The staff is usually very nice and helpful. There are lines but they work pretty fast most of the time! It’s just a busy location, I have been going here for almost a year and haven’t had any issues yet. Packages always get to where I’m sending them and I’ve never had a bad experience here. Sometimes they’re super slow and like to have convos then the line takes forever but otherwise mostly great. Thanks!

I dont care what anyone says, the Post Office is always cheaper. Fedex, UPS, indie mailing business have up to 150% mark ups. Its not convenient to ever lose money. And those business, still have to mail through the post office. Even when I was told by an indie my package would take longer with the P.O... It didnt. Another means to create fear and monopolizing.This particular location is fast, always staffed and has employees that are knowledgeable and trying to help you save more. They are extremely patient and try to help you get to a solution. There is ample parking, drive thru drop off mail, in person services and p.o. boxes, if you choose.Forgot your boxes? Get it here. Need a mailing envelope? Get it here. Need a gretting card, a good one? Get it here. Need a gift card? Boom, youre covered.I come here different times of the day and Im never in a line more than 5 minutes.Several languages are spoken at this location. Facial coverings and latex gloves with hand sanitizers are tightly practiced. The post office still exists and should because it is for the people, not for profit.#lindavistapostoffice

Horrible experience at another USPS office. Went in to purchase a dozen bubble mailers ahead of time because I figured its eaiser to pack everything and write down the address at home. The staff that sold me the mailers didnt mark anything on them. And I didnt know it would be an issue at the time as it was my first time purchasing USPS envelops ahead of time.The second time when I went in to ship the packages, I was told that I needed to pay for the mailers as theres no mark paid on the mailers. I contested that I already paid for it, and confronted the staff that sold me the mailers. Guess what? She completely denied the transaction with me and lied to her coworker that she would never forget to mark the envelops she sold.Save your headache and avoid USPS. Id rather pay a premium for UPS/FedEx next time than dealing with liars!!

Horrible customer service. Save yourself the trouble, and go to a different postal office. One of the postal worker name Lane was extremely rude, and constantly giving me attitude. Thats not how youre suppose to treat your customer. I dont understand why the hiring management would hire someone like that. Totally disappointed about the recent visit. It was my first time visiting this location and it will definitely be my last.

Well...went to pick up a parcel, and the first Lady gave me an old package that my wife order 5 months ago, then refused to go and look for the one I was there to pick, that I had a ticket for...she said there was no other packages with my name on them...so I got back in line and was seen by a younger woman who was able to retrieve 3 other packages that my wife and i order 2 or so months back. Still not the right one tho....so i was told to wait at the end of the counter where i was help by a young man, who was able to find the correct package and 4 other that were lost...wow but the best part was the old ladys look when 8 more packages came out. I looked at her and said Really? No other boxed address to me...thats weird... now I have no problems getting mail from this location.

I stopped by today to mail a gift I made for a friend. I was helped by a woman named April and she was extremely helpful, friendly, fast, and kind. I noticed when I plugged in the location to Google Maps to get here that the ratings were so low--I wanted to throw in a positive experience as well.

Came here to mail off an envelope amongst other things. The person who helped me was super friendly and courteous. Great conversationalist. Very polite. This is definitely one of the largest post offices Ive been in. It has a decent sized parking lot. The place is very roomy and lots of PO Boxes. But like all other post offices, usually there are only 2 employees that handle the front. As a result, theres always a line. But regardless, youll at least feel comfortable while waiting in line. Everything they have is stocked, for example, the flat rate boxes of varying sizes.Overall, Ive had nothing but friendly encounters with the employees.

