Our trip on the Argo was absolutely fantastic!! We had a blast and only have great things to say. We booked a half day trip, but honestly it felt like a full day:) Directions to the the boat were extremely easy & simple. My boyfriend and I are new to fishing and caught 4 Sea Bass to take home!! We also caught a few others that we had to throw back due to size / species. Craig was extremely helpful with baiting our lines, teaching us the basics, and getting us fishing ASAP!! He’s extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible to the type of trip you’re looking for. The boat ride to and from our fishing spot was gorgeous, extremely safe, & fun! It was definitely cold so bring layers + sunscreen! Class SFBA weather. He does have an inside area where you can hang and stay warm, eat snacks/lunch. Craig took the time to skin and clean the fish when we got back before departing. We had fish for dinner that evening and it was AMAZING. Fish dinner for days. We can’t wait to go back out with Captain Craig & bring friends next time:) - he recommended crab season in November. Thank you Captain Craig!!

Booked a trip with Argo but due to mechanical issues Craig was not able to take us out. Instead of just refunding our deposit, Craig went out of his way to call other boats and find us a spot. Really appreciated the effort!

I went on a half day trip with my girlfriend as Captain Craig led us to Saint Pablo Bay for striped bass mainly, while the low possibility of white sturgeon and early season halibut. The ride was nice and easy with amazing views, and while we didn’t book it privately, we had the entire boat to ourselves! When we got to the location Capt. Craig was very clear and knowledgeable with instructions on how the different fish usually bite and what to expect. We started getting small bites within 5 mins of having the lines in the water and landed the first striped bass within 10 minutes. We stayed around the same location catching a total of 5 striped bass 2 keeper, a small scathe (released) and very cool 4 1/2 ft 7 gill shark (released). My girlfriend set and landed the shark with the help of the Capt. and was ecstatic with the opportunity. We stopped bottom fishing in the low water and began to troll as we moved to slightly deeper waters on our way out. I hooked a big striped bass but as it approached the boat it thrashed and got the hook out, but amazing to see the size difference between the size we had previously caught estimating about 25”. We had stopped fishing and returned back to dock. We were so thankful that Craig cleaned the fish and gave us a awesome recommendation for a restaurant that fried and blackened it so delicious. We had a great time and would go on Argo again for the salmon season. I did learn that the all the fishing around the area has been extremely down, however Captain Craig will put you on some fish.
