PLEASE listen to the other reviews of this place. The place smelled of pure gamer, and it felt very sketchy to walk into and play video games in. The PCs were also very below par, I couldn’t even play league with my friends next to me, as half the computers were broken. For the first 30-40 minutes of us being there, we encountered a bunch of problems with our computers(the headset/mic wasn’t working, pc straight up crashed, etc..), causing us to be moved around 3-4 times before I said screw it and just played with no mic to my friend across the room because he wasn’t allowed to sit near me.TLDR it stinks and service is below par, not recommended at all!
Ya know I always dreamed about gaming for twitch, joining online tournaments and meeting other gamers. And Im starting to think this is the best opportunity to reach to that success.
The place is dirty and smelly ☹️ No AC. I was sweating like hell. Wanted to play warzone but the settings were all over the place.
Located in a nice area. Solid 1 GB Fiber internet. No problems with connecting and also has ethernet plug-ins accessible. This place definitely could use a good cleaning though as there is a lot of dust on the floor, desks, equipment, etc. Lights were all out / very dark. Definitely the epitome of an unkept gamer dungeon. The guy who was working was really nice and helpful though! We bought another hour, said we were going to lunch, and didnt start our time until when we got back and were all set up which was awesome. With some TLC and better maintenace, this place would look amazing and definitely thrive!
I found Agragati Siegel while doing research on establishing an E-Sport center. I initially used his consulting as a free resource and to see what he had to offer. In the first call he not only gave me a brief introduction into the business but gave me a path to walk. He actively works with you and is a true master of his craft. In military terms he gave me an in depth analysis of the battlefield and a current operating picture on where I stood. This alone is something that takes months to build.
The guys at Gamesync are super nice and helpful. They made me feel welcome even though Im a gaming noob. The Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tournament on Thursday nights is $5 and if you come in 6th place or better you win your money back and your share of the pot. The double elimination tournament is well run and organized and open to everyone. My twelve-year-old had a great night and I felt safe leaving him there among the twenty-somethings who are the regulars and predominant age group. Bring a snack and a beverage; they have no snack bar. Be prepared to stay until midnight if you plan on winning, and hang out until 2 or 3 am if you want to spend time in free play. They have at least 13 setups with comfortable gamers chairs and an excellent system for making sure everyone gets a turn to play without a long wait. Meet cool people, learn a few gaming tips, show off what you got, and have a great time at Gamesync!
The fat guy was smelling so bad literally I had to wash my nose with bleach. The keyboards were sticky
Amazing place fast internet and great customer service
Fast frames, 0 ping, only problem is the game freezes for a couple seconds, very rare tho. Overall will go again
Better than I expected.
When we arrived we were told they only had 8 desktops ready to go for our group of 12. Our reservation was made a month in advance so they had ample time to prepare. The desktops that were working performed poorly and the manager didnt have any resolution and the computer was nearly unusable. There werent accounts set up for us ahead of time so we had to use our own or wait for the manager to log in for us on a few accounts they did have. However we had the entire place to ourselves and they worked with us on the price when they didnt have enough functional computers for our party.
This was possibly one of my worst experiences at a gaming center. I started my 30 minutes by updating my games. Then my game, which is not a very demanding one, lagged on the lowest graphical settings. The place was hot and uncomfortable, the worker was rude, and the computers are poor quality. The owner is also extremely shady and dishonest. He tries to offer counseling session for other lan centers, but now that Ive visited his location, I can see that he doesnt even know what hes doing.
The computers were great for playing League. The attendant was welcoming, it could used a quick cleaning, but it was late on a Monday night
Place is trash. out dated computers crashed after 5 mins of play. smells horrible. offered no refund, doesnt even have an activated version of windows. 8gb of ram and an i3 processor was what I was sat at. Place should be shut down ASAP
Ill admit, I havent been to many cyber cafes or gaming lounges until recently when I started getting into smash bros and coming to Thursday Night Sync or Swim.I think its so cool to have somewhere in SD to play local games and host tourneys. Gamesync is definitely a hot spot for gamers and friendly competition. The set up is cool, and they do their best to keep everything organized and moving smoothly.Everyone here is helpful and friendly too! Competitions are fun and everyone is welcome!Ill definitely keep coming to GameSync! Hope you guys are around for decades to come! :D
I highly agree with all of the 1 stars, the only thing good about the place were the pcs, and like the person said it is a dungeon
Great place, fast internet
Five stars: they strive to offer sincere service, the place is well run and has a philosophy of inclusion and community. Occasionally I see game updates are needed but their internet is fast enough that it doesnt take long, and free time is given if any delays occur. Ping time is beyond anything Ive ever experienced.
