Fantastic teachers, very reasonable prices, and a lot of activities to try out. I never saw myself as circus skills student, but one turn on the flying trapeze and I was hooked. My only complaint: the classes fill up fairly quickly; I wish they had more.

Awesome place to unwind and try your limits. We were there for a birthday party and got to try the flying trapeze and some acrobatics, like balancing, mini trampoline and human pyramids. My muscles are still sore three days later, but we had a great time. The instructors were patient, informative, supportive and fun.All in all, I will definitely be back for more at some point 🙂

I took a one-off class while visiting SF for work and this place is awesome! I love how it was converted from a high school, since it gives plenty of space for classes (also I loved tramping around a school). I took the intro to tumbling and mini trampoline and it was great - Im feeling a lot more confident in my handstands now. Also the front desk is super nice!

Thank you Thank you Thank you for making a WONDERFUL explorations workshop for my child. She was on best behavior all week and couldnt wait for us to see her perform today. The end-of-workshop was streamlined, meaningful, and the kids looked great. I couldnt wait to see your staff jump in and show off a bit and when you finally flew through the air it was incredibly uplifting.Keep doing what you do and I hope all San Franciscans appreciate the rare joy you bring to kids and grownups in the city.Nice job!

Great price for a specialty fitness/hobby! I started going here to build up my flexibility and tumbling skill set for dance, and I love it. Great discounts for new customers as well as last minute classes and by buying classes in bulk. I also appreciate they list the students already enrolled in the class (not a fan of huge class sizes, especially when learning something that could cause injuries with improper technique). Teachers are very knowledgeable about that, and so far have done a good job scaling up the difficulty for new students (like me) safely 😊

Got to try out the intro to aerial arts class. As a beginner, it was a lot of fun. The instructor Celine was very friendly and she was patient with us. She would walk us through the different steps to try the tricks. In a 90 minute class, we started with a warm up session which includes some stretching. Then following that we got to try the trapeze, rope climb with scarves and rope. Then we tried some tricks on the hoop as wellOverall, lots of fun, great workout, especially for the upper body!

The best workout you will ever get in San Francisco! I have been training here for years and there is nowhere better than Circus Center. You can try rope, flying trapeze, silks, hoop and other aerial classes, as well as contortion, acrobats, juggling and dance. Make sure you come here at least once in your lifetime :)

I signed up for Classpass this month and have been able to try so many cool studios through this membership. (Seriously, check it out... greatest idea ever!)I took an intro to acrobatics class here and had the greatest time! I felt like a little kid again. There were all skill levels in the class and the instructor was this hilarious little guy who challenged each student dependent on their skills. I feel like I really pushed myself in this intro class and got a great work out. The atmosphere is really cool too and everyone has a different story. I cant wait to try out one of their trapeze classes!

Circus Center is an institution that provides classes and training in the circus arts (tumbling, aerials, flying trapeze, etc.) for people of all skill levels. They also put on community performances and cabaret-style evening events. I have greatly enjoyed both taking classes and attending performances there.

I have mixed feelings about this place, since my experience here seems to to vary so much depending on the day and whos around.Well, firstly, Circus Center is more of a school rather than a studio, so dont expect everything here to be super shiny and new like at some other studios around SF. Its clean enough, so Im not complaining or anything, just wanted to mention it so its not a surprise later when you get a waft of sweat. Also, dont get it confused with AcroSports which is just down the street in an almost identical building.Inner sunset isnt too close for those of us who come from downtown or something, but its not too hard to get to. Its easy to hop on the N (muni) to get there. I dont have a car, so Im unsure of the parking situation, but since its mainly residential it probably isnt too bad. There are people here of all ages (they have classes for kids and adults!) and skills levels. I come here as a beginner and a drop-in student at that, but there are usually people around who are seriously practicing for performances and other stuff. Not to mention a lot of different skills! Theres flying trapeze, acrobatics, Chinese pole, parkour, tissu / aerial silks, lyra / aerial hoop, corde lisse / aerial rope, static trapeze, etc. Definitely look at the full schedule if you want to see what else they have around. The staff and students here vary. Like I mentioned, Im mainly a drop-in student (although I have done one full session too :D) To be honest, sometimes everyone is great from the time you walk in, throughout the class, then when you walk out after class. Sometimes they are super friendly and social, but other times they are more focused on efficiency and getting to work - its a school after all, so they dont always walk you through things step by step if thats what youre always expecting. Just saying...Bonus: Its on a ClassPass and also has an intro package, which is great if you want to get little tastes of things. BUT the classes (ClassPass and even regular classes) tend to fill up fast so plan ahead if theres something you want to try that might be in high demand with the students. The limited classes are both a pro and con since its hard to get in, but once youre in, its nice to have the individualized attention

If you are would-be stilt walker at the MAPP or Carnival but held back by fear of falling, here is where you can learn to break through. What if you just want to see trapeze or vaudeville acts for free? You can attend the occasional free performances they put on here and avoid the trek to the cow palace or the sticker shock at cirque du soleil.
