Loved it!!! Excellent experience, nails well done and very reasonable pricing!!!!Edit: not even 2 days later my gel manicure was chipped and started peeling on at least half of my fingers, very disappointed by the quality of the gel manicure, but my pedicure still looks great though!!!
The staff was friendly and helped me with my first pedicure ever! They are very clean and made me feel welcome.
My feet were hurting when I came in from being on my feet today. Holly did my pedicure and gave the best foot massage I have ever had. Left walking on a cloud. Michelle did my gel manicure which was flawless. They were so kind and detail oriented!I have been here in the past and have always had the best service, results, and value! Comfortable chairs and a beautiful underwater mural on the wall! This is a great place to get a gift certificate for a friend or take a friend with you to get services while you are on State Street!
Worst 55$ I’ve ever spent on my nails! I asked for coffin shaped nails and got square. The color looked way different than it did on the color palette. The color I thought I was gonna get was a light pink with sparkles but instead got this ugly purple. I told the lady to change the shape and she said she would and she never did. I also asked why the color was different and she said “it’s not it’s the same.” She just wasn’t listening nor seemed like she cared about what I wanted. Thank you for doing a bad job.
They did a good job!! Love how my nails came out definitely will be coming here again! Very nice staff.
They are always so wonderful, I love going there!
I went in to get an acrylic nail fixed and the lady cut a chip of my real nail to the point where it was bleeding a decent amount. She did not clean the blood at all and then proceeded to put glue and a nail on top of my fresh cut.. when I made it clear that I no longer wanted to get the nail fixed, they still tried to convince me to stay. If I could put 0 stars then I would. Very unprofessional.
Would not recommend.I would definitely not return. The lady who did my manicure was extremely slow and barely touched my cuticles. It was clear that she didnt know how to remove gel polish and then charged $5 for it. She didnt even get it all off. She also didnt file my nails. See below the finishedproduct.
I went with my two friends for my birthday for a special spa day and it was worth every penny. They are reasonably priced, clean and have wonderful massage chairs and I loved my special treatment I got for my birthday. The staff is personable and super funny! The gentleman who did my feet put some cool extra stars and gems on my toes just for my birthday free of charge! I felt like a queen and we all had a blast! I am going there again for my friends birthday on Friday I cant wait!
Beautiful, clean salon with great service! They take their time and have mellow, pleasant music. Prices are inexpensive. Ive been to several different nail salons in Santa Barbara and this one is my favorite. :)
The employees here are very friendly, accommodating, and actually take pride in wanting to do great work. The guy painting my toes took his time and gave me an awesome massage, he even went in and cleaned around the edges. I highly recommend this salon. :)
Ive been going to Kim for acrylics for a little over a year now. Its the first nail salon Ive found myself just popping in to say hi. They take great care of you and really care about the work they send out the door. Everyone seems great there but I spend most all my time with Kim; she is an amazing artist and I would recommend her to everyone. clean and properly priced
++++BEWARE++++THESE PEOPLE CHARGE $1.00 FOR CREDIT CARD TRANSACTION! Avoid such places!I got a pedicure complete with red nail polish (Yea, Im a guy who enjoys having my feet look nice). The staff was friendly though they were speaking broken English. The chairs were very comfortable. The lady did a fairly good job on the pedicure, and a good paint job, too. The polish did bubble maybe because it was old (was a Christmas color.) Was not rushed out the door (30 minutes curing the nail color).I will not be returning because it seemed to me the staff was doing the job against their will. Ill visit a mainline salon next time Im in the area.
Good services
The staff provides the most consistently good pedicures in Santa Barbara. Ive had most of their aestheticians and some do not speak English very well, but they have a printed menu at each workstation that you can point to the services you require. Their fees are reasonable and they keep them that way by passing through a $1.00 fee when using a credit card, as is clearly stated on their menu upon checking in.
Terrible! I made an appointment for myself and three friends. When we sat in our chairs we had soaked our feet for at least 30 minutes before anyone came to start the pedicure. Two of my friends got up and left it was taking so long. The water was cold, I think there was not enough employees to help 4 people at one time. The employees seemed very distracted as well with so much chaos going on. It was not relaxing at all. I actually felt stressed out!!! I would never go back and I do not recommend this salon at all!!
If it was possible to leave 0 stars I would. This place is so awful. I got a set of dip nails with tips. 2 nails popped off in less than a week and all but 2 nails had the acrylic top cover peel back within 3 days of them getting done! On top of that, the owner, who did my nails used his dirty finger nails (literal dirt on them) to push down my nail bed while doing them and made my finger bleed all over the table...Ill repeat that. He got me WITH HIS NAIL. This place is a health hazard and scam. Never come here!
