The rental ended up being more expensive than I hoped, mostly because of the pay-per-mile. But thats really my only complaint. The camper itself was great - drove well and was easy to convert between sleep mode and travel mode. Im 6 and I slept pretty comfortably (although only just). The staff (Jennifer & Saida) were super friendly and helpful, even though they were really busy.

We were looking to buy a used camper and contacted Jucy. Saida Rico was the one who responded to my inquiry and was incredibly responsive and helpful. Very knowledgeable and helpful through emails, phone and in person. She was positive, upbeat and enthusiastic and went out of her way to assist me. She was great.

I wanted to thank Saida and Mario at Jucy (San Francisco location) for an outstanding customer service experience! They were very friendly and went above and beyond to accomodate my Jucy Rental reservations; as things are little unusual, different, and stressful, especially for things such as the reservation process and contactless pick-up. They were able to navigate me through some issues and even stayed beyond hours to make sure my vehicle was picke up as promised (I came after they had just closed for the day), they made sure everything was smooth and as expected. In addition, I must say, the vehicle was absolutely spotless and I could definitely notice there was an extra effort made to make sure the vehicle was disinfected and presentable in these COVID times.Look forward to renting again from this location in the near future!Thank you!

These vans are pretty amazing, we went with 5 friends to Death Valley and it was one of the most comfortable camping trips Ive ever been on. There were a couple of confusions with the booking process, but the staff was really supportive, even when contacting them during Thanksgiving. Seeing a company this dedicated to customer service is a winner for me.

Had a really terrible experience renting from this company last week. We rented a van for eight days. We learned after driving for a while that the van’s alignment was completely off, the brake pads were completely worn out, and the rotors were shot. Also both the light in the van and in the penthouse were not turning on. The zipper to shut the door of the penthouse was also broken so the door of the penthouse couldn’t be shut. We pre-paid to include snow chains that Jucy provided. When picking up the van, they had us verify that the chain box matched the type of tire which it did. But when we actually had to use them, the chains were completely the wrong size, they were also completely rusted and already broken. We tried calling their 24/7 roadside assistance number several times and were hung up on every time. When we tried calling their office during business hours, they never picked up the phone after we called them 10 times. I would highly advise not renting from this company.

Very nice concept to start with. However I spent 1 hour of phone calls to confirm if the booking was made and confirmed ?I was allotted 1.30 pm time to pickup the van, it took 2.5 hours to get through paperwork and other stuff. Which put me in bad spot to reach my destination on timr. The manager kept insisting they were doing favor by renting to me despite getting email confirmation it made me think was I getting it for free or what ?As I can read others also experienced similar issues with customer service at this branch.I hope they can fix the issues based on feedback provided

Jucy Crew for life! Picking up the car took a little while but the staff was kind and helpful.Ive rented Jucy vans in New Zealand in the past and had great experiences, so I was excited to try Jucy in the U.S. The size of our mini RV (a converted Dodge Grand Caravan) was perfect for a couple traveling and wasnt too big nor difficult to drive. The vehicle is more fuel efficient than we expected and the nightly rates are reasonable. The back of the car was comfortable to sleep in (with sleeping bags) and it was easy to convert back to the normal seating configuration in the morning.

We ordered a campervan without the rooftop tent and they gave us one with a broken rooftop tent which wouldnt have mattered as we werent going to use it but the fabric from it kept slipping out the side of the case anytime we drove somewhere. Not a big issue but a little annoying. Otherwise their vans are great and come with everything you need for a short trip.

Had a great trip with the jucy van for some weeks. for the price it was really ok. the staff in San Francisco (Drop-Off) is very friendly, but in Los Angeles (Pick-Up) the staff was not friendly. and keep looking for your booked mileage. it gets faster to get over your limited as you think in advance. all in all can recommend jucy for a us camper trip.

I will start by saying that we loved the whole concept of this Campervan, until it left us stranded. We were so so excited to try this for the first time.We drove to the Camp site on Friday and that is where we remain until 2:00 on Sunday, we called Juicy and they said a third party truck towing company would be out and bring us a charged battery, as we had already tried to jump it and it was not holding power. They never arrived, we kept calling, and the last call at 1:30 they were 45 min away and said they were merely going to jump us. Ugh, we finally had a nice camping neighbor jump us and we headed down the road for a 2 and a half hour drive without stopping. Monday woke up and the battery was dead. I had to leave for work and the rest was up to my Husband to figure it all out once again. We will not be renting from Juicy again.

The best ever! We saved so much money travelling with Jucy! We did Yosemite and Death Valley and Pacific Highway, and we had everything: kitchen, place to sleep and a car, all in one. We did not have any problem, but maybe it would be useful to have full guide book of the car functionalities and all steps to do before return (we are beginners and were not familiar with the RV :). We will definately travel again with Jucy!

