Gorgeous transformation by MilVali from a pixie growing out to a mane of sexy, beach waves; and done with so much care and artistry. For the first time in my adult life I feel I was given the right color match. My hair (not extensions) hasn’t turned brassy. My extensions are going to last for a year. She blended straight and curly. The photo with sunglasses is two months later. The profile photo is of my hair air dried, I’m on my way to work: no styling necessary. My real hair matches the extensions. My college friend who hadn’t seen me in a year didn’t notice they were extensions. She said, “wow your hair is long!”. Another person who hadn’t seen me for 3 months said, “wow your hair grew fast!” I’ve been given so many compliments!

Deb was awesome! I book a last minute appointment and they were able to install my hair extensions. The install feels comfortable and soft. It blended very well with my hair. There was a mixed up towards the end and I got charged double the price, but lucky I caught it and it was resolved. Overall very satisfied.

I have never left a bad review in my life but here we are because I do not want anyone to experience the shock I just had. I just went in to get my extensions touched up, I made the appointment over the phone a month ago. Im a 26 year old working professional in San Francisco so when I ask how much something costs, lord knows Im paying attention and asking clarifying questions to follow. I have 2 rows of extensions which, in any normal world, costs 200-250 to touch up, 100 per row. So when they told me that it would be 100 per row, i was thrilled and booked the appointment. When I went to check out, you can imagine my shock when i saw $400 as the charge. I corrected the front desk as they must have made an honest mistake. Then they proceeded to say no, that’s the rate of the stylist, each has their own rate. This was obviously a shock and wildly upsetting as it was double what i intended on paying. Today is the first of the month so my budget is strict after paying rent, and now i have to readjust other plans to not live beyond my means. I am so upset by this experience and have never been made to feel so stupid as a customer. They completely dismissed me and did nothing to help. SUCH an upsetting experience. I will never be going back and will be telling everyone i know that they should take their business elsewhere.

Best salon on the planet for extensions. Attention to detail, consistent and always a fun and friendly atmosphere. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. My hair is very delicate and they managed to accommodate me with microbeads which look amazing and very natural. I don’t know what I would have done without them.

They’re known for their extensions, but the Brazilian blowout I got today at Milvali in SF gave body, shine, condition, and softness to my burned out hair. Love it, will definitely return. Also, they have an actual flower garden in the front yard outside the beautifully preserved Victorian in which they have their high functioning salon

Hair extensions with Deb Monti had literally changed my life! Ive never liked my fine, curly frizzy locks. I was nervous to get hair extensions but Deb made my experience comfortable & answered all of my questions during the consultation session. We figured out what I would need based on my lifestyle & hair type.She really takes time w you to make sure you are happy with the outcome. It did take a while for me to get use to them but after about a month of wearing them, it now feels weird to NOT have them! I was pleasantly surprised at how resilient microlink extensions are! I can wear my hair up, i can go swimming, and i barely have to fuss with my hair now! I am very active & my job requires me to be very active so having the right kind of extensions was important to me.The maintenance is low which is key for me. And no one noticed that i had extensions put in which was even better because it still looks like ME & my hair just better!

I tried out this salon for the first time and had my stylist Ben cut, color, and style my hair and it turned out to be my favorite hair cut ive ever received! He is very skilled at what he does and makes you feel comfortable the entire time. Overall my experience was a 10/10! I would recommend Ben to any of my loved ones.

I can not even begin to explain how amazing these look and how impressed I am!This is my first time getting extensions and during my consultation, all my questions were answered and the process explained. I am so relieved that I decided to use this method provided by Milvali versus some others I was looking into.These look perfectly natural, feel quite comfortable, and add gorgeous volume and length. Also, the maintenance required isnt too much for my lifestyle.I am not exaggerating when I say that this is the best my hair has ever looked in my life! Just take a look at the before and after photos I included.Deb applied the extensions and she is absolutely wonderful. I wish I remembered the names of the other people I met there because they were also so friendly and fantastic.Side note.. in my opinion, the prices were extremely reasonable as well. I was expecting this to be more expensive. Especially with the quality of hair that is used, 100% Remy Human Hair.The salon also takes the necessary safety precautions to prevent the spread of Covid19. Everyone, including myself, wore a mask. The salon is very clean. Hand sanitizer is available. My temperature was checked and I was asked questions regarding my (lack of) exposure. I was also given a plastic bag to seal my purse in. Deb was incredible -so knowledgeable, helpful, and patient.I went to Malvali after getting extensions at another salon for a quick blending cut. On top of the blending cut, Deb took time to teach me how to style my new extensions (first timer), take care of them, and properly sleep with them. I left with a great blended cut and a lot more confidence in the extensions I just had installed a few days earlier. Deb mentioned a good time to switch salons if I want to is when I’m done with the usability of my current extensions (about 1 year) but I feel so confident about my experience with Deb I’ll likely switch over as soon as my extensions grow out enough to be adjusted.For context: I have naturally curly 3c blonde hair and didn’t realize what great hair and color options they have for me and my desired length either all at a much more affordable range than what I’d previously been quoted within San Francisco.Amazing experience overall!

Finally found my salon for SF 🙏🏻 I’ve lived in SF for 4 years and kept going home 3 hours away for a haircut. Tried many salons and none seemed right or messed it up every time. Price is very reasonable for a salon too (not $140 + tip for a haircut). Staff is super friendly is it’s not a huge salon

This is a great salon. I’ve been coming here for the last 2 years and everyone I work with is fantastic and so nice. I go to Dani for my highlights and she always does a great job.

