Prices are reasonable and location is solid. Overall, communication is okay but their stated access hours listed here of 6am - 10pm are not accurate and I’m fairly certain most storage unit access is 10am - 6pm, Mon - Sat. Not that convenient if you’re moving and just plain false advertising. Wouldn’t have booked a unit here had that not been advertised.

The iStorage location is very close to my residence, thats a big plus for my purposes. The price was an online promotion that seemed reasonable. The locker I chose is outside in a clean area, and it shows no sign of water damage, but this is California.

Michael, was very professional, polite, courteous, quick and efficient. Best storage unit experience ever! Ive used many in the past. Highly recommend iStorage because of the easy online application and docu-sign.

IStorage on 19th Avenue is excellent storage facility: easy access to place, clean, spacious, and easily-accessible storage units, with very competitive pricing. Michael at the office was excellent to deal with, very friendly and takes care of your needs. He handled the paperwork in 15 minutes! You have to use iStorage for your self-storage needs.

I Storage is the best Storage Company in San Fesncisco. Right off 19th Avenue. Great lockers and excellent rates! Plenty of complimentary moving cart to use. Never busy and never crowded. Very Happy! 10 Star Customer Service. Fast and efficient.

--Simply, in a matter of 40 minutes, my I-Storage experience created a Breath Of Fresh Air and solace from a place of overwhelm with moving personal items.--For sure, there is a going the extra-mile vibe about I-Storage because of Michaels stellar customer service. This was evident when I followed up a last minute online booking at 5:30 pm with a phone call on a Monday when the facility closes at 6pm.--Michael was upfront in saying, if you arrive here by 6pm, then I can assist in securing the storage unit. Note, if this was another storage competitor, then the business stops service an hour before closing time.--When I arrived at 5:43 pm, Michael (of I-Storage on 19th Avenue in San Francisco) extended goodness in my I-Storage experience, and this stretched beyond the rental agreement sign-offs to how he carries a sensibility about the challenges of logistical needs in 2020 and the role customer service plays in the self-storage experience.-Continue STEP-ping!

I am downgrading my recommendation from 5 star to 3 star. And this is why.I dropped off my car little more than one month before. Their pricing appeared slightly on the higher side (considering the fact that this is an open space for parking which is not quite spacious). However, I rated my experience five star primarily because of two reasons: their excellent and prompt response over phone — any time during the office hours you make a call and they will pick up the phone. The second reason for five star is this: it was very dark when I went to drop my car off at around 9:30 PM, and an elderly staff who probably lives there helped me park my car. There was not a whole lot of space around, but he brought a flash light, and more importantly, lent his hand to place the car-cover over my car.I am downgrading my rating because when I came back from my vacation nearly a month later I saw my car-cover missing. The car was covered in (regular) dust. I inquired with the staff on phone. Again they were super responsive on phone which I appreciate, but they could not explain what actually happened to the car-cover. I know the place is under CCTV surveillance, so they must have had video footage. However, they said on phone that they do not take the liability (!) of the items parked in their place, and advised me to seek help from my insurance. My insurance did not help (high deductible), and I lost a custom-fit car-cover which was fairly expensive. The car also needed a good wash (it seemed to be without the cover for days).

Michael was great. I was outta my grove. But it was quick and easy. The units are really affordable. And the area is nice too.

THIS IS THE WORST STORAGE FACILITY I HAVE EVER HAD... There is at least 2 individuals living in units and lurking around this place 24 hours a day. I was insulted by one of them one time and threatened by another one for trying to move my stuff around at regular daytime open hours. I am being DENIED my right to cancel the unit even though I left weeks ago. And even though i have recorded evidence of the employee agreeing to do so the day i left. PLEASE CANCEL MY UNIT NOW. I refuse to pay any charges beyond July. There is also video surveillance of the place which makes it literally impossible for the managers to support the claim that they are unaware of individuals living inside the facility passed closing time. If legal action needs to be taken to cancel my unit I will pursue it.

IStorage Ingleside Heights is great. I stored items there for 6 months. The place is clean, well lit and safe. My furniture stayed in excellent condition, never getting dirty or musty. It’s easy to park and load/unload large items. And, the gentlemen at the front desk were lovely from day 1 to my last day. Convenient location, too. I highly recommend.

I recently searched the entire area to find a suitable storage unit for my needs. I chose here over everywhere else because of the extra attention I was given by the staff and the service they provide. Joe, the manager is awesome! He went above and beyond to make sure everything I needed was taken care of without question. He is, by far, much better at customer service than anyone else i had met with at other facilities. Most storage units have no idea how to talk to customers at all. The experience here is much different. I feel safe and secure with my business materials being kept here, and I know that Joe has got my back. Keep up the good work!

