These guys were fantastic! I am a realtor and my clients were in contract to buy a home which had some moisture concerns in the crawl space underneath. The Top Down Restoration team stayed on call for me until the moment we closed escrow and then with VERY LIMITED notice, they managed to inspect, diagnose and remediate the issue within a few hours. Each member of the team was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They used caution to enter and exit the home (saving the white carpet from even a speck of dirt) and they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves leaving the home and crawl space better than when they arrived. I highly recommend Top Down Restoration—specifically Rex, Pablo, Mike & Sean. Will definitely call them for clients’ needs in the future.
I want to thank Top Down for all their help during such an uncertain time with COVID19 going on. Top Down was referred to us by Dependable Water Heaters and fortunately were located not too far from my senior mother’s home.My mother’s water heater has been leaking for some time unnoticed. The damage was a lot worse than what all of us thought (see pictures). When our water heater guy removed the old leaky water heater, we could see the walls behind it were spotty with mold and the adjacent walls and carpet were soppy wet. I was really nervous about the situation because I was not new to water/mold remediation and this stuff can get really expensive.We called Top Down and they were able to send someone to assess the water damage that same day. Sean and Pablo swung by an hour later. They wore masks and maintained six feet distance as best they could in my mom’s small home. I’m sure they sensed my stress and tried to deliver the news sensitively. I asked them how much they estimate the repairs will be (removal of mold, drying of the wood, and replacing the damaged wood/drywall). Being the professionals they are, they were spot on.Given that my mother did not have home owners insurance, Rex (the owner of Top Down) worked with us, which my siblings and I are all so GRATEFUL for. It has been stressful for me coordinating repairs and bringing my toddler son with me, so I was greatly relieved when Rex told me I didn’t need to be there and his crew will handle it. He said they take before/after photos and can send them to me.The guys taped up plastic barriers to contain the debris as they cut out the moldy walls. Afterwards, they set up the dehumidifiers and fans to dry the moisture in the walls. My siblings were impressed when I showed them the pictures.The guys did really good work. Everyone was so nice and easy to work with. I highly recommend them for your home restoration needs!Thank you Top Down team!!!
Recently had a pipe in our kitchen wall burst and leak through the wall and do damage to our wood floors. A plumbing company recommended this company and at first they did well. But towards the end of the 5 day treatment the technician didnt arrive when he said he would arrive and then said he wouldnt be able to pickup the fan equipment till the following Monday. On Saturday another technician arrived unannounced to pick up the equipment, luckily I just happened to be coming home at the same time he arrived. A call/advance notice would have been nice. Also, when we paid I asked for an invoice and the technician said he would have the office staff provide me one later, I asked a few other times and never got one. My insurance requires that I submit the invoice in order for them to reimburse me. For the past week I have called Top Down Restoration requesting an invoice. Initially I was told to talk with Crystal to get an invoice. I spoke to her on 10/11/19 and she said she would email my insurance and me the invoice. Monday arrived and no invoice was sent. I called on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of last week and every time it went straight to voicemail, despite leaving messages each time I never received any followup or call backs 😕. On Thursday I finally got the owners email and he relayed that he could help with getting me an invoice. On Friday (10/18/19), I emailed the owner to check in on the status of my invoice and heard nothing back. This morning I emailed again and heard nothing back, so I called and spoke to the owner Rex and he said I would have an invoice sent to me within 45 minutes. Guess what, still no invoice. I called and of course my call went directly to voicemail. FYI - if you decide to use them (though I wouldnt recommend), do not pay until they provide you an invoice up front. I have wasted too much of my valuable time trying to pin them down for an invoice.
Recently had a leak from the 2nd floor and Manny from Crown Plumbing recommended these guys to help us dry out the area. Pablo from Top Down came to our rescue the same day, which was the weekend before New Years. He kept us informed throughout the process, even when needing to make a slightly bigger cutout than what the plumber originally did. The dehumidifier was even setup for minimum impact on our kitchen usage and the machine was surprisingly quiet. After setting it up, he worked with our schedules on when he could return to retrieve the machine. Upon returning, he conducted a final inspection to ensure the area was completely dry. Hopefully we won’t require their services again, but they would definitely be the ones to call when needed and will asking for Pablo.
They were referral from my plumber.Had water condensation issue within bathroom wall. Beo came out the same day...and started the drying work immediately.He was very knowledgeable and also helped me in contacting other contractors for the wall repair work.I definitely recommend this company and they work with most insurance carriers.
Rex Garrett of Top Down Restoration was highly recommended to me after I had a leaky faucet in my kitchen which caused some leaking under the house, and I spotted a few gnats. This turned out to be my lucky day when his office manager, Crystal who was so caring & supportive sent out Jose Garcia who said that there was a very small pool of water and that he would not charge me anything to remove it. When has that ever happened to anyone? I could not believe it. Well, I thought I was done after having the new faucet put in, but then I noticed more leaking underneath the hot and cold Everpure drinking system. Jose asked to look at it and spent the next 2 hours fixing the entire system. The only thing he would take in return were 2 beautiful juicy nectarines for all his hard work. It is easy to say that Top Down Restoration rocks, & I highly recommend them.
Sean came to our house to evaluate the situation, wrote up a reasonable quote, came back the next day when we were ready for the work to be done, did an excellent job, and was friendly and courteous. Highly recommended!
