My oven door came off both hinges and I couldn’t put it back no matter what. The only way to get it fixed was to call a technician. I sent a quick message to Reliable Appliance Service, and they returned my call within fifteen minutes. When the tech guy arrived later in the afternoon, he took the door apart and did his best to adjust the hinges so that I didn’t have to purchase new cones. I’m super pleased and will definitely share this company’s number with my friends.

And it was one of the most successful decisions I’ve recently made. They responded to my message in no time and were able to send a handyman out the same day. I dont usually write reviews but my experience with this company was so bad that I feel the need to warn others. The company didnt tell us when to expect the tech but he did call 15 minutes before he showed up. The first thing he did was call someone who was more knowledgeable about my dishwasher and together they tried to figure out why it was not working. They couldnt figure it out, so they recommended that I replace the control panel. I was told that the company would call me with an estimate for the part, but I never received a call. I followed-up 3 times and never heard back. Never again.

I highly recommend this company. We recently moved to a new house and the first day in we got a heat wave. We discovered day of move that our AC unit was completely busted. We have a four-month-old so between the heat in the house and horrible air quality, we couldnt stay at the house overnight. Stefan and Mike were amazing. When they discovered we needed a new system, they again moved schedules around. He kept me informed the entire time and was so incredibly kind to us. Reliable Appliance Service team provided an excellent service repairing my 15 year old furnace. They sent out a very well-informed service technician who could make out the issue was with the faulty ignition system. He fixed the problem in a matter of one hour, and the furnace burner started lighting again. The technician was very knowledgeable and experienced, he answered all my questions and instructed me about further use. Great experience!

Had an unbelievable experience. I had an issue with my oven not working, I called RAS. They came out the same day on time. Jordan fixed the oven in the span of 30 minutes. The price was attractive. After that I had him look at our dryer which had been giving us a few problems. He was able to fix and clean the inside of our dryer in about 40 minutes. Additionally he used less expensive parts so the repair was not as costly as we thought it would be. I could not be happier with Reliable and will strongly recommend them to anyone in need of appliance repairs.

Andrew fixed our AC. He was polite and responsive and showed up on time. It took several visits to get my AС up. He explained what he was doing and even took the time to answer my questions about improvements and preventive maintenance. I am very happy with the service and I will call him again to have him take care of those other things.

Truly terrible experience. I made an appointment for diagnosis on 3/8/2021 and 15 minutes before the time window ran out the tech called and said he would not be able to make it to our home until 9pm that evening. That was too late for me and we agreed that we would come out at 10am the next day 3/9. He came diagnosed and told me he needed a common part and it would take 1 to 2 days at most to get the job done. I called on the 10th to make sure everything was still okay. I was told I would get a call from the tech. That never happened. I called on the 11th the operator apologized and said she would forward my request to a supervisor and they would call me back. That also did not happen. I called again 3/12 frustrated that I keep getting told someone will reach out to me. A man named Joseph answered the line this time. I voiced my frustration expressing that I was not receiving honest communication or any semblance of a timeline. He was condescending and argumentative. He also told me that there are no managers or supervisors on site to call me. He hung up on me when I was in the middle of talking. I would have understood if they said your part was ordered there are delays sorry that we did not communicate that. Goodness Blame COVID! I called back and reached Joseph again and stated that I would still expect a call from the supervisor.

Thanks for replacing my dryer’s heating element! When I called Reliable Appliance Service, they offered to send someone out the same day, but I requested to come in two days when I could be at home. They got me scheduled and a serviceman showed up exactly when he was supposed to. He worked wholeheartedly for around one and a half hours, and my dryer is back up running. Very satisfied!

Our tenants ac went out during the heat wave, and needed to get this fixed for our tenants asap. Michael who was working several units in our building was able to come over quickly, and get our unit up and running within the hour. He was thorough and sent step by step pictures of what he was working on. My boss knows a bit about AC units said this guy was super honest, through. As a property management and general contracting firm that deals with many properties, we will definitely work with RAS.

This was a disaster. First time around: lovely guy came out, seem to solve the problem. Weeks later: things got worse. New guy came out, told us to defrost ourselves then call back. Problem persisted. Next time around, told we needed a part. Part came, part installed -- and the refrigerator was WORSE. Meanwhile, getting them on the phone is impossible. No call backs. Now -- surprise, surprise -- theyre not responding at all. So Ive paid a bunch of money and shall have to seek a new company.

My oven stopped self cleaning and I was wondering whether I should call a repairman. It was still functional as an oven, but on second thought, I paid quite a lot for having a self-cleaning unit, so what was the point of spending so much if it wouldn’t self-clean? I called this company, and they were the most helpful. I got my appointment scheduled later in the evening, and the repairman came on time. He checked out the switch and door lock motor, thermostat, control board and every single component that could cause the issue. After identifying the problem, he quickly repaired the unit. Everything went very smoothly. I have a clean oven, and Reliable has a satisfied and loyal customer.

