I love this place. Everyone is so nice and there are only a few machines I have ever had to wait on. I mainly go for the pool and hot tub. They have a wonderful appointment system for the lanes. I would have to say they do need to do a better job of cleaning said pool and hot tub. They are not cleaned nearly as regularly as they should be and they can get kinda disgusting. Locker rooms are always very clean, and I have never had anything taken from my locker when I didnt use a lock. When I joined I specifically asked for them to not be high pressure about selling me personal trainer sessions. It makes me not want to go. And they have done exactly what I asked. They leave me to my own and I enjoy everything they have to offer here. They are limited on classes, I am assuming that is because of CoVid. Definitely recommend this place.

I’ve been going for a few months, it’s mostly a good gym with a good staff. Their cleaning times always seems to overlap with when I go, which is a bit inconvenient for me personally, and a few of the equipment has minor issues (TV not working sometimes, heart rate detector not detecting on a few machines), but it’s mostly been a positive experience. Jonathan is great, I recommend more people to do PT with him!

Decent amount of space between machines, good variety of strength training equipment, and very clean. Male patrons need to remember not to hog the weight rack though...my only real annoyance which has nothing to do with the facilities. Id visit here again.

Best gym in the Sanford/Lake Mary area! Since being taken over by Esporta - the difference is like night and day.1. You wont find nicer front desk staff! I had to make an adjustment with my sons membership, was completed in less than 3 minutes (and done correctly the first time - something that never happened at 24 hour Fitness).2. You wont find a cleaner gym - three people cleaning the gym every day (literally).3. Bathrooms are spotless.4. Pool is spot on - chemicals are in balance, clean, never had such a nice pool.5. Equipment is new, kept clean, replaced when slightly wornLove this gym - wouldnt think about going anywhere else!

Was good when it was an actual LA fitness even with older equipment. Since it transitioned to a Esporta its basically become Planet Fitness but with a different name. So if you (like me) despise PF you will not like esporta or this gym. The $10 a month crowd has really diluted the entire experience. Always packed, no gym etiquette, etc, etc. Recommend finding a different gym or drive the extra distance to go to an actual LA Fitness again.

The facility was new upon my visit and everything was to my liking with the exception of their sales staff. I felt that they tried too hard to extend their membership base by interrupting my workout to ask if I knew of anyone who would be interested in joining. However, I feel things will improve with experience.

This is a brand new facility with brand new equipment. I most enjoy the ease from equipment to equipment minus the wait that some of the other facilities I have used in the past had. I especially enjoy the openness and airy atmosphere, and don’t feel trapped between too much equipment and not enough space that other facilities create as well.

I think people need to remember this gym has done everything possible to protect customers during a pandemic. I have injured myself with Achilles tendonistis and now need to crosstrain, I did belong when it was LA Fitness, the Esporta brand is better. Safety and good equipment, nice staff

I specifically asked if it would be easy to quit the gym when I wanted to end my membership. I was told that it was as easy as just calling in and talking to a manager. They lied.

If i could do zero stars i would. It is a massive scam. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR LA fitness It took me months to cancel my membership after dealing with unhelpful customer service for 2 months. There are hidden fees, yearly fee, cancellation fee and more. They make it almost impossible to cancel and will continue to take your funds after you have cancelled. I filed a report to BBB on there scams. There are also many recent news articles on LA fitness cancellation scam they continued to take money from my account after i told them to cancel, I LEFT THE STATE AND Wasnt even in a state where there gyms are located, i told the women this and she still continued to charge my card. 4 transactions totaling $100. i couldnt feed my kids, dogs, etc and pay bills, my account went negative. Also there initial fee is insane $120 to start. There Gyms are mediocre at best, no olympic lifting stations, 2 squat racks, no 35lb plates, pool closed, sauna closed.. rude people at front desk demanding masks. YOU CAN FIND A MUCH BETTER GYM THAN THIS. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS GYM FOR ANYONE AND I WOULD LOVE TO TELL A NEWS OUTLET HOW THEY USED AND ABUSED ME. Thanks for making my life harder LA fitness

We called to switch our LA location and they said it was fine over the phone just bring a bill and then when we got there they said they wouldn’t switch our location unless we upgraded. Me and my husband and have been with LA fitness for over a year now and we just moved to Sanford so it would’ve been nice to use this location but now we switched to longwood and had no trouble.

Recently, I asked them to turn the music down because it. is. LOUD. I cant hear my own music over the sound of the speakers. They did not honor my request.

I have been a member since opening day, and the staff have always been pleasant and helpful . Machines are always clean as well as the locker rooms, and especially now since covid-19.

Started going here the day the opened. And it’s a great place to go. I usually like to go in the mornings and afternoons, and one thing I’ve noticed about the place is that people don’t clean the equipment after they’re done using it. Which is a huge pet peeve I guess. But it’s a great place to go with good equipment.

I decided to sign up. The sales guy went over options. That was cool. After signing up and discussing monthly and initial cost I receive an email outlining the contract. It is $1 more than stated (not an overly big deal), but a $35 annual fee was never discussed. I hate places that arent up front with fees and prices. This is what you do for a living and you cant even get that right? Be careful when signing up! Other than that the gym appears to be pretty nice.