Great value and super helpful and friendly staff
Internet speed is amazing, t the staff was very friendly and respectful. The only bad thing I could say is that the place is like a dungeon, very hot with no air conditioning and very poorly lit. Other than that, its a good place to game.
Ive been to a few different gaming lounges and this is the most run down one for sure. It just looks so filthy as soon as you walk in. Plus who gets a great experience with then bright lights on?? Also the prices are nearly twice as expensive as the better locations!! What the heck?
Went to my second smash tournament in months here and it was a great venue. Good organizers, have snacks/drinks available for purchase and monitors are provided for setups. Only issue is probably space (but thats kinda expected when a lot of people enter, it could be fixed later on as well). Go check it out.
I walked in and it looked good but until I spoke to the employee, he was very rude and it was my first time and he was in a hurry. The display I was playing on was terrible I would not recommend coming here ever. He told me write down some info and he asked from so bit and I forgot something he said so I asked him and he said “Write down this this this I don’t want to repeat my self again”. Horrible employee if there was a zero star option that’s what I would submit.
Came here for the first time today, it was a fantastic experience! The staff greeted us kindly, and I felt very welcome. Prices are very fair, especially for the gear that you get to use. Its all up to date. The computers are very fast, and the internet is even more so! Highest ping I hit was 20 ms. Super great time, and Im DEFINITELY planning on returning soon.
Worst place ever
Its a little run down but hey, the people working there are very nice and accommodating. Machines work well despite them needing a dusting. But its a fun place if your on travel or want to have a lan with friends. Lots of games available and you can always ask for stuff too if they dont have it available.
Piss poor place. Owner and the person who runs the place are not very kind. Does a D grade job to keep it up. Youre better off going to LanDiego or playing at home for the prices they charge you. Had a birthday party here for a child, did not get the service I desired, or hell, even close to satisfactory.
Just avoid this place. Like other reviewers have said: It is FILTHY. The staff are like if you hired kids. They dont care about the customer period. The website is obviously outdated and so are the computers. Not all the games are available and if they are expect to spend 1/3 of your time installing updates.1. Filthy2. No air conditioning. Imagine being in a room with sweaty guys yelling at each other.3. It smells.4. Staff are near worthless. Especially sleeping staff who wont help. And the snoring. Just give me my money back.5. Not all games as advertised.6. Did I mention the filth. The staff that are awake dont clean or anything. Just play their games.I spent an hour going through nearly 10 computers trying to just play Battlefield 1. After paying them $4.00 to update their stuff for them, the computers graphics drivers were outdated. JUST AVOID...seriously annoyed. This place is just bad.
The first and last time I went to GaneSync it was an interesting experience. The staff was friendly, when I made an account and tried to login it was hard to get into the account. I do recommend this place if you dont have a high quality PC or you want to have a LAN event but if you want the experience you PC gamers know and love stay and home and game from your room. Game on.
Love this place, the staff is great. Actually will treat you like a person than a dollar. This place is under construction but who cares about that when you have custom gaming pcs with hyper x keyboards, mouse, and headset. Great environment all together. Ive actually been here for the past 4 days in a row because of the people. Oh and grinding of course.
I had a really great experiencie here! Love how they manage the gaming area and set up for a beast PC! Recommended!
We had a great time. Clean and well organized with high quality equipment. The staff informed us that they are planning on an upgrade/expansion soon. Cant wait to see whats in store!
Every one star you see about this place is true. No AC, smells like grease inside, room is no bigger than your average living room. One of the staff was even sleeping. Do not recommend.
If you consider yourself to be an elite gamer, this is the place for you. Impressive equipment and internet speeds, friendly staff, accommodating hours, and a wide list of all the top games for your enjoyment. In addition to the normal walk-in hourly offerings, they also hold frequent tournaments and offer free play time to attendees. Not only is this the only true LAN center in San Diego, its also one of the best Ive been to. I highly recommend this establishment to friends and family alike.