Terrible service. Super slow. They lost my package and the Manager decided to not come out to look for it. Have been waiting here for over an hour. Do not come to this postal office. AMAZON FOR THE WIN.It even gets worse when they call me back 3 days saying they have found the package. Now I will have to go back and wait another hour to see if it is even there. Our postal delivery person Anthony Smith started refusing service to the business I work for stating he feels unsafe by my service dog. The dog is always on the leash when outside and even inside. He has made comments about the business I work for being a fags business unknowingly to the sales manager by the mailbox the week before. I would not take this into consideration normally but, he is still delivering mail to everyone in the cluster of mailboxes except for our company. He clearly has something against us and for USPS to allow this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. We are now reaching out to ABC 10 news. In the picture below is the mailboxs that he is still delivering to. This clearly shows that he is not afraid of a dog and just plain discriminating the company I work for and myself. This is 2017 grow up.

BEWARE! SHADY AND SUSPICIOUS LOCATION!Do not go to this location! Dropped off my packages in this location for the first time after business hours and packages are NOWHERE TO BE FOUND now ! $380 worth of goods are MISSING, USPS refuses to reimburse me because there is no proof! They also refuse to check the CCTV or investigate. I wish Google had an option to give -1 star. I have lived in Linda Vista more than 6 months and I have lost 2 important mail. One was from my school reimbursement check that I am still waiting due to the first missed one. I was subscribed for Informed Delivery so I can track all mails. When I came to talk to Manager he said it might have happened because delivery guys messed up with mail boxes and basically nobody takes responsibility for that. They gave me a tip to reach out to the places where I expected mail from and resend it....really? Wow. If you live in a community and wait the mail, Big, Fat recommendation, if you have a chance, stand right behind the delivery person while they sort mail and make sure it wont be lost. Unfortunately theres no other way you can track your mail. Honestly, I never had that issue before but I think theres no trust to these careless employees, you just have to keep an eye on it

Carrier did not deliver my important signature on delivery letter where I was staying, decided to mark it “addressee unknown” and did not leave any communication. When I finally realized my mail was not delivered I tracked it and this post office sent it to Pasadena Processing center without any communication at all. The first week the manager said to fill out the online tracking form. I did and it stopped tracking for 5 days. This past week when it was 9 days late and lost, he asked me why I didn’t fill out a missing mail request and why I “took so long to report it to him.” I told him I had come in last week and spoke directly with him. He acted oblivious and then went to the back “To do something” for a extended period of time and never came back out to finish helping me. I left and reported The incident to the national postal service. Choosing to not deliver a letter and not communicate with a note on the mailbox or the door and then make the executive decision to return it to a processing center without even trying to deliver it was truly unprofessional and ridiculous.

This place is the worst in terms of customer service. There is often a long line no matter the time or day. Tuesday at 11 am theres a line to the door. One window open with an obviously new hire working it. With 3 other ladies standing behind him chatting it up. People in line asking if they could open another window just to he ignored. I hate this place. The mail man that delivers to my apartment is also from this station. If theres to much mail in my box he resorts to smashing the mail into the box. So I get the lovely wadded up ball of junk mail to look forward to every couple days. USPS has just become such a joke. Its no wonder they are a bankrupt organization clenching on to their dying days. The government needs to shut this costly operation down. These people take no pride in their jobs and are beyond lazy. Let these people try this type of work ethic in the private sector. Word to the wise, choose ANY OTHER delivery service over USPS.

Never going to ship anything else with USPS. Paid for an overnight express delivery, and when I tracked my package the day after at the time it was supposed to arrive and it STILL said it was in San Diego. The people who work there are nice and friendly, but I am never shipping anything of the slightest value or emergency with USPS. Do NOT ship with USPS. Other places might be more expensive but it is well worth it to not have this kind of headache.

Im always treated courteously and efficiently at the Linda Vista Post Office. Many times employees go out of their way to make sure Im able to accomplish what I need to do, whether mailing a package locally or to a foreign country, put a hold on my mail, find commemorative stamps, or mail an important document, etc. Ive never had any problems getting assistance.

