Now, it’s not very often that folks can share positive experiences and occurrences when it comes to shipping and delivery companies, but, I’m happy to say that this review will change all of that. Recently, I picked up a package from the DHL hub in San Francisco and it was a very pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the large hub doesn’t have a direct phone line, but, I found using the “chat box,” feature on the main DHL website extremely helpful. I spoke with a representative named Antoni, who was able to contact the San Francisco branch and let them know that I was interested in picking up my package before the delivery window. I was so excited about a product I purchased from Indonesia, I just couldn’t wait until Monday for it to be delivered. As I tracked my package from Indonesia to San Francisco on the DHL website, everything was extremely simple and user-friendly. DHL makes deliveries Monday - Friday, so weekend delivery is not an option. After chatting with the agent (Antoni), I went to DHL, provided my tracking number, and the agent was able to bring my package to the window. If driving there is ample parking in front of the hub location and access in and out is extremely simple. Whether shipping or receiving an international package, DHL is the way to go.
Wow! Such great customer service! The person helping me was so nice and friendly. It is a bit hard to find the front door. Its all the way to the right of the building. Also once you get it, you have to press a buzzer to get a customer service rep come and help. I waited about 2 minutes, not bad at all. Loved this interaction!
They need to teach there drivers some respect out on the field. Some crazy lady by stownstown was going off on another driver who had kids in the car this just happened by the mall the delivery driver looked like a Samoan female not sure but she was very disrespectful that was very uncalled for.
They where hiring at the time I made my drop off. I would have applied since it would have been a job close to home, but after experiencing the attitude of the staff that already worked there, I thought to myself Nevermind. I have enough coworkers with attitude problems at my current job.
Dhl is one of the worst delivery provider in San francisco. They should fire all delivery men as incompetent and liars.

Terrible service. Don’t recommend showing up at 10am when they say they open. The doors were locked and took 10 minutes and another staff member to open the doors.This was after we had to pick package up after they said they attempted delivery 3 times and nobody was home. We work at home.Very bad management here

Worst delivery service ever, driver in my area loses packages habitually just throws them at wrong addresses never asks for signature lies and customer service just denies everything, I lost multiple packages no accountability on their part. DO NOT use DHL.

Absolutely Incompetent!! Driver delivered package to the wrong address and then LIED about it saying he delivered at the correct address. In this day and age its appalling how they are not able to find people who can simply follow the instructions of Google Maps.. I would rate this service with 0 stars as I never received my package.
They lie that they attempted delivery. I was at home at the time listed at online tracking. No delivery notice attempt notice on the door either. They should call if they can’t deliver on time, so that atleast I can go pickup. Plus they are closed on weekends.
The place was easy to find, but the wait experience varies with your purpose. I waited 10 minutes but another person said they were there close to an hour. Be prepared to wait.

Let me join the others in suggesting that no one should ever use DHL if they can help it. Its been almost a month and I still dont have my package. This location is really out of the way, and theyre not open on weekends, making it implausible to ever pick up the package. Dont count on delivery. Wont happen.
Worst delivery service ! Never trust on delivery driver that he will deliver package ! driver dont make even easy attempt to reach at you ! Driver dont even give you a call or knock the door. they just randomly write no one is there at home to pick up and will go back ! if you already made mistake choosing DHL then the only option you have is prepare yourself running to grab your package to DHL service point. otherwise you will spoil your whole day and time waiting and waiting if you think delivery driver will deliver your package. want to rate 0 but i have no option rating down than this. the worst service !!!😡😡
Never use their delivery service. The online status shows that delivery attempted at 17:06 and I am home all day waiting for my package. I saw the updated at 17:10 and immediate check if they have leave any notice.but NOTHING!! and no one ever knock on door to see if anyones home.
Got here to ship something internationally. They operate like a governmental office in a socialist country. Slow, slow, slow,... did I say slow?I takes them about 12 minutes to create a shipping label, for which they need to leave the counter and go to the back office.... strange way of conducting a business.