I would strongly recommend that you do NOT use this company. I have a freezer that is not working properly. I called and they did come out that day for a service call. The repairman stated that the tracks to the freezer door needed to be replaced. He stated he was ordering the parts and would be back the following Friday. He took payment and did provide an email invoice. Sounds pretty good so far. He never came back. I have emailed them to figure out what the delay is, no answer.There are other service vendors in the city. I would strongly advise you seek someone else.

RAS did a good job with my furnace four years ago, so when it started giving trouble again I didn’t hesitate calling them. They are still as professional, prompt and punctual as I remember. I had to arrange things to work from home to accommodate a 9am appointment and the guy never shows up. I called and he apologizes profusely because he forgot, so we reschedule for a 6pm the next day. He doesnt show up again! AND, he didnt even have the courtesy to pick up my call or return my call! I am bringing my business elsewhere. Dont waste your time with this place.

They could not answer a simple question. Conversion to propane... They tell you the charge is $ 69.00 for the service call. The technician will quite quote you. If you decide this fire us... We will give you the 69.00 credit ... This was not a repair....

My dryer stopped working. Their technician came and thought it was timer issue. He was supposed to bring the timer next time. But he didnt show up on the promised date without a phone call or message. When he finally came the third time, he spending hours and told me its not the timer issue, there was bigger problem with my dryer and he need to come again to diagnose.I end up picked another company and they fixed the issue quickly and at a lower price.

I have lived in San Jose all my life and have never found a repairman that I have called back after their initial visit. Tim is the exception. To finish the work on time, they initially used different metal sheet covers because the standard ones were not available due to covid supply chain issues. I did not like these covers and they stood behind their work. They removed and reinstalled the proper covers after searching for them all over California. I highly recommend them.

Not even worth your time. Worst service and repair. Its been three weeks since Ive set up my appointment with them. They took a week to write an estimate. A second week to order the parts. When they came to fix the wash machine, the repairman was scheduled to give me ANOTHER initial estimate. They have done NOTHING to rectify the situation and have put me out in additional 2 weeks without a wash machine. And to think that Im paying them? Not worth it. Call literally ANYONE else.

My AC was producing a buzzing sound when running, and I was wondering whether I should call a repairman. The system was working well, the house was cool. When I called RAS, a person on the phone said this problem shouldn’t be ignored since it could be something to do with faulty electrical components. The tech guy showed up on time and started from examining the whole system. He managed to identify the components that were causing the issue. The problem was fixed within an hour or so. He didn’t try to sell anything or making it all look big. I’m happy with the service and would definitely recommend these guys if your AC needs a repair. Five stars.

I’ve been using RAS for annual checkups, and to be honest, I should have given them a five star review long ago. They never take shortcuts. All the moving parts get checked and cleaned, and they also make sure to recharge the system if the refrigerant is low. Thanks to their wonderful team, I’ve never experienced any issues with my AC. My phone call was answered promptly, but the receptionist quickly lost my business & future referrals. I explained I needed a repair person to take a look at my refrigerator. His immediate & only response was Well, it wont be today. Being direct can be a good thing, but his response came across as flippant & rude.I guess this company is doing so well they can turn customers away.

Its been 2 weeks of non-returned calls after I was told the part I needed to fix a dishwasher was out of stock and wouldnt be in for 4-5 business days. I called after 4 and asked if they could give me an idea of when it would be delivered so I could plan accordingly. Never got a call back.

I had an issue where my tenant tampered with the central AC unit and fried the main board. When I called Reliable Appliance Service they set an appointment for the next day. I was surprised because there is a lot of work with Air Conditioning, I think, in such abnormally hot days. Their technician came on time. Mike had a spare board and was able to replace it and get the AC up and running. I’d highly recommend this company!

They are dishonest and charge outrageous prices for simple parts. Unless you buy from them, they will tell you your AC or furnace is on its last leg and, of course, they want to sell you their products. I seriously dont know how they stay in business! They are awful...BEWARE!

Eddie was very clean/sanitary and took all of the precautions to keep us both safe and minimize the risk of COVID. He diagnosed the problem with my AC and ordered a new part to finish the repair. I had a bad fan on my oven. The technician said he would order the part and then install it. That was 2 months ago. I have called numerous times to remind them. They lost part they ordered. They came to fix a dishwasher at my place. It remained broken thereafter and another repair company came out and fixed it. this company stayed for less than 20 minutes. They said they cleaned broken glass out of the machine, but they did not even run a load to make sure it was working. I expressed concerns about this but they left anyway - further stating that in the future to make the machine work I would need to do this weird 3 part process that included (ie) running the faucet for 3 minutes before each load. The other repairmen I hired actually took the time to fix the machine completely - future hassles avoided!

Ive used these guys in the past to fix a dishwasher but they are not the people to call if you have an emergency. I called yesterday to ask about having the very same dishwasher repaired and did not get answer and did not get a call back. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I called them again today because our refrigerator temperature is rising and I needed someone to come out as soon as possible to look at it. This time they did return my call but they cannot come out until Monday. So much for always there... I did however get an answer from other company and currently have someone en route to fix my issue. If you have an emergency, go with other company.