I recently had the misfortune of having to go to the Linda Vista Post Office on Comstock road in San Diego. Not only was the customer service counter the most disorganized mess I have ever seen at a post office after waiting for 20 minutes I was told I was on the wrong line for package pickups and the clerk couldn’t help me at her window. I was then redirected 10 feet further down the counter to wait on another line for my package. All of this time wasted to find out that the post office sent the package back after holding it for one day when they should have held it for 15 daysIt’s reprehensible that there is no signage to direct customers but what’s more upsetting was the clerks complete lack of concern and an arrogance about my making a mistake regarding her process. I was unable to get her name because she ushered me away as she “had a line” but the clerk that upset me is an older Latinx woman with brown hair and highlights. I think the least the postmaster at this location could do is to put up better signage to help direct customers and train your employees better on how to provide customer service. Really disappointed in this interaction which is unfortunate given the competitive pressures USPS has from private firms. This is my first experience with my local post office I hope to see it improve.

Weve had several instances of poor service through this USPS location since living in the neighborhood in 2014. We have frequently been delivered other peoples mail to our address. Sometimes the mail carrier skips our mailbox entirely, even when we have outgoing mail inside. Also, on two occasions I have had mail lost in transit after mailing through this location. Im glad were moving away. Very disappointing.

The employees that have helped me the 2 or 3 times I have been in here are the nicest people in the world! I literally told my girlfriend they are so nice I almost want to get a coffee with them and just learn about their lives.The only negative thing about this place is that the line can get rather long, but the employees themselves are extremely friendly and helpful! I have had no problems with sending packages or mail in general from here.

The USPS should be ashamed of themselves.They make a good case as to why people should be replaced by robots in the workforce. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I just came home from an horrible situation at this location. Rude inconsiderate staff especially the black woman with braids. She gives you a mean face and spits out obscenities out loud. Really loud. People left the postal office behind me in line. I guess they know how bad this place is and will not tolerate to be treated same way when they are next in line.The supervisor, the asian woman is just quite. She seems to be afraid of her staff. You would expect her to take control of the situation regardless who is at fault?I can say that I have never been treated this bad as long as I can remember by anyone. Why is this place even open? How can they keep their job? No customer service mindedness at all. It was pure madness instead. Is there no higher supervisor who reads the reviews for this place and does something about this place? I suggest firing that black woman with braids and either teaching the asian woman who is the supervisor to have management skills or hiring someone new with goal to improve the reviews and the service. Wow! To those saying this is a wonderful USPS location....you either work for them or you have a friend that does and they have asked you nicely to leave a good review. To the jerk, Jack Daniels, you have no idea what we are complaining about. I do have my act together and know how and what method to use for shipping. Hence, why I use UPS or FedEx! Clearly I have no choice on delivery options though! When the person I buy from ships USPS, Im left to chance! My first bad experience was a shipping delay for a run event! Never received my shirt, bib, etc! They could not find my package for a week. Turns out, it was there all along. Now, Im having trouble getting them to leave packages. They just stick a note inside my mailbox. Do not even attempt to knock on my door!! I have never seen such lazy people. Even though Im home, I still have to run to the PO to pick up a package that was literally 10 feet from my front door!! Aggravating! When I try to call...guess what? Yep. You got it! NO ANSWER! Your letter carriers/ mailmen are rude and can apparently choose which house they can deliver mail. Youll get your mail late or not at all if the mailman doesnt like you. Ive had issues with an older man with white beard and glasses that has told us he doesnt have to give us our mail because of some lawn chairs which he says are in his way. We dont have a fence, he can simply walk down my steps. Terrible post office, NEEDS new management as soon as possible

This Post Office does not answer their phone. They do not get anything right. I even paid for premium forwarding one year (because they didnt get the regular forwarding right the year before) and they didnt even do that properly. I paid for a service they didnt do. I paid for weekly forwarding and I got mail once a month (and only after going through upper management). They used to get holding mail right, but my neighbor told me my mail is piling up (Im away) and I cant get a hold of anyone at the PO! Very frustrating.

