. They did not move up the service date for installation once the part arrived. LG is responsible for the delay in shipping the compressor, but Sears did not keep us updated with correct and current information. Sears could not provide a technician to install the part until September 11, 2017. A family of 5 cannot live without a refrigerator. We had to buy an additional refrigerator to place in the garage in the mean time. Sears kept telling us different dates for the back ordered part, telling me I had already received the part, which I had not, and making many appointments for service, which they then cancelled and rescheduled. Our calls were consistently transferred to different Customer Service people, some times as many as four per call. We have a very expensive Appliance Service Contract with Sears at a cost of $85.82 per MONTH. Sears Repair Solutions boasts Check For Same Day Repair. We could not get service in less than 10 days after our call for service. Misleading advertising.

Overall, smooth transaction; technician arrived timely, was knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Entire washing machine service lasted less than 30 minutes. Only caveat (took off a point), technicians should consider bringing along booties shoe covers on each service, especially on rainy days. I had to provide the technician with booties I keep on hand for such occasions.

The Good: Technicians arrived on time, professional, quick diagnoses, repair, cleaned up after, courteous.The Not So Good: The most aggravating thing about Sears Home Repair is the waiting time for a visit. It is unacceptable for the owner of a maintenance/warranty plan to have to wait a week for a visit. I have played with your system and found that if I call in as a non-customer for emergency service, Sears responds next day. Sears needs to take better care of its own. Seems once you are in the system, Sears feels they do not have to expend the time or caring on existing customers. Because of this, we are doubtful we will ever buy Sears again.

Terrible customer service because there is NO communication between departments. Im still trying to obtain a credit that Im due for parts that I paid for, but were NOT installed and the technician took back with him. Luckily, I made the technician give me a receipt for the gaskets that were NOT installed. Today, Ive spent over 30 minutes on hold, from the Claims Dept., to the Warranty Dept. and now I am to await the Billing Dept. to contact me within a week so that they can tell me about my credit. What a farse! No, I wouldnt recommend Sears Warranty to anyone.

The technicians are great! The scheduling process not good. Reaching them by phone is ridiculously difficult. They do have chat though which is prompt. 2 out of 3 attempts to schedule on Chat were rough though. If its possible to convey an attitude through Chat (and we all know IT IS - get my drift?) then these folks are good at conveying said attitude :-/ The third Chat experience was very good though.Also, Sears extended warranty protection, which we have, had Saturday appointments available when we bought it. Not any more! They have discontinued Saturday appointments - Im sure as a cost cutting move as Sears is struggling to survive in the internet buying age. So, as a couple who both work regular jobs we have to take at least a half day off to get service (4 hour morning or afternoon appointment windows). Saving money for Sears is, Im sure, important (and I hope they survive as a company!) but it shouldnt be done in areas where customer service is so adversely affected, in my humble opinion.Sooooo, as I said at the beginning of this review, both technicians we have had were terrific, knowledgeable and professionally polite and respectful (thanks Francisco and Juan!). Sears, however, needs to brush up on their overall customer service experience.

Repair work was done to my satisfaction, but way overpriced according to the time it took to do the work, and the listed price of the part used. Next time call a local repairman, so you wont get ripped off. $299.00 for a $50.00 part and a repair time of about 45 minutes CCCC

This was a reoccurring problem with this refrigerator (ER IF). I called for service and was told it would be a week before I could get service. I asked for a supervisor and moved this up to 2 days. The tech came out and knew the problem as this is an inherent problem with many LG (Kenmore Elite) refrigerators. Sears needs more, qualified, service technicians. I gave 5 stars to the technician that showed up, not to Sears service. 2 days should be the max to get service.

I have no choice but to select a star in order to rate this horrible service! The experience was terrible as usual with Sears Repair. The technician this last visit was rude, condescending and had zero customer service skills and empathy to a customer who has been run around after purchasing a very expensive refrigerator.... and a month later it breaks down not only to see that the stores all closed as well! We could not return the refrigerator as it was over the return period by a few days. They said we can return it in the store!!!! To which we drove there and pulled in to see that the windows were boarded up and it was closed! Never ever ever ever purchase from Sears! Also, be aware the the technicians do not follow protocol, do not want to do the work they are assigned, lack in knowledge on how to repair the appliances. In addition, the technician can be found in his/her truck sitting not doing anything, not text you that they are on the way to your home, and try to sneak up to your door and put a note stating Sorry We Missed You! I witnessed this all the last visit with the same technician who continued to find reasons he could not fix my appliance when he came to my home taking us over a month to finally have the date for him to come as we finally did all he wanted us to from unplugging our appliance to letting it thaw out as there was ice build up!! He said he did not want to use his defroster because it would take too much time on one visit!!!When I opened my door to his surprise I was standing there watching him do all of this from the inside of my home, he said I rang your doorbell 3xs and knocked 3xs ! I said did you now?! I said can you do me a favor and ring the bell for me really quick. He did and I did so to prove that my doorbell is sooooo loud that the neighbors could probably hear it coupled with the fact my dog barks like a crazy if anyone knocks or rings the doorbell.I could continue as the complaints with Sears and their technicians can continue all day at this point!! Trust me when I say stay away from Sears.