Came here with my son paid for three hours and we left after one because neither of us could stand the funk. I have been to many PC cafes over the last decade. I used to be a frequent All day pass kinda guy when I lived in Los Angeles. PC cafes have a wide range of cleanliness, game selection, snacks and drinks and types of people. I got to say that the state of this one is by far one of the worst I have seen. The computers where very dirty and in disrepair. The whole establishment had a foul odor. No snacks or drinks to purchase. It makes me sad because PC cafes have huge potential if done correctly, the US needs to take the business model from Korean PC bangs to make them more appealing. AVOID this place unless you like feeling like your sitting in a Petri dish.
It was great for the teens to be able to be in one place and do their online gaming. The facility is a bit unfinished (still undergoing construction?) and the games needed to download updates. Nevertheless, they had a good time and visited twice.
Fast internet, good prices. Very helpful staff but bare bones furnishings. Seems the money for the flooring may have gone to upgrade the PCs (Id say a sign of dedication in a true LAN Cafe).
This place is great! Definitely the premier LAN center in SD by far. The rigs are on point, connections are good and a friendly staff helps too. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in PC gaming. Cant wait to see what its like when they get fiber!
This place is pretty good, though small it had room the two times I went. Modestly priced and the person who ran it was friendly.Unfortunately, the first time I went i had some pretty bad lag due to some kind of maintenance. After i asked about it, he told me he was finished and it did clear up quickly. The second time i asked for 3 hours, and paid for it, but was then asked to leave after only two as a birthday was renting out the place. I wouldnt have minded paying for only two if Id been informed of the schedule.
I brought in my iPhone for repair at San Diego PC Help and was exposed to this place as both businesses are together in the same space. Its unique and very fun for kids. I havent ever seen anything like it. They are trying very hard to create a fun hangout for kids that is safe and clean. Keep up the good work!
My kids love coming here to play games. They have a complete setup computer, mic, and headphones for the complete gaming experience. The staff is very nice and willing to help. Highly recommend facility to all gamers.
I dont usually write reviews, but I feel obligated to this time. I have been to Gamesync in the past and had no issues before but all im going to say is the African American gentleman that works there now was the rudest and most inconsiderate person I have ever dealt with in my life. On top of that I wanted to get more hours and come to find out that he was sleeping, I even tried to wake him up. Maybe in the future if I come back there will be more respectful and considerate employees.
No idea where some of the pictures are from.. definitely not from that place!Moved to San Diego and looking for a spot to go to for game-evening/night. Came here with my wife and not only is it dirty, filthy and it smells like someone could take a shower or two..The person working there didn’t really want to talk and explain pricing or when I asked if there are specific evenings for CS etc. he started to explain something about servers..?!Unfortunately this place has nothing to offer that I wouldn’t get staying at home. As a matter of fact, at home at least it doesn’t smell and is dirty..No food, drinks, bar, special events..?!Still looking to find a nice place in San Diego to connect with other gamers.
Was very busy when I got there, even though it was very late at night. In short: the equipment and performance of the network are amazing. And its going to get better as they are in the process of upgrading the facility (they have a blueprint posted that shows the expansion). Looking forward to becoming a regular here.
So I was here on a Sunday morning around 1am. I saw the website and noticed that they open 24h in the weekends. However, when I arrived at the location, it looked nothing like the pics. The entrance was unlocked with trash lying around, the computers were turned on and electricity seems running, however...NO ONE was around... I tried to call them twice with no replies
New location, everything is continuously being upgraded as well. Still a work in progress but you see the dedication. I applaud their efforts and will keep coming back!
Its not super amazing but the internet is good. The people are nice and the price isnt that bad.
This place is a definitely must visit! The pc’s, equipment, and internet are excellent.
Came into the SDPC Help repair center and was given free credit at the Game Sync center, which is how I came to learn about this place. My kids loved it! Brought them back for a birthday party and it was a huge hit with their friends. Will definitely be back.
This place was very helpful for my children who were crying for Minecraft on a Sunday afternoon! Ive taken away their computers and they definitely dont like that. So at least as a treat for doing well in school, they can play there. Parents should definitely consider this as a safe haven if you dont want your kids playing at home.