Theres an extremely rude (philipina?) lady with a very bad attitude that shouldnt be working here. All people want to do is send packages to loved ones for the holidays, and her interactions were much less than polite. I wish I knew her name but I never see a name tag on her. I stood in line for 10 minutes as I watched this lady interact with each person with such irritation, very unkind facial expressions, and disrespectful tones in her voice....with EVERYBODY. I dont understand how someone can be THAT nasty so early in the morning. If a supervisor sees this, she worked 11/22/16 at 10:20 in the morning. 10:20a.m. is BARELY enough time to start having a bad day. If you arent happy at work, dont be there. Horrible experience.

Id like to give higher for on-site support but numerous times Ive tried calling and nobody answers the phone. At one point (a year or two back) I even had calls disconnected (sounded like the line was picked up and then hung up). While starting to write this review with 1 star, I was on the phone with constant ringing. This time someone actually answered the phone! David was polite and very helpful. In summary, I might accept that this Post Office is simply busy and the phones take 2nd priority to on-site / in-store customers. But my experience with the staff themselves has been positive. I think Im being fair with this review.

THE POST OFFICE LOST MY KEY. LOL I have to pay fir another one. Clerk Blanca askef me to talk to a supervisor. So I had to get in another line. A rude black clerk would not allowed me to deal with the supervisor.He wanted me to tell him the reason that I needed to talk to the supervisor.Was rude and attemped to ridicule me.The supervisor and other clerks were laughing at a client after he last saying. Worst customer service. Tracked my package on my phone and it said it was there, none of the rude employees could find it so they buzz a bell for the manager to come out. It takes the manager about 15 min just to come out and talk to me. Then he says he cant find the package either, sends me on a wild goose chase to the general delivery post office. To put a long story short my package was not there either and still to this day, nobody knows where it is.

I am a PO Box holder here and since I have opened my PO Box I have been receiving someones mail that is not mine. Its been a couple years now and I have tried to bring it to the front, talk to a supervisor, write return to sender, throw it back through to the other side etc. Nothing has worked they dont really seem to care. Been here at all different hours the line is always staked and the people who work this counter look about as excited to help you as I would look if you were offering me a prostate exam.Sometimes they have attitude, but mostly just a distaste for customers/ whoever is in line. This isnt worst case scenario, but the fact that they get things wrong all the time is my problem. Misquoting shipping prices, giving me other peoples certified mail, not holding other peoples mail etc.I would say close this location, but that would make my life a pain in the butt, but I definitely think they could be replaced by some nice mail meters and maybe a couple people who have an interest in what they are doing. The people who work here just dont care and that sucks.

We have my packages getting picked up daily and this new younger lazy postal man was assigned just new and hes a total aloof with sunglasses on, and a chewing gum in the mouth and kicking our door to get in every time to get in and out. I warned him several times which made him more annoyed and he was becoming more rude every day. One day he picked up boxes that didnt have any labels on it and and disappeared. When he came back the next day he brought back only one of them and he denied that he didnt do anything wrong and it was my bad to keep boxes in my office. The boxes were on the opposite side of the USPS boxes which he never picked from there before. He did this on purpose and he wanted to steal them and I have the camera records. I got in touch with his supervisor which had spent time to come to my office to get more information. He came by his area manager which kind of calmed me down and they said they will try to find the package. But of course they couldnt because that was obvious that he either dumped it or sold it. The value of the package was $500 by the way. I couldnt even file a claim because this was a robbery without any label on it. I was left alone on this after couple emails saying that they were unable to find the package. These people are there just to get paid and they use every single of their right to abuse customers and the system. They are literally untouchable and un-fireable including the managers supervisors and postalmen. Stay aware of these robbers and thieves. They are day time thieves that would steal by staring into your eyes. I have the names and records of the emails and record of him picking up my boxes for proofs if anyone needs for a class action or etc.