The technician arrived at the time proposed. He was very professional and explained to us what he had done. He had some concern about the outside vent which opens through a neighbor,s wall which we did not have access to. I have since located the vent secured access and deemed it to be clear. I do not appreciate the fact that I can not speak with someone in the Unied States. I can not understand there English and they refuse to connect me to someone in the US. I feel this is not acceptable and custumer should have a choice to do this. They were not friendly or respectul of my request. Poor Customer serice as far as rounting all call to the Phillipines.

Repaired fine Tech. ordered 2 $300.00 parts telling he not sure which one bad.New Tech. replaces both without testing. Cost almost $700.00 to repair a $600.00 dishwasher . Then took away (bad) parts I think this was a ripoff

Our serviceman gave us a 4 hour window when we called and then the next day for service he texted he would be there within the first hour. He fixed 3 problems efficiently in less than an hour. Because we pay $100 a year for extended warranty on a 13 year old refrigerator, there was no charge for almost $400 of work (they now give you a printout of what it WOULD have cost if you didnt have the agreement.)

Ive been trying to get my washing machine repaired since late April... its now May 30th, and the machine is still not repaired. After DOZENS of phone calls to Sears Protection Agreements Dept., then to Sears Escalations, I am still awash in the miasma of a total circus of incompetence.Speaking to Sears telephone representatives found me talking to them on a A is for apple, B is for ball level, they would still consistently read back to me what I had told them incorrectly. If I said, On the 21st I had an appointment... they would reply with Yes sir, the 22nd. Maddening in the extreme. Finally, on two separate occasions I asked to speak to a manager as I wished to make a formal complaint and ended up on hold, whereupon - surprise! - both times I was disconnected and the call dropped. One rep told me my machine had been repaired and my case closed. One person told me they couldnt look into my issue further until the repairman had been to the house and made his determinations; I told him the repairman had been to the house yesterday which he had trouble comprehending.One appointment was not kept (I took a day off work for it) at all, one appointment where the repairman turned up and only looked at my dryer - after Id taken great pains to make it clear to Sears that he was to service two machines; my washer and my dyer - he then refused to look at the washer as it wasnt on his work order, one appointment where the repairman made his diagnosis and left - whereupon in the following two days Sears never heard back from him with any notes regarding his diagnosis & recommendations... this put me back to square one . How many Sears (and/or 3rd party contractors) does it take to change light bulb? Answer: a lot.Sears had been sending me repairmen from their 3rd party contractor. I tried to point out to Sears that, effectively, they were paying the contractor to ruin Sears reputation and make their customers angry.I ultimately managed some traction when I spoke to the Overflow Dept. and a gentleman saw the copious notes on my account and decided this needed bumping up to the level of District Manager. A Sears repairman came out, made his verdict, ordered some parts, and now Im waiting for parts to arrive... at which point Ill have to make another appointment for someone to come out and install them.Trust me, theres much much more to all this but you get the picture. The whole system is a joke. In the past, Ive bought every appliance from Sears; oven, cooktop, fridges, dishwasher, washer, dryer, water heater, but no more. If an item goes down on me, I dont want to have to haggle and nag to have it repaired in a remotely reasonable time frame.I really dont believe this spectacular display of incompetence is unique to me, it must be endemic. So, beware.

Technician Peter is very nice, and he spent a lot of time here – seemed fine that day. but the next day it was again making odd dropping noises, and im frankly concerned its still leaking. or leaking again. so i made another service appointment – my third in one months time – and it will be another 10 days until you can come again? im not sure why i pay extra for the warranty if it takes so long to get you to come here, and THREE TIMES and not fixed. very disappointed.

Botched repair. Going on 4 months from initial problem to fighting to get someone out to repair the botched job. First appointment (dianostic) in September, second appointment (1st, botched repair) on October 1st. Third appointment (2nd botched repair, apparently tried to undo damage without replacing part damaged by first repair.) on October 11th. After a great deal of frustration dealing with appointment center and other Sear’s contact numbers, I finally got a response and 4th appointment for diagnostic through social media. 5th appointment scheduled for November 27th to allow parts to be delivered. Informed by tech to call in when parts arrive to get appointment for repair before Thanksgiving if parts arrive in time. Parts arrived within a week, as instructed, call in to schedule appointment to have refrigerator before family arrived for the holiday. Instead of a appointment before Thanksgiving, they now set a appointment for December 7th and to be honest, I am desperately praying to have my refrigerator by Christmas. I can not shop any of the sales for Thanksgiving and have no idea how I will provide my family meals during this holiday season because of Sear’s.

