This company just left my Range, on the doorstep, no phone call saying they were delivering the item, no signature required to take the item, just left it on the front door step. Could have been damaged, stolen, or who knows... I would stay away from this company.
Excellent job! Arrived as promised, driver/deliveryman was able to place the 750 lb box where i requested, delivery occurred on a Saturday (convenient for me), nothing damaged, broken -- I was happy! A company that performs as promised!! I recommend R and L Carriers! Phil
Your San Marcos driver has got to be the worst, I pick you guys through WorldWideExpress and there are many other options. His attitude is so off putting, exasperated by his job, I would rather pay a higher freight cost then deal with him, if you know the local office you know who I am talking about. Sad cause otherwise I would use you a lot more
Was told to sign for package before i could review the items which is what my shipping company exactly said not to do. Driver was unable to communicate and said if I didnt sign immediately he would take my stuff back.
We had a little miss communication regarding our delivery phone number. After calling and speaking the manager, Ken, about the situation. He was able to make our delivery happen in a timely manner.
Due to covid restrictions we dont have staff on site normally, but we were told we would get a 30 minute courtesy call prior to delivery. We did not get such a call, but instead an angry phone call from the driver to one of our staff saying he was at our business and nobody was there. So our staff member hopped in her car and drove over to receive the delivery. We had about 50 boxes and when our staff member asked for some help in bringing the boxes inside, the driver said not my job and hopped in his truck and drove away.
Good company to work for. Almost to years working here and the crew is one of the best ones I have work with.
Worst delivery experience Ive ever had. The driver was immediately angry and rude from the moment he arrived. He refused to bring my package to my door. I offered to have him drive around back to the garage and he also refused. I said he could leave it on the sidewalk if he preferred, and he also refused. He then proceeded to put an entire wooden pallet in the gutter of the street with my one tiny box on it and leave it there, refusing to do anything further. Ive honestly never experienced such a trashy delivery from any carrier, ever. Highly recommend avoiding this company for any of your delivery needs.Edit: what other details do you need? I called your customer service right after this happened, and the lady laughed at me.

My customer in La Mesa had a delivery made yesterday afternoon. She said Mark was the delivery driver. He was by far the nicest and most helpful driver I have experienced. Let me know if there is an opportunity to provide a review or feedback in that industry. That says a lot because my customer is extremely busy! Thank you R+L Carriers for taking great care of my customer. We both really appreciate your great service. Also, Christina from the main office was super nice/helpful when I called in... We will use their service again!
Our delivery situation is a bit complicated and our driver, Ricardo Andrad, went above and beyond to deliver our product exactly where we needed it! We were very impressed that he put in the extra effort to exceed our expectations! Thank you Ricardo!
We use these guys regularly for our freight shipments out of Vista, CA and they do a fantastic job
BAD Delivery ServiceR&L Carrier called late Friday afternoon wanted to schedule delivery Mon 9-1 only They offered Tuesday 9-1 but I was out of town, sorry we will have to send the shipment back and you will pay for it thats there customer service. They dont deliver on weekends or later in the day. finally. Spoke to supervisor she settled for Wed am.Took off work for delivery Wednesday morning. Truck driver can only leave the 201lb shipment by sidewalk cant bring it in and if I refuse the shipment they will charge me. So he decided to be nicer brought it close to my door since he saw my struggle trying to move it. He states since you are a lady i dont want you to get hurt, but if you pay me a gratuity and bring it - WOW!Did I have a choice - I paid?I took off work just to make sure my shipment arrives safe.HOW SAD!
Im going to buck the trend here and talk about my positive experience with R+L Carriers. I had a mini-split air conditioning system shipped to me from Miami recently. R+L called me to arrange delivery, which was inconvenient since I cant hang around my house for 4 hours during the business day since I work for a living. I was given the option to sign a release so I wouldnt have to be home for delivery, but instead they allowed me to swing by during my lunch to pick up my AC system. They took all the separate boxes off the pallet for me to easily load into my small vehicle, which I drove back onto their loading dock so it was a short trip to carry the items. I didnt need help loading but I was offered. Also, no obvious shipping damage was noticed.
Horrible customer service shown by their representatives when I called to ask about my shipment. I specifically asked for a small truck since I live in a small apartment complex, they said that it was ok that they would just send my shipment in a small truck. Once the delivery guy calls me I go outside to open the gate and I see a huge semi truck. All my neighbors were pissed since the truck was blocking all the spaces. Plus I got in a lot of trouble with the complex manager. I can guarantee that I will NEVER be using R+L Carriers again.
R&L Carriers is a dishonest company that tries to hide and charge hidden fees. The driver pickup up my shipment in a public cul-de-sac because he was lost. I personally loaded the shipment myself. I then later got a $100 charge (more than the shipment cost) because the pickup location was NEAR an airport (not on an airport). They then changed their mind to say it was in front of a college (no colleges nearby) and refused to remove the fraudulent charge. These people are crooks that I will NEVER use again. Avoid!!
