Cool comedy club with plenty of room and friendly staff! Due to the current local mandate, a vaccine card or negative covid test is required to enter. Masks are required at the door for entry, but hardly anybody wore them while seated at their tables. They are still placing strangers at a table together so if social distancing is a concern for you, you may wanna hold off on going. Overall I felt like they did everything they could to make sure it was a safe and fun environment, and I’d definitely come back for another show here! They do have a 2 drink minimum, which is pretty typical for any comedy club. If you’re like me and don’t drink alcohol they have some non alcoholic options as well, just be prepared to spend $6 for a cup of soda.

Fun place although, the two drink minimum per person (food purchases dont count) makes going to an event there pretty expensive if you are also buying a meal. For two people, we spent about $100 just on 2 burgers and 4 small cocktails.

It was nice to get out and see a show. The comedians had people laughing, and the people were having a good time. You could tell lots of date nights and couples. The staff were pleasant. Food or should I see feed, was available - but they gotta change that fry oil. uhg. Parking was easy. They check for weapons, so dont bring any. Oh..2 drink minimum which basically means add another $20 for each persons ticket.

I’ve been to Cobb’s Comedy about 30 times. Most of the time the comedians are funny and the staff are friendly. Occasionally you can tell the staff hate their lives and make the experience unpleasant. Just a heads up that there’s a 2 drink minimum, food doesn’t count. Food is consistently good and drink are often hit or miss. Security lines can take forever sometimes, even in non-covid times. Cool interior with comedian pictures all over the walls. Seat organization is good most of the time, unless it’s a really popular show. Overall decent venue that brings in big name comedians.

First time at the club and it was good and bad. Great line up no shortage on laughing. The service at this place was terrible. We were seated for 45 minutes in the VIP front row...apparently you pay an extra $40 a table to get worse service then the rest of the place. Note in that 45 minutes I went to the bar twice to get drinks. Finally the server gets to us brings my fiancé the wrong drink and disappears half the show. We finally get a hold of her and she remedies it supposively and the show goes on. Get the check and it doesnt look right so I ask for an itemized receipt in which they were hesitant.Wrong drink was on my ticket still and the funny things is the price on the menu isnt what youll pay on the receipt.

I had never been to Cobbs Comedy Club before, until the night we saw Dov Davidoff performed.Venue: the venue was located in San Francisco on Columbus Ave. if youre coming from the east bay and plan to have drinks you might want to take public transportation, its definitely bartable but you will also have to take a bus. Its pretty easy though. There are some street parking but you might want to get there early to get them. The venue does not look much from the outside but the inside look great. Its not as big as broadway theatre but large enough to house/seat about 350 plus from what I can tell. There are seatings on the second floor as well. And guess what restrooms on both floors are available. The are regular tables and booth seating. But wherever you sit is good enough to see the center stage. This comedy club has guests that have performed at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with David Letterman.Comedians get 5 stars: At first I didnt know who Dov Davidoff was but when he came out I recognized his face. He is one funny guy! I was laughing the entire time. Even the two acts before him performed well. Very funny and very different materials. Loved their performance! The staff 3 Stars: they’re friendly but they seemed so busy that they forget to come back to our table. But its not their fault. They may have been short staffed that night. It was required to order two drinks so we ordered the last drink but it never came. And at the end of the night it took very long to get our checks. The food: appetizers, dinner and desserts are available. We only ordered drinks since we had dinner before we came. They offered drinks like sodas, beer, wine and was happy they had hot tea!!!We were happy that we sat with very nice people and we enjoyed ourselves. I hope to come again in the near future! Thank you to the performers and the staff!

Big talent in a small venue. Almost all the seats are great, even at the rear and in the balcony. Service is good, food is not good, drinks are average. I go for the comedians, not the food. Try to buy a reserved seat up front because then you can eat at a local restaurant and still be sure of a good seat. Check out their sister club The Punchline which is smaller, intimate, and also books big names.

My girlfriend and I came to Cobb’s Comedy Club to see Tom Green. One of the best experiences ever. We came about an hour early to the evening show and scored free parking right in front. It’s located in a perfect spot in San Francisco, with multiple restaurants and cafes littered around. The club itself is a very intimate experience, with fantastic seating. As a non-drinker, the only thing I hate is the 2 drink minimum because I have to spend $5-8 on juice or hot chocolate that I dont want, but that seems to be common of comedy clubs. Itd be cool if they just said theres a mandatory $10 donation if you dont drink or if you could sub food for the requirement. Great show and neat venue. We arrived about 10 minutes before the show started. Had to go through metal detectors and show ID. Once inside we were taken to a table. Many people around us were ordering food which smelled amazing. The show started right on time with a MC type person. He was funny and a good opener. Soon after a server came by to take out drink order. At this point it was a bit dark and hard to see the menu. (Recommend deciding what you want while lights are on). The drinks are a bit over priced, but I get it. We did order a dessert which was a huge portion!Servers come by on a regular schedule and they are hard to flag down in between unless your sitting on the ends. You are required to order 2 drinks (with or without alcohol). When the show was over we were rushed out as another show was starting.
