Dikran custom made my engagement ring and our wedding bands. They are beautiful and so special to us. He was fantastic to work with and helped us to design the rings that we want to wear for the rest of our lives. The quality of our jewelry is second to none. His pricing is extremely fair and reasonable- a good value for what you get. We could not be happier and highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled jeweler.

My experience working with Dikran was amazing! I first came into Dikrans shop with a vague idea on the engagement ring that I wanted. He listened to my interests and concerns and advised me on how to go about researching further on my own.Once I decided which direction I wanted to go with the ring, he was there to help provide me with the necessary guidance to make my vision come to life. He was always available to meet and very kind and amiable, chatting with me about music and soccer.In the end, the ring turned out beautiful and my fiance loves it! After much searching, low and behold, I saw a glint, ran over, and found it was my ring, though flattened and missing one diamond.Extremely elated of having found my favorite unique ring, I embarked on my journey to find a jeweler to repair my ring…..someone I could trust and hopefully within my budget.Thus began my online search among Jewelry Repairers reviews. I found one jeweler in each category from Inexpensive, Moderate, and then Expensive. I visited all three jewelers at their place of business in the following order: Inexpensive, Expensive, Moderate. After not having a good “feeling” with the first two, I had hopes my last consideration would be successful.I had read Dikran’s business history of how he started in La Jolla and after many years, decided to relocate closer to home in Scripps Ranch. That told me 2 things I liked already about Dikran, that he cherished his family first, and his career second. Later, I found out that his store name, Dasheen, is a combination of his sons’ names. My husband and I are often called old-fashioned, but I think we’re just more sentimental. We both enjoy meeting people who are like-minded to us and enjoy telling and listening to each other’s life’s interests. We found Dikran very warm, friendly, genuine, but also light-hearted with a sense of humor. Though my ring repair was minor compared to the beautiful, elegant engaging pieces of his own custom design work, he was able to sense and respect my attachments to this ring my mother gave me. His description of how he could repair the ring without having to cut the band, instilled in me confidence that he would be able to accomplish the task. Dikran took the time to educate my husband and me with the heart of a teacher. The result is amazing and looks better and newer than I’ve ever seen the ring. Dikran made the ring present itself with even more pizzazz by adding rhodium to the prong tips that held the small diamonds, resulting in adding more sparkle to the ring, drawing one’s eyes to the diamonds. This extra touch demonstrated to me the pride Dikran had in his craft to make his results even better than original.After leaving his store, and while waiting for my ring to be repaired, Dikran had instilled in us such confidence in his expertise, that I remembered I had a gold anklet that I wanted to have a split hoop soldered. Twice, the hoop split open while I was wearing it, and my anklet would fall off. Luckily I didn’t lose it. We ended up bringing the anklet to Dikran when we went to pick up my ring, and asked if he could repair it also, hopefully while we waited. Dikran was able to solder shut the split ring on the anklet in a little over an hour, and now I can wear my gold anklet with less trepidation of it falling off and getting lost.My husband and I enjoyed Dikran’s warm and friendly demeanor and appreciate his honest, appropriately priced jewelry repair. We are very happy that we’ve found a great jeweler for not only repairs, but for future unique jewelry purchases or for custom designed jewelry. It’s been a long time since we’ve found a “gem” of a business (pun intended).

My partner purchased me an antique platinum ring from 1910. It is an exceptional piece but the main stone was loose and needed an extremely talented craftsmen to make secure and reset in the same Edwardian style. Dikran is a master of his trade. He is kind, a great listener and very calming. The work he did was so perfect that we asked him to build my wedding band from scratch. I picked up my forever piece today and cried. It is exactly how I envisioned. Such a piece of new work done in the Edwardian style that I requested. I could not recommend this gentleman more. If you have a new or old piece, his attention to detail and care are unmatched.

Dasheen Jewelry Studio gives their customers an outstanding experience, and above all else, they have integrity. I had taken them an engagement ring setting that had been purchased at another jeweler. This particular ring had lost its halo diamonds several times in the first week to several months of wear, and as a nurse, I hardly wear my ring on my finger. My experience with the other shop had nearly left me in tears from their accusations and belittlement of both my stone and ring (whose center stone is actually a family heirloom from my grandmother); and my ring was never correctly repaired.However, when I decided to take my engagement ring to Dasheen to be repaired, they were kind, professional, and fairly priced. Fixed a rather difficult ring that has been in the family for the last 40 years and made it look better than when we got it new. Its really hard to find jewelers like this now adays. Truly are a great craftsman of his trade. Dikran, the owner is a great guy. Dikran created my custom wedding band out of platinum. It is absolutely stunning! He is a very honest man and incredibly easy to work with. I dont have a lot of opportunity to work with a master jewelry designer to create unique works of art that my loved ones an wear. Came to Dasheen to get my engagement ring resized. I was very nervous about leaving my ring with anyone and decided to try Dasheen based on the great reviews I found online. I was NOT disappointed. Dikran made me feel very welcome as soon as I stepped in the door. He took the time to examine my ring thoroughly and even checked the certificate number engraved on the diamond. He went through the sizing with me and helped me decide on a final size. He quoted me $80-90 which is almost exactly what i was expecting to pay, so very fair pricing. I dropped it off on Tuesday and he told me he would try to have it done by the end of the week, which I thought was great. Then I got a call on Wednesday that it was finished! The sizing was PERFECT and my ring was returned shiny & polished. INCREDIBLE customer service, EXCELLENT work, KNOWLEDGEABLE jeweler. I trust Dikran and will be using Dasheen for any jewelry needs. 100% recommend him

