Goodyear San Marcos did a great job. The service manager Chris Case was very knowledgeable and helped me select the perfect tires for my truck. I also purchased the insurance after he explained the value to me. Worth protecting my investment. The installation was quick, service fantastic and my truck has never felt so good on the road. Thank you Chris and the team, I will definitely recommend you to anyone searching for tires and automotive care.
I set an appointment with this Goodyear location yesterday, and today from my experience I had to come on and write a review. Mike and his team here are some of the most honest and hardworking professionals in the auto industry. They give 10% discounts for Texas State students, and only recommend what you really need. I planned on getting 4 new tires, but they insisted that I didnt need to replace the back two and saved $300. I normally dont write reviews, but this shop rocks. 5/5
These guys got me out of a serious bind. They didn’t have to help me at all cause they were very busy, but they were so nice about it and truly saved me. Honest and nice guys- I don’t know what more you could ask. Forever grateful to this group!
I have been coming to this location for several years. Chris and Mike in the front area have worked with me on everything from getting new tires to helping to diagnose and fix tricky check engine light issues. The best thing about this place for me is the fact that I have never felt like they were taking advantage of me. I don’t know a lot about cars but these guys have always taken the time to explain what the problem is and explain the pros and cons of my different options.
The service provided at Goodyear San Marcos was excellent . I was able to get my vehicle in the next day and they provided an accurate estimate .
My tires were low on pressure, and they helped me check the PSI and filled them back up to where they should have been at no charge. Very kind and friendly staff!
Mike and Chris at Goodyear on Hopkins have been over the top since I have been coming here. I have a 2000 Toyota 4Runner, and with an older vehicle I have to find the right people that I trust to work on my vehicle. Both of these gentleman have done great work, and have offered amazing service on top of that. I drive from Austin to San Marcos because of them. Thank yall both so much for what yall do! This is one Completely Satisfied Customer!
Great service, the wait was short and Mike went out of his way to pick my tires from another store!! Amazing service.
Goodyear of San Marcos is amazing. See Chris for all your car and truck needs. Fantastic prices, incredible professionalism, fast service! The waiting room is clean and has tables to work at with secure Cisco Meraki WIFI and a play area for children. They have earned 100% of my future business!
Couldn’t ask for a better experience! Excellent customer service and a hard working team!Thank You Good Year San Marcos. I’ll be referring everyone! -Corey
Always a great experience at Good Year San Marcos.
Down to earth guys, very helpful!
I came in with the car today because my wife is driving to Florida this weekend and I wanted it checked out. The person helping me was very knowledgeable and explained what the check engine light problem was, and it looks like I am getting all new tires as they were very long overdue. I am giving 5 stars because they gave me peace of mind that the trip will be safe. I will be returning in the future to this location if I have any others needs for sure!
They DO NOT provide state inspection as indicated.
Excellent customer service and attention to our needs. Staff congenial and courteous. Thank you !
I had a flat tire, and they fixed it for free! when it was close to closing time. Im New to San Marcos and I will be bringing my car back there when I need service
Went in for a front end alignment change. They were pretty quick at getting it done and I didn’t have any issues with them. They were friendly.
Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. I would definitely recommend coming here for any of your vehicles needs!
Great place for tires! Always in stock and fast service.
They scratched my brand new paint job and management refused to acknowledge of course he has to defend himself but that dont take the scratches away
Wife had a flat and these guys fixed it for free! Thanks to then she was able to get to the soccer game with minimal delay!
Staff very friendly and handled repairs in a timely manner. No surprises!
Honest and reliable repairs. They go above and beyond to help their customers.
I went to autozone and they hooked up this machine to my car free. Goodyear charged me 60 bucks to do the same thing and then they didnt even apply that $60 charge to the services they provided. In fact they added another $60 because the guy had to open my hood. They did not apply that $60 to my bill either. Im not sure about the workmanship yet, but I really dont care. All I know is that these guys will never get another dollar from me.
One of my tires wasnt holding air so I drove it in today. I picked this shop because they are close to campus, so I could walk to my building if it was going to take a while to get the tire fixed. They had it repaired in less than half an hour, and everyone working was super friendly! Ive only got about a year left on my degree, but for the rest of the time Im in San Marcos, theyve got my business. I highly recommend this location!!