We have been trying to get our ice maker fixed for the past 3 weeks! I call every day to check the status (after I am told each day they will call me back - BUT DONT!) and all I get is the run around. Had a tech come who failed to acknowledge our main issue which was no water flow. He could not diagnose nor fix and suggested other fixes but not the main fix. I contacted the company to let them know that I shouldnt be charged if he was unable to fix the item that needed repair. The woman was extremely rude and not understanding what so ever and said if a repair cannot be made then it is still $69.95. Just have to throw the .95 in there? I asked her to please waive it she would not and I asked if I should contact my credit card provider and she said I could do whatever I liked. Save your money and go to a company with some class. The tech basically told us to buy a brand new fridge. Hopefully your service fee was worth losing a future client.

I worked with this company to fix my oven. It was fairly easy to secure an appointment, they found out the issue, ordered replacement part and came for the second appointment within the same week. The process was efficient and I am happy with the service.

They came out twice and needed a part. They called to say they had it and scheduled an appointment. They called to cancel during the appt time but had a decent reason so rescheduled. The next day they no showed to the appointment, no call. Finally got ahold of them and they were apologetic and rescheduled. Waited for them, another no show! No call. Stay away!

He said he could come between 9 and 11am to fix my gas oven. At 11:15, he still hadnt shown up; neither had he called to tell me he would be late. When he did show up, diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly, which I appreciated. He did not, however, clean up after himself. He left a broken part on my counter and dirt on my floor. I also had to ask him to give me a receipt.

This was the third time we have had to call them to fix the same icemaker. They gave us a two to three hour time range. We waited. No one came. I called them to ask when the repair man was coming and they said that it was their mistake but rather than putting us as their first customer tomorrow or working late today, they said maybe tomorrow same time. Very frustrating. If you value your time and dont want to have to set up appointment after appointment for the same thing and dont want to take time off work, to have them not simply come late but not show up at all, then perhaps a different company

Called to get an estimate based on the service code my dishwasher gave. They wouldnt give any prices over the phone. What type of honest business wont give a price with the acceptance that it will change if the repair isnt what the computer on the dishwasher said it is?

Have issue in my dishwasher and call this company to take a look.Technician came but cannot figure the issue even spending 30 min. He told us that the control board or control panel may have issue (he is not sure and he doesnt take a look on control board/control panel) and require over 800 to fix including part and labor, which is ridiculous. We can find the same part online less than 200. The charge of service call is not high though.Finally I found another authorized repair technician and spend 5 min to fix the issue. Both technicians check the same component but this company cannot root-cause the issue.Wasting money and not recommend

Horrific administration, scheduling (canceling appointments for emergencies and no one else having the parts), and customer service. Clearly a theme that they could care less about given the consistent reviews. THE WORST!

Reliable answered all my questions within the first 30 seconds of the phone call. They had an employee set up to come to my house immediately! This company fixed my appliance issue the same day I called. If you’re looking for immediate response, definitely call Reliable!

I have to assume positive reviews here are not real. Thats my take away from using this service. I would say if they show up the service and the pricing is not worth the visit. My take is this is a one man show. If they can fix your issue you may not enjoy the pricing. If your issue can not be fixed they charge you a service charge, with that said some items they know they cant fix when they walk but they still want to charge you for showing up.

I woke up to high temperatures and no air in the night. I called them at morning and their technician came 2 hours after. Henry was very helpful and informative when he came out. He found the problem with my AC and fixed it during first visit. Thank you Henry!

He hung up on me TWICE when I called to discuss an issue about the invoice we received today to fix our microwave. When I told him I would write a review and was insulted that he didnt even listen to my complaint he said he didnt care and hung up again.I guess they have too much business. After a stressful start where they said they were coming and didnt show, we rescheduled and super nice Tech rolls up. He tells me I need a new HVAC/central air unit because the compressor was dead. Im quoted a price. I decide to get a few bids and second opinion. Turns out- I DONT NEED A NEW ONE! You know what I needed?... a charge of Freon. so unacceptable.

My Refrigerator was broken and all my food started to get warm and smell a little bit. I decided to call Reliable Appliance Service before it got too bad. The handyman came to my house and did a repair same day! Highly recommended and I’ll use them again for any needs in the future.

My freezer had excess ice collecting in the coils, due to the gaskets on the door not sealing properly. The guy did not diagnose the problem correctly, even though I told him the doors werent sealing well.I called back to have them fix the problem, but no one got back to me to complete the unfinished job when I explained that the doors werent sealing correctly.

No show on appointment.Appointment made for 8-10. No one showed by 10. Called and person said that they meant to say 8-12. At 12, still a no show. Never showed, no call or anything

I needed to get my refrigerator fixed ASAP before all my food went bad. I called several companies but Reliable Appliance Service was the only company able to come out same day. The representatives were so nice to speak with and Eddie the technician was phenomenal and fixed my fridge right away!

After trying multiple companies, Reliable was the only one that came available to come down and fix my heater that same day! I live near Romana, and it’s been very chilly! I needed my heater fixed immediately, they had their technicians come out to my house within three hours of making my appointment. Thank you reliable!