This place is very passionate about its customers and the owner makes sure everyone is taken care of and is happy. I have not seen a more passionate person. Will definitely come back
As a customer I always look for two things in a LAN center: the vibe or feeling and the quality of the equipment. Of course other factors include what games are installed, and how the service is. I feel this company excels on all counts. Ive been really happy with the experience and I highly suggest you come by and check this place out.
This the only place I have found for kids to play. The facility is very high end. Really nice equipment. Good internet speeds. Friendly staff. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a place like this.
Came in and bought a day pass. Employee at the door was extremely dirty but friendly enough. As far as the internet, ping was pretty bad. Overwatch was unplayable on the computers even on low settings. Got disconnected from league of legends a handful of times. Cheap, but not clean or guaranteed better internet.
I come here every other day to play World of Warcraft. The computers are awesome. John (the staff) is extremely nice and helpful. Quite a small room, but other then that, i absolutely love it here.
Brought my kids here for a day of gaming. They had a great time. Quick note for any CSGO/FPS gamers: they now have 144hz displays. VERY FAST and bright, crisp 27 curved screens. Nice! These people are trying hard to get their center upgraded and expanded upon. I like the sincerity of their effort and will definitely continue to support them as they grow.
Came down to San Diego with my husband and stopped by to catch the current Overwatch event and had a blast! Their new place was super comphy despite it being a fairly hot day. All staff were super courteous and helpful! We will def be making this our go to PC arcade when were down in SD!
Never been here before stopping by yesterday afternoon @5 with two teens, only one that is a gamer. Maybe this place is fine for older gamers, but heads up this is definitely not a place for younger folks/families. Fan was in the door, it was hot and dark in the small place, the guy at the counter seemed annoyed that we walked in and my gamer didnt even want to go in to play. So we left. Not at all what we expected. As we got in the car, Another young kid and dad/older brother approached and turned around and left too.
Pretty good place for people to game together, dont know much about schedules, dont know if they do land partys or anything. But they have decent computers, it gets pretty hot in there. Most of the people are chill.
Im a huge video game fan and I really love the idea of a place like this. However, the guy working there, named John ruined the experience for me and my wife. He oggled her in a creepy and obvious manner as soon as we walked in. Frankly, it was disgusting. Due to this and Johns annoyance when I asked for assistance with logging into my station, Ill never go back here again. Nor will I recommend this place to anyone I know. Hopefully another place like this opens in San Diego.2Response from the owner9 months agoJohn was fired promptly after your review and no longer works at GameSync. We apologize for any inconvenience and wed be happy to load up your account with free time on us. Just contact us to arrange the hookup! The owner lied. John still works there and still ogles women when they come in, myself included.
Place is sick. Top shelf everything. Optimal gaming experience in every way. Staffs awesome as well. Had a fantastic time.
Had a random even happen when I was in game playing league when some random African American gentleman walks up to a customer and starts fighting with him when I’m just trying to enjoy the quality of my game hopefully it doesn’t happen again because I wanted to invite my friends to the center but after today I don’t know man
This is a good place for birthday parties. Brought a group of boys here and they played Minecraft for several hours. The recommendation came to me from a friend who had her boys party. The staff were friendly and all the kids had a blast. The kids cant wait to come back again.
Definitely check out Gamesync if youre in San Diego and looking for a great LAN experience. Its full of awesome people that are passionate about gaming. The computers, connection, and variety of games is unmatched!
This place I can assure you is fun whether or not you go with friends, the friendly yet competitive atmosphere this place gives is the pefrect setting for the amount of games you can play. All at a good price too. If you wanna have a game night (or day) Then I definitely recommend Game Sync as your go to place.
