Nick and his assistant (Sam) did a wonderful job clearing 14 trees in the front of my property. Nick is a very honest and responsive owner who takes great pride in his business. Communications throughout the process were excellent and he easily accommodated changes in the scope of work during the cutting and removal stages. I wouldnt hesitate to use Nick again and highly recommend his services!

NOW IS THE TIME TO CALL BIG NICK!!!Seeing that it looks like we are going to have a rough winter we wanted to be proactive and get some big trees down BEFORE they fell on our house!!Once again we called THE PROFESSIONALS AT BIG NICKs TREE SERVICE!! Big Nick, Sam and Chet came out and took down 8 more trees for us and now we can sleep peacefully knowing that they are not going to come down on our house! We had a big tree fall on our house last winter during a wind sotrm and we NEVER want to live through that again!DONT DELAY CALL BIG NICK TODAY!!!!UPDATE: On Friday 13 March 2020 we had a GIGANTIC PINE TREE hit our house during the big winterstorm. We were scared to death that it was going to snap in half and wreck even more of the house or seesaw and take out the kitchen or roll off the roof and hit my truck which was blocked in by it!! IT WAS SCARY! The wind was whipping the fallen tree as it leaned up against our house.We called BIG NICK and he and Sam came out and saved our house from anymore damage! It took them a little while as it was dangerous but they took this giant pine apart piece by piece and gently lowered the pieces to the ground. Thanks to these guys we did not suffer anymore damage!! We called Nick about 3 birch trees we had that were surrounded on 3 sides by our house and garage. Nick came right out and gave us an estimate and the price was the price even though his crew went the extra mile when it came to clean up and chipping!Sam is the tree climber/cutter and he is the MOZART OF CHAINSAWS! He stood on the ground in front of the trees for about 3 minutes and then up he went to the heavens hanging off branches as big as your wrist. He systematically took the tree down piece by piece and dropped each piece in the same spot. NOT ONE TWIG TOUCHED ANY OF OUR ROOFS!!! It was amazing to watch. A true expert!!!!!Nathan, the ground guy, was in constant motion and assisted Sam and kept the chipper shredder fed.We are more than pleased with BIG NICK TREE MANAGEMENT and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO EVERYONE!!

Nick delivered exactly as promised - very efficient and lots of huge equipment to get the job done. He removed 9 large Ponderosa/Douglas Fir trees near our house without harming the land around them or damaging the landscaping/driveway. As with so many things, you get what you pay for. My driveway was sided by heavily overgrown forest. I was concerned that if we had a fire we couldnt safely get out. After spending several years working on it myself I decided to get some help. I came across his team working in two separate locations. They appeared very competent and worked very hard. I called Nick for a bid and he showed up the next day. We walked the property and he made sure that he understood what I wanted. He then sent me a bid with all the details. I expected the work to take at least a week, however his crew hustled through rain and shine and completed the work in two days. Following completion Nick and I walked the property to make sure that everything was done to my satisfaction. If anything, they over performed. I called Nick when a very large pine tree blew over on our property. He was extremely busy with other damage around the area, but he came and took care of the urgent work right away. He kept me informed about when he could get over to do the non-urgent work and got to that as soon as possible. Nick and his crew took out and cleaned up some trees twice over a month period. On the night after they had taken out two large trees for us a windstorm took out 6-8 more. The clean-up was handled in in a very professional, efficient and timely manner despite the large volume of work they were handling due to the storm.He was responsive during the jobs and charged a fair price. We were victims of the Friday March 13th windstorm that dropped a 110 foot pine on our shop!! We called insurance and googled for help and we hit the jackpot! We found Nicks website and called Saturday a.m. With all the hectic craziness of wind, power outage and fallen trees he answered and committed to helping us with our problem. He came out and took a look, made a plan, and eased our worry. He kept in touch with us until Wednesday when he came out with his partner and a crane with operator. They were amazing!! What a super guy and crew. A real perfectionist! They had to cut that tree into about 10 sections and lift it off the roof. Nick is an expert at what he does and very committed to his profession. On March 13, 2020 Sandpoint Idaho and the surrounding areas were hit with one of the worst wind storms on record causing a massive amount of huge trees to fall, root balls and all. We personally lost 3 in our yard with one of those trees falling on our house!We called Nick immediately and he was out to our house early the next morning. It was still windy and we feared the tree would snap from the weight over the house causing more damage to the roof. Nick and Sam climbed up onto the tree and roof and brought each limb down one by one with a zip line ensuring there would be absolutely no more damage to our roof.Nick and Sam are professionals! Big Nicks Tree Management was on time for the removal of three large trees. The trees were very close together and were over a garden area, close to the house and another garage. There was no damage to any property. Cleanup was excellent with limbs in the chopper and haul away of the trees. Nick then did additional cleanup with raking surrounding area. After completion the yard and garden was perfect. I would recommend Big Nicks Tree Management company to anyone. Nick was courteous and helpful in all my questions before starting the job. He is safety conscious for himself his employees and the homeowner and their property. Nick will be the only person to remove any trees on my property.

Recently, a wind storm came through Sandpoint and a tree in my side yard fell on my roof. I called Nick at 7:30 in the morning. He was able to be at my house by mid day and the tree was quickly cut up. They were also very careful not to cause any damage.

I had a tree fall on a garage in wind storm. I called Nick and he was on the job within two hours of my call. He had to adjust his plan once he arrived to avoid further damage to the structure. The adjustment involved him taking down a huge Cottonwood that was leaning on the the garage piece by piece with a boom lift and a chain saw, while the wind was still blowing between 30 -50 MPH. He took great care not to cause any further damage and was very easy to work with throughout. To top it off, he did this all on the due date for he and his wifes child. The timing worked out and he had to head to the midwife right after completing the job. Would highly recommend Nick for all of your tree related needs!