Quality service for my friend Paul, a viking named Bjorn, and his scuffed friend for just $56. Very polite. If you call when theyre busy, theyll pick up the phone and say, Nobody home!, but its worth trying again. Highly recommended.
I had to get my acrylic nails off and I have a naturally split nail on my pointer finger and one of the younger clerks was hurting me and she got frustrated so she asked the male clerk to do it and he did it more professionally and carefull. She seemed like she didn’t want to work and they are all on their phones. $10 at Kim nails it probably anywhere else. $15 plus $1 charge for card. My expired certificate was not pleasant and I will not be back.
Pedicure was quick and good but they didnt rush you out. The chairs are comfy. The spa pedicure was $25 plus tip. Good color selection.
I had a couple of good experience here and then something weird happened: got a pedi and the woman - sorry but her English was terrible - indicated to me that I needed to walk over to a counter by the front window. I had not done this ever before, and certainly not the previous times Id been in to Nu Image. I could not understand what she wanted me to do. She had finished putting the polish on my toes, they looked great. Shed added a flower on the big toes ($5 extra; they all talk you into the $5 flowers!!!) . I could not understand what she wanted me to do. I thought we were done. Finally I slipped on my flip flops, thinking she was telling me to place my foot on the low shelf of this counter for some reason. My flip flop snagged the polish, smearing the flower on my big toe. She yelled at me in another language and became very obviously exasperated with me! Awkward! And now my nails looked awful! Another customer explained that I was supposed to place my foot UNDER the counter shelf for some sort of drying system. This was new to me, and I had not understood at all what the woman was telling me! She had to re-do my big toe, and she did it with very bad grace and melodramatic gestures to demonstrate that my stupidity was costing her a break! I was mortified and felt like a complete idiot. I also felt compelled to leave a big tip because she made such a song and dance about me causing her to have to re-do the nail and design. Needless to say they lost a customer that day... I had been very enthusiastic about this place and had even brought people there for birthdays. I mean, come on, youre running a business here, in Santa Barbara. ! SOMEONE in the building has gotta speak English - please! Now I go to Angels Nails further up State and they are great, reasonably priced, and there is always someone there who speaks enough English to discuss what you want!
This place is right on state street across the street from the movie theather. I liked how my nails were but I dont really appreciate the way the staff behaved. They seemed to be in their own world! I felt completly ignored and the women there seemed to be talking about the costumers. I will not be getting my nails done here again!
Very sweet nail techs. The foot and leg massage was awesome!
Ask for Alice! Her eyebrow waxes are painless and shes very friendly. The prices are comparable to most other local salons, and the State Street location is very convenient.
I really wish that I had a better experience at this place. My husband and I were in town for our anniversary and decided to get mani/pedis together. We both picked one of the better packages but not the BEST one. I asked that they do gel on mine because it last longer. When I typically do gel it last 3 to 4 weeks. It hasn’t even been a week and the clear coat for my gel is peeling off and even my purple paint is starting to chip. I am extremely disappointed especially for the price they charged me. I paid $115 for just MY manicure and pedicure. Like I said before my husband and I picked the same package. He got the hot wax and I did not. He also got a massage on his shoulder and arms that I also did not get. I was charged $85 dollars for his. Just beware if you want to add gel to your manicure and pedicure it is an extra $40. I have been to many salons and have never been charged this price to add gel. When we first sat down they asked if we were from around here and we explained we were on a weekend get away. I feel like we were taken advantage of because we were from out of town. When I started to question the price point because the math wasn’t adding up they stumbled upon their words and got a little defensive. We paid it obviously but I am very annoyed and I just think I was over charged especially since I did not get the same services as my husband and now it hasn’t even been a week and the Gel polish is already chipping. If we go back to Santa Barbara I will most definitely not return to this salon.
Great pedi place, nic and relaxing
Loved the way my nails were done an the treatment was very wonderful, I would recommend it to everyone else!
The staff are very friendly, they do an excellent job! I have tried other places but I just keep coming back to NI, thank you for giving me a relaxing hour for myself :)
Worst place Ive ever been to! They left my nails uneven, did the wrong color, and price was beyond the line! Never going there again! They dont even speak English must unprofessional service, Ive ever received!!!!!
Quality and Great Price! I REALLY appreciate the time they take, unlike other places where they rush you out the door.
Lady cut the skin on my toes while she was taking off my old polish and insisted I had gels (I didnt). Stopped the pedi before more pain....dont recommend this place unless you want to leave in pain....
Unfriendly, unclean and generally poor experience. There are lots of better places on state street
Cant say enough....incredible experience... came in from out of town....they were awesome....thank you!! :)
They do a great job on nails and very affordable
#1👌
They have the worst service! I went on a whim and will not be returning!
