I am so unhappy with this place. I brought my Miele vacuum in because my son sucked up a rubber glove, and the power head was making a weird sound.(they were able to get the glove out at the store, I thank them for that) I left my phone number and paid $79.99. They said they left me a voicemail mail, that I never received (and did not have a missed call), and they sent my vacuum to Sacramento, without speaking to me. This has been over 2 weeks now. I received an email today because they were trying to call me. Again, no missed calls. I have to call the repair guy myself and find out the repairs are going to be another $180.00 plus 2 more weeks!!! 180 = 80= 260.00, and new power head is 250.00. I have now asked for my vacuum to be sent back to me, but if it doesnt make the truck today, it wont get her till next Thursday! They have had my vacuum for 4 weeks now!!! I will never let them work on my vacuum again, and Im going to request a refund on my 79.99 charge. If I could give them NO stars I would.

Great place to shop for a machine and learn to use it! This is a fun place with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The shops have lots of machines for you to try out; garment, quilting, embroidery, cutting, long-arm, they have it all at a great price. The machines come with classes to get you started and the shop offers project classes too (virtual for now but someday soon back at the store). And if you forget to bring it, fabric, needles, thread, scissors..., you know all the stuff, LOL, its available at the store too. Every location I have shopped/sewed at has treated me with care. So excited they opened a location in San Jose. I made these pants and needle cases in the embroidery and garment classes. Thank you Tim, Mona, Betty, Sheila and Jennifer for making every visit at the S.J. shop a great experience.

A lot to choose from a mix and match. Good prices. The service is exceptional. You get the support you need even after the purchase with classes for the use of your sewing machine. I did my research and Meissner is hands down the best choice to purchase a quality machine .

About 14 months ago I decided to look into getting a new sewing machine. Opted to take a look at Meissner Sewing & Vacuum Center. Best decision ever! I took my Dyson in for repair after it lost suction. They found and fixed the issue, and my vacuum was returned to me looking and working like new. They thoroughly cleaned the machine while they had it as well, and being probably 10 years old, it really needed it. It wasn’t cheap, but it was less expensive than purchasing a decent new vacuum and if I can get several more years out of this one, it will have been worth it.

Customer service is great! They create a family atmosphere. I always feel welcomed and remembered and know they will take care of anything I need. And, the classes are great.

The owner, Tim, is very personable and everyone on staff has always been very helpful and pleasant. The store itself has everything one could possibly need for sewing and quilting, and I understand theyre excited to offer classes again, as soon as they can. Ill return here again and again.

From the minute I walked into Meissner Sewing and Vacuum Center until the second I walked out with my new sewing machine I was greeted by the family owners. The salespeople were friendly and answered all my questions (and I had many!) with respect. They were all friendly and very informative. I learned alot about what to look for in sewing machines that suited my needs and my budget. I was very impressed with the service I received. Took old Dyson to be repaired but fix was more than it was worth, so Meissner applied diagnostic fee $99.99 to the cost of new vacuum. Staff was very helpful & friendly.Conversation with repair person was informative. Over the phone we discussed my pink Dyson & my 1987 Rainbow vacuum which also needed repair. Steered me in the direction of a cordless Miele.Bought the new Miele, it works great and Meissner recycled Rainbow vacuum for me.I will always give Meissners my vacuum cleaner business. Great service.

I brought in my old Kenmore sewing machine to get looked at, because I got a good feeling about my phone conversation with Peter. He said he would not charge me for any repairs until he took a look at the machine and the problem. Peter looked over the machine, explained what was wrong and told me he would need to look for the parts first before he could give me a quote. He called me about an hour later saying he could use a part from one of the older machines in his possession and he also found the other part on Ebay. In the end, for a little more money, I could practically purchase a new machine for the price of repair. And thats what I did. He was able to give me an amazing deal on a NEW sewing machine, Baby Lock Molly, that would do everything I needed. With a 25 year guarantee, how could I refuse?Peter gave me excellent service! What was particularly impressive was he explained that instructional classes in the store with sewing expert Debi Kuennen-Baker were FREE! I already signed up for my first one, and Im very excited!Thank you Peter for a wonderful experience. I look forward to coming into the store regularly for classes and information.

My husband and I have taken both vacuum and sewing machines there (I have three machines) The owner explains what I did wrong, fixes the machine without making me feel bad about doing something stupid. Very patient. My go to place. His prices are more than reasonable. I cant recommend him high enough. Every one I have sent there have been excited to have found this place. I have dealt with them for about six years. Hes more than five stars.

I had taken my old Singer to a competitor in San Jose (without knowing about Meissners). After servicing, my foot pedal was missing and the machine still had several things not working at all. I did a lot more research which led me to Meissners where they told me my machine had not even been lubricated. Everything is working like new now, and I am so happy with their service. Definitely I will use only this store. Not happy about my other experience down the road. For sure, its five star service at Meissners!

I will not go anywhere else now when I need my vacuum repaired or to purchase filters etc. These people know why theyre doing and theyre happy to help you! I had a clogged hose on my Hoover wind tunnel. And I was expecting to drop off my vacuum and pick it up in the days following. However, they got it repaired and put in new filters that I wanted to purchase in less than 30 minutes! The staff are very friendly, experienced, and fair. Walked out with a working vacuum spending less than $50.00. This was a few weeks ago, and my vacuum is working as good as it was before it was clogged.

Walked In one day to get my serger repaired and discovered the owner had sold the business to a new guy, Peter. I was a little skeptical when he told me my Pfaff serger, which is about 20+ years old, was worn out. He then demonstrated the Imagine by Baby Lock. OMG!!! I raced home to tell my husband who bought it for my birthday 2 days later. This is the most amazing serger on the market!!! No tension dials and no complicated threading! Thank you Peter!!! You are my new best friend!!!!!UPDATE: I called the store about 6 months later, and found that Peter sold his business to Meissner Sewing and Vacuum from the Sacramento area...an even bigger improvement now!!! They have come in and completely cleaned and organized the store and created a wonderful classroom area where I was able to join the serger operations training from Sally-Ann who did a fabulous job! They have a great selection of sewing machines, accessories and vacuums. And the most amazing assortment of serger and sewing threads Ive ever seen in one place! Welcome to the neighborhood!!!
