No space for parking for delivery drivers. You have to wait on street and there is fire lane everywhere . You park on your own risk. Rude receiver

Not accepting food donations due to Covid 19.

Its the second time Ive brought garden fruit to them. Both times I was so impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the folks that work there. One person stopped to help me even though it was his lunch hour. Ill keep supporting them!

I volunteered at the Second Harvest Food Bank Volunteer room in approximately 2010 under the Supervision of Pete Giddings I am in need of assistance. The staff in the front office where you go to do your pickup is very friendly and,kind if you have any questions or problem they will most definitely answer your questions and correct your problems i go there two times a week and I have no problems picking up my pick up no Doubt

Great organization. Easy to drop off donations. We are moving it of state and we didnt want to move food. We had 7 bags of canned goods to donate!

This organization is doing a great job feeding the most vulnerable during the pandemic!

I called Second Harvest who took my info over the phone as to register. They said to go to the Cathedral of Faith church. Upon my arrival at the Food Bank across the street, I inquired about picking up food. They said to call the Food Connection office from their lobby, who in turn told me to come across the street to the church. I said There are 50 cars in line. I am supposed to wait behind them? They said yes. It was near closing time as I waited 20 more minutes in a very long car line waiting to pick up food. I came then to a woman collecting tickets from people as I said I didnt have one, it was my 1st time there. She then directed me to go inside another building to register. I couldnt believe it!! I parked, got out of my car and started walking towards the building. A guy came and said Were closed!. This was now a total waste of time now. I said the lady giving tickets said I can come in, but.the guy kept saying we.are closed. I said Dies anyone around here know what they are doing? I could have not waitied 20 minutes in a hot car behind 50 cars and now youre closed. It is a joke!! No one there knows what they are doing there, on the phone, in the Food bank, in the church parking lot. No wonder they are only volunteers, because no one would hire them. They are all incompetent!! I wasted time on the phone, driving 10 miles there, more time at the food bank, waiting in a car line with 50 cars and then trying to get registered. I warn you they will waste your precious and valuable time if this is your first time like me.

I enjoy making donations here because the front desk staff is so genuinely friendly, welcoming, and appreciative. Other staff are equally gracious and helpful, taking time to help me find my way during construction when I caught them clearly in the middle of doing something else.

This food Bank wouldnt take my donation, but the church across the street did :-) The may her was helpful in directing me over there. Across the street, the food donations are only Wed and Thu though. I think 9-5.

What a fantastic organization! I highly suggest supporting the work being done at Second Harvest. Professional, clean, and an awesome program.

Usually go this place for volunteering for packing fruits and vegetables that will be distributed to the people with less affordability. Nice place. Any one can sign up to volunteer on any day. Usually its 3 house volunteership. They give you a break after the first one and half hour for half hour followed by another hour of volunteering. They divide people based on the work example boxes preparation, packing, carrying the packed boxes to the weighing area and arranging the weigehd boxes. We can choose any task that we would like to pick. During the break they do offer some snacks and beverages. They have light music on and chatting with friends and volunteering is fun 😃.

As food bank has successfully leveraged the distribution possible through the Cathedral of Faith reaching out Ministry in San Jose California. It is amazing what they are accomplishing together!

This is a central distribution center and warehouse but they do not have people come to this location to pick up food.To get food from Second Harvest you need to call the main phone number and they will tell you what bank is closest to you, also this is based on the day of the week. Banks vary in the amount of food they provide and the quality of the food. For example, if you live downtown, they will likely send you to North 4th Street, the Salvation Army. They provide a very small bag of items for one person. You have to register at all of the banks, sign up give your name and ID the first time you show up. You dont need to show ID later.

Its ok. They pay low but at least theres plenty of work but if theyre done with their goal for the day, they cut down the working hours.

They say on their website that they will help ANYONE in need of food. Yet, you have to fill out their qualifications form just to be told you dont qualify! What are we supposed to do? They LIE!!! They wont help anyone in need as they claim in their own website.
