Good Therapy San Diego has been life changing for me, I could fill an entire page on all the positive shifts that have occurred in my life since I started.From booking my first session, to now being 6 months in therapy, everything has been an easy process. My therapist Lindsey is amazing, kind, empathetic. All the things you’d hope for from a therapist and I don’t think I could have been matched with a more perfect fit.The only regret I have is that I had started sooner, and I have even recommended GTSD to friends and family.
I have been attending one-on-one therapy sessions at Good Therapy for the last several months and it has been truly life changing. My therapist is Lindsey and I cant think of a better person to guide someone through a difficult time in their life. Shes such a positive force, and has a way of directing your attention where it needs to be for you to make forward progress. In todays world, there is so much extra noise that can distract you from what you really need to focus on to improve your life, and having an unbiased expert to help you sort things out has been invaluable to me.Our strategy has been to find the root cause of my issues (negative thought patterns) and try to deal with those troublesome core beliefs, so that I can go on to live a more fulfilling life. Every week we pull back a few more layers and I learn something about myself.As with any collaboration like this, you get out of it what you put in. If you are considering therapy sessions, I would recommend keeping a notebook to write down things of importance and difficult experiences throughout the week, so that you get the most out of your session time. She also helps me to come up with concrete weekly goals so I can have something new to work on every week.Lindsey routinely goes the extra mile and sends me links to materials/books/talks that she thinks I would find useful throughout the week.Im also very impressed with her memory! Even now she will remind me of a small detail that I brought up in session months ago. Its pretty wild.Overall, the decision to start therapy was one of the best I have made. Im still a work in progress but now have some solid goals and direction, instead of just anxiety, depression and confusion. Lindsey is a beyond amazing!! Couldnt have picked a better therapist! Ive been working with Lindsey for nearly 6 months now. She has been very patient with my growth. She allows me to speak freely without judgement. I feel very comfortable opening up to Lindsey. She is able to give me perspective and help me to not feel alone with my struggles. I have noticed an improvement in myself since working with her. I am fully embracing therapy and recommend to anyone that is even thinking of trying it. I feel like it is a tool that I never realized I needed. Good Therapy and Lindsey are very accommodating and their office is very comfortable and cute!
John has helped my husband and I through a very difficult year. Hes thoughtful, fair and extremely knowledgeable, and we come away from each session with insight and a renewed sense of hope that things can only get better. Therapy is hard work, and John is right there to help us navigate through our emotions, struggles and questions. Highly recommend.
To be cliché, Good Therapy has and continues to change my life for the better. It takes 2 to tango, so you must be open and willing and ready for change. If you put in the work, you will see your life get better by the day. Chelsea Salas is my therapist and saying thank you just is not enough. Chelsea is there for you and listens intently and with open eyes. I enjoy that she challenges me and helps push me in the right direction for where I want my life to go. Chelsea is such a wonderful person and has the knowledge to truly help you take control of your life. She is gentle, kind, and judgement free. I sincerely dont know how to describe how helpful Chelsea and the Good Therapy team are. To echo my earlier statement, it takes 2 to tango, you must put in work on yourself and the Good Therapy team will help you do so. Chelsea and I continue to make strides for the better, I look forward to continuing my journey, and I recommend Good Therapy to anyone out there needing even just a little help.

I started seeing Christina seven months ago because the isolation/anxiety of Covid was starting to wear on me. This was my first time seeing a therapist and I am so incredibly grateful to have found her during this time. She is so accessible and insightful as a therapist but also makes me feel like Im talking to a friend who happens to provide valuable/legitimate feedback. She is always direct with me and holds me accountable which I appreciate above all else. I love her energy and honesty in our sessions. I always leave feeling positive and open regardless of how I arrived at the session. My goals for therapy were initially only Covid related but as I work with Christina, they are becoming more multifaceted to my life as a whole. She is an amazing mental health ally!I am also so happy with the service and affordability of Good Therapy as a whole. When I first started looking for a therapist I was so discouraged with the cost and availability of what was out there until I found GT. From initial set up with Lindsey to my first appointment with Christina, I felt very well taken care of by everyone.
Katie is the best therapist I have ever had! She has helped me through multiple difficult situations in my life, but most notably through a traumatic experience. Her use of EMDR helped me recover from the trauma and negative emotions much faster than expected and I will be forever grateful for her help. She is compassionate, funny, and truly amazing at what she does.
Hanna is amazing. I feel so much more grounded after each session with her. She strikes the best possible combination of being an empathetic and non-judgmental listening ear and giving concrete, super helpful strategies to be more mindful and develop self-compassion. Highly, highly recommend.
I have been seeing Ashley Fecteau for a few months now for EMDR therapy and have been loving the experience. I was a little worried at first about how everything would work since it had to be online given the pandemic. I am pleased that so far its been pretty seamless and from the first day she made sure I felt comfortable with our setting. She is the sweetest person, takes her time to listen to me, always makes sure to check in on how Im doing/feeling. She makes me feel like her #1 priority when were in a session. So far, she has equipped me with good strategies and tools to face difficult or triggering situations which is incredibly helpful and part of the reason I wanted to try this kind of approach. I always feel heard and understood, she is very respectful, and open-minded. As a patient who is a woman of color, I truly appreciate Ashleys openness and willingness to understand not only my story, and culture, but also how that plays a role in my healing journey. She truly creates a safe space for her patients. I cant recommend her enough!

