We had a group of 18 people on the Sunday Funday cruise to Kelleys. It was a blast! The staff is very friendly and the boat is in great shape! Its so nice to have the Goodtime back where it belongs!! Thank you Joe, Amy, and the rest of the crew!!
Relaxing evening sunset cruise. Great music by 732 Electric Duo.
Good cruise. Very friendly staff. No issues at all. Nice seeing the lake from this boat as its very open.
Nice experience, bring something to do for long ride back to Sandusky.
SUNDAY FUN DAY.
This is one fantastic way to take a relaxing day trip to Lake Eries island gems. You will enjoy the relaxing ride on this beautiful boat. Perfect for the family. Also a great venue for private parties.
Amazing cruise! Staff was very professional and greeted us upon arrival. Social distancing enforced and all crew wore masks, as we did if not seated.
Great price for a well narrated cruise. The staff was very professional, and very friendly. I will definitely keep coming back.
Cruise was absolutely great. Very nice staff and perfect view. Only complaint I would have is the guy singing kinda killed the mood but other than that it was a great time.
Me and my girlfriend enjoyed every second, what a wonderful day we spent in the cruise and the islands we will be back soon thank u very much for the fantastic time ❤️❤️
I attended the Browns cruise yesterday, Sunday Sept. 29th. The most horrible experience I have ever had. They never should have left the dock knowing that there were warnings from the National Weather Service. It should have been a choice to the paying customer once they were warned. We spend over 2 hours going to the island, and over 2.5 coming back. It is typically only 45 min. one way. The bottom of the boat was filled with people vomiting, being thrown around, and staff that did not give a darn about anyone. We missed the first part of the game, and had gotten back so much later than we should have, which was unfair to those waiting for us to return.I will give a shout out to the bank who played..good job guys for helping those who were leaning over the side getting sick.
A very inexpensive way to spend the day exploring and as you are on the boat the captain will tell you a little bit about the islands our family had a good time learning more about Lake Erie and are islands not to mention spending a limited time on the islands but you are free to do what you choose on both Kellys Island and Put-in-Bay for hours... everybody was pleasant and nice.. I would highly recommend for any occasion
Enjoyable sunset cruise with a group of friends. Music was better on past cruises.
Really nice staff, clean boat, good music and a beautiful sunset cruise. Loved it.
Went on Fathers Day cruise! Nice time! The cruise was 2 1/2 hrs. Nice BBQ LUNCHEON provided! Staff VERY nice & friendly! Bartender made excellent suggestions for drinks- she was AWESOME!! Such a GREAT DEAL for your $$$$
The daytime island hopper cruise was a wonderful, inexpensive way to spend a beautiful summer day. Theres a bar on the boat and the bartender is awesome. You have plenty of time at both islands. We rented a golf cart right at the the dock on Kelleys Island for $14. The lobster bisque in a bread bowl at the Boardwalk in Put in Bay was the best ever.
Friday night cruise: Had a great time, staff was friendly and music was awesome! No police at the dock when we returned like I read on other reviews. You can stay on the party deck or go downstairs to sit or talk. There were over 100 people there but I would have still enjoyed it regardless of the amount of people. Will be back!
I did the Friday Night Party Cruise and was incredibly disappointed. There were probably 20 people on the entire boat, the music was way too loud (to the point where you couldnt be on the dance floor without your ears hurting) and 3.5 hours was too long given the lack of people/energy. On the website they definitely try and hype up the party cruise but trust me it is not worth it. You would be better off going to the bars on the pier.
We had a great time this past Saturday on the Wine Tasting and Dinner Cruise. The staff were fantastic where the views from the boat especially the sunset were beautiful. The wine and dinner were delicious.
Absolutely terrible experience. Boat decided to go out despite incredibly rough conditions on the water. A small craft advisory was in place. None of this was disclosed to those on board. People were miserable, unable to walk around, falling, very little drinking, plenty of people sick, terrible atmosphere. This was a Browns game day cruise. We didn’t make it to the island until the first quarter was nearly done.Manager on board showed no sympathy towards the conditions passengers dealt with or how late we were for arriving. This boat should have never left, but ownership was clearly in it to make their money. Can’t recommend ever doing this. Bought a one-way ticket to take the Express Jet back to Sandusky.