Since reading many negative reviews have caused me to delay signing up for this gym I wanted to share my experience. Britney, the operations manager is a very good employee imo. When I signed up the sales guy forgot to tell me that its extra to use the Kids Club so she helped me add my kids and correctly gave a refund for paying for single visits when I couldve saved by signing them up for monthly withdrawal. She was very courteous and even though extremely busy she was able to help us. When it was time to cancel our membership because were moving, she processed it and gave me a copy of the cancellation. You pay for a month in advance so when you cancel you have make sure you do so ahead of time because you will not get that month back. Nevertheless, I wanted to say that this gym was everything I was looking for but unfortunately they dont have locations where Im going.

Brand NEW gym with brand new equipment! Overall a nice gym with ample equipment. The staff was blah but I dont typically interact with them. My only grip about La Fit is they need stay open until midnight, 7 days a week.

At first I thought this was a nice gym . But the staff has no personal service skills and lie and are manipulative. Child zone is a joke, staff clearly doesnt care about the children . And your better off going to Athletic Apex . Better service better experience, and better child care . Only thing good about this location is, that it’s new thats the gist of it ... Highly disappointed... and no I’m not just saying that ... I tried both gyms. The cleaning staff does keep the lockers pretty clean, they are fornate to have them . Just being honest and blunt .

They are great in the location, close to my home. i wish they let me use the personal training equitment on my regular work out.I have a herniated disk and that would be awesome. Hate the fact that I paying for a membership and they dont let me use it.

Folks coming in early or late need some lighting in the parking area that works. One light fixture in the parking lot works. You are inviting criminal activity. I starting parking in different spots trying to get near a light fixture that worked. No where to move to now. It is DARK at 5:30 AM.

Ive been going to LA Fitness gym for over a decade now. I decide to try the new one in Sanford off of Lake Mary Boulevard. Never have been so disappointed especially in a new gym. This gym is less than 2 months old and this will be my first and last time ever going to this gym. The staff really is not caring or attentive to boys theyre all sitting at desk playing it on their phones except for the young lady at the front desk who acknowledged me and greeted me with a smile when I checked in. The equipment is a much cheaper and lower grade quality than what Ive come to expect from LA Fitness. They definitely were trying to cut costs when they did their purchasing of equipment. The layout of the gym is very confusing lots of wasted space unless youre familiar with one of these gyms you could spend 20 minutes of try figure out where exactly the locker rooms are. Really did not think it was appropriate location for kid care or anything else. Twice while I was there today a small child under the age of 4 got out of child care and ran into the mens locker room unfortunately the staff couldnt follow him because they only had women so you had gym members having to corner the kid and return him. If this had been the first LA Fitness I never gone to I would never have gotten a membership. Very disappointing that this is what they think is appropriate for a brand new gym in a new market.

This a brand-new gorgeous club with excellent amenities. The Kids Klub is clean, bright and staffed with great babysitters who really care about the kids.

Sales tactics are somewhat like buying a used car. Its a gym membership...Facilities are nice but not cleaned often. You can really tell things arent wiped down when the INTERNAL glass is disgusting. Just make sure to wipe down your equipment before using it.

They dont have enough paper towels and cleaning areas. There are 3 areas but I feel like if there were more a lot more people would clean off the equipment. I cant begin to tell u how many times I have seen someone on an elliptical or treadmill not clean the machine. Its disgusting. You never see any employee wiping them down. I switched from planet fitness since this is closer for me but I will probably switch back. I use to see those employees with spray bottles and rags. The staff at the counter act like u are bothering them when u ask a question. The showers in the ladies room smell like sewage. Ughh...

Signed up for a family membership, we were lied and told that our kids can use the pool and the basketball court as long as they are with us. Today we all went to get in the pool and suddenly its only allowed on weekends. BS Im so upset this people were inconsiderate and disrespectful. Now I have 2 little ones in the car upset they are not getting in the pool and my money didnt get refunded. No wonder they are empty.

Well I was considering switching back to LA Fitness especially since this one opened up near my house. However after they STOLE from my friends, I will NOT be switching back! The culture at LA is known for having manipulating and cuniving front desk and sales staff and this just confirmed it for me. Very disappointed!

My boyfriend went to this LA Fitness on a Monday, while talking to the woman at the front desk he walked away leaving his AirPods. He called the front desk as soon as he got home and the women at the front said she has them and she will hold it for him. He called the same week on Wednesday and spoke to man. He told the man a women was holding his AirPods for him to pick up. The man proceeded to tell him that they are not responsible for his AirPods and that they are no longer in the desk. My boyfriend then asked, “do customers go behind the front desk?” He was told no. He then asked, “So an employee stole my AirPods?” The man over the phone then said, “like I said we are not responsible for your things”.I understand he should not have left his AirPods in the first place, but they should have told him they wouldn’t hold them for him to pick up on Wednesday. I don’t know what’s worse, the customer service or the fact that they have thieving employees. Never will I ever step foot inside this gym, and anyone who asks me recommendations on gyms I will always tell them this story.

Its hard to trash a new gym so give it 5 months and see if its like every other LA Fitness. This location is smaller than many others its only 1 floor. Ill make another review in 5 months and let you know what I think.

Went there at 8:15 and the place wasn’t open. It was supposed to be open at 8:00 AM. There was an employee sitting in his vehicle waiting to get in as well. Someone else called and they were told someone from the Lake Mary location would be over to let us in, but it could take up to 30 minutes.