The Ingleside staff seem to struggle to understand that I live in Africa (11 hours later than PDT) - not the Bay Area and have continually sent things to my brothers address that he then has to forward me. While it was great that you called him to tell him my unit had been flooded recently, it would have been good for you to inform me. too. Had I not had relatives in the area, I am not sure what would have happened. Maybe you can tell me....

I had a terrible experience with this iStorage location. Initially I booked a unit online with the first month free. When I visited the location, I was moved to a bigger unit since the one I booked would have been difficult to load/unload. I confirmed multiple times with the manager that the first month(November) would still remain free. After moving in, I was charged for the first month. When I bough it up with the local manager, I was assured that since I was already charged for November, they would make December free. I was charged for December as well. Again when I approached the local manager, I was told that they would issue a refund at move out. I was given no such refund and every time I spoke to the local manager, he said he was putting in a request for a refund. He never followed up and I had to make multiple calls/visits where I was told the refund wasnt approved since my original booking did not have a free month, but he would try again. It has been over 2 months since I moved out and I have still not got any refund from iStorage.EDIT: Never got a call from the district manager as posted in the reply!

Needed to get a storage unit was shopping around and found a good deal here. Daniel the storage manager was awesome and helped me feel secure in my decision to rent here and had great customer service which is rare these days. Will definitely recommend to others.

Their service is lightning fast. The space I am renting is exactly what I hoped for. Auto pay is great, especially if you go on vacation for the summer. Istorage is also perfect if you go to SFSU (they are a 5-7 minute walk away) and the outbound M will drop you off directly in front of their building!

Update: iStorage finally got back to me and I got the insurance money to cover my losses from the water damage. Fixing my rating to 3 stars because they did it but I am not sure if I would have gotten it if I didnt keep asking for some sort of update.Terrible place. My stuff got a bunch of water on it and they didnt care. Broke over 500$worth of stuff and they submitted a claim to insurance about 2 months ago and wont return my calls or emails about any kind of status update.

I had to store some stuff over the summer at the 19th Ave location and the boys there were wonderful! Everything went smoothly when it came to moving out and closing the locker just as well as moving our stuff in!

Convenient and the management there is super cool. Little pricey but in San Francisco what aint pricey? Definitely worth the price knowing your belongings are safe and secure.

Strike 1, unit has water intrusion when it rainsStrike 2, change the security code with no notice, and require me to come to the office during business hours to get a new code, resulting in not being able to access my 7nit for a week.Strike 3, when I finally had time to get to the office, sign said open but it was locked with no one inside. Waited 15 minutes, still no one, banged on every door and someone finally came out.Strike 4, I provided proof of homeowners insurance within 48 hours of signing the lease, and they are still charging the fee 2 months later. Or at least some unexplained $12 fee with a cryptic name PPGWStrike 5, called their customer service line and they couldnt tell me what the fee was, even if you use a 3rd party customer service, they should at least have a reference guide with common billing info.

I needed a fairly quick solution, and inexpensive, for storing a box or 2. Didnt find it. The closest I could come to was iStorage (formerly 19th St. Storage).They tack on an additional $10-$20 charge each month for an insurance fee, which they require, no opting out. Its difficult to get a hold of a facility or regional manager to resolve issues that may arise. (No, I dont want to leave a message, waiting for you to call me back). Their online bill payment system NEVER worked for me, which ultimately cost me a late fee, through circumstances beyond my control. I tried to pay online, before going out of town, to a location that had next to no mobile coverage, so I could not call or email to settle the bill. I sent an email to the manager, explaining that the online system would not complete the transaction, again (it had failed in the past, even after I informed them of the issue). I explained that I had made a good-faith effort to pay the bill, I was headed out of town, and I would not pay any late fee. Managements reply was essentially, Nope, late fee applies, no matter what.They do not work with you in any way, such as adjusting the billing date, to accommodate your preferred payment date. This always resulted in Delinquent Payment notices every month... VERY annoying when making an effort to stay on top of bills every month.They completely lost my business. I will never use services from any iStorage ever again, and I will recommend to anyone to avoid dealing with them either.To be fair, when visiting the location, the person staffing the rental office always had a nice demeanor, not rude, and was willing to answer questions.Lack of any flexibility, lack of customer service/accommodation, and lack of accessibility to any kind of manager to resolve special issues effectively, is ultimately why I avoid this business.

The guys behind the counter do a great job and acquaint themselves with every renter. Feels safe, lots of cameras. The most reasonable prices in sf, even if they are so far down 19th Ave.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this company. I was lured in by a one-month free rent promotion, and when I got there they told me they were going to move me to another unit but the promotion would still apply (even after documenting it on file). However, 2 months later, the store manager is telling me that they arent going to honor the promotion because the unit that I was moved too didnt have the promotion even though I was specifically told it would. It feels like a classic BAIT & SWITCH move.

Long time user of the facilities. New owners are making upgrades to the property and the current manager does a fine job no matter what the issue is.