Ive been seeing Chelsea for nearly 2 years now. The progress that we have made in this time has been significant. I love how she supports and empowers me to lead my sessions while also holding space for me to process in a non-linear way. She holds me accountable in a kind and accepting way and has helped me uncover my own blindspots. Im grateful for the support she provides me and the way she meets me where Im at without making me feel like I need her. But I know she is there when I do.

Tiffany with Good Therapy is our Family & Couple/Marriage Therapist and she is phenomenal. When we first came to her I was burdening my family with my Type 1 Diabetes, ADHD & BiPolar 2 issues and didnt even realize that addressing these things was a source of pain for us until she gave us the tools to communicate, through some rough sessions that significantly eased our tensions and manic emotions. She deeply seeks to understand the individuals and the family dynamics and quickly felt like a part of our family. We still have good deep sessions but with understanding through Tiffanies council and Homework and we look forward to every one, shes family now.
My psychiatrist kept nudging me to go out and find a therapist. It had been years seen Id seen one and I could never find the right fit. I found Good Therapy and was paired up with Stephanie based on my situation of life after divorce.Ive been seeing her for a few months now and she had an immediate impact from my first session. I felt safe expressing myself and not being judged for anything I said. I have been to other therapists before and did only one visit, because I could tell by the expression on their faces and the way they spoke to me; I was being judged.Stephanie is a great listener, easy to talk to, professional and genuinely cares. The sessions Ive had with her are very interactive and helpful but it doesnt just end with the session, she gives me homework. She makes me feel productive and that Im moving forward to face fears and/or hit goals.Im so happy that I found Stephanie! I look forward to seeing her for my sessions. She is my soundboard, outlet and makes me feel better about myself. I highly recommend Stephanie!
My experience with Stephanie as been absolutely incredible. She has been so understanding and accepting. She listens to me and has offered me really good tools to use in my life. She never judges, she is there for me 100%. I was have some grief issues after a loss in my life and was having trouble dealing with my feelings. She has helped me so much. She is so kind and understanding, and I really feel like I can open up to her. Her advice has helped me so much and I really have gained a bigger understanding about myself and the world around me. I HIGHLY recommend Stephanie at Good Therapy. Also, their offices are beautiful, clean and really nicely decorated. They feel like a homey, comfortable and safe place. The office manager is also really great about helping me submit my sessions to my insurance company. We have been seeing Tiffany for pre marital counseling up until our wedding date and she has been great! She has helped us through a lot of things that my partner and I were not seeing eye to eye on. We are so thankful for our sessions with Tiffany and her approach. Though one challenging thing we have found is to get in touch with her about scheduling. There is no receptionist or someone who manages the schedule for each therapist. Besides that, we have had a wonderful experience at Good Therapy! I would highly recommend Tiffany to anyone looking for a good therapist to help guide you into a strong and healthy marriage. I am now a true believer in therapy and see the benefits of it. I now feel so confident because she has helped us have those tricky conversations and talk about every aspect of our life together.
Ill just start this by saying I was someone who did not believe in therapy. I thought it was something great for other people but not for me. I came to see Chelsea because I went through something heart breaking and awful, and after months of hoping the pain would go away with no success, I felt I was out of options. Chelsea has literally saved my mental health. She helped me process the trauma and heart break, layer by layer and helped me to make peace with an awful thing. Before seeing her I was anxious, couldnt sleep, and could not stop my brain from dwelling and obsessing over this horrible situation. Ive been seeing her for about 6 months now, and I have never felt better in all areas of my life. My friends have noticed a huge growth in me as a human being and didnt have any idea I was going to therapy. Once I shared, now they all want to see her! She immediately made me feel comfortable and I honestly look forward to seeing her each time because it feels like having an hour with a friend. I can not recommend her enough, and again... this is coming from someone who didnt believe in therapy!
I have worked with Katie Brooks and Good Therapy SD for some time now and am always really impressed with the quality of therapy as well as their level of communication. I’ve had therapists struggle to return phone calls or stay consistent with their follow up in the past, but this has never been the case at GT. It’s very evident that Katie and her team truly care about their patients. In turn I have referred friends and family members to them and absolutely would again! I always feel like I am welcomed and cared about with them!

Good Therapy set me up with my therapist, Heather, and she is the best. When I contacted Good Therapy, they quickly responded and I felt like they really wanted to help me out- I was set up with an appointment the next day! I remember being extremely grateful for the next day availability (I was/am going through many mid-20s hardships and was feeling pretty desperate). I am so happy I was placed with Heather. She listens to all my crazy thoughts and is my unbiased cheerleader. I trust she has my best interest in mind, and even when I am stubborn and dont like what she has to say, Ive gotta admit that she is usually right. Are you going through an identity crisis? Young, inexperienced “cheerleader” staff that cater mainly to female clients. They have no male staff at either location. My session was completely useless, awkward and a waste of time. Would not recommend to anyone over 25 or men in general.