I did some remodeling and owner that Goes by Mr. Agragati and his contractor Jose Garcia Velenzuela aka Abraham. Will not pay a dime and scam me for my labor I have pictures of the work I did pulled cables for new outlets in VIP room patch more than 20 patches not only that but entrance where two tv are did outlets drywall patch mud and texture and painted in one day as requested and did it yet no payment. Abraham had agreed that MR Agragati will build a custom compete for my son that was a lie today Monday July 8 2019 around 9:30 am I went to pick up my tools Employee was very respectful with manners and didn’t not let me in to get my tools out to contact Abraham Abraham has not return my calls he ask to borrow money loan him money and suppose to pay me back before the first june28 2019 was the last time I talk to him I had to txt him from a different number pretending that I need work done not even seconds after msg he calls and found out it was me and wanted to hang up and told me he don’t have it that he has not gotten paid from argravati payment was made according to him owner states other wise both of them has block me don’t pick up call or txt . Scam artist took advantage now I’m no available to pay rent because non payment from either party contact owner he send me a txt msg it’s very unprofessional to ask a stranger for money . I worked for it . Do they have city permits ? Do they have licensed? Contractor lic? Should EDD get involved ? Labor commission ? Law sued non payment. This was owner response back“I have just called my attorney. You have absolutely no legal basis for any of this. Again, Abraham contracted you. I am the customer. What you are doing now to me is making threats. Thats called harassment. Stop contacting me or my business. ”
Went to my first smash tournament here, it was awesome and well organized!
Just visited here my first time with my girlfriend to play league, even though it was under construction and pretty much the whole building is ripped apart they still had courtesy to have at least one game room set up and in use. If you dont mind a little construction going on then i would highly suggest. 6$ an hour is pretty cheap for the quality of play they can provide. We duo’d league for 3 hours and had a steady 60ms and 200fps the whole time, great place cant wait til they are back on their feet fully.
This is THE place for gamers. Great staff and gear. Fiber internet. Fighting game weeklies on Saturdays. 5 stars, highly recommended
Great Place! They have events pretty often and give out tickets for prescreenings to movies. The computers are great, the internet is good, and the chairs are comfortable.
The dude who was running it was so god damn greasy he left fingerprints on my credit card. It was hot with no AC and overall very dirty and smelly pictures are either very old or from a different location altogether. Avoid at all costs.
Great and upcoming center for all CS: GO fanatics! The owner Paul with his vision in the gaming community will do big things when his project is completed. A must recommend for all gurus out there! 5 stars hands down! Buy Bitcoin too! He has a ATM machine for BTC!
This is my first time at a centre like this and I can easily say this has been one of my favourite gaming experiences. Very helpful staff who had me up and gaming almost as soon as I arrived. Played Overwatch for several hours and lost track of the time! I wasnt impressed by the venue, its a small area. However there is still ample room between computer stations for gaming, so the complaint is minor. Ive also seen reviews of dirty stations or unpleasant odors and experienced none of that, so it goes to show the staff are listening to their customers and trying to make coming here a memorable and positive experience. Will definitely be returning here frequently.
Tried to get more time to play, after having login problems. Was told I wouldnt be able to, and this was a recurring issue. Staff then proceeded to play 2K12, and didnt seem concerned with my issue.
Just went there today, the place was a complete disaster i left before my free hour was up. I may try again when they are relocated but this experience was honestly the worst ive had with a gaming lounge. I also feel that the equipment, other than the chairs and monitors are sub-par. Im going to a lounge to be on better equipment than i have at home and for a nice social atmosphere, this place has neither. It was just awkward being there.
Had a birthday party for 12 year old Minecraft fanatics and it was a blast. Everyone could play together and the kids were very interactive with each other. Used the Gamesync private world but you can bring in your own. Ordered pizza and brought in our own snacks and cake. It was easy, fast, youre in, youre out, youre done. Kids happy. Done.Edit: I dunno how my account left a review for this place, but I be careful of them using your account. Super suspect with they might your data like they did with mine.
Great environment! Top quality equipment and all around great people. Just the kind of community gamers require to flourish! 10/10
Fake pictures and doubtfully fake reviews fooled me to stop by on Monday. The entire place smells like garbage or a homeless camp, and the room looks nothing like the pictures.60% of the computers weren’t attached with a keyboard or mouse, and me & my friend couldn’t even find 2 seats that are next to each other despite the place is almost empty. While the staff was like “yo look, I have what I have!” He was also having a rude attitude when we were checking in.The hardwares are outdated as well. Overall it would be a very bad decision to visit.
Great place for playing games. Nice environment with friendly staff, played Counter Strike with ping averaging below 20.
