I got a gel manicure here and while they were nice my manicure is pretty awful. I got a semi-sheer color so I asked for a third coat and she told me it would be too thick. So instead, it looks splotchy in different parts because the color is not even at all. She did two coats of clear on top, and you can see the stroke marks on my nails and they are not smooth to the touch. Overall very disappointed, and if I hadn’t been leaving for vacation the next day I would have gone somewhere else to have them redone.

Lux Nails and Spa joins an already crowded nail scene in West Portal. The store used to be the old Americuts and its been converted nicely. The chairs are standard and so is decor and music. I rate it 5 stars for the service I received. Thy is great and she gave me a great pedicure. She quickly dedicated herself to the task and let me sit back and relax. She was very intent on the task and you can really see she puts pride in her task. Not only did I receive great service but they discounted $5 for Presidents Day. I will definitely be coming back.