The employees at this Goodyear store are always helpful and give great advise. I love it because they find a way to help any way they can. If price is an issue ask to see if they have anyway to help. They offer 10% off student discounts and military discounts. They even have a Goodyear credit card offer. This helped me because when I bought my tires it doubled the the rebate and gave me 6 months no interest on top of that. I cant tell you enough about them, they will take care of you in anyway they can. If they cant for some reason they will direct you to a place that can.
Great service, reasonable prices
They quickly filled up our tires when we were passing through with a rental that had low PSI. Nice, friendly and responsive!
I purchased two new tires here and the service was friendly and efficient! They are located in downtown San Marcos so you can take a nice stroll around the square while youre waiting. They also have a nice big waiting area with AC, coffee and tvs.
Pulled in about 40 minutes before they closed. Mike, the manager, was very helpful. He diagnosed the problem and got us back on the road. Great service.
They were very helpful to me and the issues that my vehicle had
All 3 of the guys up front are awesome. Honest and fairly priced work.
Waited 3 hours for an oil change WITH an appointment. Phones were going off and no one answered. Poor example of good Management. Save yourself some time & Avoid this place
I went in to have my air conditioner looked at... They had a sign that said $9.99 A/C check. I went in and told the lady my AC had just stopped working the day before, and i needed it looked at. She asked me if i could leave my car there for about a half and hour, as their tech had stepped out. I obliged, but before i handed her the keys, i left specific instructions for them not to go billing me for anything until i knew what was the matter. She called me about 20 minutes later to let me know the tech was back, and i told her i was on the way. Upon my arrival, she hands me an invoice for $297.00!! I calmly explained to her that i asked HER, personally, not get crazy on the billing, and re-pointed out the sign for $9.99 ac checks... She said Oh, thats just to turn the knobs. I was blown away.. I repeated that i asked her not to start fixing anything before i knew the price. She takes the $297 bill back, and replaces ot with a $39.99 invioce... Again, i was flabbergasted. Instead of tossing a fit, i paid the bill and started to leave. She stopped me to remind me that i forgot my reciept... I was truly taken back when i asked her what the reciept was for, since they didnt do anything. Anyways, not meaning to rant on, but long story short, this place is a scam. Misleading signs, and dishonest costomer service reps. Ill never be back.
Lonnie and Juan were the best. Great customer service and quick service.
Complete and total rip off.Do not go.Do your research and find yourself a good and honest mechanic who can do the work for EXTREMLY less.
Had a horrible experience with Firestone on wednesday 6/24/17. I called Chris ( service manager) explained my dilemma and he immediately got me in. He and his entire team was so nice and kept me informed the whole time. I also had a couple of small concerns that he was able to address and get taken care of for me. This location was so accommodating and curtious that I had no problem making a $1000+ tire purchase for my husbands truck!! This is what TRUE customer service is all about!! Thank you Chris for a job superbly done!! We will definitely keep our business with you!!
Trustworthy. . Good place to make sure your kid is taken care of.
They said my wait would take over an hour but they were looking at it within 20 minutes! awesome team and great customer service.