We were referred to Dikran from a friend of my mother’s. After ring shopping at a few of the chain jewelry stores I knew I wanted a custom piece. Dikran helped me take my vision to reality to build the perfect engagement ring. We used my mother’s diamond and he got the most perfect side diamonds to complement it. Dikran Nodznaia did a fantastic job helping me redesign my engagement ring. I had been wanting to lower the height of the diamond on my engagement ring setting for a few years to give it a lower profile and was told by another local jeweler that it was not possible with my current setting. When I called Dikran, he was extremely optimistic and was able to take a look at it the same day. As soon as he saw the ring, he immediately came up with creative and feasible ways to make it happen. He included me in the process and made sure I was happy with the design before each major step. Bottom line: creativity, craftsmanship, and friendliness-- all at a reasonable price.

My wife drove down all the way from Fallbrook to Dasheen Jewelry just to get her wedding band resized and cleaned. Dasheen not only did an excellent job in the cleaning and resizing but went above and beyond by repairing a weak point from a previous resize. I have had a wonderful experience with Dikran, owner of Dasheen Jewelry Studio.I inherited many years ago my grandmothers diamond wrist watch (which was too small) and had not done anything with it. A family member who has worked with Dikran suggested I meet with him. Dikran spent time getting to know me and then helped me create a one of a kind, gorgeous ring using many of the diamonds. It is stunning.He also suggested I leave intact the rest of the wrist watch putting my birthstone, aquamarines in place of the clock and as lengtheners for size. What makes Dasheen truly special is Dikran, the jeweler himself. We first went to Dasheen for repair on a vintage ring. Dikran took the time to explain the process, even pointing out some less than perfect work done on the ring previously. He repaired and refurbished the ring in a timely manner for a very reasonable cost. While at Dasheen I spotted a beautiful ring, made by Dikran, in a case. My husband went back to talk to him about making a similar, custom ring for me as a gift. They collaborated together—in secret!—on the design and Dikran crafted a truly gorgeous one-of-a-kind ring for me. We couldn’t be happier and can’t imagine shopping for jewelry (or having it repaired) anywhere else. Certainly not at one of those “big box” jewelry stores. Dikran of Dasheen is my favorite goldsmith of all the goldsmiths Ive ever worked with in over 25 years of doing custom design work for clients of my store. His craftsmanship combined with a amazing sense of design is certainly a real deal maker in having to please clients. A few months ago I moved to Florida from California but I will still continue to work with Dikran from afar.I can not say enough kind words about Dikran as a person and as the most talented goldsmith I know. He has worked in high positions in every facet of the fine jewelry industry utilizing his talent in excellent craftsmanship and design.Now that Dasheen Jewelry Store is open - now everyone can have first hand experience in working with Dikran.The detailing of him work is amazing - nothing less than the BEST !

I went to Dasheen Jewelry to look for a gift for my wife for our 20th anniversary. The traditional gift for the 20th is china, but the modern gift is platinum. I asked the owner, Dikran, about platinum jewelry, and he gave me a brief, informative discussion. Although he didnt have any platinum in stock, he showed me some of his original designs in gold. We worked together to design a necklace from platinum, diamonds, and rubies (our birth stones) that would meet my requirements and fit into my budget. By the time we figured out a design and agreed upon a price, there were only about 1.5 weeks until the anniversary, and he still needed to order the platinum and produce the necklace. Dikran completed the necklace with a couple of days to spare. It was exactly as specified, and it looked really pretty. My wife was very happy with the gift and said that it was a very beautiful design and a great fit.Thank you, Dikran.Update: We requested one minor modification and one small addition that we hadnt discussed as part of the original design. Dikran did them for free and with next-day service.Great service!

Its very rare to find a jeweler who takes such pride in his craft. For example, Dasheen store owner/jeweler Dikran was the first and only jeweler I know of that talked about light and shadow and how that can impact the look of a jewelry piece. When I first met Dikran I was a bit skeptical that he could create the ring design my wife and I were looking for mainly due to previous bad experiences with other jewelers (mall variety and downtown jewelers). However, Dikran was like finding a needle in a haystack. Unlike previous jewelers who made numerous changes to our ring design during ring creation without our consent (due to the fact that they often couldnt get the proportions causing them to have to change the design drastically), Dikran stayed true to course and recreated the ring design we wanted. Moreover, Dikran was very personable to deal with and kept in constant communication as if you were his #1 priority. If you are someone who has been going to the same mall jewelry stores (you know who they are), and are tired of the same old tactics and false promises I would definitely recommend Dikran.

Wondferfully kind and willing to clean, polish AND do a quick-fix on a small piece of jewelry without charging me. I look forward to bringing my of my jewelry to his Studio in the future.