Very cool!!
We do a Browns cruise once a year and this one was awesome despite the 2+ hour trip each way in rough water. My only complaint would be lack of communication from the captain that the trip was going to take forever. Browns won 40-25!
Was great fun and relaxing as well. Whatever you wanted from the experience either way. Very reasonably priced
My gfs and I had a blast this past Saturday. The Island cruise was a relaxing 2 hrs and the captain provided additional information that was interesting about the area. It was extremely reasonable including the bar prices.
I hosted groups on the Goodtime I two days in a row and I could not have been more pleased!!! The captain and the crew were wonderful! I was especially impressed by the First Mate, Lake. He did everything he could to make sure our trip went smoothly. Captain John was also wonderful!!My group is looking forward to repeating our trip next year. We will definitely be back!
Far from a goodtime. My boyfriend and I and our friends thought it would be fun to take a Browns cruise. The water was so rough on our trip a window of the ship completely shattered. Then, water started pouring in and knocking over all the bottles behind the bar. Shortly following that disaster, a man decided to start vomiting directly next to me and in an attempt to escape this I decided to use the restroom. And, while I was in the restroom we hit yet another large wave and the water started pouring in up to my knees from the back of the boat. Our money should have been refunded and the cruise should have never of taken off.
The first thing is, the boat is small and slow. There are no fixed seating any where. With that said, if you rent the boat for a night, you can set up seating area as you like. Have a dance floor. So as a party boat, its cool. One more thing, no bathroom on the upper level. If I want to get to the islands fast, this is not the choice I would make.
From Sandusky island hopping was fun we took a small cooler//wheels with sandwiches cheese/pepperoni crackers & grapes and drinks. Rented a gulf cart at each island & had a picnic in the shade along the lake. Wonderful trip to and from on the boat the captain and crew made everyone feel welcome.
Booked the Kelley’s island + Put-in Bay tour because it was a very reasonably priced way to see both islands. They ask you to get there 30min to 1hr early, which is not necessary! You do have to check in, but we actually left late so ended up waiting to depart for over an hour. The upper deck of the boat does not have fixed seating, and we happened to have rough waters the morning we left so chairs were sliding all over the place, and one guests chair collapsed under her. The staff was nice enough, and they do have a bar on board if you are wanting a drink, which may be the case as the ride to each island is an hour, so prepare yourself for a slow cruise vs. straight to business like the nearby jet express. We ended up having to take the jet express back from our first stop (Kelley’s island) because the waters were so rough that morning I got a little seasick from the Goodtime cruise. Not their fault, but consider that if you are prone to motion sickness!
First off I do not ever expect a crew and/or team to be able to predict the weather. Yet, this weather was not a surprise yesterday on the 29th. We did take two hours to get to Kelleys and it definitely was a rough ride. The bartenders and band did a great job. However, the ride home was beyond worse and the bigger picture should have been looked at prior to not canceling this event. My boyfriend and I were a few feet from the window that broke with him and I trying to get out of the way of the Jager/Fireball machine that flew off the counter. Thankfully no one was hurt. I will add now that overnight ricing of my phone did not correct the issue my phone is water damaged, both cameras and microphone. This is only again due to the boat being out on the water when it should not have been. The reason I wont recommend this event is because of the employee who made two comments. One to me stating No need to panic - not a sorry or can I get you anything. Then to my boyfriend who asked for a towel or something to help dry our things. To which he responded arrogantly How about you dont sit in front of a broken window. Maybe he didnt know that we were sitting there prior to the wave crashing through of he just truly needs help with the customer experience. All in all this event should have been cancelled. Everyone understands that Lake Erie is volatile. The deal breaker for me is the lack of customer service or care. We were very lucky that no one got hurt whether us or anyone else on board the ship. Again the two girls that were bartending downstairs were fantastic and so were the young men running crew. The tall bald gentleman leaves a lot to be desired. While a different way to experience the islands I will never recommend this company to anyone. There is no way our money was worth our safety or that of the employees onboard.