First and foremost:I admit that I am NOT knowledgeable about car maintenance, in truth, I dont even know how to change a tire on a vehicle. That said, I rely on trustworthy auto shops.Goodyear Auto Service Center in San Marcos, TX has lost my trust and continued support as my main go-to for anything having to deal with my car. Allow me to explain, and as always, theres two part to every story; this is mine:I scheduled an appointment for my car on July 5, 2018 (Thursday) to have my car checked for a road trip on July 8, 2018 (Sunday). Please keep in mind that I recently brought my car in for an oil change and inspection on March 13, 2018; approximately 4 months prior and everything then was in great condition.I was informed on July 5, 2018 that my RF AXLE IS BLOWN, SLINGING GREASE. Of course, any reasonable person will think to themselves: How? Why? Since when? I was given an estimate on the parts and labor: $859.80 - and this is just for the Right Front Axle. I was also informed that I had no oil. Again, a reasonable person will ask: How can that be when I just had an oil change a few months ago and isnt actually due for an oil change? As mentioned, I admit my ignorance - and it shows... since Ive asked numerous questions about it. How could I have blown my axle when my car has only been used for commuting purposes (to and from work and school) and I dont drive like a lunatic? I just purchased my car in January from Nissan of New Braunfels. One of my questions was: Is the car still drive-able? Can I make a round-trip to Colorado Springs and when I return I will have the car fixed? The reply? Yes, the only issue would be that if the steering wheel starts shaking, the axle is badly damaged. So off on my road trip I went. I arrived to Colorado Springs on Monday, July 9, 2018 (left on Sunday July 8) with no problems. I took numerous stops and long breaks to give the car a chance to rest - I stop at every main city on my route for at least an hour.Fast forward to Friday the 13 - spooky, I know. Barely out of Colorado Springs, my car started smoking white from the tailpipe. My car wont accelerate pass 50mph. The steering is fine, the smoke and acceleration was the issue.I pulled off to the side and called my insurance (Kudos to Geico!) and got our car towed to the nearest Nissan Dealership in Pueblo, Colorado. It was in the late afternoon and their service department was closed for the day. So we spent the night nearby and arrived first thing in the morning.Special shout out to the technician and service advisor of Dave Solon Nissan in Pueblo, Colorado! They showed me the issues, explained in details while pointing to each part, and showed me under the car. They waived numerous fees so we could afford to get home (and Im deeply thankful for that!).What they told me? Well, it was NOT the axle that was blown (or the axle shaft for that matter - it was simply just the CV boots and the car was still drive-able but the CV boots will need to be replaced soon (and it will be in the next few days). So why does Goodyear want to fix the entire axle/axle shaft when its just the CV boots? Hmm... Ripping me off? You be the judge. Now, as for the white smoke and failure to accelerate - the problem was two-folds: 1.) the air filter for the engine was not securely shut (and theyve explained to me what happens when it isnt) and 2.) the oil has been overfilled. So then... I never, ever, look under my hood (tho, thats about to change) - and the last person to do so was Goodyear. Which brings me to believe that they failed to properly secure the engine air filter and they overfilled my oil (when, clearly stated in the invoice, that there was no oil on the dipstick)... so did they actually check my oil? You be the judge. Many people had advised that I should talk with Goodyear for my money back. Well, I could... but Id rather not deal with it. Excuses are rampant with Goodyear of San Marcos. Id suck it up and call it a loss.
I chose to go to Goodyear to get an oil change because I had a coupon from the back of an HEB receipt ($17.99, I think it was). When I got to Goodyear, they said they could not honor the coupon because the oil filter for my car costs twice that of most cars ($14ish instead of $7ish). It was nice to know this before I actually got the oil change done, but since I had other things to do, I had them do the oil change anyway. This was the first time I actually had to haggle a coupon and they ended up giving me a few bucks discount. With tax and everything, I didnt save any money at all and could have gone to a place more convenient to me. Its too bad they were stingy over a few dollars because I will never spend another dollar there again. If you have a coupon, call before you go to make sure they will honor it so you dont waste your time or money!!
What a lack of customer service oriented people, I scheduled an appt to bring my car and get a shuttle service as stated on their website. They were not able to receive the car nor the shuttle service, their website for appts is useless.Wasted my time
They really do amazing, honest work here.
Ive gone here twice and both times my car left with alternator/battery issues that it didnt have going in, which revealed themselves both a day after getting my car back from their shop in the form of my car battery dying while I was on the road. Bad luck? Planting issues for business? Idk but Im not going back
Very rude person waited on me and gave me the free Emergency Roadside Kit. I appreciated the free Emergency Roadside Kit, but I did not appreciate the rude attitude that I got from your Cashier.
AVOID this shop for any mechanical repair/replacement work. Long story.
Great place to do business!
Friendly, great service.
Great job, great service! Thank you guys
2hrs to change out one tire, ridiculous.
Cheap oil changes but I had to wait 3 hours even though I made an appointment.
Took 2 hours for an oil change even though I made an appointment. Charged me extra for things I didnt ask for. When they were finished, the mechanic didnt even know how to turn off The oil change light. Unless you have no other choice, dont go here.
Professional Scammers!
Good experience
