Was given a mileage rate of $.99 per mile. I have no trucks available. Asked that I call back the next day that they would have maybe a truck come in. When I called the following day they try to complete my reservation with the mileage rate of $1.49 a mile. I hate the fact that they cannot honor their quote they had originally given me the day before.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolute worst experience we’ve ever had. We should’ve paid the extra money for uhaul. We received the truck And trailer and they stated that they could not help us or show us how to load our car onto the trailer. We said okay and proceeded to load the car when one of the ramps all of sudden flew back into the trailer leaving one side of our car hanging off. This could have been our fault or the trailer, but the customer service was absolutely terrible. They told us they could do nothing except call someone who they’ve contracted to come out. We were in their parking lot and it took over two hours to receive service. Next, we received our trailer with with no air in the tires. We didn’t realize this until we started driving the truck and the trailer started fishtailing with our car on it. A tire blew On the trailer and we waited hours to have someone replace it. When the man contracted to help us looked at the tires he told us the psi on EVERY SINGLE TIRE was dangerously low. My husband almost flipped and went into oncoming traffic because of their neglect to do a safety check on the trailer. After he replaces the tire and aired the tires the trailer drove just fine, so I f they had done their job to begin with we never would’ve been in that dangerous situation.When we received our truck it was not with a full gas tank. We were okay with this and we had the paperwork to show we didn’t have to return the truck with a full tank. So when we tried to return the truck two day’s early they let us know it was company policy that if we turn the truck in early we are required to fill the tank up, otherwise we can come back the day it is due. So while we were on the phone with customer service in the parking lot the two men at customer service continued to knock on our door and tell us they were going to have to charge us if we didn’t leave the property because they were closing soon. They eventually stated that if we paid them $80 they would accept the truck so we agreed and asked them to let us get our things out of the truck and we’d be on our way. They said sure and turned around and locked the cab anyways and left. So then we sat in the parking lot for hours waiting yet again for someone to come out and help us. I will never be using this company again and I will be sure to let everyone I know how they put us at risk and continuously delivered some of the worst customer service I’ve ever seen.

Just called and was barely able to ask a question when the worker rudely decided to hang up with zero hesitation. I would definently think twice before renting a vehicle or anything from this company, or this location for the most part. The workers here are very unprofessional and shouldnt work in a customer service job if they cant do it without ignorance.

This company is just the worst. Reserved a truck online 2 weeks ago. Then get a call saying they wont have a truck available for me. Try calling customer service and all they said was I may or may not have a truck 2 days before moving, they actually suggested I have a plan b because there was a good chance I wouldnt have a truck. At least there was no deposit. If youre planning a move than dont plan on them. 🖕🏻

The guy that runs the counter here Anil is a real customer service pro!He actually cares if there is an issue or if you have to wait and makes every effort to take care of everyone promptly and politely.I wish more people took the pride in their jobs that this man does!!!!

Twice Ive reserved a truck with these guys only to be told the day of my rental that they have nothing. Only things they can say are we dont have a truck and call customer service - they made zero effort to make it right or help in any way.

Horrible awful experience. I call around 3pm, get an offshore call center, speak with a gentleman whose name I cannot understand who speaks with such a thick accent its nearly useless. After 40 minutes of back and forth, would you repeat that please he finally gets to a point in our conversation where confirms Ive rented a 26ft truck which I can pickup later that afternoon a 20 minute drive from where I live in San Jose. 2hrs later I get to the yard where the trucks are and they dont have the truck AND they cannot help me. No, Hey, let me see if I can find that at another local Budget facility for you, no remorse, no apology, just, we dont have it. I call the 800 reservation number again, speak with a guy named Diego, confirm what just happened and ask him for help....he says, we cant do that here you have to call Customer Service and they are closed now. I hang up and call back again and get named Anthony, explain my situation, please for his help, just as he says I see sir he hangs up. Call #4, I reach a woman named Stephanie who speaks almost perfect english, is sympathetic and tries to help. She confirms there is a 26 ft truck at the location Im parked outside, I tell her no, they dont, Im here now. I ask her to search around, she tells me the Santa Clara location has a 26ft truck, I tell her Ive called the location directly just prior to this call and they dont have it. She genuinely tries to find a location with a 26ft truck, directing me an hour away to a location that should have it. By now I realize their central sales/reservation line is seriously flawed. I call the Santa Clara store back, after pushing the guy behind the counter a little bit he comes clean and says not only do we not have the 26ft truck, but we dont stock them, you have to reserve a week in advance to bring it here. He goes further to explain that the Reservation Line commits them to 26ft trucks they dont stock and customers show up all the time expecting their truck to be waiting for them and they never have it. He says this is a recurring problem.I call UHaul, get an extremely articulate customer service rep who knows her business, can answer questions with understanding, authority and conviction, gets my truck, ensures its in the location and apologizes for the last 3 hours of wasted time with Budget. I get to the UHaul location, the clerk whisks me through the check out process and 20 mins later Im at home ready for Saturdays move. UHaul might be 2-5% more expensive in the short term, but long term youll save money with a far more efficient, reliable system. While Im at it, researched Budget, Penske, Uhaul and Enterprise.....they were all close with Budget being the lowest.....Lesson learned, theres a huge difference between price and value. You most ALWAYS get what you pay for!

Owned by Becky Meza this place is the worst place I ever been . Becky the owner is a real pain. she cancel my reservation for no reason her excuse was first come first serve and when I told her I had no other choice because it was already late. she say go to uhaul or home depot because I dont have a truck for you and now I have to pay the movers for cancelling. I lost my reservation deposit for the truck and the cancellation fee from the movers. And for becky if you dont like your business simply close it. if you can handle the pressure and you call yourself professional you should change your business because on my 10 years of customer service I have never seen a person act that way and call themselves professional.Please people dont stressed out. like she say go to uhaul or Home Depot.
