I now have a guy for all of my jewelry needs. I first met Diamond Mike as a teacher through the Why Mom Deserves a Diamond. I always liked to drop of the essays in person and got to know Mike and his wife Carmen through those interactions and on Facebook. My wife and I have been married over 25 years and I wanted to get her a new wedding set. I brought her in to get her existing set cleaned and inspected as well as look at new options. Diamond Mike walked us through the process of learning her style, educating us on jewelry, picking out and designing the final piece. He sent us pictures of his progress and was in constant communication. He is upfront, transparent, knowledgeable, patient, and desired to help us find exactly what we wanted (not what he wanted to sell). I recently got engaged and prior to my engagement I didn’t know much about engagement rings or especially diamonds. Through my own research I found out what to stay away from, along with a few do’s and don’t’s in the world of diamonds, but by no means was I an expert. A coworker referred Diamond Mike Watson to me as she had gone to him over the years for her jewelry needs. Diamond Mike welcomed me in and took the time to really explain what I should be looking for and what I needed in a diamond. He was not pushy or salesy, and really made me feel comfortable in my decision - explaining pros and cons along each step of the way. Diamond Mike also took the time to understand who my fiancé was and what she might like.It took about 10 days for me to get the ring as he hand crafted the band with filler diamonds and got the perfect look. He text pictures and updates just about every other day. All in all, it was a success! She loved the ring, it came out just perfect.I would 100% refer Diamond Mike and the Gallery of Diamonds to all my close friends and family. Great experience, 5 stars.

My son wrote a paragraph about me for Mothers Day in which he won an amethyst. I would definitely recommend the Gallery of Diamonds. Diamond Mike and his staff are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They were all waring masks, had hand sanitizer everywhere and observed social distancing guidelines. We will definitely return.

Diamond Mike has a big heart. His contest, Why My Mom Deserves A Diamond, encourages young students to write wonderful poems about their mothers. My daughter won the contest 3 times! Upon our visit to receive her reward and read her poem to me, I discovered that Diamond Mike was adopted. We had a great talk about adoption and I ended up buying his book, a story about his journey of adoption, a topic close to my heart. This place is incredible, I bought the most beautiful necklace setting for the loose Garnet that my daughter won for me from a writing contest at school for why your mom deserves a diamond. The owners are wonderful people and very friendly and Mike helped me pick out the most beautiful setting for my loose gem. It was really hard picking out which type of setting I wanted because they were all so elegant, and it was definitely a special day. Thank you Gallery of Diamonds for such an amazing day!

We went to Gallery of Diamonds today because my son won the “Why Mom Deserves a Diamond” contest. He won a amethyst. Diamond Mike helped us out. He taught us how the contest started and who was the 1st person. I purchased a necklace to wear my amethyst. I recommend anyone to go to Gallery of Diamonds.

I had a ring custom made at Gallery of Diamonds and it came out even better then I ever thought it could be. And just a few days ago I bought an estate ring from them and I wanted a diamond added to it, they did it really fast and I picked it up yesterday I love my new rings. It was a little hard to find but it was clean and staff was really nice!

In 2012 we purchased my engagement ring from Michael. I was happy when I received it but about 6 months later I began having problems with it. The setting was a halo and it began to be crooked, also I lost about 3 small diamonds within the time I had it and the center stone also fell out due to a broken prong. After paying for all these repairs I knew there was something wrong with the ring. I took the ring to Tustin Jewelers and was told that my ring was made in China. I went to Michael and we worked it out quickly. He gave me a trade for the ring I had purchased with no extra charges to a regular platinum band. It is worth less than half as much as the original ring we bought but I was just happy to have a ring that wasnt going to fall apart. He suggested that it was my lifestyle, which I assume he was trying to place blame on me rather than take responsibility. I was pregnant and then with an infant and a twelve year old so I didnt feel very active.Currently there are no issues with the structure of the ring. I have learned that we over paid for our ring almost double the price. Even with the 20%off coupon. Many of my friends diamonds are VS1 or better in clarity and larger and they paid about the same as we did (my diamond is SI2)Because of the issue with the first ring that I had to trade I now have a diamond on a band, not at all similar to the one my husband had bought for me. So its not something I love. Every time I look at it Im reminded of how we were ripped off.My suggestion is to do your research, research the manufacturer and the diamond and how much it should cost. .In the end I wish we had shopped around. Maybe taken a class.Pros: Michael was nice to work with. Quick and responsive with making some attempt to rectify the situation of my defective ring. Friendly staffCons: Michael was dishonest and took advantage of us from the very beginning of the purchase. He did not apologize about the ring and didnt give us a ring equal in value to the one we purchased. He kept saying it was my lifestyle that caused the ring to break. His prices are also hand written by himself and the rings he showed me to exchange were written with an $800 price tag. What he didnt know was that I had already been shopping for a platinum band and the $800 bands I had been shown were about 3 times as heavy as the ones he showed me. After I mentioned that to my husband a few times Michael finally came clean and admitted they were not worth $800.He recently left me a message saying he no longer works with the company who made the ring we originally purchased. So I guess thats as close as Ill get to him admitting he sold us garbage.With so many other jeweler options save yourself the pain and go elsewhere.He also does not do the repairs himself the items are sent out to a third party so it takes a while to get your jewelry back.You should also take note that these reviews giving Michael 5 stars were all written with in the same time frame. Usually meaning he had some friends write them.