If you come in the morning its the older ladies getting stamps usually 3 deep, if you come at lunch people remember they need to mail a bill, So now its 6 deep. I was supposed to have a package delivered to my apartment around three weeks ago but they did not leave the package at my door, and instead, left me a note saying that i could come pick it up or schedule a redelivery. i scheduled a redelivery online for friday, june 16th. it is now the 28th and i still do not have the package. when i try to call this post office it rings for a very long time and no one picks up. quite possibly the worst postal service ive ever had.

I have NEVER had an issue here and I ship stuff all the time. The difference is, I know what Im doing when I ship a package. I dont ask stupid questions and fumble around trying to figure out which shipping option I want. Ive already done that research. If you need your hand held and decisions to be made for you like a child then rush home to leave a nasty review when the clerk doesnt kiss your @ss to your standards then maybe you should go to Fedex or UPS and see how they treat you instead. Maybe you should do your due diligence and figure out your shipping options ahead of time before going into the post office and being a public nuisance when there are 20 people in line behind your dumb @ss. The one thing this place could do to improve the experience would be to install at least one self-serve kiosk so those of us who know what were doing could skip the dummy line.

Staff is hit or miss. A package of mine needed pick up but never said where, so in talking with the first guy he was very polite and tried to help. He then passed it to another worker who was using the only PC for tracking, I guess? When talking with her she sounded like she was done for the day, slight irritation in her voice and didnt seem very happy. While I did get my stuff, I felt like I had annoyed her for being there.

I dropped my package last October 2nd, right after they opened the door 9:00 A.M and thats on Thursday morning, the package should arrived to the destination by Saturday Oct. 5th, apparently the People who I handed the package to screwed up my package and did not start processing the package until I called the next day which is Friday Oct.3.2014 to check of why there is NO Status of my package posted? I guess they screwed up so the package showing that it was accepted on Friday Oct. 3, which is a LIE....If I did not called the next day God knows when they deliver my package or maybe just sitting around at the Postal....So this package was Two days delayed because of their screwing up or carelessness...Today Oct.6, 20I4 around 12:40sh this afternoon I dropped another Package that supposedly go to MO and their system showing up that its delivered at 12:43 P.M. San Diego......Hello, Postal People cant you do your job right? The package its from San Diego and need to go to the right address on the package....Screwed up again Two times in a week, Really? thats how difficult your job that You guys can not read of where the package supposedly go to? I will NEVER Drop my mail again on this Location, it must be the PEOPLE who works there that doesnt care their job except just their PAYCHECK....I am so disappointed this Location....Today the second packaged that I handed to the Cashier over the Counter last Monday which is on October 6th, the Filipina Lady screwed up my package too, instead scanning to accept the package she scanned it as Delivered....Why people cant do their job right they have been doing this every day for many years and now they seems they dont care.....Whats the point of purchasing a Freaking USPS tracking Numbers if it is not good because there is No Status of the package to see? ITS USELESS... I called their 800 too last Tuesday Oct 7,2014 it takes forever for someone to picked up the Phone and She said She emailed this particular Location to change the Status of my Package from Delivered to Acceptance and until Today Oct. 8,2014, its still same information of my package No changes....This is really, really BAD.

Employees seem to hate their job, especially the older black woman. She treats you like an idiot and yells at you if you don’t have everything ready for her. If you hate customer service that much, just work in the back room or switch to a different career.

Every time we have a substitute mail delivery person and I have a pkg to be delivered it doesn’t get delivered even though I am home. I had mail sit (according to postmark when it finally got to recieprient) 3 and 4 weeks. Mail has been dropped on sidewalk and found behind bushes. It’s been an ongoing problem since 2000.

It is just awful. There is always a waiting line for more than 10min. It feels like the employees are just working really slowly and are not putting the customer first. Really frustrating