Had an amazing experience back in 2017 and Ive seen the new location, it looks incredible. Staff are great, its supposed to open any day now, cant wait!
This is a nicely set up internet gaming center with high end equipment and incredible fiber speed. its definitely NOT a cybecafe from 1992 but you get what you pay for. Im leaving five stars for the quality, the service and the overall fun factor. Ive been here multiple times and have appreciated it every time. Nothing else like it in SD.
Really good place to kick back and learn how to play a game from their catalog. Equipment is good quality. Will be coming back!
Very friendly staff. Helped get a brand new setup so I could enjoy it when traveling to San Diego. Pings were ridiculously low!
WOW! Great service, good prices, UP TO DATE EQUIPMENT, its awesome. They also do LOL tournaments among other popular titles. They are also coming out with a gaming channel and live show, so look out for that!
Very respectful and professional toward gamers. Cant say much more than what was already said by others who reviewed. Their game room does not disappoint.
This place is great and is only getting better with their planned move to a bigger location. Very fast fiber and nice setups (gaming chairs, good quality peripherals, etc.) The only place in SD where you can play with some semi-pro gamers. One of their customers won the $60,000 prize for the H1Z1 tournament at twitchcon so they attract some talent!
Just opened a month ago, theyre continually improving the space but as is, its unique and really fun to play there!
During hot weather, the place gets ridiculously hot and becomes an uncomfortable environment for gaming, and starts to wreak in the gaming room. The gaming room itself is super small as well. The service isnt good, and the pricing is fairly expensive. I feel like the management for the LAN center isnt well managed and organized at all either and needs work. Its a shame I wasted money and hours and didnt have the desire to go back to the center any time in the future to play because the place lacked so many true characteristics of a LAN center. Its a place to have fun with friends on occasion, but horrible if you are trying to focus on becoming better at a game. My opinion: If you dont have the money for a good gaming PC and need a good PC to play on, perhaps invest time and money on building one. Because wasting time and money at GameSync to play games isnt worth it what so ever.
I ordered some hours there and while playing, one black guy started yelling at a Hispanic customer. Ive been there many times before and I think the black dude is racist or something. Im not fond of places that arent people friendly.
This place is cool for male gamers, I guess. The guy working when I came in stared at me like he had never seen a woman before, and it made me feel really uncomfortable. None of the games worked (infinite loading) and I didnt wanna ask for help cause I was creeped out.
Solid comps, went in late on a Sunday and the guys manning the place were happy to get me going on some PUBG into the wee hours of the morning. They are under construction currently at a new location but you can tell its gonna be badass. Happy to support a local e-sports/lan center.
I have been coming here for the last few months to play League and I have to say its great. If you are into that or any FPS titles, they have all the popular ones, plus MMORPGs etc.
Gamesync is such a awesome place to get some good gaming and internet. I don’t really know any other place in area. So, it’s the only place i can go to download games and also play without having to worry about lagging.
Great place to game. This is a true gamers corner. It could use some food and drinks, but it does what it needs to do
Staff was ehh, computers were alright but very limited seating and the place didnt seem very well maintained.
Disgusting, not for children, people sleeping, lights don’t work, etc.
The place was ok and have great equipments but:1- if you are willing to open 24 hours try to put some staff who are able to be awake to run the place (I entered maybe around 2 am and spending 15min to wake up the staff member just to give me some time to play)2- am a very frequent gamer goes to there but not anymore because of the price is little bit expensive to spend the day there, after going couple days i found out i spent more than $100 ( i have been in other game centers out of San Diego and they have the full day pass just for $15 and i latterly spend every day the whole day there)
Like the other reviews, I found this place to be fun and enjoyable with great equipment. Its not a retail experience visually because the owners are saving up to expand. But the equipment is top notch. 144hz on every station. Their VIP stations are incredible, Overwatch with full detail settings turned on is flawless and doesnt skip a beat. The fiber gives me about 5ms ping in Overwatch. Unbeatable.
Systems arent too high end but great for games like fortnite. Login and everything was a breeze. Inside the towers could use a good dusting, not aesthetically pleasing inside with undone floors and ethernet cables hanging from the walls. Also too bright inside at night. Either way Ill be back
This place is awesome if want somewhere to game with your friends. And the guy at the front desk is super chill 👌