I was really disappointed by the pricing policy of the salon. I was quoted $8 per tab through email and was told that the average amount of tabs would be 20. (I have about 20 sandwiched extensions). I was charged double that with each sandwiched extension costing $16 (or $320 in total). In addition, I was charged a removal fee($70), a fee for hair washing (~$45), and a fee for a hair cut $70 (when I asked to trim ends). The total came to around $500. They readjusted the price of the hair cut after I asked, but at almost $500, I felt the result wasnt worth the price. The average pricing that I have seen is $75 per hour. I recommend that if you decide to go to this salon, be careful with add ons and discuss pricing before hand and be aware that the pricing is on the high side for this type of service.Just for some additional information, the quality of the work was alright but at the price range I would expect highly experienced professionals rather than someone who has just began their training.

Cut exactly how I asked for it. Im used to less than perfect haircuts because of my multiple cowlicks and straight hair but Emmy worked with my hair and styled it around how it will grow out. Very happy with the style I walked away with!Mens cut is $50, well worth it considering you get a wash and its a scissor cut. Ive gone to barbershops all over the city and theyre starting to charge $50 for a fade and trim, they throw in a cheap beer to make you feel like a man. I prefer a premium experience for that kind of money over an in and out cut and tecate.

I have been a loyal customer of MilVali Salon for over 8 years. I love the vibe of the salon, “understated cool”, and everyone who works there is so authentically nice. Multiple people will stop by the chair to offer you drinks, make a coffee run, feed your meter, etc. always with a smile on their faces. They carry all the top brand products and the stylists are super well versed in this area but NEVER pressure you to buy. Last, Deb is a master artist... she is by far the most experienced and qualified extension professional in the Bay Area. I am privileged to be one of her regular clients. There is NOTHING I can suggest for improvement because the overall experience each and every time I go exceeds my expectations!

I’ve been wearing extensions for 13 years. I’ve had extension work done at various salons in Texas, Vegas, NYC and California. Deb at Milvali SF is by far the best work I’ve ever had done. Her work is not only fabulous but consistent, and she’s FAST! Afterwards, my head isn’t sore, my extensions are never lose nor do they fall out, the placement is always natural and I can still wear my hair up or behind my ears, and the look/cut is always fantastic. She’s amazing!

Deb replaced my extensions last weekend. She was awesome. It takes a long time, so one of the employees actually went out and picked up a bottle of wine for me to drink while the appointment was happening. This place is so bad that I do not see how they get so many 5 star reviews. Also, keep track of what they charge you because they quote one price and it is higher after the service. Or, it mysteriously is higher the second time you get the same service with the same person.The only thing I can think of is that the person writes the review right when they leave the salon before they get home and see how bad their hair extensions are 3 weeks later and how bad many of the stylists are. I gave the place another try and the girl burned my hairs doing what should be a simple blonde highlight job. They keep a good selection of hair products but the try too hard to sell you things you do not need. The place was good many years ago but now they have turned into a factory of low end stylists. I would not recommend going there unless you have been going for a long time and have 1 of the few good stylists. Also, the quality of their hair extensions is terrible. They refuse to use high quality extensions like Dream Catchers. They provide low quality extensions that look very dull in a couple of weeks for high quality prices.

I had the same experience Shannie. I only wanted all over color and when I went to pay, they charged for all over color + root touch-up + toner and dry cut to the ends. It looks like they advertised as a medium price range salon, but BE CAREFUL!.... they going to keep adding up services without telling you... such a shame... Also, the guy receptionist make you uncomfortable looking at you when you are adding the tip....

Jamila is the BEST lash artist ever! She knows how to accentuate your natural eye shape, making your eyes look their best. Her work lasts longerand never irritates my eyes. Shes also a joy to be around!

I am really torn on what amount of stars to give this salon. I saw a sign outside of the salon on the street saying $45 blow outs. I went inside and asked if there was any appointments available and there was! I met with my stylist Bianca and told her that I wanted just a loose beach wave. She didnt even touch my hair before saying sure and taking me the shampoo bowl. She didnt explain what she was using on my hair the whole time I was with her. When she was half way done drying my hair she decides to tell me it is a $15 extra charge if I wanted curls. I said oh I dont want to pay that so dont do it. She says okay. But then she curls my whole head?? They were not the loose beach waves I ask for. I go up the front desk and the woman says my total is $75!!!! I am confused. The sign says $45. She said oh youre a new client. Okay $60. I was charged to extra $15 dollars when I told her that I did not want it! And why in the world are you running a special ONLY for new clients? It is a slap in the face to your repeat clients. My hair looked okay, but it wasnt what I wanted. And my stylist put WAY to much product in my hair. It was a matted mess by the end of the night. I would recommend not going here, they are VERY shady about their prices and they dont listen to you.

I cannot speak highly enough of the amazing, friendly service I received from this little gem of a salon! The owner Deb truly went out of her way by gifting me with a delicious minty lipgloss. Her staff went above and beyond to accomadate me last minute on my birthday.I had been very hesitant about anyone touching my hair or my extentions after a few bad experiences, but this was the best place to break out of my hair re-hab.Noel whipped up some magic ✨ to turn my brown locks into perfectly placed sun kissed balayage highlights. Noel also, suggested a caviar chronilogist treatment which deeply conditions to breath new life back into dull hair... I cannot believe the difference in my hair. I love this treatment and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my balayage!Deb was a life saver !