Was eager to get a quote from my all-time favorite Sears store, only to be let down with a overly high priced estimate, and no Price Match Guarantee as offered through their sales representative.Not only could they not compete on comparable systems (16 SEER Lennox vs Sears Kenmore line) but went so far as to disparage the company that provided the lower quote saying it was impossible to match.Dont waste your time getting a quote, you will more then likely have the same experience. I thought Sears had more integrity then this. Wont be fooled again.

Terrible experience. Sears has terrible customer service. The third party they hired to fix the Kenmore refrigerator never returned a phone call. Sears couldnt even get an answer out of them. Sears customer service promised they would call me back with updates but I was the one having to call them for updates every three days. I offered to pay extra to have the parts shipped overnight from wherever they were just to end the over month long misery( over a month to get a compressor ). I paid for the extended warranty when we purchased the refrigerator and the fridge is 1 year and 1 month old. I guess I know why Sears is going out of business. As far as Kenmore goes well were not impressed 3 service calls and its not considered a lemon because two were regarding the ice maker. I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING ELSE FROM SEARS EVERLY AGAIN.

Repairman quoted refrigerator repair at $220. I produced a discount coupon for 20% off repairs and price magically jumped to $257. Repair was completed and seems to be working, however practice like this I expect from a small independent repair service but not from Sears. Sears will work on your appliance even if you didnt purchase it from them. I have a 3 year old Samsung french door bottom freezer with two ice makers. I did not purchase the extended warranty which is a huge mistake. We have a great appliance repairman that is super reasonable. When we called him about both ice makers going out, he said he refused to work on a Samsung as Samsung will not stand behind their product...especially this one.Sears came out and after two visits repaired it. They are high tech and you can always tell within 30-40 minutes when they will arrive. Great job.

After the technician installed the new compressor, it never turned on.The refrigerator is worse now, then what is was before the installation, for 3 days now freezer has been at 70 degrees and Sears does not follow up on there work now I have to wait another week before a technician can come out. I have been without a refrigerator for about a mouth now. Sears services is not very professional.

I originally called to schedule service for my ice maker. I called Sears and spoke with a woman. She asked me questions regarding the problem. She scheduled an appt for a week and a half later. The day of the service, I received a call to confirm the appt for a routine annual service of my refrigerator. I told them it was for my ice maker, not routine service. I was told the service person scheduled to come could not perform that service & to reschedule. I was upset. Called Sears and was hung up on 4 times even after talking to a supervisor. I have been with Sears since 1970 and did not feel I should have been treated that way. Finally my last call I talked with Ethan & asked him not to hang up on me. He assured he would not & transferred me to a tech of which I convinced them to order a new ice maker and schedule an appt at this time, instead of waiting for the tech to come out to diagnose the problem, order the part, wait for it to come to my home & then schedule an appt. By that time, i would have been without my ice maker for about 6 wks. No good Sears repair practice. The new ice maker was ordered and I received it by UPS about 3 days later. Still had to wait another for 1 1/2 wks to get a tech to come out. The tech came, took about 15 mins to replace and another 15 to be sure it cooled and worked well.. The tech was great and this is the kind of repair service I have gotten over the year. It seems to me as big as Sears is and the number of people needing jobs, they would be able to keep enough repair person to not to have to wait so long for repairs. They are very happy to take my money for the contracts and to purchase products and services. Thank you for reading this and if you have had problems, it might be good to do what I have done to get them going in the right direction.I usually do not write about this stuff but in this case, enough was enough. I just want to see Sears stay around for a long time.

The microwave was covered under a service agreement and I am extremely pleased with the service I received! Due to the weight of the microwave two servicemen arrived for the repair on Wednesday, November 4th. The servicemen attempted to repair the microwave, but determined that it was not repairable. I received a call shortly after they left and was given instructions for a replacement microwave. The following day I visited my local Sears store and with the help of Devinder Rohewal, member solutions consultant, I chose a replacement microwave that would fit in the space overy my range and was close to the store credit amount I was quoted over the phone. He told me that there would be no charge for the delivery and installation. On Friday, I received a call from ATI to set up an appointment to install the microwave the following day. On Saturday the installer arrived during the window of time specified and installed the appliance within a reasonable amount of time. It was a perfect fit! It only took three days to get a replacement microwave that looks beautiful in our kitchen and has all the features we need.

I have a service agreement. Should be called a service disagreement. They make appointments they dont keep, they make appointments and are late; they send tech repair people who say they are qualified; their call centers drop calls more frequently than raindrops in a thunderstorm. This is worst example of doing business.
