In my experience, Bug Out personnel have always been professional, diligent and friendly. Aside from a few minor kinks in the beginning that were addressed and fixed, I have been completely satisfied. Both Tammy at the office and Tyler have been a pleasure to work with. All of the technicians that I have encountered thus far have been very knowledgeable and good at what they do. When service is requested outside of our regularly scheduled dates, we usually have a technician here within 1 or 2 business days. I would definitely recommend Bug Out for any pest control needs.
New customer here! Both the inspector Tina and serviceman Zach were super friendly and attentive. They both showed up on time and called beforehand to ensure I was home. Given this was my first visit, they spent a lot of time explaining the process and our options. I am hopeful future visits are just as positive!
The technician, Thomas, was on time and knowledgeable. He was very pleasant and professional. It took us a few minutes to get ourselves together along with our two year old and fur babies. He was patient. He explained everything to us and gave us some pointers. Thomas really went the extra mile to ensure our little families safety through this process. We definitely recommend this company!
They were very courteous and professional. My only complaint is I would have thought that when they sprayed inside they would have asked me to move the furniture and stuff to do a total spray around the baseboard areas. Update: 9/16/2021 - the gnats never totally went away and I thought their spray would take a few days to work but as of today it is like they were never here. I wouldnt mind but the cost was higher than others but I went with the reviews. Have a bad taste in my mouth that because I didnt sign a service contract my bug problem would be back. Sad that I think that but Ill take care of my bug problem myself somehow.
I was surprised that they were able to come and do a spraying and inspection the first business day after I called. The tech that sprayed and spread insect granules was very professional and knowledgeable. The inspector was very helpful!
Jared has been doing our service since we moved to Sanford in 2018. He is such a wonderful, respectful, and cheerful young man. We always know that he’s going to do a great job for us! He should get a raise!
First, who is Kraig Johnson? This further solidifies your companies level of detail and care. Your total home evaluation was never conducted. The first person who showed to inspect the home walked the perimeter of the home never stepping foot in my house or going under it as expected. I suggested more than once. Was here.. 20 minutes tops. The tech followed and was here 15 mins. Sprayed just around the perimeter and never sprayed around my building as asked or under my house. Could have put granules down. They failed to notice the European Hornets nest right near my chimney at the roof line. They were called out here for millipedes, apparently the millipedes are only treated by spraying them direct on contact.. could have told me this over the phone and avoided using their service. The inspector, John opened the door to my crawlspace and said you need a dehumidifier. House has been here since 1980 and its all brick, never any issues for all these years.. Anyway my point is they never addressed the reason for calling. They sent another inspector to do another total home evaluation. End result, never addressed the pest and wanted that dehumidifier sale. I spoke to an expert with Tar Heel Basement Systems who advised you dont need a dehumidifier. Need gutters and if anything encapsulation, The experts exact words.. A dehumidifier will just run constantly and waste energy, the bug people need to focus on selling bugs and leave the moisture remidiation up to the experts.
They were very helpful, knowledgeable of the type of bug, they knew just from description over phone. They are very thorough and not only help get rid of pests, but WANT to help you.. Thats refreshing these days.
They treated my crawl space for carpenter bees and their treatment did not work, either they did not apply the correct amount of chemical or did not utilize the correct product, on top of that they insisted that I needed a termite treatment around my house and sold me a very expensive and unnecessary bundle.I do not recommend this company.

They lied and told us, we were signing up for the initial plus 3 more visit. They only came the initial visit and twice after which were paid for, yet they then continue sending me bills three months later -Edit: 9/4/19After speaking with them AGAIN about this same bill saying my payment is late over a visit that they never even came to my house for! And I wish I wouldnt have to do this but everytime I call they place me on long 10 minute holds and multiple transfers, this has been a horrible experience

From beginning to end, Bug Out was professional, courteous and friendly. The initial inspection and estimate from Jeff, was fair and reasonable. He addressed our issues, made recommendations based on what we wanted and NEVER tried to over sell products or service. The regional office scheduled our service within two days of our estimate and answered any further questions with patience and straight forward responses. On the day of service, the two Bug Out employees worked efficiently to complete all scheduled tasks. The were polite, thorough and quick. All work completed in a few hours to our complete satisfaction.

I too was told I would not be billed for services that were never provided, and then still was! When trying to cancel, had to contact my credit card company and dispute charges to actually get rid of them!HORRIBLE!!! After three month of runaround, regarding charges for services never provided in May, Kathy literally told me NO, when asked “may I speak” I was DONE 😏
State Pest Control is amazing! We use them for termite control, mosquito control, and other pests. Weve been with State Pest for about 3 years, great prices and staff. Could not live without them. Great work ethic, excellent service, everything you want and a good deal to boot.

