Has not communicated to mailbox owners since their fire. No response to email, call. Dead silence for MONTHS. UPS corporate cannot help either in tracking down owner. Told people to just keep calling and emailing.
I walked in to drop off my package today, noticed many people were already standing in line while there’s only one store employee at the counter. I popped the door open as the air was so stuffy without any fresh air when everyone are breathing in the same room. Then the store employee walked up and quickly closed the door again. I told her to please keep the door open for the sake of public health and safety especially with high COVID-19 infection, she said “I’m too cold.....” and told me to wait outside instead. I am simply stunned by her ignorance and disregard for others health and safety during a COVID ravaged pandemic.
This UPS Store Location is closed due to a fire. I walked there a few weeks ago with a big package to only be disappointed
Buyer Beware: The owner Jay Patel, is unafraid to default on his contractual agreements and isnt afraid to act with hostility and aggression toward customers. I wouldnt recommend this place to a friend. The prices are high and this is a place that specifically favors short term revenues over reputation. Also, you can get a virtual mailbox for much less money and get a much higher level of service concurrently.I began renting a mailbox from this store in 2017. Setting aside that the annual fee went from $360 to $570 over two years (fine if market will bear it), my main issue with Jay is that he viewed the mailbox contract, which UPS drafted according to its preferences, as something to be modified by himself on a whim. At mailbox termination, he was contractually obligated to provide me with mail forwarding and storage for $0/mo for up to 6 mo according to the contract, but tried to charge me $60/mo for storage and $10 per instance of forwarding. After having a phone discussion with him wherein he seemed to understand that the contractual terms dictate the fees he can charge, I visited the store in person to close my account. There I was greeted by a store manager who immediately took a hostile, aggressive tone after I merely asked how mail forwarding would work and noting I had spoken with Jay Patel (had no idea what I was walking into). He said he wouldnt honor the contract and threatened to boot me from the store when I asked him to calm down (so we could discuss what I was actually seeking). He then asked me to leave and called the police to make it look like I was in the wrong. I left the store at that point after pleading a last time for the chance to calmly discuss the matter. He then asserted I was trying to take advantage of a small business (I rent the mailbox for my small business...) and I left. Needless to say Jay Patel and UPS more broadly have not been responsive to any follow up. There is a reason this store has a 2.8 rating. Be careful.
Mel at this location offers superior customer service. She is friendly, helpful and sincere. We appreciated all that she did to assist in our last minute shipping dilemma! Thank you!!
Mel, the female employee, was extremely pleasant and helpful. I had a problem with google security check and she was a great help. Thank you very much, Ms. Mel. Nicely maintained and clean UPS Store near gorgeous Union Square!
Had a USPS prioirity box to mail to my sister in WI. I checked on line and USPS charge was $15.02 . Jay Patels UPS store charged me $34.02. I was in a hurry, was confused about the price but didnt question it and paid.Days later when I was at the post office I asked what was the price of the priority mail box and was told $15.02.. I called and talked to the owner Jay Patel and he said that he can mark up the price to what ever the market will bear. SO IF YOU ARE SHIPPING USPS AND USING HIS STORE KNOW THAT YOU WILL BE CHARGED MORE THAN DOUBLE THE POST OFFICE RATE. HAD I BEEN TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE WALKED 6 BLOCKS DOWN SUTTER STREET TO THE POST OFFICE AND MAILED MY PACKAGE THERE. WONDER HOW ELSE HE RIPS PEOPLE OFF?
We love Cumulous the little doggie there. :-)
THE WORST customer service Ive ever experienced. I asked for the employees name when I experienced rude, unprovocted attitude and was told I dont have to give it to you as this girl with long dark brown hair walked off. This store needs to retrain their employees on customer service and how to serve our community. After leaving about 5 messages for the manager and never heard back I gave up. But if you are reading this now there is a serious problem with the service the store gives. I would avoid at all cost.
Ive always had good luck at this location. If anything they are really nice. I pick up and drop off packages here on a regular basis since my building doesnt have access for UPS to get in. Never had a problem. Not sure about the other reviews? Im assuming someone just had a bad day and wanted to rant online...
Charged me 20 to pick up a package.
This UPS Store is great! I walk in, there is never a line, and I am in and out of the store in no time. They always give me several economical options to send my items.
I opened a mailbox so I could get packages and have them held while I was out of town. I paid for the box and I was told that I will get a key later because they dont have any. I never got the key and when I went into the store to pick up my packages I was told they are not there and I would need to come back next week. I called the shipper and they gave me the proof of delivery. I then go back to the store the next week and I am told that my box was setup incorrectly and if I want my packages I would have to pay $35 additional charge or I will not be able to get my packages or mail. I refused to pay the $35 because this was handled very unprofessionally and they are keeping my packages and mail hostage until I pay them. I was never given a key for my box and never received any service from them. I signed a contract to pay a certain amount in exchange for a service. This is a bait and switch, theft of property and breach of contract. I then wanted to close the box and get my money back. The agents called the owner who said they do not do refunds and I was out of luck. I have a contract for a service and I never received that service. I never received the key and they only way I was able to get my packages was to threated to call the police. It is a federal crime to steal someones mail and this is exactly what they tried to do to me.
The team here has bent over backwards to assist in getting something shipped to me in Texas. They could not have been more professional and I couldnt not be happier. THANKS!!!