Claimed they tried to deliver twice after 8p and didnt actually sure up (were home all day and night both days). I think the driver just marked it as an attempted delivery so they could go home, since it also got marked outside of the delivery window and the second time they claimed the business was closed on the attempted delivery but were a residential block. Deeply incompetent company that cant actually do the only thing they promise -- delivery a package. Dont ship with them.
Been waiting for my package all day. Had my front door wide open and was sitting 2 rooms away playing games. Used the app to sign for the package so they should have left it regardless. Driver left a note saying no one was home. Didnt even bother to ring the door bell.Was perfectly willing to drive to meet the driver or pick up the package at the warehouse but the customer service guys wouldnt give me an option. These guys suck
Service was great once you got to the location. However, the location is super inconvienant. I had to make a special trip as there are not many locations in the whole bay area.
Helpful, professional, and prompt. The gentleman in front of me was having issues retrieving his package because of an issue with the shipping address (a miswrite on the senders end), and the gentleman on staff was both friendly, patient, and persistent in resolving the issue. As for my own retrieval, it went off without a hitch.
I called this office in early December to get information on package delivery from Germany. The rep gave me detailed instructions on the address and what to include on the boxes and said they would hold the boxes up to 30 days after they arrived. When 4 of the boxes arrived last week, they rejected them with return to sender (Germany). They made no attempt to call or send an email to me to let me know the boxes arrived. Now I am chasing the shipment in Germany. Take responsibility for what you say!
Rude and terrible customer experience! I called to ask if I could arrange a pickup of a parcel myself since it was delayed - and the lady on the phone cut me off mid-sentence rudely to say no. When I asked a bit more about the process, she just impatiently went No, just cant a couple of times, without bothering to say or explain anything else.

I live in Hillsborough with a family of 6 stayed home 24/7 during quarantine and security cams are at every corner of the property, yet the driver said he was at the door but no one was there ???!!??? what a lie
Got a very helpful female agent who said our package would come tomorrow 7/6/18. However driver left door knob note on 7/3/18 that would deliver on 7/5/18 which has not happened and was never sent out to the delivery van. Strange results so far and dhl nationally not helpful In referring us to local service center in San Francisco where the pack is apparently resting comfortably awaiting its ride to us tomorrow morning as now requested. Will it come as promised? as requested?? Well see with high hopes. Thank you pleasant female at SF Service Center.
Unprofessional service overall. Was expecting a package that needed signature at my business address and received an email stating a delivery attempt was made but business was closed. This occurred while I was inside work and our office was open. No missed delivery slip left so I called customer service which was polite but told me Id have to wait for the next business day. Very unprofessional.

I am very sad to trust this company DHL, my order was told to ship on 05/25/2020, but I did not receive it on 05/25/2020. And the the next day 05/26/2020 I called directly to ask for help to check. Once again the company lied to me that it would deliver on 05/26/2020 . And I waited from 9:00 am until 7:30 pm, the company still did not deliver. When I continued to call again, the company did not have anyone on the phone to help me . Maybe the order is the last one, I’ll never trust the company DHL again. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
It seems to me that the business model of DHL is that they are the only company that ships to many places and so they insist that customers tolerate worse than average service. Today I was yelled at by someone at this store. I know that times are anxious due to covid. But this was a strange way to approach business.
Worst Shipping “Service” Ever.I’d rather have a rootcanal than ever try to ship something via DHL again.I ended up taking my package and shipping it via FedEx International with no issues.If you plan on shipping anything through them expect for them to rip up your packaging completely with no F’s given.
In shipping and logistics business, missing packages and delaying shipments are common and all over with every carrier company, so DHL is not an exception. What makes DHL exceptional is their customer service and immediate attention to customers problems. I had an issue with my package which got sorted out in 40 minutes with the help of Eric Moody and Belsie Cruz from DHL San Francisco, who made an exception and sent a truck again to deliver my package well on time.

Been here far too many times after DHL fails to deliver my packages to my apartment. Staff is usually pretty friendly (way better then USPS). Annoyed that I can ship packages from China to SF in under 48 hours and then it takes another 24 hours to get a failed delivery in SF.
Terrible service. We had a delivery coming, which we waited at home for. For 3 days running, the driver pretended to contact us for a signature and then marked failed to deliver, and each day we called DHL to tell them we had been waiting and heard nothing. They had our phone number but never called. Finally we sat on their tracking website, refreshing until it showed they claimed to deliver, and then immediately called. Unable to deny this time that they hadnt even tried to deliver, they finally gave us our package. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Customer service at this SF branch was extremely helpful, not like rest of DHL. Driver named Moses was amazing, unloaded superheavy machine to the doorstep.

It is on the edge of the bay, very remote, there are no offices that I know of within the city, there was only one person before me and it took me two hours for a small package, I sent it to Mexico City and the day offered did not arrive, they were left to deliver on Friday and they tried on Saturday, of course there was no one who would receive it, it will be a large company but it will be the last time that I use this company