Be careful reserving online if you are picking up in Oakland and dont have an extra $500 laying around. Reserved and paid for a rental type on their website that they didnt actually offer at the Oakland site so they upgraded us to the pop top style that required a $500 bond up front in case the pop up sustains damage. Now we are waiting in the lobby because the vehicle isnt even ready even though its well past the scheduled pickup time.EDIT: now its over an hour past the pickup time and the vehicle was given to us for walkthrough. It had apparently not been cleaned after someone took it to burning man because the back is COVERED in dust and food particles. They have asked their maintenance staff to actually clean it which should have been done prior to trying to give it to a customer for use......2 hours after scheduled pickup we are on the road. The cup holders still have trash and dried stuff inside. This thing drives pretty well, hopefully it holds up after whoever used it before us tore it up

We got our Jucy from L.A. broken into. They helped out with getting a fresh car the following morning. It was a very easy proces and we were back on the road in no time. We did have full insurance and a policereport though - that might have helped speed up the process.

I rented my Jucy Van for the first time and had a great experience. Ill start with the end.... I left $200 under the drivers side floor mat and did not realize until later that night. I called first thing the next day, the manager Gerald went right to the van while on the phone and was able to recover it - so you know your dealing with honest people - THANK YOU.Registration on the Web was easy.... the cost included 100 miles a day, linens and kitchen supplies..... so your good to go with no add ons needed.I flew into San Francisco and followed the Jucy Website instructions and took the BART.... very easy.... even easier/faster flying in/out of Oakland. When I arrived they quickly and thoroughly took me through the paper work and van.I was off, while the van had a lot of miles on it and was clearly used.... it was in good shape and drove well.Im 6 feet and slept comfortably..... as it was a bit cold I slept in the van but that penthouse looked even nicer.Drop off outside of my knucklehead move was also very efficient. Thanks Jucy and Gerald - I look forward to future Jucy journeys!!

I rented the Jucy Van in San Francisco and returned it in Las Vegas.Nothing to complain, just as you can expect for a campervan. It is a good choice for a small family or a small group of friends. The most convenient thing of renting a small campervan is that you can drive it to and park it almost anywhere in a city.

This is a follow-up to the previous review by Jeannie Morrison. In fairness, the bad service we got was not from Jucy but was from their third-party towing service provider (and they were terrible). The next morning (Monday morning), Jucy showed up at our house with a mechanic, a new battery, and another driver to take me to get my vehicle. The service we got directly from Jucy was quite good. After settling down a bit, we are now planning to give Jucy another try.

I almost never write reviews (theyre usually positive), but if I could give zero stars for wasting my time, I would. While the rental was fine, dealing with their backoffice incompetence has cost me hours of time. Two months after the rental, they sent us a message saying that there had been a Golden Gate Bridge Toll Violation. I responded that we had been no where near the Golden Gate Bridge. They responded, oh, sorry, wrong violation and said it was a Metro ExpressLane violation. I responded that we had a FastTrak and that we did not recall being in an ExpressLane - please send me details. Nothing... (other than a $50 administrative processing fee on my credit card which I disputed).Fast forward another month and the Metro ExpressLane violation shows up and its in Los Angeles -- about 300 miles from where we were and it was not the vehicle we rented. 1.5hrs later - after calling Jucy (and getting someone in Australia who was clueless, talking to LA Metro and Bay Area Fastrak), I finally got someone on the line at Bay Area Fastrak and am paying the $2.50 toll even though it wasnt our vehicle. If I hadnt disputed the admin fee and provided my Fastrak account number, the fees alone would have been $75. All because Jucy couldnt get the right license plate number associated with a contract. Thanks for the waste of time, Jucy! I would have rented again, but this leaves a bitter taste and the lack of customer support is appalling.

I strongly advise against booking Jucy! The condition of the rented Dodge Trailblazer Vans was simply incredible ---In addition to numerous accident damage outside and a very worn, sometimes makeshift held together with duct tape interior (not to mention the smell of smoke in the upper deck and the stinging urine smell on the mattress in the interior), let us especially the safety of the company strongly doubt:The wheels were worn down to the wear limit of the profile, brake pads are no longer available, brake discs are defective, a warning light indicates low tire, the dimming light dim and weak - all confirmed by expert opinion. Even unacceptable for the American low standard. To make matters worse, the car was only half refueled. He had over 200,000 miles on the clock. There was no replacement vehicle, no insight. Only the mechanic himself said in private that he would not drive it himself and that would always be the case - the cars went out in whatever condition. It was a long way to get the money back after being shouted and ignored alternately at the station itself. Only with the boss in the central office could be obtained by telephone a reimbursement.Never ever again.

The concept of the car with a tent on the roof is excellent.Customer service, on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired.Problems with the car as closing outside, locking in at night (had to start the engine to open doors) and when the door was opened from the outside, the engine started once were not taken seriously.

From the booking to the return everything top. Although the vehicle had made several trips, it was very well maintained and everything worked. The only downside was that the company is not in San Francisco (as the name suggests) but in Oakland. So if you want to have your car right after the flight you should book to Oakland ...

Very happy !!!We rented a campervan Jucy for a little over 2 weeks.By grace, take the insurance; practice braking and backing with the automatic gearbox and the weight of the car there are surprises: hood before exploded and a big hole on the rear bumper. The staff at San Leandro was super nice, especially Brian (thanks Brian)The comfort is spartan but you can go everywhere with, a bit difficult to go camping wild as the body painting is too visible, although it happens often for the parks is great.Butane consumption 2: one bottle every 3 days