Had a great time seeing the islands. Captain and crew were very courteous. Loved it. Would go again.
Took my sister last night. Music was great but I think if your going to have a party cruise you should have enough alcohol for the whole cruise. They ran out of several types of alcohol not even half way through the night. Wasnt as crouded as I thought it was going to be but that worked out good because the dance floor wasnt that big and is only on the top deck. I feel like there was pleant of room if there was music also played through speakers on the bottom deck too where the bar is located. Bar tender was very nice. Bouncers seemed nice too and very tolerant of girls trying to dance for them. They never once that I saw had a reaction to it and was always respectful. Despite the lack of alcohol that I liked, we all had a good time.
Great time on Goodtime 1 hosted by Small City Taphouse and Perennial Ales. Weather was perfect and the entertainment was great, plus the beer was good. What more could you ask for?
The good-time 1 does lots of different cruises and they are always a good time
Enjoyable, little cruise. Very peaceful and relaxing!
My husband and I took the party cruise on 7/7/17 it was our 10 yr anniversary and we had so much fun DJ was awesome drinks werent to bad weather was great seen mustang Sally at pib they were great just overall a great time cant wait to go back
Excellant time..nice cruise and staff
The Goodtime ship is rickety and needs a paint job as do some of the buildings around there the nice sidewalks and benches to look at on the lakes are nice though
Wasnt a whole lot to look at. But it was a relaxing thing to do after a long day
This is a wonderful cruise We had a blast
Good times 1Very old boat.It doesnt sell cooked items. You are limited to chips, soda, alcohol. We saw one group bring carered food on board but that may have been prearranged. The crew and captain maintain their schedule which I appreciated but most of the narrated history could not be heard on upper deck. The boat is slow, loud and reaked of deisel smell. The Jet express whipped past us despite leaving the port almost half an hour after us.I would recommend this cruise for older folks.Bartender was nice .Still enjoyed overall.
Came from MI to work a pride fest on Saturday in Sandusky. Weather was terrible. My husband reserved tickets (never got Any tickets at all) just a slip of paper and was unclear whether money was taken out. We had to go back to MI because the weather was too bad to continue working the pride fest so we packed up early. He went back shortly after to make sure we were square with not being charged seeing how we were leaving ASAP. No one was at their little rinky dink operation. They also would not answer the phone or any VM that was left. We explained the situation and the manager didn’t care. How can you charge us 82 bucks for services NOT RENDERED? do these LOOK LIKE TICKETS TO ANYONE? Chemp operation. Poor customer service and THIEVES.
You just cant beat the relaxing atmosphere
Hop aboard the Erie Islands cruises every summer for a fun time.
Mask rule not followed good
Had a great time. They sure have a good time.
Always a good time! Wonderful staff!
Excellent customer service
I love taking a boat ride on the lake. They have a really fun booze cruise on Friday nights.
Terrible experience. Was asked by the captain to not stop at Kelleys island and to ride to Sandusky and then be put straight on a boat back to Kelleys island due to poor weather conditions. We agreed to the extra hour trip past the island to make sure the boat and passengers were safe. We arrive at Sandusky greeted by a man who tells us our boat doesnt leave for 2 more hours. So stuck in Sandusky while all our camping gear is getting soaked on the island. Would not recommend to anyone for any cruise terrible service.
Really enjoyed this. Guitar entertainment was great
Great thing to end a beautiful day!
You may think you are having a goodtime until you get off the boat. The cops wait for you and the Booze Cruise is spoiled. The cops wait there for you, so they can collect your $$. What a trap! Not fun anymore and I wasnt even driving !!!!
Great staff great value
They dont even deserve one star drive five hours for this cruise and called and ask about reservations and was told we would not need reservations, even drove earlier in the day to find the place arrived early to by tickets and said without a reservation they were sold out. SMH, poorly run business.
Awesome staff and great cruises!
The boat was too old and dusty
Nice boat ride and good fellowship
I need to take another vacation soon, this place is kicking
Good way to see the islands.
