This is the sort of shop every town needs. But not everyone is made for retail. I went in a month ago to buy a watch; I like to buy local. I told the owner what I wanted. He showed me 4 watches. When I told him why each wasnt what I wanted, he said I guess you just dont want to buy a watch and walked away. So I bought a watch on line and got what I wanted.Then I needed it sized. I thought, Mr Bayside was just having a bad day. So I went back to get it sized. He worked on it for a few minutes in a frenzied and anxious state, then handed me the watch and said $25 dollars. The price was fair but I hadnt even tried it on. It wasnt right. He had removed too many links. Then he took 10 minutes trying to find the links he had just removed. He hammered away and gave it back to me. Still wasnt right. He says I dont have all day to mess with this, thats as good as it will get, twenty five dollars. I walked out irritated but not willing to engage. I went down the street to Posh Jewelers where I was greeted by a smile, the watch sized in 5-10 minutes and charged $18. I paid the guy $25 happily. I dont understand how Baysides owner thinks this grumpy approach is going to work. I wont be back.

This is the kind of business that I pray to the universe will never go away. We really need to support these locally owned shops they are a dying breed. Please buy a watch or goods at your locally owned store. Added value in years of experience and expertise. When folks shop on Amazon and at big biz they are undermining our local merchants. Came here to get a new watch and found one that was cheaper than I saw at Macy’s. He even gave me an extra band. Super friendly and made me feel comfortable about buying a watch.I also brought my other watch to resize and get a battery changed and he did it for me while I was waiting and for a reasonable price. This is one of the few places left in Santa Barbara where you can get watches repaired expertly, reliably, and at a fair price. They also have a nice variety of watches and clocks for sale. They sell a small amount of other jewelry, too, mostly earrings. I really appreciate the fact that it is a truly local shop where you get attentive personal service.

Small watch shop located in the la cumbre shopping center. Specializes in watches but has some jewelry for sale. Broad selection of watches for sale and he does his own repairs. Quick battery replacement. Easy parking in the La Cumbre center. He is a really nice person who knows his watches! He does all of his own work and will fix it on the first try.

I took my 60+ years old watch that my dad had given my mom and it hadnt worked for at least 20 years...i took it to bayside watch - they said to pick it up in 3-4 weeks - my husband and i went 4 weeks later: well?...it is just as new - it looks great! it works perfectly! we recommend bayside watch A+++++

I am more than pleased! I purchased a Casio watch as a gift and was having a difficult time adjusting the band as it seemed like the adjuster was sticking and not closing. Sarkis walked me thru the fix over G+ messenger and I didnt even have to go into the store! It was even after business hours. Excellent customer service!

These guys are amazing. I have been a customer here for at least 5 years. Great selection and they do watch batteries in minutes! I brought a Breitling in and $30 later I had a battery that would have cost $250 from a Breitling shop, installed in minutes! Highly recommend!

You dont find integrity like this very often. I went in to get a free watch band adjustment. He made a mistake and slightly bent a small pin. He promptly and without arguement or complaint produced a check for 250$ for a new watch band! Just wow! Like i said, you dont find integrity like this very often. Thank you !

I went in to replace the battery in my Casio watch. Very friendly service, reasonable price for the battery, and he even buffed out the scratches on the face of the watch for free! 10/10 would recommend.

Walked in needing a battery for my watch. The gentleman greets me immediately, says no problem its $18 and will be done in 10 min. Sweet. I go get a smoothie next door and when I come back, its done with the clock set and the watch cleaned. I say, dang you guys are on point! To which he replies, thats why they call me the pro. Haha. These guys are legit.
