I brought a new custom challenge and they knocked it out for me.. Had an amazing good attitude the entire time. They even found some previous repairs that were incorrect and helped me fix them.. I know that my family is safer now..

Horrendous place, the only reason they got a 1 star is because you have to leave that or I would have given them less. Extremely poor attitude, the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced with a mechanic shop. You’re better off hiring some guy off the streets rather than go with these guys. Save yourself the time and MONEY and go to a real professional shop, instead of some scam artists like these guys. Such a disgrace that they even operate how they do.

This review was about Joes Crab Shack in Lubbock.The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was disappointing. I had a shrimp sampler and all the shrimp were small. The bacon wrapped shrimp were so crispy the bacon would fall off if touched or Id put the whole thing in my mouth and try to get the tail off but part of it would be in my mouth. We are from Houston and have bigger shrimp I guess.We did have some crab dip on the appetizer and it was delicious.No...we wont be going back.

Tell me why some time ago when I went to go get the radiator to my truck replaced the fan shroud was broken for easy access. plus the bolts that hold the fan shroud were never placed back... now it hits the fan and makes it obnoxious sounds that it wasn’t making before. I’m Kinda driving a dangerous vehicle now. Just saying pretty shady.

Been living in San Marcos for 5 years and this was the most affordable and friendly mechanic shop Ive found. They let you bring your own part and work pretty fast. However they do have a lot of business so it may take 2+ days so plan accordingly.

We really appreciate Spankys because they were very professional and quick. We needed some simple tuning and they did it for a great price and fast.

I stopped at advance so the guys there could check out a suspicious noise and they recommended I go to Spankys. I wound up needing a new water pump and belt replaced. I gave them the keys on Tuesday and picked up my car that Thursday; I was impressed with the quick work and reasonable prices. Would recommend.

This place is pretty good and close to the Texas State campus. I do feel they overcharged me, but I guess its a matter of convenience as I wasnt in the area. Overall fairly responsive and the service was decent. The reviews seemed really good, but I feel are service was probably a little below that.

There is NOWHERE BETTER you could possibly take your car in San Marcos, or in all of Texas in my opinion. Ive been coming here for years, since I was a naive 18 year old, throughout the span of 3 cars and they have always been beyond reasonable and QUICK! I had to get my transmission replaced once and only took 3 days. They really care about their clientele and will go out of their way to help you, and I have NEVER had any further issues with any repair theyve ever done. High quality service and efficient, and reasonable, seriously what more could you ask for?

WARNING be careful with this shop they will try to rip you off. I bought a cat back exhaust system for my truck which is a direct bolt on. Called for estimate they wanted to charge me for 4 to 5 hours of work at $450. All other shops estimated 1 to 2 hours at $150. If I had the tools I could install myself! Please call around before going here!

I loved this place. They had great customer service and took the time to explain everything that was wrong with my car patiently. The quote they gave me was $50 less than 3 other places I had gone to and they were able to fix an additional issue with my car for less. They had it done in 3 hours as promised and made sure to check for any further issues when they were done. I will never go to any other mechanic.

My son had issues last weekend. Spanky’s was one of the few places open on Saturday. We dropped it off just before closing and had it back on Monday. I don’t know anything about cars, but my husband says we got a fair shake on the price.

My husband had to get his truck examined due to his check engine light. This place not only inspected it, but the guy (John) went over all possible issues it could be so that my husband could buy the parts he needed and attempt to fix it himself....hoping to save money. This is an honorable place.

I went to talk to Thomas about his upcoming wedding, but he had already left.

Got stuck and needed a tow. Called Spankys. They gave me a very reasonable quote over the phone, came out quick, excellent customer service and charged less than quoted price. Thats customer service. Just taking care of the customer. I appreciate it Spankys. Youve got my business. Thank you!

I went to visit my friend that works there. I was very impressed with the shop and mechanics.

Spankys is hands down the best repair shop in San Marcos. They have worked on my car multiple times now for motor issues and A/C and I have never had less than a 5☆ experience. Spanky always makes sure to let me know exactly what the problem is with my car and he explains the cost down to details. They always have great prices and everyone that works here is super nice and personable. They can usually get the parts to fix your car in the same day from another local business. I would never go anywhere else. I recommend Spankys 100% keep up the good work guys!

They left a loose bracket on my muffler after replacing my catalytic converter and told me I needed over 300 dollars worth of work that didnt need done. Also tried to lie to my girlfriend and say she needed all new rotors when all she needed was brake pads. Dont use this awful place!!

These guys were very up front with me about pricing and kept me up to speed with the status of my vehicle. They did GREAT

While the can take a long time with you vehicle, they will not overcharge you and suggested things you dont need. In fact the will suggest that you buy the parts then come back to have them installed, which will save you 💰.

These guys are honest, friendly, efficient and highly skilled. Theyve done work for me many times when Ive been in binds and needed repair work and have always been fair and reasonably priced, even volunteering to give rides homes . What more could you ask for?

I took my VW Jetta to be fixed because the ac wasnt working correctly. After they took a look at it (and didnt charge me anything), they found I was going to have to replace the whole ac system. Instead of charging me $1,500+ to fix it, they told me to take it to the dealership because it was still under warranty. I took it to the dealership and got it fixed for no cost. I am so glad I took it to Spankys first and they were honest people who didnt just want my money. I will be using this shop from now on. Its awesome to know of a mechanic shop that you can trust.

They made me set up an appointment, dropped off my car, waste about 5 hours just to tell me they did not have time to look at my car. what a waste of time!

Came because it was one of very few places open on Saturday when i could bring my car by. Problem was what i figured it would be (ac compressor). Quote was about what i was expecting, although labor wasnt as much as i thought.I bring my car back to get the work done and when i pick it up they let me know that they dont think the new compressor is cooling it well enough, so they want to warranty it out. I had to leave town, but when i came back they swapped out the new compressor for a new new compressor for free (under warranty)I was surprised a place would do this, it was very nice to see that they cared about the work they did, and want it to be the best it can be.Overall i would recommend this place to anyone needing auto repair, my only complaint is that they are always busy so you just have to drop your car off, but its also expected when they do good work.

DO NOT GO HERE. They replaced my water pump, since it was leaking and my car had overheated. They told me they replaced my water pump and the hose, and charged me over $500 to fix this. My dad was the one who had previously changed my water pump, and when I finally went home, he checked to see what they fixed, and he told me that this is the same water pump that he had installed a couple years ago, and that all they changed was the hose. I should sue these guys for taking advantage of broke college students. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU WHEN YOURE DESPERATE.