Ive never had an issue with any of your technicians or sales guys and am a previous loyal customer to State Pest Control of many years but what limb do I have to sell to get someone in the office to answer or return a call? Im on day two of trying to reach someone. I was actually able to talk to a real live person yesterday who was aware of my issue and completely aware that I was going to call her back within 30 minutes before closing to sort said issue out. I had to leave another message then and again today. I side with all the other reviews for poor customer service. If you cant or wont handle the phone lines hire additional help or fire the current staff and get some folks in there that can handle the job. This is ridiculous.PS. Id still appreciate a call back. Like yesterday.

I had been a customer for well over two years and never had any issues with the service technician who came out every 3 months. As for customer service and calling to cancel, it was a whole other matter. I called a Ms. Kathy on April 14 to cancel my contract and she informed me that I could receive a final service for april since I had paid for it in the previous 3 months(Jan. Feb. March). If I did not receive the final service she would refund me an amount of 58 dollars and I would not be charged an additonal month which would be the upcoming april payment . If I decided to receive the last service there would be no additional charge, my account would be in good standing and I would not be charged again in the month of april. The following day on april 15, my account was charged again. I called and the first representative was not patient and would not even let me speak and explain my situation. She was not courteous or attentive and basically told me she would have a supervisor/manager return my call. The next lady called and she was very rude, did not care about what I had to say and told me the Ms. Kathy I spoke to did not know what she was talking about and that she would not authorize my refund. She was very unprofessional and inconsiderate. She kept insisting that she would not give me my money back, that it was up to her and she would not grant me a refund. She stated that the previous Ms. Kathy who worked there and had been the one to cancel my contract had no idea what she was talking about. I am very upset because if I would have needed their services in the future I would have immediately called Bug Out. But after this frustration I cannot see myself reaching out to them again.
We had a MAJOR wasp infestation in our crawl space that was encroaching on the rest of our house. Our technician came in and worked magic! He gave us a guarantee, and here we are, a good year later, and we’ve not seen one single wasp in our house!We have a contract with Bug Out, and it’s worth the cost, which is reasonable to begin with. Knock on our termite free wood, we haven’t had any problems with bugs in the last year that we’ve been customers.

My State Pest Control representative has been nothing but professional, friendly, competent, helpful and on time. I initially called because of ants, crickets, spiders, etc. . . but after my 1st service I WAS TOTALLY BUG FREE!!! I love the line of communication that I receive (service reminders via email/text and payment receipts). I HIGHLY recommend State Pest Control!!!!!!
Always prompt in getting someone out to the house when we have a problem. Quarterly maintenance is thorough. The detailed note that is left after care is provided is wonderful since we are usually not here when maintainence is performed. Whenever servicemen have come out to our house they have always been polite and courteous. Customer service is always effecient and helpful when I call. Overall a great company. No complaints!

Jamison is an awesome tech! He even reset a breaker on a dehumidifier a previous tech with the same company said needed replaced or repaired because it was broken. He was quick and friendly. He even came back up to the house to tell me what hed done.

Worst mistake of our home buying experience. We are a military family moving from 9 hours away, so I had to trust online reviews to pick the company to perform our VA required pest inspection. I scheduled a week ahead to include home and 2 accessory buildings on the property. Not once was it mentioned both had to have power to be inspected. Inspector arrives, I couldnt babysit, had 2 other professionals in the house. Inspector promises report will be done by COB, Ill have it tomorrow at the latest. Fast forward to Thursday, I still dont have it. Excuse? Oh our printer has been down all week, it just now got fixed. So you have 4 offices, cant notify customers that you cant perform work you promised in a timely manner because 1 printer is down? Inspection report doesnt include accessory buildings. Underwriters reject. Call, it wasnt ordered Um yes it was. I paid $125 for it. Say ok itll get done by COB today. Next day, still nothing. 5 phone calls later I get invoice that says no activity, report that says activity on the one building with power. Which is it? Seller has her people come treat, they see no activity but treat anyway. What about the building with power? We dont do buildings without power Why wasnt I told that? Well we can but thats an additional $75 charge Ive gotten more honesty, reliability, and integrity out of an 18 year old recruit. Buyer Beware.
I agree with some of the other posts. The people are nice, but since we have cancelled our service (due to not seeing a difference the sprying was making - and to be fair they did offered to come back put and spray, free of charge) we have been billed twice for services we are no longer receiving.When I called last month to point out the mistake, they were very nice and assured me they would refund me (the request had to sent out to be approved).Now, a month later, I have been billed again and still have not been refunded the prior month. After I told the woman I was speaking with that I have spoken with her before (she was the one I cancelled services with) she told me she has never accessed this account before. She has a very distinct accent and I know I have spoken with her.......When I was being transferred to the manager, I was then told she was in a meeting and would call be back.I guess we will find out how great their customer service is when you are no longer a customer.

This company is extremely unresponsive. For the past two years they have been contracted to come out and inspect our termite traps (the builder set up the initial contract) and every year it is a hassle to even get someone on the phone. I have called every location, sent multiple emails, and I still cant get a hold of anyone. It has been over a week of trying now.