As Im walking in with a heavy rug on my shoulder trying to open a door with one hand, the guy across behind the counter yells my way: Um, we cannot accept that, we have no space! ??? And then the other guy chimes in that theres another location (15 blocks away) down the street...Happy f-ing holidays to you too ups!Hey douches first thing you say is: HELLO, WELCOME TO UPS, and then you can say: IM REALLY SORRY BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE DO NOT HAVE ANY MORE SPACE DUE TO HOLIDAY SEASON, WERE REALLY OVERWHELMED WITH VOLUME OF PACKAGES BEING SENT RIGHT NOW. LET ME SEE IF I CAN HELP YOU FINDING THE CLOSEST LOCATION NEAR BY.But that would require use of your brain and common courtesy I guess... But who cares about that customer trying to return his stupid rug, right?!-UPS once again you shine with awesome customer service!
The bold head white dude is the worst people he starts stuff every time I go in there. I wish I could talk to the manager about him. That dude is always drunk and need to be fired this is my second time dealing with this dude. I planning on sue the manager and him if he doesnt do something about him. Im tired of the tumble service.
Sent out an important document overnight next day air on Saturday, before their driver arrived to pick the last load up. Finished and payed the over priced fee to ship a single piece of paper ($54). Here we are Monday morning at 11am and the document has yet to ship.Poor customer service from jackiShould have gone to fedex and risked a “castaway” event at least my mail would have arrived.
Mon - Fri, 10-4.Sat, 10-2.Sunday closed.As of JUNE 13, 2020
The printing service sucks! The stupid system printed my file directly. I cant select the color one and I even have to pay the money for the failed ones. Didnt show the total price after I finished printing and the clerk didnt help at all.I should go to the FedEx
Very poor customer service
They keep my packages in the trash bin... So many times my boxed is there but I always have to remind them to look in their trash can. I dont know why they keep it there...
Rude, incredulous, nickel-and-dimer, with different policies than almost every other UPS store I have been to. Avoid, dont support.I wanted to have a box packed up. They could give me no estimate. When I pointed out that most UPS stores Ive used charge a flat rate for such packing, not the nonsense of nickel and diming every aspect of the packing, he was incredulous and refused to give a me a straight estimate. When I asked if he could print an amazon prepaid UPS return packing slip, he said theres a $10 limit, which made no sense. When I pointed that out and asked him to explain, he hung up on me. When I called back and got a better explanation, he gave some nonsense about how he and UPS have to connection, that he is independent, and that he would lease some the computer time and charge for printing. He then said he couldnt talk anymore and hung up on me again.
Very informative, nice, and accomodating. Store peaceful, clean and in a great location.
Absolutely brilliant friendly service!! AAA+++Ive been using this store for over 10 years... No way are they rude !! Utter bullshit ..Mo and Saf really friendly and professional
Mo & Serafin have managed my mail for years, which can be sensitive material. In my experience they both have been helpful, knowledgable and friendly. I appreciate that they always have doggie treats for my fur child too! At another UPS location in the city I had lots of issues with getting my mail, but here no issues only friendly faces.
Great help with delivering one envelope to multiple places prepaid
Great Professional & personalised service. Had to get A4 sized documents printed out and Jay went above & beyond by getting the specialty paper size cut quickly and then personally assisted with the rather complicated printing of over 15 documents.
I was here today on a Friday at 8.40 am and they were not open. It says that store hours are open Mon-Fri from 8.30am. This was particularly frustrating as it was the only location I get to drop off my package on my way to work. I ended up having to lug this package around which I needed to drop off in the morning. This is very unprofessional - you need to stand by your opening hours.
No trashcan for customers? Won’t go there anymore, such company should care about environment, not only money
Avoid this location for UPS services. I walk in and see the lone proprietor was on the phone. He looks at me with an annoyed look as if Ive interrupted his day. I stand back a little from the counter to give him time to finish his call. He hangs up and looks at me so I approach the counter and present to him my package and tell him I have a preauthorisation number from the shipper (Dyson who emailed instructions to take a any UPS store and theyll re-package, print out the shipping label and ship my return package). He tells me that he has to charge me to print out the label. I tell him that not what the instructions said. He shrugs and suggest I could try at an actual UPS location as his store is not a real UPS. OK! Not a real UPS, but yet has The UPS Store signage and branding. Whats the point of having a business thats associated with UPS if you dont consider yourself a real UPS. I suspect this proprietor just didnt want to deal with me and rather Id go somewhere else. Which Im happy to take my business elsewhere. I understand that today I needed this free service but if youre going to be so short-sighted that youd send me away and throw away the chance that I would return again to pay for other services, too bad for you. I am happy to never come back to this shop and advise everyone to take your business to another UPS Store.Long story short, I drove to another UPS Store on 4th & Townsend. They looked up my preauth #, find me in their system and took care of everything. I got my label (for free), receipt and they accepted the package and told me they would repackage before sending it back to Dyson. Now thats service! I will need notary services soon and will now make sure to return to the 4th St location to pay for this service.
Convenient location
Very Good Workers, and Boss!!!I was in 2010,sended guitar pedals to guitarcenter, ant they vwery halpd Me!!! IHot thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!
Extremely rude staff, they dont wanna talk about the price, just pay 10 times more than fedex and leave, no man, avoid this place
I tried to call ahead 3 times to see if they had the type of printing I needed. Each time the autogenerated voice said the store was “unavailable” at the time. When I arrived to try anyway, the store was literally empty. And when I asked if they did the printing, I was told to just go down the street to ANOTHER UPS.
Ive been waiting for an hour and the returning soon sign showed that the employees would only be gone for 15 minutes
Racist UPS shop, I walk in with a label already printed for my package which includes the box. And they tell me they can’t mail off my item. They said we don’t do that, and they tried to force me to purchase a box. If you are a minority please don’t go to this shop.
Send email to print one page of flight schedule, the charge was $2.78 a charge for open your email is $2.45!!!
This store is a joke I cant find crappier service anywhere but Safeway dont go to this location
Employees are extremely rude.
Horrible service
Ups is the worst
