I’ve done my taxes with George Nanni for roughly 2-3 years, a little pricey at times. He was very eager to reach out when it came to paying for my taxes but when it comes to resolving IRS issues, you are on your own. This year I was a victim of Identity Theft. I left multiple voicemails at his office, his personal cell, and email with no reply. I even walked in to the office only to be turned away and told that they would reach out, which they never did. I don’t recommend him to anyone!

I’ve been calling, leaving voicemails, emails since I have not received my taxes & I’ve heard NOTHING back. First time doing taxes with them, NEVER AGAIN! Do not come here

It’s that time of year again! My first time to visit Nanni Tax Services.   I was told to be prepared to wait and to bring a book to read.   I was surprised to see not very many people in the front lobby / waiting room.  After a 20 minute wait, I was taken to see Mr. Nanni.   He was really nice and very thorough with my returns.  He found deductions my previous tax guy forgot about.  Thank you very much! I’ll see you next year!

I was referred to Nanni Tax by a friend that comes here religiously every year.  Boy. am I glad I came here. The staff is very nice and welcoming.  Jorge Nanni is the person who filed my tax returns for me.   He was very knowledgeable and great to work with,  Very easy going.  I will recommend these guys to everyone I know and will be seeing them again next year.

I have never written a bad review and hate to do it now but I feel compelled to share so others dont experience what our family has gone through. Jorge is not a certified accountant, he is a tax preparer- and not that it should make a difference but just sharing. He messed up on our taxes each year and included exemptions that are not legal. We did not know this until we got AUDITED BY THE IRS for the years he prepared our taxes. That is when we then found out that most of the exemptions he used were not allowed and even after we questioned him during our IRS audit, he promised me everything on our taxes was on the up and up. He assured me that everything would be ok and the IRS is just bullies so dont worry about anything. He said he would be with us the whole way during the audit. Everything he said was not true. He ignored my calls until he was so sick of my constant calling that he had to respond. He would tell me lies that he contacted IRS or sent packages when that did not happen. After my persistence he would finally do what he said (contact IRS, mail package to them etc). He said he would act as my power of attorney and that was also a lie. He cant legally act as our power of attorney because he is not a certified accountant. After he finally got involved, he told me not to contact the IRS agent and that he would be the only one contacting her. After I spoke to an attorney that he recommended and I also hired one of my own to review the taxes (more money out of pocket because of him) we found out that the taxes were in fact done wrong and we owed the IRS and nothing else could be done. When I called the IRS agent, she was actually very nice but we still owed. Just to sum up the damage he has caused our family- WE NOW OWE THE IRS almost $20,000 for two years of taxes. That does not include the state of California - once they get notification of all this, we will also owe them. I asked Jorge to pay for the damages he caused and as of yet he is not complying. He should at least pay for the penalties and interest since HE caused the damage and we relied on him for legal and proper tax advice. Taxes are not my field of expertise, it is his and that is why we paid him hundreds of dollars to prepare our taxes each year. We are so hurt by Jorge, so hurt. We felt that he truly cared for our family and we cared for him and his family. I always told him that I wanted to make sure we did our taxes correctly. I also asked him that when I left H&R Block to come to him that I loved that they had that peace of mind trait. That if we were ever audited they would represent us- and I asked Jorge then (which was years ago) if he would represent us and help us during an audit. He said of course, I will be with you the whole way, but no one ever has been audited when they use me. Now looking back, I see all the red signs but back then I wanted to trust him and so I did not see any of these red signs.Please watch out for Jorge Nanni. He can probably get you more money back on your taxes than other places might be able to, but is it worth the risk of having your taxes done incorrectly? Then you owe the IRS not even just the original amount you would have owed them, but then also penalties and interest. It could hit your credit report if you cant pay in a certain amount of time and the stress alone is not worth it.
