Took in our new to us 7.3 Super Duty for a pre trip inspection. Russ took care of us and did an awesome job. He made recommendations on a few things and before long he had us on our way.

Excellent shop! Dan and Russ do a superb job of taking care of the customer, from the start of business to completion. They are always available for updates, always answer the phone, and do the kind of work that you just don’t see in shops anymore. Attention to detail and thoroughness come to mind, not to mention honesty. For instance, when I asked Russ to complete a task on the injector pump, he indicated the job had been done previously. He could have easily taken advantage of the situation, and charged me for the work, even though it had already been completed. Instead, he lowered the bill by the appropriate amount. Can’t say enough about these guys. They know their stuff, work hard, and deliver as promised.

Would not go there! Wife took Truck to have brakes done, They did them, when we picks up they said it may sutter a bit til worn in. The they said we need to replace the rotors! Hello we went there for a brake job Instead of turning them, they should have called and said need to replace which would be no big deal, but instead of doing it right, it left it unsafe to drive. we took back after the weekend and he charged her the about the same as he did the first time . Paid twice for a job done right once. Refund for turning and charging for rotors is all he should have charged to do it correctly

Recently purchased a 2002 LB7 Duramax from a local dealer in Escondido (Rico’s auto sales, don’t buy from there) where they showed me receipts for ALLEGEDLY replacing all 8 fuel injectors but sure enough after a couple weeks of driving I noticed I was having smoke coming out of my exhaust. After chasing my tail and the dealer misdiagnosing my truck swearing up and down that the issues weren’t injector related I came to Russ who was VERY professional and he knew immediately it was my injectors. He helped not only diagnose my smoke problem but also found several other errors that the dealer had been hiding from me that didn’t show up on my dash or message board. Russ and his Crew of experienced mechanics got my truck up and running in less than a week and gave me very detailed videos and documentation showing all the work they did. Everything is priced fairly and you receive quality work that’s tough to beat!

The crew at Maximum Diesels are AWESOME! We refer EVERYONE to them because theyre honest, do great work and theyre down to earth folks. They have wrenched on our 1996 F-350 for 3+ years now. Theyve installed a FASS lift pump, new injectors, fuel bowl delete kit, regulated return kit, new BD transmission, HPOP, low volume oil pump, misc sensors, custom fuel tanks with transfer pumps....etc, etc. NOBODY else touches our trucks but MAXIMUM DIESELS. Been coming to Maximum Diesels for the past 4 years. I did a Cummins Conversion into a Ford. Russ and his crew got it all tuned up and dialed in after I completed the project. Consistently great service for our 2000 dodge ram 2500 diesel truck. We use it to pull a 5th wheel so sometimes we need to get in quick to follow up on maintenance and we are always fit in. Brought my 06 Dodge 5.9 Cummins to Russ about a year ago, it was blowing black motor oil all down the bottom of the truck. Bad injector(s) sending diesel into the crankcase and out the overflow.Had Maximum do the whole 9 yards, all new injectors plus fresh oil/filter. After a year and about 20,000 miles truck is running perfect, no leaks...like new.I would recommend anyone to try Maximum Diesels for their Cummins. Also saw a lot of Fords while I was there so they must be good at those too.

The owner seems ok and knows his stuff but the help is another story, but like any other shop they talk a good game to get you in. Dont waist your time or money go to the dealer.

If you are lucky enough to find Russ at the shop you have a chance for 5 star service. Year ago Russ fixed my truck it was great. Came in last month with charging issues. They charged over $200 for diagnostic and replaced battery terminals that did not need to be changed. Tried to make me to change the serpentine belt and tensioner for few hundred extra but never found the problem. I left few messages for Russ to call me but never happened. Picked up my truck brought it home took a day of found the problem in the connector to the alternator. Bought connector from autozone and fixed it myself.
