I have had watch batteries replaced many times over my life and this experience has never ever happened to me before. I brought my TAG WATERPROOF watch to 200 meters in for a battery change. I was asked if I would like to have it sent out to be waterproof tested. Of course there is an extra charge for this. My response was absolutely a yes. Being that I have never gone diving and rarely go in a pool, I felt that I needed that extra guarantee anyway for piece of mind. It took 6 weeks to get the watch back but that was not a problem. I do however live on the east coast. I went in a swimming pool when I returned home in a few weeks with the watch on and didn’t even get my hair wet, but when I came out, the watch was fogged over and no longer running. Within two days, the face and hands were corroded.It was now the beginning of COVID and I wasn’t going to the post office, let alone back to California. I called and spoke to the owner of the store and sent him an email. He said when I bring it in, it will be fixed. The watch sat for a year. At first they said they were not responsible for waterproofing. If they claim they are not responsible, they shouldn’t be doing it or charging for it. They did however take the watch in and work on it. I asked them to send me a picture of the watch before they sent it back so I can see that it was done correctly. The picture was from so far away, I could hardly tell it was my watch. I did notice after enlarging the photo that all the hands were not replaced. Again I asked for a close up picture. It never came. They said they were too busy. Eventually the battery, hands and O rings were changed but not the corroded face. Again they claim they are not responsible. This is not acceptable to me. Who knows how long this watch will run. I would not bring any other items I own to a place like this that does not stand behind their work. This was not a cheap watch. Thank god I didn’t bring them my Reverso by Jaeger LeCoultre worth over $50,000

After a 20 year search, I have found my perfect jewelry store. Jonathan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in answering all of my questions. My favorite personal jewelry was repaired in no time at a very reasonable price. Noteworthy is their gorgeous display of eye candy, it’s a definite treat to stop by.

I found gold rush they were so nice and willing to try and get my ring done by Christmas.I decided to send my mothers ring in the mail to get a stone replaced and the band unbent. It came out better than I expected since it was such an old worn ring, I recommend sending your jewelry there very quick and polite.

My wifes Movado started running a bit slow, and its out of warranty. After giving up on trying to reach the Authorized Service Center in SF, I realized that I could go to any watchmaker. I found Gold Rush and went to their Santa Rosa store. Steve F. was there, and right away diagnosed the problem as possibly being minor. Instead of sending it off to the watchmaker first, I left the watch and he did some adjustments in-house. Two days later, it was running fine. There was a minimal charge for this service. Steve also fixed my friends watch, who had a battery incorrectly replaced somewhere else. He did this while we waited, no charge. Honest, friendly, knowledgeable service at reasonable rates. What else could one want?

Purchased my wife’s ring from Gold Rush’s San Rafael store back in 2001. After 17 years of marriage, my wife wouldn’t let me buy her a new one. Instead, we took it back to Gold Rush and had the center stone upgraded. The help I received was tremendous and very much needed. I brought my wife in to inspect the final work and she was more than thrilled with how beautiful they had her ring looking. She left happy and my wallet was left in good shape as well. Took my 7 year old to get her ears pierced here. Jamie talked me through the process over the phone and even suggested to have the owner Rick, come in and do both ears at the same time. They were both really kind, and my daughter said it didn’t hurt as bad as the flu shot.I felt better about coming here than Claire’s. Their earrings are solid gold and they have a nice selection of piercing studs, plus they are a local family-owned business. I’ll definitely be coming back when my next kiddo is ready. I whole heartedly recommend them.

Have an exotic Swiss watch that several experts said had to be shipped back to the factory for battery replacement. Gold Rush did it in 10 minutes, for the promised (coupon) price. Gold Rush is my go-to place every time I get married! Seriously, (Don’t judge) I have been down this road a couple of times and GR was the right place to go both times. I wasn’t super interested in Tiffany’s 280% mark-up and I was not going to hit the mall for my future wife - so this place ended up being the perfect fit. Their prices are reasonable and they have a great selection AND access to amazing stones from all over. What became clear to me immediately was the owner had made connections over his career and people trusted him, so he could get beautiful stones. My wife was so impressed by the quality of craftsmanship when the stone and ring came together. I wanted a particular stone so they ordered it and it came within 48 hours. The staff at Gold Rush is really knowledgeable and they have an on-site jeweler who was able to size and engrave my ring. Go here.

The middle aged man who works there was extremely rude and really has no place bringing this fine establishment down. The guy never introduced himself, made snide remarks at customers belongings, which really gave his coworkers a great example of how a business should never be operated. It’s not a pawnshop, it’s a classy business. Play your part, or just leave. No one wants negative energy in a positive environment. Conclusively, I hope you guys find out who it is sooner than later. No business should have to put up with negative energy in their work force.

I’ve never been as disrespected and dismissed as I was when I went to Gold Rush Jewelers. I brought my engagement ring here the day after my fiancé proposed to have it resized as it was to large. I dropped it off and payed (around $90) as soon as they opened and was told to come back at 4:00 to pick it up. Great. I show up at four and am given back my ring. As I’m walking back to my truck I realize a diamond is missing! I immediately walk back inside and show who I soon find out is the manager. This woman was beyond rude. She takes the ring from me, sees where the missing diamond should be and just shrugs stating “it must have fallen out while being cleaned” she then says she’ll keep the ring and have her “master jeweler” find and put the diamond back in, and to again return the next day at four to pick up the ring. Not once did she acknowledge or apologize for there mistake. So the next day I come back to pick up the ring and when I arrive home I realize something about it is not right, the side they “repaired” does not match the undamaged side. I bring the ring to Deleuse Jewelers in fairfax and he confirms that they put the WRONG SIZE DIAMOND IN! The diamond they put in was significantly smaller than the diamond they lost! He also says that the way they “repaired it” caused so much damage the ring will likely never look the same again! So now I return to Gold Rush for a third time, to have to deal with the same manager who again takes the ring from me saying she will fix it and to return at four. When I return, I ask how the wrong diamond put in there. She says because it was the only diamond in the cleaner her “master jeweler” just assumed it was the missing diamond from my ring and shoved it back in there. As I’m asking her questions and inspecting my ring she is being beyond rude and dismissive stating that the ring is fine and in fact “better than when I originally brought it to her to be resized”. All in all i payed Gold Rush Jewelry $90 to treat me with no respect and to destroy my engagement ring. If you care about being treated like a human being and don’t want your jewelry permanently damaged i would suggest going elsewhere.

I have just had a remarkable experience with Gold Rush. My wife inherited a very old Omega watch from her mother many years ago, which has been sitting forgotten in a drawer all this time. A few days ago, she found it and we discovered that the stem didn’t work and the watch couldnt be wound nor its time set. I took it to Gold Rush, and Jamie came right over to help me. After spending several minutes examining it and verifying the problem she took it back to the jeweler’s workshop to get his opinion. In a few minutes Jamie’s colleague Cici brought it back to me. It had been totally fixed, wound, and set, and has kept perfect time ever since. And the amazing thing is that when I asked how much I owed, they both insisted that there was no charge. What a great and kind place.

Disappointed with service . I brought in a necklace I wore everyday for 10 years when it finally broke . They fixed it in 5 mins charged 20 and I wore it 3 days later when it was broken again . The said it broke in a different place and again charged 20, for 5 min work . I wore it once 2 days later and it fell apart with no provocation . When brought it back they again wanted 20 and said it was my fault. At this point I felt they did not stand by their work . Perhaps they should have said dont bother fix this necklace as youll be back every 3 days and well charge 20 each time .
