My wife and I came in with specific questions around freelance work, forming an LLC, and their tax implications as well as taxes as they relate to our investments. The reason Im giving him two stars is because he was condescending towards my wife throughout the discussion. For example, with one valid question, he paused and said okaaaay in a dragged out way that was incredibly belittling. While my wife continued to be cordial, he jumped in and interrupted her to explain things she already knew (he was making incorrect assumptions), and a few times did not let her finish her thoughts.His tone was patronizing and stereotypically sexist. He didnt speak that way to me, and let me finish my thoughts.On top of that, he took a personal phone call in the middle of our meeting about confirming his golfing tee time. Completely unprofessional.While Mr. Hoffman was knowledgeable about some things and quoted us a fair price to do our taxes, his lack of specific knowledge towards our field of work, his convoluted responses to some questions, and again, his unprofessional and condescending behavior make me rate him this way.While I cannot speak with how he is with all women, he came across as misogynistic and I encourage Mr. Hoffman to reflect on the way he communicates with women.
